Apparently terrorism that is condoned by religions is fine with him, as in “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60).
And by “hate speech” he likely means honest discussion of how Islamic jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence.
“King Salman in tweet calls for combating hate speech, terrorism,” Al Arabiya, March 15, 2019:
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman reacting to the attacks on two mosques in New Zealand tweeted that it was a terrorist attack and called on the international community to combat hate speech and terrorism.
The tweet read: “The heinous massacre that targeted worshippers in the mosque in New Zealand is a terrorist act, and it reaffirms the responsibility of the international community in combating hate speech and terrorism that is not condoned by religions or the values of tolerance.”…

The Koran is mainly HATE SPEECH directed against KAFIRS …
There are over 400 references in the Koran to hate, over 300 references in the Koran to Allah and FEAR, but there are only 49 references to love. Of these love references, 39 are negative such as the 14 negative references to love of money, power, other gods and status.
Three verses command humanity to love Allah and only 2 verses are about how Allah loves a believer. There are 25 verses about how Allah does NOT love kafirs (disbelievers).
This leaves 5 verses about love. Of these 5 verses, 3 are about loving kin or a Muslim brother. One verse commands a Muslim to give money for the love of Allah. This leaves only one quasi-universal verse about love: give what you love to zakat-charity and even this is contaminated by dualism since Muslim zakat-charity only goes to other Muslims. There are OVER 400 teachings of HATE directed against all disbelievers: Jews, Christians, Idolaters and Kafirs.
So much for love. HATE and FEAR are what Allah demands in the Koran.

Examples of hate speech from Islamic authorities:
-Imam Abdul-Latif ibn Abdur-Rahman Rahimullah said, “It is not possible for someone to realize Tawheed (Islamic faith) and act upon it, and yet not be HOSTILE against the mushrikeen (i.e. wrong worshippers). So anyone who isn’t HOSTILE against the mushrikeen, then it cannot be said that he acts upon Tawheed nor that he realizes it.” [ad-Durar as-Saniyyah 8/167]
-“The doctrine of al Walaa wal Baraa is the REAL IMAGE for the actual practice of this faith.” – source “Al Walaa wal Baraa According to the Aqeedah of the Salaf”, by Sheikh Muhammad Saeed al Qatani, authoritative Saudi Sharia lawyer and imam at the Abu Bakr and Al Furqan Mosques in Mecca. – https://islamfuture.wordpress.com/2009/08/20/al-wala-wal-bara-according-to-the-aqeedah-of-the-salaf-parts-123/
-Shaykh Ahmad ibn ‘Atiq said:
“There isn’t in the Book of Allah the Exalted – after the issue concerning the obligation of tawheed and the forbiddance of its opposite (kufr=wrong belief)- any issue which has as so many proofs, nor so clearly explained, than the issue of al-walaa’ and al-baraa’.” (W-B is ‘Islamic apartheid’)
– Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Qahtaani said: “Thus, it is clear that Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara calls on Muslims to “love” their fellow Muslims and hate the non-Muslim (or Kafir).”
– from Sufi scholar Ahmad Sirhindi (1564-1624): “The honour of Islam lies in INSULTING kufr and kafirs. One who respects the kafirs dishonours the Muslims… The real purpose of levying jiziya on them is to HUMILIATE them to such an extent that they may not be able to dress well and to live in grandeur. They should constantly remain TERRIFIED and TREMBLING. It is intended to hold them under CONTEMPT and to uphold the honour and might of Islam.”
– from ibn Taymiyya, “Book of Emaan”: “… true believers show ANIMOSITY and HATRED towards disbelievers and NEVER support them.”
– from Umar Sulayman ‘Abd-Allaah al-Ashqar, “Belief in Allah”: “The Muslim should regard the Kuffaar as ENEMIES and HATE them because of their kufr (wrong belief), just as he hates their kufr (disbelief) itself.”
– from [Chap.iv] “The Islaamic Concept of al-Walaa’ wal-Baraa’” by Khalid El-Gharib: “… to SHOW ENMITY to those who show enmity to Allaah and His Messenger”.
(Note: Muslims are to visibly demonstrate their ENMITY or HATRED towards the kufaar)
– from a lecture given by Sheikh Abdullah al-Faisal (H.A.): “The implication of al-Baraa is that one HATES for the sake of Allah (SWT)…Al-Baraa means to recognize who your enemies are and to HATE them and EXTERMINATE them in their Endeavour to get rid of your Deen, al-Islam…Al-Baraa is to HATE the people who propagate Baatil (falsehood)—the Muslim should HATE them and (at least desire to) KILL them when the time comes.”
(Note: not ‘if the time comes’, but ‘WHEN the time comes.)
– “Killing a Kafir who is fighting you is OK. Killing a Kafir for any reason (i.e. criticism of Islam), you can say, it is OK – even if there is NO REASON for it. You can poison, ambush and kill non-believers. You must have a stand with your heart, with your tongue, with your money, with your hand, with your sword, with your Kalashnikov. Don’t ask shall I do this, just do it.”Abu Hamza al-Masri (Egyptian born British Cleric)
– “As a Muslim, I must have hatred for anything non-Islam” – Anjem Choudary.
– “The matter is clear on this issue. It is obligatory to disassociate and absolve oneself from the disbelievers and their religion. The issue of al-Walaa wal-Baraa is from among the greatest obligations in Islaam.” (Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan, 2005, p. 308)
– Obligation to Hate Kufaar: “With regard to matters of love and hate in the heart, the Muslims’ attitude towards non-Muslims is based on the latter’s attitude towards Allaah. If they worship Allaah and do not associate anything in worship with Him, then they love them. If they associate others in worship with Him, or disbelieve in Him, or worship others alongside Him, or are hostile towards His religion and hate the truth, then it is obligatory to hate them in our hearts.” – Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid

