Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Pennsylvania: Muslim lawmaker says prayer in name of Jesus “represented Islamophobia”

Mar 26, 2019 12:00 pm By Robert Spencer

Rep. Stephanie Borowicz’s prayer may have been inappropriate in a setting in which not everyone present was Christian. We have, however, seen many imams say prayers at various legislative bodies that are not non-sectarian, but manifestly Islamic and even condemning of Jews and Christians, while the non-Muslim lawmakers stand with oblivious heads bowed. But “Islamophobic”? This illustrates how absurd charges of “Islamophobia” are, and how any manifestation of faith other than Islam is sometimes seen as offensive to Muslims, as we saw in Uganda in December. All these Democrats who are proclaiming their Christian faith but deploring Rep. Borowicz’s prayer should thus calm Movita Johnson-Harrell’s rage by converting to Islam and thus removing the source of her feelings of offense.

“Muslim Lawmaker Says Prayer in Name of Jesus is Islamophobic,” Todd Starnes, March 26, 2019:

Pennsylvania’s first female Muslim lawmaker in the General Assembly accused a Republican colleague of Islamophobia after she opened a legislative session with a prayer that invoked the name of Jesus Christ.

“Jesus, you are our only hope,” Rep. Stephanie Borowicz prayed. “At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus, that you are Lord.”

Movita Johnson-Harrell, who was sworn into office after the prayer, said the prayer was “highly offensive to me, my guests, and other members of the House.”

Borowicz delivered the prayer shortly before Movita Johnson-Harrell — the first Muslim woman elected to the General Assembly — was sworn in.

“It blatantly represented the Islamophobia that exists among some leaders — leaders that are supposed to represent the people,” Johnson-Harrell said in a statement published by the Pennsylvania Capital Star. “I came to the Capitol to help build bipartisanship and collaborations regardless of race or religion to enhance the quality of life for everyone in the Commonwealth.”

A number of Democrats, including House Minority Whip Jordan Harris, accused the freshman lawmaker of weaponizing her religion to “intimidate, demean and degrade” Johnson-Harrell.

“Let me be clear. I am a Christian. I spend my Sunday mornings in church worshiping and being thankful for all that I have,” Harris told PennLive.com. “But in no way does that mean I would flaunt my religion at those who worship differently than I do. There is no room in our Capitol building for actions such as this, and it’s incredibly disappointing that today’s opening prayer was so divisive.”

So this is the prayer that the Democrats considered to be demeaning, degrading and Islamophobic:

“Jesus, I thank you for this privilege Lord of letting me pray God. That, I, Jesus am your ambassador today. Standing here representing you – the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Great I Am, the One who is coming back again, the one who came, died and rose again on the third day. I’m so privileged to stand here today. So thank you for this honor, Jesus.

“God, for those that came before us like George Washington in Valley Forge and Abraham Lincoln who sought after you in Gettysburg and the Founding Fathers in Independence Hall – Jesus – that sought after you and fasted and prayed for this nation to be founded on your principles and your words and your truths.

“God forgive us. Jesus we’ve lost sight of you. We’ve forgotten you, God, in our country. And we are asking you to forgive us, Jesus. Your promise in your word says if my people who are called by name will humble themselves and pray and seek your face and turn from their wicked ways that you’ll heal our land. Jesus, you are our only hope.

“God , I pray for our leaders – Speaker Turzi, Leader Culter, Governor Wolf, President Trump. Lord, thank you that he stands beside Israel unequivocally Lord. Thank you that – Jesus – that we are blessed because we stand by Israel and we ask for the peace of Jerusalem as your word says God.

“We ask that we not be overcome by evil and that we overcome evil with good in this land once again. I claim all these things in the powerful, mighty name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that you Jesus are lord. In Jesus name Amen.”

In other words, Borowicz prayed the way the Bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our elected leaders and in the name of Jesus.

But Pennsylvania Democrats were clearly triggered by the name of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Democrat Rep. Margo Davidson shouted “objection” near the end of the lawmaker’s prayer….

      The muslima subscribes to the false muslim god allah “the BEST of deceivers”
      {allah khayru-i-makireena}k3:54

      muslims don’t get the BEST of deceiver’s bit.

