“You said that Mohammed was married to an eight-year-old girl, and that in the Netherlands a grown man who marries a girl of eight is seen as a pedophile.”
Strictly speaking, the teacher was wrong: Muhammad married Aisha when she was six, and consummated the marriage (i.e., raped her) when she was nine. Hassan’s admission is unusual, as usually Islamic apologists in the West deny that Aisha was nine at all. The principal reason why this matters is because Muhammad is the “excellent example” for Muslims (Qur’an 33:21), to be imitated in all things. And so child marriage, which means the physical and psychological abuse of young girls, is widespread in some areas of the Islamic world.
Turkey’s directorate of religious affairs recently stated that the legal age of girls for marriage was nine. The Diyanet wouldn’t approve of child marriage if it weren’t Islamic, as it explains in its own defense. And child marriage has abundant attestation in Islamic tradition and law.
“Islam has no age barrier in marriage and Muslims have no apology for those who refuse to accept this” — Ishaq Akintola, professor of Islamic Eschatology and Director of Muslim Rights Concern, Nigeria
“There is no minimum marriage age for either men or women in Islamic law. The law in many countries permits girls to marry only from the age of 18. This is arbitrary legislation, not Islamic law.” — Dr. Abd Al-Hamid Al-‘Ubeidi, Iraqi expert on Islamic law
There is no minimum age for marriage and that girls can be married “even if they are in the cradle.” — Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, prominent cleric and member of Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council
“Islam does not forbid marriage of young children.” — Pakistan’s Council of Islamic Ideology
Hadiths that Muslims consider authentic record that Muhammad’s favorite wife, Aisha, was six when Muhammad wedded her and nine when he consummated the marriage:
“The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.88).
Another tradition has Aisha herself recount the scene:
The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, “Best wishes and Allah’s Blessing and a good luck.” Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. (Bukhari 5.58.234).
Muhammad was at this time fifty-four years old.
In April 2011, the Bangladesh Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini declared that those trying to pass a law banning child marriage in that country were putting Muhammad in a bad light: “Banning child marriage will cause challenging the marriage of the holy prophet of Islam, [putting] the moral character of the prophet into controversy and challenge.” He added a threat: “Islam permits child marriage and it will not be tolerated if any ruler will ever try to touch this issue in the name of giving more rights to women.” The Mufti said that 200,000 jihadists were ready to sacrifice their lives for any law restricting child marriage.
Likewise the influential website Islamonline.com in December 2010 justified child marriage by invoking not only Muhammad’s example, but the Qur’an as well:
The Noble Qur’an has also mentioned the waiting period [i.e. for a divorced wife to remarry] for the wife who has not yet menstruated, saying: “And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women, if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated” [Qur’an 65:4]. Since this is not negated later, we can take from this verse that it is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl. The Qur’an is not like the books of jurisprudence which mention what the implications of things are, even if they are prohibited. It is true that the prophet entered into a marriage contract with A’isha when she was six years old, however he did not have sex with her until she was nine years old, according to al-Bukhari.
Other countries make Muhammad’s example the basis of their laws regarding the legal marriageable age for girls. Article 1041 of the Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran states that girls can be engaged before the age of nine, and married at nine: “Marriage before puberty (nine full lunar years for girls) is prohibited. Marriage contracted before reaching puberty with the permission of the guardian is valid provided that the interests of the ward are duly observed.”
According to Amir Taheri in The Spirit of Allah: Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution (pp. 90-91), Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini himself married a ten-year-old girl when he was twenty-eight. Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl “a divine blessing,” and advised the faithful to give their own daughters away accordingly: “Do your best to ensure that your daughters do not see their first blood in your house.” When he took power in Iran, he lowered the legal marriageable age of girls to nine, in accord with Muhammad’s example.
“Teacher suspended after ‘insulting prophet,'” translated from “Leerkracht geschorst na ‘beledigen profeet,’” by Ilan Sluis, Telegraaf, February 26, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
HOOFDDORP – A technology instructor from the Hoofddorp vmbo school the Hoofdvaart College has been suspended for over a month because he offended the prophet Mohammed. Students from the school complained about this to the management. The instructor denies the accusation.
According to the engineering instructor, the accusation followed an incident in the classroom at the end of January. “A pupil told a classmate that her mother finds me ‘haram’, or dirty. I caught that and spoke to her about it. In the break, other students suddenly stood around me and shouted in high tones that I had offended the prophet,” says the instructor, who wants to remain anonymous for privacy reasons.
The disturbance in the corridors of the school was calmed down by the caretaker, but other pupils lodged a complaint with the director of the school. “I do not even teach these students”, says the instructor. The director of the Hoofdvaart College decided to suspend the instructor as a result of the complaint from the fellow students. He has been at home since then.
The director’s suspension letter states what the alleged insult of Prophet Muhammad is about. “You said that Mohammed was married to an eight-year-old girl, and that in the Netherlands a grown man who marries a girl of eight is seen as a pedophile,” it stated.
But the instructor denies having talked about the faith with students at all that day and never made this kind of statement. “I am a Christian myself and I know how important faith is. I respect everyone’s faith and would never say anything offensive about Islam,” he says.
The issue has now escalated to such an extent that the board of directors of the Dunamare Education Group umbrella organization, which includes the Hoofdvaart College, has extended the suspension for a maximum of three months….

