Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Australia: Top lawyers, judges and provincial Supreme Court justices go to mosque to show solidarity with Muslims

Feb 9, 2019 12:48 pm By Robert Spencer

They wanted to do this because of the outrageous “Islamophobia” of Justice Desmond Fagan in his call for Muslims to reject the violent exhortations of the Qur’an. Have any of these judges actually read the Qur’an? Do any of them have any idea whether or not Fagan’s assertions were correct? Almost certainly not.

Note also the photo accompanying the article, showing one of the visitors getting wanded at the mosque. Did mosque officials think these dignitaries were a terror threat? Or did they want to humiliate them in order to claim that security measures at airports etc. were humiliating to Muslims and should be discarded?

“Lawyers back Muslim community after controversial comments from bench,” by Michaela Whitbourn, Sydney Morning Herald, February 8, 2019 (thanks to Sidney):

The peak body for the legal profession in Australia has called for better “communication and understanding of the Islamic faith” by lawyers and judges, days after a NSW Supreme Court judge courted controversy by urging Muslims to publicly disavow violence in the Koran.

Justice Desmond Fagan, who has presided over a number of terrorism-related cases, said last week the “unqualified acceptance” of the Koran by Australian Muslims “without explicit repudiation of verses which ordain intolerance, violence and domination … will embolden terrorists to think they are in common cause with all believers”.

“If Australian followers of the religion, including those who profess deep knowledge, were to make a clear public disavowal of these verses, as not authoritative instructions from Allah, then the terrorists’ moral conviction might be weakened,” he said.

Justice Fagan was sentencing Sameh Bayda and Alo-Bridget Namoa, a young couple, both 21, found guilty in October last year of conspiring to do an act in preparation for a terrorist act between December 8, 2015 and January 25, 2016.

On Thursday evening, high-profile members of the legal profession and the judiciary, including NSW Supreme Court and Federal Court judges, attended an Islamic Service to mark the opening of the 2019 Law Term at the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque in Sydney.

The president of the Law Council of Australia, Arthur Moses, SC, said the Islamic Service was “a significant occasion for both the legal profession and the community” and it was “important that there is communication and understanding of the Islamic faith in Australia’s legal profession and the judicial process”.

“Without referring to or passing comment on any recent case, I make the observation that we must ensure that the criminal actions of a few are not used to unfairly judge, discriminate against or condemn a whole community and religion and that those who break our laws are the ones that pay the price and bear the punishment – not others wrongly implicated by association. Ultimately, we are one community,” he said….

In a statement last week, ANIC said it was “disappointed and deeply concerned about the comments which were recently made by Justice Desmond Fagan directed at Australian Muslims and Islam generally”.

It said Justice Fagan “did not have any regard to the mainstream and orthodox religious positions” relating to the verses relating to the verses of the Koran in question, “and instead implicated the community and faith at large, by association”.

“Muslims categorically reject extremist interpretations of the Koran and the misuse of Islam by extremists. Indeed extremists have caused immense suffering to Muslim communities around the world. Australian Muslim leaders, scholars and community members have repeatedly rejected extremist interpretations of the Koran,” the statement said….

What are the details in photo? One looks like he’s dancing (which is forbidden) and the hijab is wearing headphones?(or a 24 hour indoctrination headscarf.)

No one is dancing. One of these foolish Infidels is subjecting himself to a “wanding” for supposed security–and the Muslimah with the headphones is likely part of that window-dressing “security”. Of course, these dhimmis are no threat to anyone except their own society.

Many in the West–‘elite’ or otherwise–think of Muslims as ‘needy refugees’, instead of the threat they are.

Sheeple are easily lead. The entire MSM pushes it and the majority of Main Christian Churches also make millions out of Muslim relocations. Not so much for Christian or others refuges. WHY?
          .
Add to that why the left and especially the Democrats, considering who their Big Time Donors are, are workin actively to weaken Israel. A BIG why?

“Muslims categorically reject extremist interpretations of the Koran and the misuse of Islam by extremists. Indeed extremists have caused immense suffering to Muslim communities around the world. Australian Muslim leaders, scholars and community members have repeatedly rejected extremist interpretations of the Koran” …. that is an opening. What are the ‘extremist’ interpretations? Since they are still being misused how can Muslims be better informed? What are Islamic institutions doing to educate Muslims on the wrong interpretations?

    • mortimer says

      Feb 9, 2019 at 1:57 pm

Agree. Muslims who practice ALL of Islam are not ‘extreme’ … they are ‘observant’, ‘good’ Muslims.

Islam spread thru warfare and violence
There is no moral requirement in Islam to be truthful to the non believer
Islam is not your. Friend and can’t be
      the Koran doesn’t permit

  6. mortimer says

    Feb 9, 2019 at 1:55 pm

I think ‘extremist’ is a term that all Muslims would find inaccurate. A better term is ‘FULLY-COMPLIANT’ or ‘FULLY-OBSERVANT’.

