“Colombo bombings: ISIS suggests revenge for strikes on Muslims,” by Vicky Nanjappa, One India, April 21, 2019:
The Islamic State supporters have indicated that the Colombo bombings were in retaliation for strikes on Mosques.
SITE Intel group said that the ISIS supporters portrayed the attack as revenge for strikes on mosques and Muslims in general.
It may be recalled that in 2016 there were reports that 32 elite Muslims had joined the Islamic State.
The ISIS had warned that it would target the Buddhists in Sri Lanka. Further looking at the pattern of the blast and also the fact that the attack was targeted only at the Catholics and foreigners, it suggests that the outfit has a hand behind this attack.
Initial reports that emerged after bomb blasts ripped Colombo suggest that a suicide bomber could have been involved….

The whole point of “eye for an eye” was that the retribution would be level, and not go beyond that which was stated. Crusades Were Right says
I suspect the Mohammedan terrorists are suggesting that ANY Christians ANYWHERE on Earth are accountable for the military campaigns of (supposedly Christian) Western powers such as the USA, if those campaigns are against Mohammedan enemies.
In other words, the entire Christian community worldwide is to be treated as a pool of hostages to provide victims to be “executed” in response to Western efforts against jihadists and other Mohammedan enemies.
The normal response to this kind of terrorism would be to ban its organisation, arrest its members, shut down its premises, seize its assets, ban public utterances in favour of it, and generally try to stamp it out wherever it takes root…
…but in THIS case, of course, that would be… um… you know.

Hugh Fitzgerald says
Christians in Sri Lanka may attack Muslims in retaliation, but more likely it will be the Sinhalese Buddhists, keenly aware that it was the Muslim invaders of India who caused the virtual extinguishing of Buddhism in the land of its birth, who will now attack Muslims. And the Western media will be outraged at these attacks on innocent Muslims, while refusing to investigate the long history of Muslim violence that explains the ferocious Buddhist reaction, in Sri Lanka as in Myanmar..
Dimitri Fernando says
Hugh. I am in Colombo. I was to go to church, but didnt. Not one of the Catholic churches, but a large Evangelical church. It could have been one of the targets. Thats all besides the point. To reply your thought, Christians in Sri Lanka have been persecuted for donkeys years, without either the local authorities nor western nations, giving a D**n about us. Christians have been beaten, raped, assaulted, and killed, churches and home meetings burnt and so on. This was all done by Fundamentalist Buddhists, who ascribed the growing church influence, to peddling of money in order to get people away from noble Buddhism. Usually it was the monks that instgated. the violence. Just last week, my own church Reverend, was locked with some parishioners into a church less than 4 hours away by car, into the church building which was pelted with stones, and he was insulted and threatened. Security was promised by the Prime Minister to him. I am sure you havenot heard this story in the press. But nothing is done to stop the BUddhists from attacking the Christians.
To answer you, the Christians here will NEVER attack Muslims in retaliation. That is like saying that roving mobs of white Americans and Britishers went on a burning spree all over USA or Britain. Christians always turn the other cheek. Whether Catholics or Protestants, their days of revenge and relatiation are long past. The BUddhists will not start attacking Muslims unless a temple or BUddhist holy place is targeted. If this happens, then its likely that some radical Buddhists will attack Muslim communities. But who knows/ Right now we are having a curfew to prevent such violence from happening. But regardless , looks like the Christians will now be persecuted by both the Buddhists and Muslims.

You are wrong, neither Catholics nor Christians have ever been attacked or persecuted in Sri Lanka. Don’t you know most Catholics and Christians are Sinhalese. Can’t you remember how the Pope was welcomed in Sri Lanka. I am Buddhist but I too took part in the mass at Galle Face, thanks to a friend who is a Catholic priest. There have been isolated incidents where attacks on tin roofed huts put up by fundamentalists called themselves Evangelists converting poor people for money. Even the Catholic church have raised their concerns about this.
Imran says
this is an absolutely ridiculous analysis. The Christians never harmed the Muslims of Lanka, and neither has the Buddhists…only LTTE has harmed Lankans, collectively. What happened in Lanka is as a result of ongoing false news and fake reporting, like your website. This is another 8chan or 4chan, where bigots and hate mongers goes to quell their insecurities and feel good about their pathetic souls. what happened in Sri Lanka is no different from what happened in New Zealand, nothing pure, just malice and hatred.
so, please don’t bother to quote things out of context, and don’t bother to have the decency of publishing this comment, cause the truth of the matter is, I am sure your site has an equally high viewership by ISIS and White-Supremacists as sane people. . . your hatred just adds to both side of the spectrum.
All the best and you will be answerable one day.

