Back in January, Hungarian leader Viktor Orban called French leader Emmanuel Macron a “leader of the pro-migration forces” and stated “if what he wants with regards to migration materializes in Europe, that would be bad for Hungary, therefore I must fight him.”
Orban is known as “one of the most vociferous opponents” of Muslim immigration, and he has openly sought to protect his country’s Christian culture and democracy from Islamization, taking the path opposite to that of Emmanuel Macron. The tragic burning of the Notre Dame cathedral has been seen by many to be symbolic of the slow burning, destruction, and doom of French culture, and along with it, its democratic rule of law. Macron made things worse by his grossly insensitive suggestion to restore the Gothic Cathedral not to its former glory, but to reflect “diversity.”
Now, out of the blue, Macron “has vowed an ‘intractable’ fight against ‘political Islam,’ which he said seeks secession from the French Republic.” Something very strange is going on with Macron in his sudden U-turn from full multicultural appeasement to condemning “political Islam” and seeking to protect the “French Republic.” One must remember that Sharia is divine law in normative Islam, and to try to divorce politics from Islam renders one an apostate. Macron has therefore in effect rebuked and condemned normative Islam. This sudden flip-flop by Macron is likely due to upcoming elections in May; polls show that he is neck-and-neck with anti-globalist Marine LePen, who has risen in popularity due to her stance on Muslim migration. The revolt of the yellow vests is another headache for Macron. If France’s culture is to be saved from Islamization, the French public will do well to vote out Macron despite his posturing about “political Islam,” a threat he has chosen to ignore all along, right up until election time.
“‘Political Islam’ wants to ‘secede’ from France – Macron,” RT News, April 25, 2019:
French President Emmanuel Macron vowed an ‘intractable’ fight against ‘political Islam,’ which he said seeks secession from the French Republic. His comments left many puzzled about his goals.
After delivering a speech addressing numerous social issues tied to France’s burgeoning protest movement, the Yellow Vests, Macron’s press conference took an odd turn when he laid into the French Muslim population.
“We are talking about people who, in the name of a religion, pursue a political project,” he said. “A political Islam that wants to secede from our Republic,” against which he asked the government to be “intractable.”
Macron also gave a ringing defense of French secularism, and called out “communitarianism.”
“We must not hide ourselves when we talk about secularism, we do not really talk about secularism, we talk about the communitarianism that has settled in certain districts of the Republic,” Macron said, referring to Muslim communities.
French citizens gave mixed reactions on social media to the president’s remarks, some posing their own questions in response.
Some suggested Macron sought to draw support from the right, capturing some of the constituency of National Rally (previously National Front) party leader Marine Le Pen…..

The term “political Islam” is rather absurd and outright ignorant . this is because all Islam is political.
For the term used by many in the West in current times is “political Islam” That term is, in reality redundant. This is because Islam is in essence, a religious /political Sharia law based system. As so well explained in brief way, by the Muslim tyrant who and ruled Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini when he stated that “All Islam is politics.” [1]

To Mortimer, this is a very appropriate time to reiterate a very important message
As the word “Islamism” is a fake word that used that was made up after September 11, 2001 in order offend or upset non-violent Muslims. The real, actual, word is just “Islam.” Likewise, the world “Islamist” is also a bogus word that was made up after 9/11 in order not to offend or upset peaceful Muslims. To keep with reality, terms should better be used as “Islamic terrorist” or “Muslim terrorist” . Let’s call people and thing as the really are.
Reziac says
While this is true, the term “political Islam” resonates with a public ignorant of Islam’s true intent. It’s a way into the minds of people who otherwise would only see “religious bigotry” when we object to Islam’s incursions. If we can get them to understand that Islam is largely political, then they can understand that its goal is conquest. Most Westerners will never understand this so long as they think of Islam solely as religion, not even when it cuts off their heads.

It’s exactly the same as Theresa May making public pronouncements about reducing immigration to the tens of thousands – (still far too high) – while actually allowing in hundreds of thousands. Say one thing and do another – the largely left-wing press will never hold them to account for their lies.