Muslims who are observant of ALL of Islam are ‘PERFECT MUSLIMS’. They are not ‘extreme’ Muslims.

A ‘FULLY-COMPLIANT’ or ‘FULLY-OBSERVANT’ would realize the duty to be a jihadist or to financially support jihad or help jihadists by concealing them … aiding and abetting jihad, in other words.

Less than 1% of Muslims are ‘FULLY-OBSERVANT’ jihadists (jihad-ready) and about 15% of Muslims worldwide self-declare as supporters of militant jihad.

So, about 200,000,000 Muslims worldwide could be called ‘extremist’, but I still prefer to call them ‘FULLY-COMPLIANT’ or ‘FULLY-OBSERVANT’ Muslims.

    • PRCS says

      Feb 9, 2019 at 5:38 pm

The problem is not that you know what the problem is, rather it’s that Muslims and their useful idiots, like the article’s “filthy kuffar” lawyers, perpetuate the false notion that unequivocal submission to “Allah”, and full compliance with Qur’an at a minimum–(as is expected of ‘his/her/it’s’ every slave) is–always without explanation–extremism; a perversion of THE Religion of peace, a misreading of, etc.

Positive posts by non-Muslims at last weeks #World Hijab Day twitter page made clear how effective that propaganda is.

  7. mortimer says

    Feb 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm

ISLAM’S TOP UNIVERSITY (Al Azhar) DOES NOT CONSIDER ISIS TO BE ‘EXTREMISTS’ …

    – Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Sheikh and Grand Imam of Al Azhar refused to condemn ISIS terrorism, “Al Azhar cannot accuse any [Muslim] of being a kafir [infidel], as long as he believes in Allah and the Last Day—even if he commits every atrocity,” adding: “I cannot denounce ISIS as un-Islamic, but I can say that they cause corruption on earth. ISIS believes that those [Muslims] who commit the great sins are kafirs and can be killed. Thus if I denounce them of being un-Islamic, I fall into the same [trap] I am now condemning.”

    – in 2015, the former imam of the Grand Mosque of Mecca, Sheikh Adel al-Kalbani, declared that the Islamic State and Saudi Arabia “follow the same thought”. He has stated as well, that ISIS is a “true product of Salafism,” the same brand of Islam as officially espoused by Saudi Arabia. He clearly stated, “We [in Saudi Arabia] follow the same thought [as ISIS], but apply it in a refined way…They draw their ideas from what is written in our own books, from our own principles… we do not criticise the thought on which it (ISIS) is based”.

“Lawyers, judges, justices”….goes to show idiocy, stupidity, cowardice, are no respecters of “higher learning” or “professions.”

Simple common sense has been thrown by the wayside along with decency and morality. Anyone with a working brain, and with any measure of integrity, should be able to see how evil islam is.

Why should any thinking person want to be in “solidarity” with those who will stifle free speech, threaten never moslims, kill family members at the drop of a scarf, rape babies and small children repeatedly, even to the child’s death, mutilate little girls…sometimes to death, and lie, lie and lie, never taking any responsibility for any wrong doing, but pointing the finger of blame at the innocent?

The tipping point for this will soon be reached. It can’t come too soon.

And the answer to your question is:

        1. They get paid to defend the terrorists
        2. Justices and Judges tend to start out as lawyers, and need the income from defending said terrorists to start their careers
        3. They are more fearful of losing OPEC oil money than they are of Aussie taxpayers
        4. They hope to show their new slave masters that they really are nice guys and should not be taken to chop chop square when the caliphate dislodges western style republics and democracy.

The idea that most lawyers in Australia make their living by defending Jihadists is just terribly silly.

Muslims make up just 2.5% of the population in Australia. Even given their far higher crime rates, that they make up most of the clientele of Australian lawyers is ridiculous. Never mind the fact that many–probably most–lawyers are not criminal lawyers, in any case.

This has more to do with “political correctness” and proving they are not “Islamophobes” than anything else.

Justice Fagan dared to make a comment which drew attention to the calls for violence in the Koran and, almost immediately, these PC type, craven surrender merchants go into action, give Fagan a rap over the knuckles for speaking a little bit of the truth, and go crawling to the Muslim enemy. Our societies are in danger because there are far too many of these types of people ( I guess they’re the dhimmis) who keep sucking up to the Muslim enemy all the time.

Why are whole suburbs in Sydney no go zones for non muslims if it’s only a few “bad apples” causing the problems. Why aren’t the “radicals” being hauled into line by the “peaceful” muslims in these suburbs. Why do the police themselves prevent people from entering these zones; under threat of arrest if you don’t comply or “fail to obey a police directive”. The last thing the Law society and judiciary in Australia have is an understanding of islam. A radical muslim will cut your head off, a “moderate” one will pay for and hand him the sword. These fools are as much a threat as Islam is to Australian citizens. Who is keeping us Safe from the Safe keepers?
