“We are shocked and outraged to learn that one of our guest speakers said reprehensible anti-Jewish remarks on the floor of Al-Aqsa,” said mosque official Chukri Khorchid, but it’s more likely that he is shocked and outraged that one of their guest speakers got caught making reprehensible anti-Jewish remarks.
There you go again, Spencer, you greasy Islamophobe, always assuming the worst — right? In this case, as in so many others, there are eminently sound reasons for doing so.
As I showed here, what the imam Abdelmohsen Abouhatab preached was based on passages from the Qur’an and Hadith. What’s more, the Qur’an depicts the Jews as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the well-being of the Muslims. They are the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).
“War is deceit,” said Muhammad (Bukhari 4.52.268).
An update on this story. “North Philadelphia mosque officials apologize for anti-Semitic statements delivered in sermons by guest imam,” by Kristin E. Holmes, Philadelphia Inquirer, March 9, 2019:
Officials at a North Philadelphia mosque known for its commitment to interreligious dialogue have apologized for anti-Semitic statements made by a guest imam during several sermons delivered there over the last few months.
The comments in Arabic by Imam Abdelmohsen Abouhatab at Al-Aqsa Islamic Society included a reference to Jews as “the vilest” people, according to videotaped excerpts released last week by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which monitors and translates Arabic and Muslim media….
The Inquirer has confirmed the accuracy of the translation with several area professors who are fluent in Arabic.
Al-Aqsa leaders condemned the comments in a statement on the mosque’s website.
“We are shocked and outraged to learn that one of our guest speakers said reprehensible anti-Jewish remarks on the floor of Al-Aqsa,” Chukri Khorchid, secretary of the mosque’s board of trustees, and Imam Mohamed Shehata said in a statement posted on the Al-Aqsa Society website. “This in no way represents our beliefs or policies. We condemn this action and will make sure that this never happens again.”…
Officials of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in Philadelphia reached out to the mosque after learning about the statements and were told that Al-Aqsa Society leaders had launched an investigation and also affirmed that “hate against Jews or any group” would not be tolerated, according to a statement released Saturday by the ADL.
“We are grateful for Al-Aqsa’s rapid and resolute response, and we will continue to serve as a resource to the mosque as they work to combat anti-Semitism,” the ADL statement said. “As we have often said while standing alongside our Interfaith partners in the wake of acts of bigotry: anti-Semitism and hate have no place in our communities.”…

Oh, sure. They were unaware of just who they invited to give sermons in their barracks. They had to be aware of his rep, but even if they weren’t, they would have heard what he said while he was saying it…if they are devout little satan worshippers who never miss a chance to prey about whom they will slice and dice for not serving their fake ‘god.’
They would never have ‘apologized’ for the “hate” if never-moslims hadn’t found them out and reported on the sermons calling for evil things to happen. The “inter” stuff is just a weapon to keep those who engage with them in the dark as to their evil designs.
DBM echo says
“but even if they weren’t, they would have heard what he said while he was saying it”
Look at the video. Do you see anyone upset at what’s being said? There are no protests; no one stands and shouts back at him. No one.
They know what he’s saying is black-and-white core tenets from their Qur’an. They do think these things about the Jews.
gravenimage says
Good spotting. Of course none of them were upset.
somehistory says
DBM echo wrote “They know what he’s saying”
***********
And that is what I said….that they didn’t “apologize” until it was pointed out by never moslims. Since everyone who comments here…mostly…knows that hatred of Jews and Christians is a ‘pillar’ of what they say during their preying, I didn’t feel it was necessary to write that in my comment.
Their apology means nothing as they didn’t mean a word of it and this sermon business will be said again and again, no matter which moslim is saying one.

Were they Shocked and outraged when they read it in the Qur’an and were told it was the unchanging word of Allah??? Actually, I was shocked to read it over and over again in their supposed holy book.
It is the antisemitism that will eventually bring this thing down when it is seen as the same thing the nazigroups, Supremacists of any kind or as the KKKlan is. But it all has to go.
Rufolino says
There would have been no fake ‘outrage’ if the speaker had not been found out, outside the mosque.
The evil being taught in mosques all over the West urgently requires monitoring !
But it never will be, because authorities have already surrendered to Islam.
CogitoErgoSum says
If the words of the Quran do not represent the views of Muslims towards the Jews, then what event in history caused those views to change? On what day of what year did the demand to subdue the Jews (and Christians) per Quran 9:29 expire? What official and “holy” document or decree abolished the obligation of Muslims to collect the Jizya from the People of the Book and made those People the equals of Muslims? Show me proof of this and I will believe that the Muslims’ “shock and outrage” is real. Otherwise, I think they are liars.
mgoldberg says
The ADL is complicit and their response is laughable. They all got caught and they act like it’s some rarity that never happens. Oh… and by the way, mentioning any of those quotes of Mohammed and his Qu’ran is strictly forbidden….. especially when it’s in the context of the daily sermons at most mosques in the nation, and the world.