The chief characteristic of immigration policy should be that, without mentioning any particular religion, the policy institutes a moratorium on immigration from any nation that does not protect freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Obviously that would affect Islamic nations, but it would also put pressure on Europe to provide stronger protections for free speech, and it would pressure states like China to liberalize. Since the proposed immigration policy would not mention any particular religion, it would not provoke huge First Amendment controversies, and thus might be politically possible to put in place. Such a policy, without mentioning Islam, would block Islamization in the West, and block that which accompanies Islamization, namely the erosion and eventual destruction of basic human rights. The immigration policy described could make exceptions for dissidents, oppressed minorities (if they respect freedom of religion and speech), and perhaps for scientists.

Just a tad impractical. Most immigrants to Canada and the U.S. in the past 400 years migrated to GET HUMAN RIGHTS and were running away from persecution.. Few of us would be here if we had to have come from liberal democracies.
Finally, people who want to immigrate will lie to get into the country — not just the muslims. Look at how many “active” Nazis were able to immigrate to Canada and the U.S. after WWII by lying on their applications.

I remember readin’ somewhere that since Muslims measure years by the lunar calendar then she was technically 8 according to our calendar.
eduardo odraude says
She was 9 lunar years old at consummation/rape. The Islamic calendar is a lunar one, meaning a year is defined as about 354 days.
If the consummation/rape took place soon after her 9th lunar birthday, then by our modern calendar, in which a year is about 365 days, she was in fact only 8, not 9. She still had over three months to go until her 9th birthday, as we reckon birthdays today.
eduardo odraude says
I’ll add that the sources do not say the consummation/rape took place “soon after her 9th birthday.” They simply say she was 9.

Suspend the prophet Muhammed in Europe, because he offends the dignity and honour of the European people.
Which is most important for the European politicians – to let the Europeans be offended or a non-European high priest of a lunar god be offended?
In reality both the Europeans and the adherents of the high priest of the lunar god cannot coexist at all. The ‘responsible’ European politicians only threaten and manipulate the Europeans; never muslims.
The European politicians have ‘de facto’ caved in to the demands of the followers of the lunar god.
The Anglo-saxons and the French in medieval times, bought off the Viking invaders to stop them from raiding and plundering England and France.
Today the European politicians invite their invading migrants voluntarily, submit freely to the muslim demands, pay the invaders heavily for not raiding, raping and plundering Europe and have abandoned all hope of freeing Europe from the islamic hordes.
The European politicians are paralyzed by fear of islam and are not even capable of buying the invading migrants off.
The cultural/political state of the islamic world today is no better than the cultural/political state of the vikings 1000 years ago, compared to the cultural/political state of Europe today.
If the European politicians do not respond to the demographic/cultural emergency, the European voters will in due time replace those politicians, preferably before the politicians replace the Europeans first.

For the sake of Islam, many authorities in Europe are prepared to sacrifice freedom of speech. That sacrifice may mean the death of liberal democracy within a generation or two.

