Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Trump: “After 52 years it is time for the US to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights”

Mar 21, 2019 3:34 pm By Robert Spencer

Trump is right. The Golan Heights is indeed “of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” Syrian soldiers used to stand on the heights and shoot down at Israeli farmers below. Only Israel is denied the right of conquest that has been universally recognized throughout human history: when a nation defeats an aggressor nation that started the conflict, the victorious nation is entitled to take some of the territory of the aggressor nation in order to enhance its security. President Trump deserves commendation for once again doing the right thing and rejecting the counsel of the vaunted Middle East “experts” who have gotten us into this mess.

“Trump says U.S. should recognize the Golan Heights as part of Israel as Netanyahu accuses Iran of trying to set up terror network there – and prepares for White House visit Monday,” by David Martosko, Dailymail.com, March 21, 2019 (thanks to Ken):

President Donald Trump signaled on Thursday that the U.S. will soon officially recognize the contested Golan Heights region as a part of Israel.

The move comes just four days before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit with Trump at the White House.

Israel will see such a development as rivaling the significance of last year’s opening of a U.S. embassy in Jerusalem — a unilateral White House action that now has city authorities planning to name a new subway station after the American president.

Trump said in an interview with the Fox Business Network, slated for broadcast on Friday morning, that he had ‘been thinking about doing it for a long time.’

His timing, however, coincides with a political crisis for Netanyhu, who almost certainly will face a corruption indictment following an announcement by his country’s attorney general. He is up for re-election on April 9.

Asked whether his announcement was linked to Netanyahu’s political future, Trump said, ‘No. I wouldn’t even know about that,’ and added: ‘I hear he’s doing okay.’

In a tweet, the president had declared: ‘After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!’…

You are totally misinformed! Israel supports and is in bed Islamic jihadists like ISIS, Saudi-Arabia and Al-Qaeda “White Helmets” and even evacuates hundreds of them when they are threatened with encirclement by the Syrian army! Israel shares the neocon project to destroy the independent Socialist/Baathist Arab states and replace them with jihadists and sectarian groups like they did in Iraq, Libya, Yemen and tried unsuccessfully in Syria.

        U$A+Saudi-Arabia+Nato+EU+Israel+UAE+Qatar+Turkey+Jordan+Al-Qaeda=ISIS!

        Syria+Hezbollah+Iran+Russia are THE REAL ANTI-ISIS, ANTI-ALQAEDA COALITION!

The administration has been considering recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan, which Israel captured from Syria in 1967. Last week, in its annual human rights report, the State Department dropped the phrase “Israeli-occupied” from the Golan Heights section, instead calling it “Israeli-controlled”.

“After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” Trump tweeted.

Minutes later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted his appreciation. “At a time when Iran seeks to use Syria as a platform to destroy Israel, President Trump boldly recognises Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Thank you President Trump!”

In addition to its policies toward the Palestinians, the US has taken a hard line towards Iran, much to Netanyahu’s delight.

Trump’s announcement came as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in Jerusalem, lauding warm ties with Israel and promising to step up pressure on Iran. Pompeo’s words gave a public boost to the Israeli leader at the height of a tight re-election campaign. Netanyahu is to be in Washington for two days next week – two weeks before Israel’s April 9 ballot.

Standing together in Jerusalem on Thursday, neither Netanyahu nor Pompeo mentioned the heated Israeli election campaign. But Netanyahu, facing a tough challenge from a popular former military chief and reeling from a series of corruption allegations, has repeatedly sought to focus attention on his foreign policy record and strong ties with Trump.

Pompeo has said his trip has nothing to do with politics.

Netanyahu thanked Pompeo for the Trump administration’s strong stance against Iran, which Israel regards as an existential threat.

Netanyahu has accused Iran of attempting to set up a terrorist network to target Israel from the Golan Heights, using the incident to repeat his goal of international recognition for Israel’s claim on the area.

“You could imagine what would have happened if Israel were not in the Golan,” he said. “You would have Iran on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.”

Pompeo paid a solemn visit Thursday to Jerusalem’s Western Wall along with Netanyahu in an apparent sign of support for Israel’s control of the contested city.