      It is no surprise the muslims hate Jesus when you know that {Sahih Muslim vol 5 hadith #5611}refers to allah’s greatest enemy as being MALIK AL AMLAK{“king of kings”}.If that is true then that is WHY the muslims PRETEND to respect Jesus when in fact they hate Him.

      These taqqiya-tongued champions at bearing false witness{..a sin against God but not to allah the BEST of deceivers,islam’s false god..}in political life can never,ever, be trusted to be loyal to anything except their false god of Evil and their psychopathic false prophet{a self-confessed Liar al tabari 6:111…at least before allah changed his confession..and a mass-murderer Abu dawud 4390}

      She must surely praise her false “prophet” muhammed although it must be quite awkward sometimes..muslims don’t get Irony…..

      “Whoever said that the prophet was black is KILLED.the prophet was not black”
      {Ash Shifa}

      It’s hard not to laugh but the WORST possible insult that anyone could say against the Black-slave trading muhammed{Sahih Muslim 3901}was that he was…black.

      So terrible was it to say that the black-slave trading muhammed was black that it merited execution.Of course allah{the MSP:Muhammed’s Sock Puppet}/muhammed didn’t think women were much value either..any time that muslima says PBUH to muhammed:she is praising… a WHITE black-slave selling Terrorist psychopath.

      It just doesn’t get any dumber than that..

      Sahih Bukhari 3:48:826 allah thinks women are “deficient in intelligence”.allah is also OK with women being raped{Abu Dawud vol 2 hadith # 2155}
      muhammed{sbuh} said that the reason the Testimony of a woman was HALF that of a man was because of “the deficiency of a woman’s mind”{Sahih Bukhari 2658}

      A god who thinks it is OK for women to be raped or enslaved{k4:24}is EVIL.

      The muslimas in office ALL subscribe to a TERRORIST “prophet”{Sahih Bukhari 4:52:220}and a god who thinks rape is OK ..and that women are inferior,not worth the same as a man…their loyalty is to their false god,false “prophet”,false scripture and false cultish religion..

          On the other hand,Ex-Christians who become muslims often make for the most vicious,virulently antiChristian,fanatical muslims{which is why they end up in Jail or ..dead:The path of HATE}

          Think of all those ex-Christians who chose the Way of the Sword:they lost their lives following a false god.People really do reap what they sow.

          In these times when neither the protestant nor catholic traditions seem willing to represent the Truth anymore,I would still suggest that if someone comes from a christian background and is fed up with Rome etc…it is absolutely imperative that they be WISE enough to..

How about this one: “Eusebius”! (OK, you probably never heard of that one). AH! HERE’s one… JESUS CHRIST! NOW you have a reaction, right? THAT’s BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS THE CREATOR GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, and deep in your gut, you KNOW this! THAT’s why we KNOW Jesus is who he is and did what he did, and we are accountable to Him. It’s so simple

    And therein lies the threat to freedom if moslims get their way: No one will be allowed to say anything that moslims don’t like or with things that they disagree. There will be no mention of Jesus or anything out of the Bible or about The True God.
    It isn’t just that they don’t want to allow things where people express hatred of islam, or dislike of islam, or a problem with the practices of moslims… examples: preying in the street, loudspeakers blasting their call to prey, mutilation of children…but that they will not allow any mention of any other religion or faith based comment anywhere, anytime, by anyone. Because these are all within their definition of the “phobia”…although they don’t now make that clear to the public. They pretend it’s just about hate.

        Weirdly enough, a lot of people of who vote for these Muslims are Christians who are trying to be “welcoming” and “open-minded” and “inclusive”. We need to be smarter than this. As to the prayer, as a Christian I have sat through many long-winded and tedious prayers that were sop for do-gooders (the hallmark is the repetitious, never-ending evoking of “Jesus”, “Lord”, “Father”, “God” in the middle of a sentence for no reason. This prayer is one such. Terrible construction, but the sentiments are in no way “islamophobic” (not a word, even) and should not offend. The prayers spewed from the mosques, calling for death of America, death for “infidels”, etc., is supposed to be ok with the rest of us? Really? This Muslim congresswoman should know she is part of a body which is historically Christian. She does not regard it as a privilege to serve her country or her congressional district. It’s all about HER. If she finds she can’t function in a Western government she should simply resign. Better yet, go find a Muslim government country which will accept her and move there. She might be able to serve such a government. She clearly cannot serve this one.

