What price should be paid for depriving a human being of 16 years of their freedom? American courts aren’t really set up to answer the question. Slavery hasn’t been an issue here in a long time.
But under the pressure of Islamic immigration, it’s coming back.
Jihad Watch first covered the Texas slave case last year.
A Texas couple with deep political connections in the West African country of Guinea was charged Thursday with forced labor after a young woman they allegedly enslaved for more than 16 years managed to escape their home in Southlake with help from neighbors.
Mohamed Toure and Denise Cros-Toure, both 57, allegedly brought the victim from Guinea to Texas in 2000, when she was just 5 years old. She has not been named.
They allegedly then forced the girl to do housework and care for their children, subjecting her to emotional and physical abuse, the Department of Justice said in a press release.
As Robert Spencer noted at the time, “Muhammad bought slaves: “Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: There came a slave and pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man).” (Muslim 3901)”
Jihad Watch also noted their conviction in January.
Now their sentence is here.
When she arrived in the US, the West African girl was just five years old, but she soon was responsible for caring for a Texas couple’s children, cooking, cleaning and mowing the lawn. She was abused and neglected for 16 years — until she escaped, according to a criminal complaint against the couple.
The pair has now been sentenced to seven years each in prison and nearly $300,000 in restitution, according to a Monday news release from the Justice Department.Mohamed Toure, 58, and Denise Cros-Toure, 58, were convicted in January of forced labor, conspiracy to harbor an alien and alien harboring.

Mr. C, your genocidal and vicious ideation is not only irresponsible and sophomoric … it is very dangerous. Such great fools and thoughtless thugs just like you were sentenced and punished at Nuremburg.
CRUSADER says
Mortimer, you have little humor to you.
And you consistently bring up this grading rubric about Nuremberg.
Don’t you know that by doing so, you are eating your own?
Move on.
Focus on your DEPROGRAMMING.
That’s your speciality…
Please keep explaining what THAT is….
gravenimage says
Mortimer, how is CRUSADER posting a video of a movie character giving a bad guy a swift kick “genocidal”?
Who was sentenced at Nuremberg for suggesting that slavers get a thump?
Frederick King says
The groups here in America demanding “reparations” should be going after these creatures.
CRUSADER says
No !
7 years x 2 doesn’t come close enough to 16 years.
$300k for “restitution”?
Heck, Omar Khadr got $10 million, and he around 16 or so when he committed murderous crimes.
He recently used $3 million of that to become a landlord in Edmonton, buying a strip mall there.

Where are the Social Justice Warriors on these matters?
This is what should be done with such perpetrators: EXECUTION by beheading —

You are very childish. We live in a world of adult law laws.
Adults are needed with mature thoughts if we are to defeat the jihad ideology. You obviously don’t have the mature, educated mind required to do that.
CRUSADER says
If I am childish….so is the inestimable Robert Spencer.
He is the fellow who first brought Hassan Chop to my horizon.
Or did you miss that particular day?
Move on, Mortimer, you bore me.
Focus on the real enemy.

Actually, Mortimer, part of the fight against the Fascists involved mocking cartoons, movies, and songs. I just recently re-watched Hal Roach’s 1943 short “That Nazty Nuisance” on TCM. Not a great film, but very satisfying.
Chaplin’s “The Great Dictator” is considered a work of art by many people–would you call this “childish” as well?

7 yrs. 4 enslavement? Was the judge an activist? Proper sentence 30 – life @ hard labor.& confiscate & give everything they have 2 victim.

