Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: “We are treating this as a terrorist investigation.”
Dealing with things as they are is always good, and at a premium in Britain these days.
Hopkins also said: “Our work will continue to ensure we get to the full facts of what happened and why it took place.”
Here’s “why it took place,” Ian: this man is a devout Muslim who believes in the Islamic State and the caliphate, as is evidenced by his shout: “Long live the caliphate. Allahu akbar.” The Islamic State called on Muslims in the UK to attack non-Muslims. He obeyed. That’s why this took place. No, don’t thank me. I’m happy to be of service.
“Manchester Victoria ‘terror’ stabbings happened hours after ISIS called for lone wolf attacks,” by Abigail O’Leary, Mirror, January 1, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The Manchester Victoria ‘terror’ attack happened just hours after ISIS called for lone wolf terror across the world….
Just hours before the stabbings, it was revealed ISIS fanatics had flooded the internet with material urging so-called ‘lone wolf’ attacks.
One poster threatened a New Year’s Day attack in New York while another clearly urges attacks in London – with a poster showing Big Ben in the background.
The London illustrated poster reads “welcome to bloody years” while an image showing the New York skyline and an ISIS soldier reads: “New York 1/1/2019” and a fire can be seen burning through the city.
“And hit them with the explosive belts and vehicle bomb, and shock them with adhesive explosives and packages, and harvest them with silencers and snipers, horrify and terrify the with the intrusions.”
There is no confirmed ISIS link and police tasered and pepper-sprayed the suspect at the scene before being arresting him “within minutes”.
He was seen on a Snapchat video shouting “Allahu Akbar” – meaning “God is the greatest” – as he was bundled into a police van.
A witness said the suspect also shouted about “bombings in other countries” and “Allah” during the incident….
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said in a latest update: “We are treating this as a terrorist investigation which is being led by counter terrorism officers with support from Greater Manchester Police. They were working throughout the night to piece together the details of what happened and to identify the man who was arrested.
“This detailed work will continue and we are currently searching an address in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester which is believed to be where the man had most recently been living. Our work will continue to ensure we get to the full facts of what happened and why it took place.”

Dear Police Chief Hopkins – your country’s ridiculous laws opening your country to such people have caught up with you again. They are full of hate to your values, yet they want them. They use fear to make you bow to your demands. What are you investigating when you know the real thing?? Don’t be politically correct, protect the UK and its’ people PLEASE! ISLAM is a religion about struggle – jihad – and that is why it does not like peace. Knifing elderly people and the person is proud about it??? Those people are inhuman.

Not sure this entirely makes sense.
“They are full of hate to your values, yet they want them.” No they don’t want the VALUES because (as you say) they hate them. They do, however, want the material advantages evident in the UK whilst stupidly failing to realise, or not bothering with the obvious fact, that these are a product of traditional UK values…..which they apparently hate. So the only logical outcome is that they end up wrecking the UK (and France, Germany, Sweden, etc. etc.) for everyone, reducing it to the sort of cesspit which would no doubt remind them of ‘home’. Then they’d claim to be ‘victims’ and seek refuge in some other place, which they can then go on to ruin.
“They use fear to make you bow to your demands.” You surely mean to ‘their’ demands? They use fear because they are arrogant thugs, nurtured by a thuggish ideology which was invented by the definitive arrogant thug.
“What are you investigating when you know the real thing??” Yes, we’re well aware of the ‘real thing, but we;re supposed to do things in the proper respectful, legal, democratic way – which disciples of the Great Prophet don’t seem to understand. Unfortunately, our nice “proper respectful, legal, democratic” processes have been corrupted through contact with these followers of the ‘Perfect Human Being’ (sic) and twisted to ends that are no longer what we’d properly recognise as ‘proper, respectful, legal and democratic’.

Useful hints for police …
In 2015, Graeme Wood wrote brilliantly in The Atlantic: “The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse … Nearly all the Islamic State’s decisions adhere to what it calls, on its billboards, license plates, and coins, “the Prophetic methodology … The reality is that the Islamic State is Islamic. Very Islamic.”
The article by Wood is worth re-reading: http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

even if they do conclude it’s a terrorist act inspired by Islamic State, nobody will take note. It will quickly be forgotten as another tragic, isolated incident of “radicalisation” – a word the general public does not connect with Islamic ideology, rather a strange phenomenon which can turn any normal person into a killing machine.
What made this guy receptive to “radicalisation” in the first place is never explored. Because that would suggest Islam has something to do with it, and that would be “painting all muslims with the same bigoted brush and lead to more radicalisation”. You reap as you sow.

They’ve concluded that it’s terrorism alright, but the poor terrorist had ‘mental issues’. Couldn’t possibly be anything to do with the Religion of Peace.

Why does a moslem jihadist, an islamofascist, who is pledged to attack Western nations and destroy them, — why does he attack a Western nation? I just don’t know. It’s a mystery to me. I don’t even know and I can’t imagine what the motive would be. In addition, I have no clue as to the motive or the meaning of this event. For that reason, I must release this man, and I don’t want his fingerprints, his photo, his name, or his address. Nor will I search him for weapons. Because that would be racist. I don’t even want to know his girlfriend’s name, his childrens’ names, his parents names, or any information about where he came from or how long he’s been here, what he’s doing here, what kind of car he drives, or what weapons he keeps at home or in his mosque. I don’t know any of his known associates, how long their beards are, what they have in store for us, none of that. I don’t want to know his weight, his age, his blood type, his DNA sample, his predilections, his attitude, his language, his religion or his gender. I don’t want to know if we bombed his country or not, whether he has a country, or if he’s a Soviet spy. I don’t want to know that. I don’t want to know where he is, I don’t want to know what he’s eating, I don’t want to know if he has a goat, or if he is having a sexual emergency. I don’t want to know if he makes kebab out of little girls, that’s his business.

The Chief Constable “doesn’t know” why it took place ?
I’m speechless. It must mean he DOESN’T WANT to know.

Dear UK,
For centuries you have adopted the laws necessary to keep order in your country, given the type of citizens you had. Now that you have decided to invite islam in, please centuple these laws to correspond to the new type of citizens you have in order to maintain the same order.

People forget that the whole of the Middle East and northern Africa was Judeo-Christian before Mohammed began the tactic of conversion by the sword. Islam is a heresy of conflated and erroneous Judaic and Christian doctrines. Islam hides behind religious tolerance but is weaponized politics.