Wow, this is like the beginning of the sort of thing that happens in Pakistan — in Pakistan we now and again hear of some Muslims accusing a Christian of blasphemy, and how the Christian is then imprisoned or killed, even though s/he may in fact have said nothing whatsoever about Islam or Muhammad. The non-Muslim in Pakistan has little or no legal recourse in any conflict with a Muslim.
Europe desperately needs a First Amendment equivalent.
Joe says
Yes, in Pakistan and every other Muslim country where Muslims are the top citizens and everyone else must submit. If a student wants to remove a teacher, then just accuse the teacher of blasphemy. No evidence is needed. The state stands behind the ridiculous blasphemy charge. For example, an Indonesian governor, who was not Muslim, was removed by his opponent (a direct conflict of interest) over an empty blasphemy charge. That’s life under sharia law.

Well. this is why Asia Bibi could not be guaranteed asylum in The Netherlands. Falsely accused, just like this instructor. But in islam you do not have the 10 commandments “do not lie” . All my life at school and university I have heard “God damn me” (strictly forbidden in Christianity as it insults God) and no one ever was fired or suspended or reprimanded!. Europe has its nose on the ground towards Mekka.

The word “damn” or “damnation” in the Bible was used by an Israelite to call for God to judge the person being “damned.” it is not a cursing of God. It was a request for God to Judge the other person…someone like a Canaanite or a Philistine, hence an enemy of Israel.
2 Thessalonians uses the word “damned”…and was written by the Apostle Paul about ones who take pleasure in evil, or “unrighteousness.” This was a letter written to Christians in Thessalonica. There is nothing un-Christian about the word, and Christianity does not “forbid” the word.
But for many years, children were taught not to “curse” and since damning someone was seen as calling for a “curse”…or Judgment…many parents advised their kids not to say the word.
God is the Judge Who will decide who is “damned” or Judged to receive punishment, whether or not another person calls for it.
Renee says
Thanks. Using Gods name in vain, and in combination with wanting someone or yourself to go to hell, is a sin in Christianity. And God does not want his name to be used in such a way, so lightly and negatively. So, same thing. But was never a problem in my work environment.

There is no reason to think the teacher did not say this. It is just a minor error; in whole the teacher was quite right about the “Prophet” being a pedophile rapist.

Mohammed married a 6-year-old child then committed statutory rape on her three years later. That is definitive paedophilia on two counts. So he’s ipso facto a paedophile. How is an accurate description of someone simultaneously an insult?

He was “damned if he did” and “damned if he didn’t.” And, he says he “didn’t…but when it comes to the present world circumstance, moslims who lie are always believed over the other, never moslim who tells the truth.
The “mother” says bad things about a living human. Her kid repeats it. The teacher hears it…about himself. He attempts to refute the “slander.” He is verbally attacked and surrounded by the attackers…who are all taught from day one to lie and lie and lie again…even after all of the cows come home. The fat lady has sung all her songs and still the lies go on and on.
He is suspended for three months…if he said it, for telling the truth about the mass-murdering raper of children; and if he didn’t say it…because they know it is immoral and illegal, but it is what their father’s, clerics, imams, mullahs, brothers and every other moslim male practices…and therefore, they lied and said he told them it’s wrong.
The nations are being “gathered” by the “unclean expressions from the mouths of the three frogs from satan” to the all-out War of Armageddon. It is a march to the “final showdown” between these evils of islam, and the evils of corruption, and rape, and the evils of the slaughter of children on one side, and the Greatness of Righteousness and Goodness and Morality and Honesty, on the other side. satan’s forces against those of God and Christ.
Until that day, more and more people will be treated as this teacher has been, and, is being treated.

And I’m not advocating that anyone ask God to send another to “hell.” But, I do ask Him to give to each one what He decides that each one deserves. Because that is asking Him to “do His will on earth.”

I always find it amusing and rather presumptuous when a western convert to the muslim religion claims that those who have been practicing the religion for over 1500 years would try and interpret what the Quran says by attempting to call them radicals..

We hear them say they are misinterpreting the Quran, I even remember obama once implying that those who practice sharia law in the way the terrorists interpret it are mental.

When will we in the West wake up to the reality that those in charge of the religion determine the meaning of the Quran not we in the west.
