Iran: Imam of Tehran’s Friday prayers wears IRGC uniform, says its missiles can level Israel to the ground

Apr 14, 2019 9:00 am By Robert Spencer

“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may strike terror in the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know, whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Qur’an 8:60)

“Movahedi-Kermani also threatened Israel, saying that the IRGC missiles are capable to level Israel to the ground. (Supplied),” Al Arabiya, April 12, 2019:

The Imam of Tehran Friday prayers, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi-Kermani condemned on Friday the United States’ move of labelling the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization.

During his Friday prayer the cleric wore the military uniform of the IRGC in support of the Iranian force, condemning the US decision saying: “All the Iranian people are members in the Revolutionary Guards,” the Iranian news agency ISNA reported.

Movahedi-Kermani also threatened Israel, saying that the IRGC missiles are capable to level Israel to the ground, adding that if Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei decides on that, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ missiles could destroy Israel.

Tehran’s Imam and the former secretary-general of Combatant Clergy Association who is also a member of the Assembly of Experts said US President Donald Trump “took an aggressive and stupid stance” by designating the IRGC a terrorist group.

He said the situation in the Middle East will be more complexed [sic] and it will pose a threat to American troops in the region…

Indeed, the IRGC is a terrorist organization whose chief purpose is to terrorize the Persian people and deprive them of their democratic rights to oppose and reject the vicious, corrupt mullahocracy.

Iranian revolution is made in America to steal Iranian oil!
Ouch! This time it didn’t work the way the CIA expected it! More of this below:

This idea democracy would permit a Muslim country to suddenly work in the USA’s national interests is insane — did we learn nothing from the Arab Spring and Egypt and Libya, or the Palestinians? I suspect the Mullahs would actually be safer to work with.
Our war should be against Islam but where we install peacock kings or the most venal dictators when we can.

From what I haves seen of the Arab Springs; the peacock kings and venal dictators look really good.
I actually was sorry to to see Saddam Hussein and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi leave the scene.
During the Obama years, I actually though that as bad as Bashar Assad would be 100 times better than the creatures who would supersede him.
Both Bush and Clinton dynasties were just stupid and evil on many levels.

America doesn’t care about democracy or human rights!
Neither do most other people and nations, obviously.
I have not seen too many nations and people embrace libertarianism, and even in the USA, we now have the Bolshevik and Muslim tide of the Democrats and CAIR minions.
Big mistake is that people think that the Mideast is just like the Midwest and Muslims are just like Methodists. You just ain’t gonna have democracy and human rights in a place where Sharia Law and the Communist manifesto is worshipped and adored.
Gee Toto, I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore!

I think graven image is correct about you. That statement is stupid.
First off, the USA in its various governments of the Federal Republic since the Constitution, has done very much for human rights; and, sadly is now, owing to its successes there, is becoming more a ‘democracy’ run by mob whims. I do agree corruption is a serious problem today — but what is this ‘Liberal imperialist nonsense you blather , Christian Blood?

Yes, we *have* done a lot for democracy and human rights around the world.

christianblood has done this before–blamed the United States for the revolution in Iran because we did not invade them after the Mullahs took over.

Of course, if we *had* invaded, he would be condemning us for that.

And Russia did not invade Iran, either–so i guess it’s their fault, just as much.

I think one should also be more concerned about the danger of the Trotskyite neocons that are currently running America and its Nato puppets! Their danger could even more immediate than the ‘Twelfth Imam’ as they can lead the world into a nuclear holocaust

Realistically, Iran has become a nation where the end goal and reward for the ruling class is absolute power, and most dumb dictators of the world know a major bad war would end their nation and themselves. They love their power and privilege too much. I think Iran realistically knows that Israel has 200 nukes to retaliate with. This will not stop them from saber rattling though. Remember, you have to create both an external and internal fictional enemy.
World runs closer to Animal Farm 1984, and Atlas Shrugged than most people know.

I.T., still remembering and appreciating your suggestion of Warner’s Simple and Abridged Korans.

I suggest you are making an error of projecting your process of reason on people who have no such process. Like Ann Coulter coined, “If Democrats had brains they would be Republicans,” “If muslims were allowed to have brains and independent rational thoughts, they would leave.” Muslims are required to stop thinking or questioning what is written and taught from their “final, perfect, complete and unchangeable” documents. In many cases they only hear what their brainwashing teachers want them to know. Any challenge is a potential death sentence.

There are several books, of which I have found and read 4, on the subject of Iran and its leadership’s desire to bring about mass killing for the revelation of the hidden Twelfth Imam. All are written by authors who have enough “gravitas” to be worth considering. Taken together the books and authors agree that our (“western”) process of reason, which made MAD work in the past, has no value when it comes to Shia islam.

