“‘Heir of Mohamed Merah’: French Cops Arrest Terror Suspect Inspired by Islamist Behind Jewish School Massacre in Toulouse,” by Ben Cohen, Algemeiner, April 3, 2019 (thanks to David):
French media outlets revealed on Wednesday that a man who described himself as the “heir of Mohamed Merah” — the Islamist terrorist who murdered three young children and a rabbi at a Jewish school in Toulouse in March 2012 — was arrested by security agents last week on suspicion of plotting his own terrorist attack against a school.
Broadcaster BFM TV reported that the man was seized in the Seine-et-Marne region near Paris on March 25 while attempting to obtain weapons. According to police, the man had been planning an attack on children at a nursery school, apparently following the example set by his hero, Merah. A second man was also arrested on charges of complicity.
During his interrogation by police officers, the main suspect, a 21-year-old, told police that he saw himself as Merah’s “heir.” He admitted that he had picked out a school as his target, and that his plan had been to kill some children and take others hostage, with the goal of dragging police into a gun battle. The man was subsequently charged on March 29 and remains in custody…
Mohamed Merah himself was an Algerian-born French citizen who had trained with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Between March 11-15, 2012, Merah embarked on a shooting rampage in the cities of Montauban and Toulouse, murdering three French soldiers and seriously wounding another. On March 19, he launched a gun attack on the Ozar Hatorah Jewish school in Toulouse, murdering Rabbi Jonathan Sandler, who taught at the school, together with his two sons, six-year-old Aryeh and three-year-old Gabriel. Merah then grabbed another child, eight-year-old Miriam Monsonego, and shot her through the head before escaping. Following a 30 hour siege at his apartment building in which six agents were wounded, Merah was shot dead by a police tactical unit on March 22, 2o12.

When such a terrorist attack is foiled, as so many of them are, the public should not just utter a sigh of relief .It must imagine – must feel — that the attack had succeeded. If a Muslim terrorist killed children at a nursery school, what would the rage be like, what would be the pressures to halt Muslim immigration, to return Muslims to their home countries, to shut down offending mosques and expel offending imams? Every time you read about the foiling of yet another Muslim terrorist attack, think only of what would have happened, and of how you would have reacted, if it had gone off according to pan. Keep thinking that thought.

H.F., because of what I see as the spineless snowflakes rampant in these “cultured” societies, the rage would be against the weapons used instead of the people who misused the weapons. “Turn in your guns because a terrorist used his to kill children!” How about turning that around to “Turn in your cars and trucks because a drunk driver used his to kill about 20,000 people a year in the US.” Most people will blame the object instead of the monster who uses it for monstrous purposes. I think this could be another demonstration of Viktor Frankl’s “delusion of reprieve” (Man’s Search for Meaning) where people refuse to face the truth because it is so painful.

That Muslim terrorist, in France, who was actually scheming a jihad mass murder attack in a nursery school is yet further proof of the unspeakable murderous evils that many of the followers of Islam are capable of.
To those who even deny that Islam is a religion are in error. Those who claim the Islam is a “peaceful religion that has been “hijacked by criminals for politics” are also in error. Since when are criminals so interested in “politics” ? Both of the groups of people who make such claims are also totally unrealistic
Islam is indeed,a religion , a violence and murderous plague of of religion, but a religion nevertheless.
Those Muslim migrants who were allowed to enter France along with the other countries of Western Europe with result in them not only being ungrateful but even worse yet many of those Muslim migrants becoming so very arrogant to the point that they became criminals . As in some of them engaged in rioting and even rapes of the European girls and women. In addition to this vile brutal behavior by the heinous Muslim who were kindly permitted to enter the nations of Europe to live, As the countries of ,for example France, Germany Sweden, Denmark etc. This unthankful Islamic spirit on the part of those lawless violent Muslims who immigrated to the countries of Europe may be explain, in part, by the fact that the Muslim fundamentalist group that even had the president of Egypt assassinated in the month of October of the year 1981 has a fifty –five booklet that is was written only for Muslims fundamentalists but was later discover by non-Muslims. This booklet’s title is THE NEGLECTED DUTY. One scholar, Johannes Jansen who had thoroughly investigated Islam and Islamic terrorism has even discover that those Muslims, who had entered Europe of behaved in violent and heinous ways, are actually action out what they view and a sacred individual duty of the jihad as by engaging in awful violent criminal action in non-Muslim lands . As Jansen revealed that jihad booklet of Islam, THE NEGLECTED DUTY “contains all the ideological material needed to justify the attacks of 9/11 or any other acts of terror committed to frighten non-Muslims. And he thinks the document explains the criminal behavior of suburban and center –city immigrant youngsters in many European cities; its author clearly ‘sees Islam as license to kill rob and commit arson.’ “ [1]
Nevertheless, many of the apologists for Islam still have that blatant gall , in spite of all the facts of reality, to actually make the claim the Islam is a “peaceful religion.” What a totally false to make that Islam is “a peaceful religion “What Bull! A “peaceful religion” indeed.