I believe it’s Dr. Bill Warner that uses the term political Islam. You can watch his video explaining his thoughts on this at his website http://www.politicalislam.com
I have a lot of respect for Dr. Warner as he is one of those courageous people putting himself in the Islamic Jihad crosshairs for his speaking out against Islam so vigorously.
But I do disagree that it’s political Islam , I believe it’s it’s ALL of Islam because it’s interrelated. The religious and political aspects…..
The religious belief of doing something, some good deed that will make a Moslem deserving of going to Paradise ( and the best deed of all according to Mohammed, is Jihad! ) is connected to the violence of moslems against specifically Christians, Jews and all unbelievers.
It’s the belief in the teachings of islam that Islam is the best religion and moslems are the best of people….while non moslems are filth and Jews and Christians are despised apes and pigs.
And it’s the belief in the infallibility, incorruptibility, and un changing aspect of the Koran with its commands given to humans by a deity that cause Islam’s conflict with the non Moslem world.
It’s the Koran’s command for moslems to constantly be at war with all non moslems , to continue this war against non moslems until every country has been taken over by Islam and every person converted to Islam ( by force if necessary) that cause Islam to be incompatible with the rest of the world.
I could go on and on with examples….but it’s moslems belief in the tenants of Islam in all its aspects, the commands of Allah in the Koran, Hadith and following the example of Mohammed that Bri g Islam into conflict with the rest of the world.
We of the non Moslem world have no way of differentiating between a Moslem who is claiming to be Muslim as a sense of identity, a relatively secular Moslem, and a devout “practicing Moslem who takes every word, every aspect of Islam deadly serious and who intends to follow Islam’s every command especially Jihad.
And we can’t determine when a secular so called moderate Moslem transforms into the devout practice ing Moslem.
And there is the Stealth Jihad that is occurring in the western world, specifically America right now. This slow gradual Islamification of America that is facilitated by moslems wjo have been elected to all levels of our governments. And these Moslem then are in a position to support other moslems and Islam by using our laws, freedoms and rights and democracy to further the spread of Islamic influence in our country. The result is that our traditions , culture and laws gradually become ore and more Islamic, more sharia compliant. Islam and moslems gradually become not just one of many religions , peoples and cultures but first dominant and then superior to all others.
It doesn’t matter that we see Islam as false, evil, satanic corrupted, changed, full of untruths, things that can be disproved, and just plain nonsense …or whatever……..what matters is that Moslem believe in Islam.
It all comes down moslems believing in what their ideology commands enough to be willing to do virtually anything ( die, lie, cheat etc) to see that those commands are obeyed………and what Islam commands is incompatible with Western thought, culture and law.
Islam simply can not exist in the West ……not of we wish to retain everything that makes the West free……we will gradually lose our freedoms and rights ………and be forced to become Islamic.

Muslims may well be “pushing” it (whatever that may mean) on the hopes that any divisions in Europe make it weaker, but I don’t think they would find an easy target in an independent Catalunya. After living here for 15 years, I can attest to the fierce identity of the Catalans, and if they are finally able to achieve their centuries-old desire to escape the Spanish oppression (which is real – I don’t dare utter a word of Catalan in the rest of Spain), they are not likely to let it slip right out of their fingers into the clutches of Islamic expansionists. One of their biggest national heroes is James I of Aragon, who drove the Muslims out of Majorca and played an important role in other parts of the Reconquest, and the pride of the maritime museum collection here is a full-sized reproduction of the flagship of the Catholic fleet from the Battle of Lepanto, the original having been built in the very same building 450 years ago. This ship went into hand-to-hand combat with the Muslim Admiral’s flagship after ramming it, and after his head was finally cut off, it was displayed upon a pike, which greatly undermined the morale of the remaining Muslim forces, turning the battle in the Catholic’s favor. Recently it has been Catalan independence parties which have been blowing the whistle on the cozy relationship between the Spanish and Saudi Royals, calling for an end to Spanish arm sales to the Saudis. If anything, a free Catalunya would be a stronger island of resistance than many other larger European politically correct kafir states.