To be fair, this is an ambiguous tweet that appears to be trying to say that religions don’t condone terrorism. If the King of Saudi Arabia wants to disavow his country’s acceptance of the violent hadith and Koran, far be it from me to stop him…..

164 JIHAD commands in the Koran. 14 commands in the Koran to avoid all friendship with non-Muslims. 400 mentions of hate in the Koran. 300 mentions of fear in the Koran. Allah wants fighting and hatred to be directed against the kafirs by Muslims. Allah wants kafirs to fear Muslims.
There is much obvious ‘hate speech’ coming from the Muslims’ holy book.

Right? He is either a big liar or willfully obtuse about Islam’s doctrines to tweet out something that by anyone else would be rightly perceived as targeted at his own religion. Unless he’s doing it on purpose to proclaim his apostasy from Sunni Islam….the world should be so lucky.
Hilly says
C T: I agree with you; to be fair, the first time I read it through I thought it “appears to be trying to say that religions don’t condone terrorism.” But the statement *as written* could just as easily be taken as Robert took it to mean.
I think there are two things about the statement that create (intentional?) confusion, and very different meanings. One is from a lack of punctuation; specifically a comma after the word terrorism, and other is the use of the word “that” in the last part of the sentence/statement.
In reading the statement through the first time, my brain wanted to automatically put a pause after the word “that.” The word “that” seemed to me to refer to “hate speech and terrorism.” “That” is the thing — hate speech and terrorism — that is “not condoned by religions or the values of tolerance.”
With just the addition of the comma:
“it reaffirms the responsibility of the international community in combating hate speech and terrorism, that is not condoned by religions or the values of tolerance.”
Then there’s the *choice* of the word “that.” If the statement had used the word “which” instead of “that” in the last part of the sentence, the meaning would be clear. “Which are” would be better than “which is,” but that is changing the original statement too much.
With the comma, plus “which” instead of “that”:
“it reaffirms the responsibility of the international community in combating hate speech and terrorism, which is not condoned by religions or the values of tolerance.”
BUT, that lack of a comma, along with the word “that” instead of “which,” is a big deal. It means the sentence can be read *two ways.* If the English translation is intentional, and with all we know about Saudi Arabia and Islam, and the words of the Quran, it could easily have been written that way to mean two *different* things — depending on who is doing the reading!
Even if I assume that the statement was meant to be a rebuke of terrorism and hate speech, whether I believe the statement is actually SINCERE, is another thing altogether!