mortimer,
In my opinion, which may not mean anything to anyone but me, you should study the Nuremburg trials, and see just what led to those trials…who the defendants were, what they believed and what they did to their victims. Kicking hardly comes close, even if it was meant to be a real kicking attack.
A person saying here on a thread that monsters such as these two should get more than a few years in prison…and seven most likely won’t be the full seven…is nothing compared to what happened during the Nazi era. In fact, what these moslim creeps did is closer to what the Nazi’s did to their victims.
They certainly deserve more than a few years behind bars…with full eating privileges, medical care, and most likely, their filthy manual for their evil thoughts that led to the enslavement of the poor child.
CRUSADER says
Not enough of the Nazis were hanged.
Some even took cyanide tablets.
How cruel of them.
somehistory says
Texas was set to execute the third guy in the trial against the trio who murdered James Byrd in 1998 today. One guy has been already, the second gave evidence and received life in prison. All of the sentences were applicable for what they did to Mr. Byrd. They came as close as humanly possible to justice.
However, 7 years…for enslaving a little child, not much more than a toddler and for 16 years of mistreatment, is not up to Texas standards of justice. These filthy moslims took the child’s life away…stole her childhood through forced labor and confinement.
They should be looking at life behind bars and forced to eat pig’s feet three times a day, and without having their unholy book or rugs to continue in their worship of satan.
And they should be made to slave away in the most strenuous work in the prisons.
It is disgusting that they were given such a short sentences and that these will likely be reduced by the parole board. They “messed with Texas” by what they did to the little girl. Divine Justice will find them for their sins against God.
Watto35 says
People who are convicted for crimes against children usually have to spend their sentences in isolation since most other prisoners will be planning to kill them. Seven years may not seem a long time but every day will seem an eternity when dozens of their fellow-prisoners will be planning their end.
Spiro says
Put them in general population that should solve the problem of 7 year sentence
smoris says
It seems that Texas is losing its “tough” reputation quickly of late. We hear increasingly about Islam in the schools there too.

More evidence that slavery is alive and active today. In Libya Black men are on sale daily. In Morocco house slaves are common. Where ever the Moroccans migrate they take their slaves with them. The same practice is done in some families from West Africa. You do not hear a mumbling word from the fake Left about modern day slavery. May God set all men free!.
Eric
smoris says
No one should be allowed to immigrate here unless and until he is prepared to live by the laws of this country. It should make no difference where these people come from or who they “owned” back home. If they want to keep slaves let them do it in Morocco or Guinea or whatever hellhole the come from. Send these people back to Guinea with prejudice as soon as they are released from prison. This is really nothing but a story about “multiculturalism”. Take a good look, all you open-minded oafs. This is what you are championing with your “every culture is equal to or better than America’s” attitude. They aren’t. That is why we fought a revolutionary war and why we ended up in a civil war to try to “correct’ this problem Other countries’ cultures are NOT equal to ours. They are NOT “better” than ours. If someone thinks so, he should stay where that “better” culture prevails. It has no place in America. Now or ever. Anyone convicted of slavery – this kind or what Britain has become famous for, sex slavery – needs to serve a long, hard sentence with no privileges whatsoever and no halal-compliant food either, and then be deported for life and executed if they return. This could deter some of this stuff. Seven years? That wouldn’t make a dent in a way of life that dates back to Mohammed.
Eric Jones says

Ridiculously short sentence for what they’ve done and ruining somebody’s life.
Brenda says
“As the tide of Muslim migration continues to flow, our justice system will have to struggle with questions such as these.”
There would be no ‘struggle’ if we limited migration from 1 – 100 people per year. Banned the use or introduction of foreign code, culture, laws and traditions into US court proceedings.
Our courts are rotten, corrupt and presided over by skanks. You don’t go to any US court expecting justice because there isn’t any. If there had been justice:
1 These people would have faced 32 years in prison each – 2 years for each year they held the girl captive.
2 Paid restitution of $1.6 million each – $100,000 for each year she was held in captivity.
3 Had their US citizenship revoked – if they were naturalized citizens.
4 Face immediate deportation once their sentences had be served.
Nelson W. Lentz says
We should all be asking some questions about this ridiculous/outrageously lenient 7 year prison sentence.
Who was the Judge? What was his name? Was he perhaps an Islamic convert as more than a few of the judges sitting on the bench in our country’s courts today are? What does he know about Islam? Has he ever read the Koran? Did he give this ridiculously lenient sentence out of pity for these ‘poor Muslim immigrants’ who he sees as ‘struggling’ to adopt to our culture? Is this judge an Islamic sympathizer?
I completely agree with what Brenda wrote Apr 25, 2019 at 2:09 pm:
“If there had been justice:
1 These people would have faced 32 years in prison each – 2 years for each year they held the girl captive.
2 Paid restitution of $1.6 million each – $100,000 for each year she was held in captivity.
3 Had their US citizenship revoked – if they were naturalized citizens.
4 Face immediate deportation once their sentences had be served.”.
And, of course, this judge should be immediately kicked off the bench and prosecuted vigorously.

I note from BuzzFeed that the man in this story is none other than the son of Sekou Toure, first president of independent Guinea and an icon to many African-American and other radicals of my generation. But, as Muslims as onetime clients of the Soviet Empire, I’m sure the Toure family will get a press from the MSM.