If Israel has nuclear weapons, which it neither confirms nor denies, it has enough to make death very interesting for any who threaten it. I cannot imagine a more suicidal action than to threaten or attack Israel: They do not play-They win. Political differences in Israel disappear when attacked or threatened, unlike the US. They understand that their very existence is on the line at all times. The US does not.

          Apr 14, 2019 at 9:57 pm

The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran was interesting, but even Robert Spencer wrote that not all things in Iran appear as they might seem, and really a lot of the Muslim World runs the same way. The Muslims at times play Chess better than the West does.

        • Frank Anderson says

          Apr 14, 2019 at 10:30 pm

I.T., chess may be fun when the stakes are amusement. When the stakes rise to life, death and slavery, the time for bluff and deception ends. The WHOLE edifice of islam is based on lying. The only certainty to be taken in any transaction with an Islamic counterpart is that he will lie like a dog whenever he thinks he can get an advantage. He will, in following the example of the “perfect man” make promises and then kill.

In law school I video recorded a number of student practice negotiating classes. I became interested in the subject and read 6 books. All agreed the essential requirement of any negotiation is the ability of the parties to trust each other. That is totally absent from anyone who admits to being muslim. Their word to a non-muslim is meaningless; and their word to a muslim is only slightly better.

Look at the uncounted thousands sacrificed by Iran in the war with Iraq. When life is nothing but misery, as taught by the mullahs, death is nothing but a relief. When killing kafirs, infidels, unbelievers, sub-humans, is the ticket to paradise out of a world of misery, take them at their word. They mean it as shown by suicide bombers most of our lives. Any attribution of rational decision making is misplaced. 1400 years of teaching and practice demonstrate the same “final, perfect, complete, unchangeable” rules being followed, with the killing of between 250,000,000 and 1,000,000,000 people in that time.

A rhetorical question: How much trust could a Jew give Hitler’s promise of safety in Nazi Germany? Be aware of the “delusion of reprieve”.

So Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi-Kermani “condemned the United States’ move of labeling the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization.”

In the next breath he also threatened Israel, saying that “the IRGC missiles are capable of leveling Israel to the ground”

Isn’t he admitting that the IRGC is, indeed, a terrorist organization – or am I missing something?

    Thoughts?

That imam of Iran with his threatening words of violence is the outcome of the legacy of Ayatollah Khomeini with his belief in violence and war. To be more specific Islamic violence and war. Strangely, there are many young people and strangely many older people, who are Westerns who in the United States as well other countries of the West are, no doubt sincere but very misinformed ,as in misled, therefore say ,because they believe it, that “Islam is a peaceful and non-violent religion .” To those people the first and supreme Ayatollah Khomeini , who was the very head this current Islamic regime of Iran knows better stated about how he feels about those naïve Westerns .For he declared “Islam grew with blood….Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels” He also said “Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war….I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” [1]

So, in other words Ayatollah Khomenei felt nothing but arrogant contempt for those people who say that his religion “Is a peaceful religion” and understand that they in ignorant and uninformed.
Therefore the West needs to wake up to the reality of the truth about the actual violent essence of this religion.

Good and perceptive post in general, IMHO of course. I believe you give these ayatollahs and mullahs too much credit though. They didn’t invent their culture’s love of killing and maiming and enslaving, it comes straight from their scriptures. Oh and don’t give the Fat Dwarf or the Archangel Gabriel credit either. Isn’t it remarkable how their scriptures—-at least the Medina portions—enshrine the common practises of 7th-century Arabia, where the default state was vendetta pillaging enslaving &c &c &c? All aboard for 7th-century Arabia, get your tickets & suicide vests at the local mosque.

This very year Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei even had a meeting with the chief terrorist chief of Islamic Jihad and their talking about the Muslim daydream and fantasy of destroy Israel actually means nothing Iran’s stooge jihad groups with the jihadists who are the members of anti-Israel, anti-Jewish , Islamic terror entities as Islamic jihad ,Hezbollah ,Hamas , and so forth with their Muslim jihad agenda of destroying the Jewish State of Israel and replacing her with an Islamic “state, are dangerous deluded violent wicked and irrational .So much so that they are similar to the characters in the Bible in Ecclesiastes 9:3. This reads “The hearts of men are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they join the dead.”

Likewise, the jihadists of those scheming and murderous Islamic terror organizations, just mentioned, are, in many ways , the same as those anti-Israel violent men described in Psalm 83:2-4 . Which reads “See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning, they conspire against your people: they plot against those you cherish. ‘come’ they say , ‘let us destroy them as a nation ,so that Israel’s name is remembered no more…’ Further in this very same chapter in verses 16 -18 it is also written. “Cover their faces with shame, Lord so that they will seek your name. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord – that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” [N.I.V.]