Macaroni has criticized Poland for its stronger measures….
Yet in the USA, in the elite Northeast, we have academia ignoring the credentials of a former Polish statesman who was asked to speak on campus…. In addition to what Middlebury did at the Charles Murray debacle, academia isn’t holding up in USA.
Without weathering conservative viewpoints the heterodoxy at colleges and universities isn’t taking hold, and so future leaders of America are being truncated while their minds are molded by Leftist excrement left to rot any real development. We are seeing the young minds of Americans turn into mildew.
Social media hasn’t helped either, as we turn quickly on each other and do not allow for views to be more fully expressed.
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/alexander-kahn-fear-and-cowardice-at-middlebury-college
Two years ago, I invited AEI scholar Dr. Charles Murray to speak at Middlebury College in Vermont. As is now well-known, the moderator of the event was injured after a riot broke out when she and Murray left the lecture hall.
While I was shocked by what had happened, I was proud of what I had done in inviting Dr. Murray and how the administration had acted to ensure that he could speak.
This past week, the pride I once had in my college dissolved entirely after the administration refused to secure a lecture by another controversial speaker.
Last Wednesday, Ryszard Legutko, a Polish philosopher and member of the European Parliament, was scheduled to speak at the invitation of Middlebury’s Alexander Hamilton Forum. Legutko, a well-known scholar of classical political philosophy who formerly served as both Minister of Education and Secretary of State in Poland, had planned to lecture on the subject of totalitarianism.
The day he was to speak, students and alumni were informed that the administration had canceled his talk. There is only one word for this act of fear and cowardice: shameful.
The Legutko cancelation represents the culmination of an anti-free speech agenda which was implemented in the wake of the Murray incident. In an attempt to recover the reputation of the school after the Murray event riot, the administration instituted a new speaker policy which included a provision that the administration would consider canceling an event if it posed a “credible threat to the community.”
Not long after writing an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal expressing her commitment to embracing “freedom of expression and inquiry as an educational value for everyone,” President Laurie Patton turned around and instituted what was essentially a heckler’s veto. The only thing the administration seemed concerned with was sweeping the incident under the rug. While the policy has since been slightly altered, it was a sign of things to come.
After implementing the interim policy, the administration did nothing to encourage heterodox thinkers to come to campus or to punish, in any meaningful way, the students and faculty who organized the protest-turned-riot.
Their only discernible response was to hire a number of “diversity officers” who do little besides affirming students’ sense of victimhood. When other braver students tried to start on-campus organizations dedicated to diversity of thought, the administration did everything in its power to block their efforts.
These actions have only served to embolden those who want to shut down speakers and maintain the status quo. These decisions reached their climax in the lead up to the lecture.
What has occurred this past week at Middlebury College is far worse than anything that happened during the Murray incident. Then, less than 24 hours before the lecture was scheduled to begin, the administration announced it would be moved to a remote location.
The first people they told of this location change were not the event organizers or the broader community, but the would-be protestors. Hours later, ostensibly out of fear for students’ safety, they canceled the event.
The administration could have tried to address the concerns surrounding the event earlier. Instead, they chose to do nothing to ensure the lecture could take place. This time, when those committed to open inquiry and robust discourse attempted to bring someone from outside of the mainstream of campus thought, the Middlebury mob went to work and the administration instantly caved.
What has occurred this past week at Middlebury College is far worse than anything that happened during the Murray incident.
Except for those professors who are still committed to providing their students with a true liberal arts education, it seems that Middlebury has given up on its values. It no longer is willing to fight for what it claims to believe.
The only explanation for these actions is that the administration is solely focused on donations, and they are afraid of anything that might threaten them. Their fear is not of protestors or potential riots; it is of their own stated principles. They fear freedom of speech with all it entails. They fear open inquiry and the questions it forces people to explore. Most of all, they fear liberal arts education and everything that is required to engage in it.
At colleges and universities across the country, it needs to be stated loudly that the university is not a place of “intellectual safety.” Administrators and professors must inform their students that there is no question or issue that is not up for debate or discussion, and that there is no “violence” in these processes which are necessary to knowledge.
While discussion is difficult, it is necessary for growth. Only through honest, academic, peaceful, yet rigorous debate can we hope to create a generation of people who can rightly be called citizens. Freedom of thought, speech, and full, unfettered expression are necessary if we are to be worthy of our liberty.
We, too, must begin to look into the fundamental causes of our inability to engage with opposing ideas. It is our responsibility to understand the source of our animosity towards those we do not agree with, and more importantly, our animosity towards those whom we have never read or listened to.
For those committed to living in a society based in liberty and freedom of expression, to studying on campuses where true inquiry and learning take place, to engaging in a political life that encourages robust and open debate and the clash of ideas, we have a duty to begin the hard work of reestablishing the values of free speech and discourse that we hold so dear.
We must embrace the free and open competition of ideas; we must engage with our fellow citizens; and we must, above all else, challenge our students in their beliefs, and force them to contend with contrary opinions.
Although there were no riots, no mobs, and no protests this past week at Middlebury, something far more deadly occurred. Ryszard Legutko was not shut down, he was not even given the opportunity to speak.
— Alexander Khan graduated from Middlebury College in 2017.