They do feel they have to tread lightly…the whole world seems against them and they know the holocaust really did happen just as all the pogroms in so many countries over so many centuries. It almost has to be non Jews who raise the issue loudly first. It does stir things up and not just with Muslim countries but with all the Multinationals making big profits in mid East and taking donations for business partners here…the newest like Boeing in South Carolina making deals with Qatar. But it is all over. Sweden, Switzerland…ever hear Christine Novako.?.. something or other of Wealth Management for Europe blabber over all the money in the MidEast that she is helping hook up to. I heard her on Bloomberg. It gave me such a sinking feeling.

So the ADL states: “We are grateful for Al-Aqsa’s rapid and resolute response . . ..” This “sermon” occurred on February 5, 2019 and was witnessed by what appears to be at least 200 people. A rapid and resolute response would have been for them to object on February 6, 2019 and not wait until a MEMRI video was posted before saying or doing anything.

Even the islamic version of the Angel Gabriel,jibreel the demon, is defined as being “the Enemy of the Jews” {Sahih Bukhari 4:60:3329}
So ..
An antisemitic god allah {“The best of deceivers” k3:54} sent..
An antisemitic “angel” jibreel to recite the koran ..
An antisemitic “holy” book to ..
An antisemitic “prophet” muhammed
THAT is ilhan omar’s god!
You can see where islamic antisemitism comes from:allah{ MSP},muhammed and the koran
If anything, muslims should RESPECT the Jews…but the problem is that allah is himself ludicrously antisemitic…

We cannot comprehend the deceit of a so called moderate Muslim.
“We are shocked that our guest did what he did” Are they trying to imply that the Koran does not have any incitement to violence or murder to Jews and the rest? If the answer is Yes, why not state that Koran does not have any such reference to hatred or murder.
This is the best managed contradiction of our times and so many want to be in the same muck.
Exposing these glaring contradictions of moderates and Muslims is of course Isamophobia and hatred. How cowardly of Islam?

Remember this?
January 7, 2016, in a sudden attack with no precipitating event, Edward Archer rushed towards and shot Philadelphia police officer Jesse Hartnett while he drove his patrol car, inserting the gun into the window of the car and firing at point blank range. The assailant was well known to Asim Abdur Rashid, imam of Masjid Mujahideen in West Philadelphia….(despite the imam initially saying he didn’t know him.)

I am not Jewish. In fact, I believe no religion. However, I am alarmed at the growing anti-Semitism in the US, particularly what seems to be the philosophy of the Democrats in Congress. Nancy Pe!osi was afraid to even mention Omar in that so-called anti-Semitic resolution and said Omar didn’t really understand what she said. Omar is a refugee from Somalia. The worst of the worst. She knew exactly what she said and it was anti-Semitic. Our Congress is beginning to sound like the Reichtag in 1936. We cannot tolerate this.

If they were “shocked” it probably means that they were not saying their “prayers” five times a day. My wife was walking through a Mosque where a man was chanting his prayers out loud. It went like this, “The Jews are pigs. The Jews are monkeys.”
Do the Muslims have certain prayers they say during the day? In other words, are all Muslims praying the same thing?
Jack Holan says
Although I’m sure there are very hard working, dedicated staff at ADL who do Produce excellent work; there is a point I must bring out when it comes to their dealings with Muslim Mosques or individuals vis a vis a similar set of circumstances when it comes to a White Christian Church with a guest speaker using Christianity as a cover for their hate.
In both cases the members of the House Of Worship aren’t guilty of anything other than being there at the same time a Hate-filled Speaker addresses them. The ADL has been known to reach out with soft gloves to turn lemons into lemonade and create a positive PR moment for both the Mosque and the ADL. When it come to a Hate-filled speaker at a White Christian Church the ADL Has less tolerance, less forgiving and more inclined to be accusatory I would hazard a guess that in both cases that if there hadn’t been a culture of Hate that neither speaker would succeed in getting many words out before the Congrgants would shut him down. Does the ADL believe that the Board or Wafq didn’t know what was in the speech beforehand or have an i idea what would be said? Of course they did and the ADL knows it. This a way of throwing a safety line. Jonathon Greenblatt was part of President Obama’s Administration. I find it hard to believe he would be gullible enough to embrace the fantasy that the President sat in Rev Wright’s Church for 20 years and did not feel and hear the hate emanate from the Rev about White People,Jews, and Israel. So as in this case Mr Greenblatt don’t act too dumb both with the real live event and Scenario of the White bigoted Church