Imran–names don’t get much more Islamic than that–is full of crap.
It is not Jihad Watch that is reporting that these horrifying attacks were perpetrated by Muslims, but news outlets from all over the world.
And the Islamic State itself has claimed responsibility.

Note that Imran also does not explain how opposing the mass murder of Sri Lankans is “white surpremacism”. Nice try…

Guy Forester says
Well Hugh, I am not holding my breath waiting for an appropriate response. It took a long time for Sri Lanka to finally squash the LTTE after decades of terror attacks. But, they did finally do it. However, Sri Lanka is still getting scrutinized/criticized for what they did and how they did it. Funny, it seems the LTTE did not get such a critical eye, if my memory serves me well.
I am still waiting for the West to wake up, smell the coffee, and act appropriately to put an end to these atrocities. I thought the two attacks on the twin towers would do it, but I guess I was wrong. A half hearted response that merely worsened the situation, at best. Meanwhile we are supposed to bend over, take it, and be ready for the next one. The victim gets the blame, and the MSM worries about offending the attackers. I guess the MSM and most self serving politicos learned the proper attitude from the Charlie Hebdo and Theo Van Gogh “incidents”.

Hugh,
Christians don’t “attack in retaliation.” They may have to protect themselves, but they won’t go doing things like this to moslims or their barracks or businesses. Christians depend on God to act for them.
Regarding some of what they have been enduring in that island nation:
https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-32929855
There are violent Buddhists monks there who don’t follow the non-violence teachings of their religion. They have no more regard for Christians than do moslims, and preach “racism.” In fact, nearly 90 verified attacks on Christians have happened recently. It seems the government doesn’t give official recognition to Christians, per the U.S. State Dept.

Attempts to justify…by a use of plagiarized and corrupted Law..on top of misdirected “revenge”
Clearly, this “verse” in their filthy, unholy writings, was taken, and then corrupted, from the Bible. And as usual, as moslims do with everything, they twist and misuse it.
If they really wanted to have an “eye for an eye”…they wouldn’t be going after people who have not committed any wounding of an eye against them. If they lost an eye, the person who caused the loss would be the one for whom to look for recompense.
But, as is well known, moslims attack every day of every week… because they are commanded to…and because they like it….they lust for the blood of innocent people…and use terror to cause others to submit to their evil from satan.

But this will be very inconvenient for Bloomberg (and no doubt many other establishment media propaganda outlets that are the moving parts of the globalist NWO Western islamo-whitewashing spin machine), who, right out of the gate this morning, began spinning this attack to be one that was not targeting foreigners, and as just a part of the long-running civil war in the region: no discussion of jihad, islam, muslims, etc., not surprisingly, once again.