I also believe that if a Muslim started the fire we will never be told.

Notre Dame fire 2019-04-15 –
Person moving and flash on the roof?
“The clip is marked 15/04 17:05 on the webcam-site and the flash is at 23 sek with some movement a couple of seconds before. Meaning this (might be se correction above) is several minutes in real time.”
Definitely a person moving, and looks to me like he’s signaling associates observing via the webcam (being that’s available to anyone with an internet connection).

Learn from them- total inflexibility. You don’t cede one zenith of a millimetre of your institutions.
These should have been red lines from the beginning.
And you don’t put minarets on Christian cathedrals or churches!
If you think that is being inclusive, think again- they laugh at you, it’s conquest.

TL;DR: Let’s make France part of Islam!
UNCLE VLADDI says
Iman-el Micron just officially announced he wants to rebuild the Cathedral as Notre-DOME – complete with islamic onion domes and minarets, to ‘reflect Diversity!’ If that doesn’t finish him off, nothing ever will.
Warmac9999 says
Macron likely suspects or knows that the destruction of Notre Dame cathedral was not an accident. He has decided to play both sides of the situation. If the investigation finds arson with a jihadist flavor, he can claims to be in favor of a crackdown by being ahead of the game. If it is a no cause found, then accident will continue to be the explanation. Political expediency to save his very sorry administration without rejecting the E.U. – point the finger at the other is time honored politics.
Beneath the Veil of Consciousness says
Unfortunately, somehistory, time is quickly running out for France. They can little afford a gullible “learn as you go” greenhorn at the helm.
As the illustrious former leader of the free world, President G.W. “Pinhead” Bush, put it,
“…fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.”

Islam is Islam! There is NO Moderate Islam, NO Islam lite, & NO Political Islam! Islam is Islam. Is subjugates, enslaves & dictates that outsiders must be dealt with. They are simply to be preyed upon. It is simply a Bandit Death Cult. You can kill, rape sodomise,, rob any non-Muslim. Even do that to Muslims, who are deemed not ‘Muslim’ enough, (called TAKFIRI). Macron & the rest of Politicians – Merkel, May & Co. are in denial. They are clueless & have no desire whatsoever to deal with the problems they’ve deliberately inflicted on their own people & country. The Judiciary should have them all arrested & dealt with.

At one point during this speech Macron mentioned a law dating from 1905 that separates religion and state. He added :”lately we have reinforced the implementation of this law closing some schools where this law is not respected”
I am surprised…

Macron is beginning to realize that in democracies many people choose the ”pretty boy” option without caring about his policies, until he tries to apply them. Trudeau, Macron, mistakes to be noted in tomorrow’s history books.

Too little too late and for the wrong reason is better than nothing. The ruling class in Europe, the people who get a huge paycheck for fixing things that aren’t broken and have never lost a night’s sleep over their abandonment of Christians, are now stressing over that fact that their “subjects” are becoming aware of both the dangers and irrelevance of the EU. What they cannot process is the idea of working productively and honestly.
It’s impossible to measure the indirect effect that the EU sent to the poorest parts of the Muslim world with it’s messages of welcome and it’s reflexive defense of everything Muslim. But we do know about the rapes committed by “refugees” and the slap on the wrist punishments meted out for horrendous crimes. This message got around, since everybody has a cell phone, and Europe is now being colonized.

Words are cheap and Macron will say anything to get re- elected. Given the yellow vest protests that have been going on for almost 6 months against Macron’s policies, and the rise of anti mass migration sentiment in France, Macron is crying into the wind and very few will hear what he has to say, knowing his lack of credibility with the French people.
His greatest foe is the rise of populist nationalism. This is not being initiated by the political leaders, it is a groundswell which originated and emanates from the people. That there are politicians who are seen as right wing is merely a reflection of that groundswell.
Macron, like Merkel is done as a political force and will be swept aside to make room for revitalized nationalism in France.
Political Islam is but one of the issues that has given rise to nationalistic sentiment.