This Muslim/ jihadist who with murderous Islamic intentions actually schemed a jihad massacre ,in a nursery school ,of all places, is a very heinous and harsh reminder of those violent and deadly Muslim migrants who have entered the different nations of Europe and commit crimes of the most vile ,brutal and heinous sort countries. Muslim/jihadist shooting murders the city of Paris on July 14, just less than three years ago. is wicked enough Still such jihad affront also reveals the jihad minded Islamic contempt .dishonor and reproach towards the people of France as well as Muslim malice toward the people of all other Western nations who were kind yet foolish enough to allow them, those Muslim migrants to enter, invade, their home countries of Europe in the first place. This type of situation is reflected in the Bible .Which reads “When the wicked comes, contempt comes also; with dishonor comes reproach.” Proverbs 18:3. [N.K.J.V.]
Furthermore, those jihadist Muslims with their Islamic way of thinking by their well thought Islamic schemes for the action of involvement in their violent and sheath jihad for the advancement of Islam in the many different Western nations. Those sly scheming jihadists are, somewhat, of a reminder of the information reveled in the Bible in Proverbs 15:26. In which the reader is informed that even “The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord…”

In the Qur’an, Allah has declared that any Muslim who dies in service to Islam/Allah gains entrance into paradise. So this wannabe terrorist believes that Merah is currently enjoying his 72 virgins in paradise… given that reward and Islam’s utter disregard for life, it’s not surprising that this guy wants to emulate Murah and also get his 72 virgins.
But in the Qur’an, Allah has also declared that an “unclean” Muslim can never enter paradise. And that any contact with any part of a pig renders a Muslim instantly unclean. It takes a special cleansing ritual to cleanse a faithful but unclean Muslim.
Therein lies the key to combating jihadist recruitment. A gun that had been regularly cleaned with “Silver Bullet Gun Oil” bars a Muslim slain with it because it contains 13% liquefied pig fat for the express purpose of denying Muslims “a place in paradise.”
And, it doesn’t matter whether any contact with any part of a pig actually denies entrance into paradise. What matters is that is what they BELIEVE.
Should young potential jihadists start to realize that violent jihad now risks eternal damnation, the “risk/reward” ratio changes and recruitment will plummet.
Had that happened with the monster Murah in 2012, this guy would not have seen himself as Murah’s heir because by his own beliefs, Murah would be eternally banned from paradise.
You gain leverage over an enemy by attaching to their aggression, what for them is intolerable consequence.

moslims target children. Kindergartens, day care, nursery school, hospitals, school buses.
moslims do not love their children…that is why they find it so easy to kill and rape their own children…they have no love or natural affection. Since they don’t love their own, they have so sympathy for the children of others, while knowing that when they hurt and kill children, the parents and the public are stunned and horrified and heart at heart.
Hurting the parents and society through the children is the reason for killing the children.
But if an army, such as the Israeli army, injuries children because hamas or the PA launch rockets from underneath nurseries and schools, the moslim terrorists can’t wait to make headlines with how cruel and evil are the Jews.
Babies and children are just tools for committing terror in the minds of moslims.
Thankfully, these two were stopped before the horrible attack took young lives.

A real warrior and tough guy he is. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, the men of France (and most of Europe, and probably NZ, Canada, and Australia to) that would have done something about this, lie in places like Flanders field and Verdun. Where are the mass protests and demands that the so called leaders of these countries resign? Where are the demands for a repeal of the laws and policies that not only allow, but demand the entry of these fake migrants into our homelands?
Instead, we get more fluff and drivel demanding that we not only accept this kind of reward for our kindness, but that we help celebrate these cultures. We are told that we are bigots and worse, not the ones perpetrating these crimes against those unable to defend themselves: the elderly, children, pregnant women. Real tough guys these jihadis!
If someone dares to speak out about this, guess who gets arrested, or fined, or sent to prison, or all of the above? Jobs are lost and careers ruined for rightly assigning blame and causation for these crimes to the perpetrators.
I wonder if we will hear condemnation for these plans and for atrocities like the ones done at Beslan, Toulouse, Nice, and the so called west bank, from the scholars at Al Azhar or other such places of “enlightenment”?

Hi Frank,
Very true, but the Christian church was increasingly powerful in the Roman empire, and Constantin has converted to Christianity probably for political reasons, even if his conversion was sincere. Clovis 1 did certainly the same thing. To the Best of my knowledge the Frankish kingdom was mostly populated by Christian Gallo-Romans. They were present and efficient in all sectors of the society.
The religions are man-made, they are like Highway Code rule, and if it is twisted the road traffic become dangerous and the drivers run the risk of an accident as shown by Islam.