    To the extent religious principles played a role in America’s founding and development (and they did), such principles are Judeo-Christian and NOT Islamic (thank God).

    And just imagine for a moment if a non-Muslim in a legislature to be found in a Muslim-majority nation objected to any reference to the Islamic faith. Yeah, such a person would be lucky to get off with his life.

    With Islam it’s always a one-way street, one of many reasons why I have come to despise this religion as I despise no other. Islam stinks.

      (paraphrasing from interview)

      Why would a Jewish guy named David Horowitz defend Christianity in America?

      Horowitz:
      American could only be created by Protestant Christians. What values we hold dear are formed by Christians. Defending rights now or they will be destroyed. Islam hates the West. “Unholy Alliance”. Enemy of Enemy is Friend. Send the Leftists on a one way ticket to their favorite countries. Thanks for that, CRUSADER. I heard Horowitz talk about this last week on the Dennis Prager radio show. He is correct.

        It took the Protestant Christian world to create America. Whatever positives the Catholic and Orthodox worlds have, there are too many intermediary aspects to them, and too much deference to authority with them, to have allowed for the creation of a polity like America.

        I have long argued that the single greatest achievement of Protestant Christianity is the creation of the USA. Baring your soul directly to the God you believe in, which is what the Reformation was largely about, and every person more or less being their own interpreter of what the New Testament really means, was as much of a necessary pre-condition to the creation of the USA as the invention of agriculture in the Neolithic Era was to the creation of civilization (because without agriculture man must be constantly on the move and the establishment of fixed places due to agriculture allowed villages, towns and cities to appear which in turn allowed for a demarcation of tasks, thus allowing for the creation of civilization, because thereafter not virtually everyone had to forage for food).

          Those who are not Christian, should be aware that these kinds of prayers are said in government offices. They have been since the Founding. Some places in present day, more so than others.
          For moslims to run for office and then demand that this no longer happens because they “are offended”…no matter how short/long the prayer…is offensive.

          Expecting things to change just for them is like someone going to a ballet or a concert with a symphony orchestra playing Brahm’s Lullaby, and complaining that it isn’t a polo game played with severed heads.

    Pennsylvania: Muslim lawmaker says prayer in name of Jesus “represented Islamophobia”

    This illustrates how absurd charges of “Islamophobia” are, and how any manifestation of faith other than Islam is sometimes seen as offensive to Muslims…
    …………………………

    Under Shari’ah law no public manifestation of any faith save Islam is ever allowed.

    This, from the Pact of Umar:

    We shall not build, in our cities or in their neighborhood, new monasteries, Churches, convents, or monks’ cells, nor shall we repair, by day or by night, such of them as fall in ruins or are situated in the quarters of the Muslims…

    We shall not manifest our religion publicly nor convert anyone to it…

    https://sourcebooks.fordham.edu/source/pact-umar.asp

    More:

    A number of Democrats, including House Minority Whip Jordan Harris, accused the freshman lawmaker of weaponizing her religion to “intimidate, demean and degrade” Johnson-Harrell.
    …………………………

    This may or may not have been appropriate in a setting where many were non-Christians, but “weaponizing her religion” by saying a prayer in the name of Jesus? If Jordan Harris *really* wants to see literal weaponization of religion, he need only look at what pious Jihadists do in the name of their vicious creed.

    • Wellington says

      Mar 26, 2019 at 8:12 pm

      He should, gravenimage, he most certainly should, but either: 1) he won’t at all; or 2) if he did he would, in full ignorance mode, say something along the lines of how the peaceful and wonderful Islamic faith has been hijacked by a tiny minority of extremists.

      Jordan Harris knows no more about Islam than Joe Biden, who knows nothing at all about Mo’s creed, even though the Doofus from Delaware attempted to lecture Ayaan Hirsi Ali on Islam, to wit, “Let me tell you something about Islam……….”