This one begs the question…
WHAT attacks on mosques? (by Christians!)
Yes, mosques were attacked at times rarely. But if they are referring to NZ, uh… hello?
Newsflash: It was not by a Christian! It was just some wackhead guy!
There is no ‘revenge’ to be gotten!
Unbelievable.
But I have come across muslims and have a glimpse into this skewed thinking.
They think that anyone is either a muslim, a Jew, or a Christian with few exceptions. Like they come to the West and think “all these people are Christians.” But most of them are not. They see all this decadence and it is not done by Christians, like porn, drugs, prostitution, etc. But for them the ‘West’ is synonymous with ‘Christian.’ It is totally askew and false and so on, but they are convinced. I once had a conversation with a muslim (long story) and he said I should travel to Turkey. Back then it was not as bad as over the last few years, but it was bad enough. I knew of the persecution and martyrdoms of Christians going on in middle eastern countries by many sources. I just came flat out and said it, “If I travel there, I will be killed.” I honestly did not mean it as an attacking comment, it is just a fact. And I would be the first one to die. I am a very public Christian and change that for no one or no circumstance. If they ask me, I must tell them that I am a Christian. I would even share my faith if I could relate in language. Not everyone would be a target, but if anyone was, I’d be on the top of their hit list. I was just letting him know. Well, he goes on defending that this would not happen (oh really???) and I explained about what I knew. He went on arguing that “Christians have killed more muslims” than the other way around. I was like, uh… no. The other way around WAY more! He started talking about the gulf wars with the Bush’s and how muslims died by ‘Christians’ with that as his ‘proof.’ Seriously, that is how they think. I explained that…. 1) If you want to talk about wars, let’s go back to the muslim invasions and all the unprovoked massacres of Christians by muslims that go way back. Hands down, muslims killed more Christians by millions to one. 2) Wars sometimes must come, I don’t know if that was one of them, but if WWII had not come, hitler might have taken over. If per chance some muslims would have died, that is just part of the casualty statistic like in any other war. 3) No one was targeting muslims in these wars. The object was totally different. When muslims invade, they target Christians and Jews. There is a difference. 4) Extending on 3, there were MANY people who died in these wars in the gulf, including Christians, Jews, and others! No one was targeting muslims or Christians. Bombs don’t discriminate when they hit largely populated areas of civilians. 5) Neither Bush was even a Christian! They are both members of secret societies that would make it impossible for them to be Christians. 6) Professing Christian does not mean Christian. Fake Christians are everywhere. Then you have public political face ‘Christians.’ Similarly, some Jews blame Christians for the Holocaust because there were some who ‘affiliated’ and said things indicative that way. But nazism rejected Christianity and that is recorded in history books and I have seen it. 7) Lastly, if you are a true Christian you don’t go around murdering folks and it’s just that simple. Well, I explained all of this but I don’t think I got very far. They are dead set on thinking that anything else is ‘Christian’ and that is totally false!
Like they probably think this NZ shooter at the mosques was ‘Christian’ when he made no comment to that effect, just because he was white and Western! And even if he did make such a proclamation, he would be wrong because you can’t follow Jesus and go shooting people up. It’s just not the way of the faith.
But what has happened here in Sri Lanka is truly tragic, almost 200 dead and some injured in Germany. But like someone said, where is the show of solidarity? Where is the call for the nation to don crosses from top to bottom? Anywhere! Or something like that, etc. Crickets. That is it. And empty token extensions of ‘sympathy’ out of obligation or they will look like hating hypocrites.
Marigold says
A few weeks ago the left wing MSM fell over themselves in their haste to conclude that the gunman in the Christchurch massacre was from the”far right” when in actual fact it was far from clear exactly what his politics were.A few weeks later in the aftermath of the Sri Lankan tragedy we find the same left wing MSM [which includes just about all of it] engaging in the most pathetic waffling deciding who exactly IS responsible which is nauseating to put it mildly. They know damn well who is responsible if they were honest and had the guts to make it clear!
They also haven’t reported one single public expression of sympathy for these attacks on Sri Lankan Christian churches from ANY Muslim community so it is reasonable to assume there hasn’t been any otherwise they would have shouted it from the rooftops. However, after Notre Dame they carefully avoided any mention of the hateful comments on facebook which have been made by people with Arabic sounding names.
All I can say is that the MSM must be paralysed with fear that if they are too
honest and unbiased in their reporting of what is really going on with jihad around the world, media outlets will take priority on the jihad target list. After all the murder of the journalist Kashoggi in the Saudi Arabian embassy in Turkey and the attack on the cartoon paper in Paris must have taught them that there really is something to be afraid of.
gravenimage says
True–given that the shooter is an admirer of Communist China–that doesn’t sound all that right wing. It was also often said that he was Christian, despite his saying he is pagan.
Trouble says
History repeated. Recent history- No difference to the bloodshed that happened recently in Egyptian churches, slaughter of christians across the Middle East, Africa, now Sri Lanka.
Many cases of most vile vandalism and worse across Christian Europe. The jury is not out on Notre Dame and the pressure for answers will continue. This sort of terror and vile acts had not happened since the Middle Ages.Call It out for what it is -the systemic genocide of christians and all but a hush about it. Sad and sickening. God be with the Sri Lankan people and help them through Satan’s doings, peace loving people are with you.