Kevin, correct me please if I am in error: I understand Constantine did not convert to Christianity, which he imposed on the Roman Empire, until shortly before his death. His inspiration was to take over and use the religion as his tool for control. A book that might be interesting on the subject is Constantine’s Sword. When individuals are forced to stop thinking and follow leaders, I think the wrecks that happen are not accidents, but either deliberate or caused by indifference to consequences.
This is where the foundation of Reform (no “ed” because theoretically the process of examination is never complete) Judaism is sound. But so many “liberals” are present that the practice and the teaching are so far apart, They see any who think differently as “right-wing Nazi’s” and follow the totalitarian plan of “my way or the highway.” Free people move on from oppression.
Certainly whether God exists, which I believe for myself, humans create the organizations. When those political organizations seek to dominate the individuals’ duty and right to think and explore, they are just as oppressive as any other totalitarian government. I treasure a message of wisdom I received one Friday night at services about the 2 lessons from The Exodus. 1) No matter how well things start; they change. 2) God does not want any of us (His Children, ALL who call upon Him as Father) to live under any form of tyranny, oppression or slavery. So as we seek Liberty, we are indeed following the Father’s wishes. Nobody ever said 40 years of walking in the wilderness would be easy!

@Frank Anderson,
“I understand Constantine did not convert to Christianity, which he imposed on the Roman Empire, until shortly before his death”
Constantine imposed Christianity on the Roman empire therefore he was converted to Christianity, even though he waited until the last moment to be baptized, perhaps to wash away his sins (?), but the parishes were a formidable source of information and they were used as a means of population control.
“But so many “liberals” are present that the practice and the teaching are so far apart”
I do not mind that, people can do what they want regarding religious beliefs if they are not dangerous and radical as extremist Muslims are.
“God does not want any of us (His Children, ALL who call upon Him as Father) to live under any form of tyranny, oppression or slavery”,
I cannot speak for my fellow citizens but our cultures are different, and we do not see or do things in same way. We lived under the rule of an absolute monarchy for centuries and the Catholic Roman church was omnipotent, blasphemy was punishable by law, so we do not care about the will of God, we believe we must acquire by ourselves justice and Liberty.
Your convictions are respectable, I honor them.

Kevin, I tried to be part of a thinking Jewish community for more than 20 years, a peaceful, harmonious, contributing and loyal member and participant. But then the “liberals” in the current sense of what others call “left wing” “progressive” or even “Communist” made it clear that my “right wing” understanding of islam and its clear message to for and about Jews was not welcome. Those who “aid, abet counsel and act in furtherance” of islam, by demanding compliance with their self- and societally-destructive collaboration are placing their own community in harm’s way, Just as half of Germany’s Jews who refused to face Hitler’s plan, pronouncements and actions from his very first public speech ca. 1920 to his last actions in 1945.
The statement concerning the desire of freedom for all is a nearly direct quote, as accurately as I can remember from a sermon on the subject at the local Reform Jewish Temple. I understand the statement to be a standard, accepted Jewish message from the Book of Exodus about The Exodus. According to the teaching, anyone, any leader, any country, any community that violates our individual liberty also violates a basic Will of God. From there, the teaching “Pray as though everything depends on God; Act as though everything depends on us,” comes into play, meaning that it is up to us to deal with the next analog of tyrannical Egypt.
We share a goal of genuine, real, liberty that allows all people to live, work and prosper together in peace.

My philosophy is that a part of the Talmud, the Quran, the Bible should be revised.

I give myself the right to do my own thinking and “honni soit qui mal y pense” [Shame be to him who thinks evil of it], and I believe in the law of cause and effect (Karma).

Kevin, my love for what I learned in the Jewish community keeps me from being angry as I walk away. I would do anything that is good and nothing that is bad; but I will not allow anyone to treat me with the kind of utter disrespect as I was when finally understanding that it was no longer a place for me.
In the Reform services, the Talmud is rarely mentioned. In the 23 years I spent in various gatherings, it was never studied. I understand there is much more time spent on Talmudic study in Orthodox and perhaps Conservative congregations. As I understand, the document, comprised of a number of books, is a collection of writings of discussions and thoughts applying the lessons of the Tanakh, what Christians call the Old Testament. The health of Reform teaching is to give some mercy and slack to the people who wrote what they did and seek value without turning the documents into the “perfect word of God”.
There are some pretty gruesome things and actions in the oldest parts of the Bible, which were at least mimicked in the koran. But Jews, most of them, claim to have learned better and differently in 3700 years. You and I as free people can take all the writings as sources of inspiration (some as examples to follow and others as examples to reject) and accept the truth that wherever wisdom is in human hands there is also some measure of error or deception or both involved, and move on with our progress. Possibly by setting good examples some others may see a reason to do likewise. Still trying to light some more candles. Peace and friendship.

Kevin, we agree that we have the ability to learn without surrendering our lives to the control of others. Finding our own peace is far more important than identifying with any community. I may have mentioned a remarkable television series that Patrick McGoohan made between finishing his Secret Agent series and coming to the US to be in a movie, The Prisoner. In 17 episodes he illustrates the Abe Maslow theory of the process of individuation. The series has inspired me since it first aired in 1967.