According to islam, there is no religion other than islam. Other people who aren’t moslim…and according to islam, all other people are moslims…don’t have a “religion.” Everyone is supposed to be a practicing moslim according to islam.
So, if islam condones hate speech directed at Jews and Christians, then this speech is to be allowed. If islam condones the intolerance of moslims toward the practice of Christianity or Judaism, then this is permissible.
But since when would he allow Christians and Jews to express “hatred” of islam or “intolerance” of the practices of islam? Never. Anyone expressing any dislike of islam is to be silenced. Anyone telling the Truth about islam, is to be silenced. Only moslims will have the freedom to express hatred or intolerance. So no harsh Truth about islam will be expressed.

Aussie Infidel says
King Salman’s statement is a classic example of the ‘dualism’ of Islam – and the convoluted logic and supremacist mindset of Muslims.
If a religion condones violence, then it must be OK. If violence against unbelievers is a revelation from Allah and written down in the holy Quran (Q 8:24, 8:39, 8:60, 9:5, 9:14-15, 9:29, 9:73, etc), it must be good and noble – even though there is no proof of the existence of any God, or any such revelation.
And if Jihad is decreed in sacred Islamic law to be, “a communal obligation for all Muslims… a war to establish the religion” (Reliance of the Traveler, o9.1), then it is a holy duty for Muslims, and should be condoned.
So if some Muslim psychopath is incited to commit murder “for the sake of Allah”, that’s OK. But if some infidel psychopath commits murder in retaliation for the violence perpetrated by Muslims, that’s not OK, and should be condemned in the strongest terms.
As for ‘hate speech’, Islam is predicated on the hatred of all non-Muslims (Quran 3:28, 5:10, 5:14, 33:57-62, 35:39, 40:10, 40:35, 60:4, etc; Reliance of the Traveler, Acceptance and Hatred, w59.2).
.
“Muslims are the best of creatures.” (Quran 98:7); but disbelievers are “the worst of creatures” (Quran 98:6).
As for tolerance, Islam is the most intolerant religion ever invented by man. “And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.” (Quran 3:85).
The message of Islam as summarized by Tabari: “Arabs [Muslims] are the most noble people in lineage, the most prominent, and the best in deeds. We were the first to respond to the call of the Prophet. We are Allah’s helpers and the viziers of His Messenger. We fight people until they believe in Allah. He who believes in Allah and His Messenger has protected his life and possessions from us. As for one who disbelieves, we will fight him forever in Allah’s Cause. Killing him is a small matter to us.” (Al-Tabari 9:69).

These MUslims are full of so much bullsh*t. Pretty close to 100% of terrorist attacks around the world surely are committed by Muslims, clearly inspired directly by the revolting hatred towards non-Muslims in their vile religious ideology, and now, after this attack in New Zealand against Muslims, this slimy creature wants to shut down any “hate speech” (by which, of course, he only means that he wants to shut down criticism of Islam). The level of hypocrisy, from this, no doubt, hate-filled Muslim, is off the charts. Like the other commenters here, I’m going to go on hating Islam (though not all individual Muslims) because of its clearly expressed hatred for us non-Muslims. How idiotic would it be to have any other attitude towards such a clear enemy and clear danger to my wellbeing.

This is of course an instruction to all the Western leaders bought and paid for by Saudi and its allies. Hundreds of millions of petrodollars flow from the Kingdom into the desperately poorly paid politicians of Europe and the USA.
Several past US presidents have been bought and paid for by Saudi Oman Qatar Kuwait Abu Dhabi, and even Morocco. The Belgium PM once told his envoy to the UN having voted in support of Saudis desire to head the womens rights section to “Make sure Saudi knows”, in other words so he can collect his pay off at a later date.
Every university in the Western world is sponsored by Saudi money which comes with the condition they promote the Wahabist values of the kingdom.
So if you want to know why your political elites act in a manner which appears inexplicable – ask yourself, “what does Saudi want” and you will in most cases understand exactly what the elites are up to.