      Huge numbers of legislators, judges and those in executive authority here in the US to this very day know zilch about Islam, and such ignorance can only profit Islam since ignorance invariably profits iniquity. Nothing quite aids malevolence like ignorance. Cowardice is up there. Apathy too. But ignorance is a “contender” here for first place. Jordan Harris serves as a fine example of this “malady.” The man is neither wise nor informed.

      In short, another nothing in politics. Islam prizes such “nothings.” It aids their great “cause.”

      “This may or may not have been appropriate</i? in a setting where many were non-Christians, but “weaponizing her religion” by saying a prayer in the name of Jesus?"

      But to Johnson-Harrell's "Islamophobia" argument: how did the woman saying the rayer–and the prayer itself" express an 'irrational fear of Islam"?

      She should have been challenged–on the spot–to first define "Islamophobia" and to then explain how that prayer met her definition.

    Pastors have started 40 days continuous curse prayer, fasting to protect the world from Anarchy and Tyranny and to stop terrorism kinda bigotry. They may curse generations of evil kingdoms.So Islamic kingdoms can not continue for a long period. So God will send his powers to Israel. Probably, Jesus would come Israel.

    Lydia Church, thank you so much for your comment and God bless you. But Morvita Harrel should be educated ( in case she’s ignorant) that the foundation upon which our nation is built is the “WORD OF GOD” with God almighty, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in attendance and NOT, and would never be, the satanic religion called lslam.

    And as for the Democrats such as Margo Davidson criticising your prayer….. l am not surprised because the Democrats have openly become a party of the devil and they have never hidden their hatred for God and Christian values our nation stands for.

    Once more, God bless you Lydia Church
    God bless our beloved God-Chosen president TRUMP.
    God bless the USA
    God bless the state of ISRAEL.
    God bless all true christians and children of God all over the world.

    Further proof that the Christian God is not the same as the Muslims’ Allah. Do not believe those who try to convince you the two are one and the same god.

    There is no religious test allowed in Congress per our Constitution. All the state Constitutions are supposedly patterned after the U.S. Constitution. When it is the Muslim’s turn to say a prayer, she can invoke Allah if she chooses. This particular Christian prayer was the choice of the rep that gave it. That is how our system of government works. Pay attention, Democrats, the American people are watching, and come Nov 2020 they will answer you all.

    well if we’re Islamophobic, then their Christianophobic, this works both ways….P.S. what a sick depraved culture & religion. people stand up to these demonic influenced people, seriously our governments need to stop kissing their assess, their going way to far, they left their country BUT have the audacity to try to change our country to the 1 they left. SERIOUSLY….

    the nerve to come to a foreign country with a lie (“refugee”) and then demanding the inhabitants of said country to show restraint when exercising their religion…
    It takes an amount of impertinence that so far has not been known in Europe.

    I stand with Stephanie Borowicz, let that muslim lawmaker be careful with her speech because this Jesus that Stephanie prayed to will someday deal with her if she does not repent. Scripture say in the last day unbelievers like her will mourn and say to the rocks to hide them from the wrath of Jesus. Jesus is really alive because she and others were offended at that name. Scripture say Jesus is a stumbling block, a rock of offense to unbelievers.
    The real deal is not Islamophobia but Christ-phobia, they hate him. It’s a society of freedom of religion. To other so called christians who were ashamed of Stephanie’s prayer, Jesus is ashamed of them

    Do they have social-studies teachers in these places?

    Since Christianity predated islam, there’s nothing in the Bibles beyond a reference of Jesus’ to the old proto-islamic religions of the area being “dog-food” to be islamo-phobic about anyway!

    According to some reports, a Muslim cleric was invited to pray after the new Muslim rep was installed in the PA House, and he prayed first in Arabic, then in English. Does anyone know where I can get a clip of that so as to translate what he prayed? I imagine it was the Fatiha, but want to check for sure. If so, it would once again demonstrate the hypocrisy and double standard of liberal politicians — excoriating a Christian for praying to and in the name of Jesus while giving a pass to a Muslim reciting a prayer that insults Jews as those who have earned Allah’s wrath and Christians as those who have gone astray.