Pompeo is the highest-ranking American official to tour the holy site with any Israeli leader. His visit was likely to further infuriate the Palestinians, who have already severed ties with the US over its Jerusalem policies.

    …

  7. CRUSADER says

    Mar 21, 2019 at 10:22 pm

    …

    ‘Symbolic’ visit to wall

Pompeo and Netanyahu prayed at the wall, the holiest site where Jews can pray, before depositing written prayers in its crevices and then touring nearby tunnels and a synagogue. Neither made any public comment at the site.

The secretary said he thought it was important to visit the wall with the Israeli leader as a show of support for Israel.

“I think it’s symbolic that a senior American official go there with a prime minister of Israel,” he said before making the trip. “It’s a place that’s important to many faiths and I’m looking forward to it. I think it will be very special.”

Israel captured east Jerusalem and the Old City in the 1967 Six-Day War, and for decades, US officials refrained from visiting the Western Wall with Israeli leaders to avoid the appearance of recognising Israeli sovereignty over the city’s most sensitive holy sites. The Palestinians seek east Jerusalem as the capital of a future state.

But the Trump administration has upended the longstanding policy, moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem last year after recognising the city as Israel’s capital. Israel claims all of Jerusalem as its eternal and indivisible capital.

Senior US officials, including Trump and numerous predecessors, have visited the wall privately in the past, but never with an Israeli leader.

The Old City is home to Jerusalem’s most sensitive holy sites, including the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where tradition says Jesus was entombed and resurrected. Pompeo, a devout Christian, also stopped at the church.

Next to the Western Wall is a hilltop compound revered by Jews as the Temple Mount and by Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. The spot, which once housed the biblical Temples, is the holiest site in Judaism and today is home to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third-holiest site in Islam.

The competing claims to the site are a frequent source of tension and lie at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Every inch clawed back from the Dar al-Islam is worth celebrating, regardless of where it’s clawed back and who’s clawing it back. I disagree with Raymond Ibrahim that Christian territories have been permanently lost to Islam. There has been slow, but steady military and political reconquest (Iberia, Ceuta, Melilla and other tiny toeholds on the North African coast, the Mediterranean islands, most of Central Europe, most of the Balkans, the Tartar Yoke, “East Turkistan”, Singapore, Rakhine State, Champa, Yunnan, the East African coast, South Sudan, most of Lebanon, most of India, etc., and of course, Israel). The new phenomenon is the dissolution, *from the inside*, of Islam itself. What colonialism failed to achieve is now well within reach of the populations of the Dar al-Islam, regardless of what the leaders, the ulema or the mujahideen may say, do or want. For the first time in history, large sections of the Muslim populations in the Islamic lands are laying the foundations for their own liberation not through “Allahu Akbar”, but *from* “Allahu Akbar”. When even Saudi women take it upon themselves to escape the perfect religion, it is a given that the iceberg is very, very large indeed.

Let’s hope you and the many others who predict the collapse of Islam are correct. There actually seems some reason to hope for that. As David Wood has pointed out, ours is the first generation in world history to have more or less universal public access to the core Islamic texts and criticism of those texts. Criticism and the texts themselves can now be transmitted all over the globe. Since Islam is an expansionist totalitarian movement that crushes humanity and stifles human development (despite disinformation to the contrary in the media) Islam’s collapse may be inevitable with the spread for the first time of information about how Muhammad clothed his cruelty, brutality, deceit, and immorality in a “religion.”

eduardo, “ours is the first generation in world history to have more or less universal public access to the core Islamic texts and criticism of those texts.”
        —
Yes. This is one of the two key ingredients. On its own, knowing the core texts is not enough. The ulama, every imam, many pious Muslims, learned apologists, da’wa troops, Islamic propagandists, etc., all know the texts very well, are wedded to those texts and will brook no criticism of it.

The other, and in my opinion more critical ingredient is Muslims embracing their own humanity. It is not possible to adhere to Islam while accepting and expressing one’s own humanity because Islam is fundamentally antithetical to humanity — not just democracy, not just Western civilisation, but humanity. To be a good Muslim requires the shutting down of our capacity for ethical judgement (the texts tell the Muslim EVERYTHING that is right and wrong because “Allah knows best”) and shuts down empathy not only with our fellow humans, but with other living things as well (you feel for Muslims and all things Muslim; for everyone else, you’ll take your steer from the texts, and the texts tell you, “hate them”).

Those who live by these texts are complete freaks, even amongst Muslims. Most Muslims CANNOT live as the texts command for the simple reason that they are human. But not living as the texts command can make your life very difficult, even shorten it significantly. But Muslim societies have persisted for 1400 years. How is it possible to live with such a contradiction? Simple: everyone lies. An elaborate social construct of hypocrisy holds Muslim societies together. Everybody knows that everybody is lying and everybody pretends that everybody is truthful. In other words, as each Muslim allows his or herself a little bit of humanity, all other Muslims look the other way, they themselves needing the space to do the same thing.

Up till maybe a generation or two ago, the societal structure in the Islamic world has been one of strict obedience and hence strict hierarchy, a straight-jacket extremely hard to escape. Of course there have been dissidents throughout the history of Islam. Most of the great scientists, philosophers and inventors that Muslim apologists so keenly claim to their bosom as proof of Muslim past greatness were hounded, banished and killed as blasphemers and apostates, basically people who were too honest for their own good. But that social structure has been crumbling in a process kick-started by colonialism, accelerated by the oil boom and finally reaching self-propulsion with the Internet.

The social structure that a humanity-denying creed such as Islam depends on is not quite gone, but is vanishing fast. It is only a matter of how much damage those still adhering to the texts can inflict on the world with their jihad before the Dar al-Islam itself implodes. The reason the Muslim Brotherhood couldn’t control the Arab spring is because the kind of Muslim they took, and still take, for granted no longer holds sway in their societies and with each generation recedes in significance, while its place is taken by Muslims who have a sense of themselves increasingly distinct from the “umma”, increasingly given to not taking its views and values from the society around them, and increasingly disgusted with Islam.

The situation is fluid and may remain so for another generation, but the flow is most definitely away from Islam and towards humanity. For the first time in history, we have the real possibility that this curse will finally put itself out of its own misery.

Having spent some time on the Golan, many people don’t realize that it is basically a plateau. You can look down on Israel and the Sea of Galilee on one side … but you can also look down on what is modern day Syria on the other side. The difference between Israeli control and Syrian control is that Syria would attack Israeli civilians and their homes and farms, just because they were Israelis. Israel only attacks in defense.

This is a wise derision of President Trump to recognize the sovereignty of the State of Israel over the Golan Heights . For if Islam isn’t in control of the Golan Heights the stooge jihad terror entity, Hezbollah , would fill the power vacuum . If Hezbollah held power over that specific land be only a matter of time before that jihad terror group would use that lad as a base to launch murderous rocket attacks into Israel.

Furthermore, it should be made clear that all those Muslim terror organizations, Hezbollah,Hamas, P.I.J. etc. are all fated to fail in their Islamic agenda of destroying the State of Israel and replacing with Islamic “state.” The reason that they will lose in the end and lose hard is because the members of those jihad terror entities are striving against the Will of God. The members who compose those Islamic terror groups might be too ignorant to know this; nevertheless, the truth is the God had given all land that now composes the State of Israel, including all of the Golan Heights, to the Jewish people. This may be found in the Bible, as seen in, for example, Genesis 28:13-15. 35:10-12. Deuteronomy 32:48,49. Psalm 105:7-11. 135:4. In other words the Jews have tall this land by Divine Right.

Moreover,, the Jewish people should have this land by historic rights as shown in First Kings 4:20,21, 24,25. 8:55, 56. Still, in all fairness, there is one way for the Muslim members who make up Hezbollah, Hamas and the P.I.J. to convince God to change His Mind about being so much for Israel and then cause Him to turn His back on Israel and then have that nation be no more. That way is for the members of the jihad origination to gather together and then change the laws of astrophysics, including those laws of astrophysics the control the sun, the moon and the stars. For God had declared in His Word, the Bible, in Jeremiah 31:35,36. “Thus saith the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day and the ordinances of the moon and stars for a light by night…The Lord of host is His name. If those ordinances depart from before Me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever.”
