Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Sri Lanka: At least 100 murdered as churches during Easter services and hotels targeted

Apr 21, 2019 3:03 am By Robert Spencer

At least 138 killed, 400 wounded.

“No-one has yet said they were responsible for the attacks. There have been fears that returning fighters from the Islamic State group could pose a threat in the country.”

“Sri Lanka explosions: 100 killed as churches and hotels targeted,” BBC, April 21, 2019:

At least 100 people are reported to have been killed and hundreds more injured in explosions at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka.

At least six explosions have been reported. Three churches in Kochchikade, Negombo and Batticaloa were targeted during Easter services.

The Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotels, all in Colombo, were also hit….

Images on social media showed the inside of one of the churches – St Sebastian’s in Negombo – with a shattered ceiling and blood on the pews.

Sri Lankan media report that foreign tourists may be among the casualties.

Some media sources are putting the death toll even higher. Reuters quoted a police source as saying more than 50 died in Negombo alone.

A hotel official at the Cinnamon Grand, near the prime minister’s official residence, told Agence France-Presse the explosion there had ripped through a restaurant, killing at least one person….

No-one has yet said they were responsible for the attacks.

There have been fears that returning fighters from the Islamic State group could pose a threat in the country….

    EASTER Tidings:

    http://christianrightsandfreedom.org/about-us/

The Christian Rights and Freedom Institute is a Christian, private donor supported educational and advocacy organization bearing witness to God’s love on the current moral and ethical challenges of our day, especially on religious liberty, the UN’s Universal Declaration on Human Rights, on persecution, and on genocide.

We envision a world where all people are respected as being created in the, “image” and “likeness” of God. (Genesis 1:26-27)

The Institute was founded in 2014 in response to the invasion of Mosul, Iraq as a means of opposing and stopping the ensuing genocide. It sponsors an annual speaker series, culminating each year with the National Christian Rights and Freedom Symposium.

“Witnessing our Faith by peacefully uplifting Christ”

The holy scriptures reveal that mankind is created in the, “image” and “likeness” of God (Genesis 1:26-27), and has been endowed with the gift of “free will” (Genesis 2:16-17, Leviticus 1:3, Joshua 24:15, Ezra 3:5); therefore, freedom is fundamental to our divinely ordained nature, and is an inalienable gift from God. The Institute opposes all affronts to this freedom, whatever their evil forms, be they tyranny, oppression, enslavement, injustice, or moral decay afflicting mankind and society.

Christians are called to illumine and heal this fallen world by sharing the Light and Life of Christ (John 1:4). God, as the author of life, is the source of everything that is good, for “every good and perfect gift… is from above…”. (James 1:17) As we are one with His life, we value and defend life.

We are our, “brother’s keeper” (Genesis 4:8-10). Christians are morally obligated to speak out on matters of religious liberty, human rights, and on the pressing moral and ethical issues of our day for everyone’s benefit. We must play a leading role in this educational process. The Christian Rights and Freedom Institute is committed to this cause.

Jesus Christ is the Divine Logos (John 1:1). He is the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:16). He is the most beautiful of all. (Psalms: 27:4, 50:2, 90:17) He is, “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:1) The Lord is righteous. (Psalm 11:7) Wherever beauty, truth and righteousness exist, His word is present, because He generously spreads His seed (see “Parable of the Sower”: Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8; see also “σπερματικός λόγος” – i.e. “seed of the Word”, St. Justin Martyr, 1c. AD). We seek and promote the growth of this seed wherever it resides.

As Americans, our ability to express our United States Constitutional 1st Amendment freedoms is being undermined (i.e. grievance, assembly, speech, press and religious liberty), which adversely affects our ability as Christians to live, share and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are morally obligated to defend religious liberty, not only for ourselves, but for everyone. When our rights and freedoms are restored, we will all benefit.

Families are experiencing unprecedented social, cultural and economic upheavals, which are undermining their ability to transmit faith and values to succeeding generations. The decline in the number of Christians must be reversed. We are all responsible for instilling Godly faith in succeeding generations, and educating our families on the sanctify of freedom as a need and expression of the soul, which is endowed with free will. The Christian Rights and Freedom Institute strives to play an important role in the education of families on the foundations of faith and freedom through our educational and advocacy programs, which are intended for use in homes, churches, communities and schools.

As long as leaders keep making excuses and burying head in the sand and this will keep happening.

Don’t Kuwaitis and Turks steal a lot of organs from Sri Lankans they bring in under the ruse of using them for non citizen with no chance of citizenship, not being Muslim, ‘domestic workers’? Then use the organs in Muslim only hospitals in Turkey and Kuwait? And doesn’t the Sri Lankan government cover it up, because those secret deals with Kuwait and Turkey are quite lucritive for the solvent government?

If indeed this was done by some so called “holy warriors”, I expect a response similar to what happened to the LTTE. After a while, the Sri Lankans got tired of the terror war and put an end to it. It was not pretty.

My condolences to those that were injured and to the families that lost loved ones. I cannot comprehend the kind of hatred that would lead people to specifically target those that cannot defend themselves. Stinking cowards.

BTW: If you have not yet done so, see the movie “Hotel Mumbai.” Although it narrowly focused on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, it gives a good idea of what those terrorists did and why it played out like it did. We now have plenty of evidence (Columbine, Taj, Stoneman High) what happens when the “good guys” stand down. The guys with the ability to respond need to. Do not wait for the cavalry to save the day.

Another off topic: Currently a report that “Mexican Military” claimed 2 US soldiers in an unmarked USBP vehicle were over the border, detained them, and disarmed them. From what I read, they could just as easily have been Zetas or similar that wear military uniforms and carry real full auto military weapons. DJT needs to seal the border, call up the guard, and declare a true state of emergency down there.

Are the Leftists outraged? Or do they only get outraged when a non-Muslim, especially a white guy, does something and only in a Western country? Will they ever get a clue? Do they not realize how bad it is? The media is of no help. This is a worldwide problem.

I feel terrible for these people.

Well, she did. And immediately compared this to the mosque shootings. BTW, based upon some pictures posted that are probably now gone to the memory hole, the mosque apparently did have an active shooter drill prior. I do not deny that people died. However, something stinks about that attack. NZ is now being disarmed, and your lovely PM indicated that your lovely country is now subject to the religion we dare not name.

Unfortunately, the thousands of good men (and no doubt some women) that should be standing up for freedom in NZ were squandered in two stupid European wars. Actions have consequences.

For the last few years, I have been warning Christian clergy to have an armed parishioner seated near the door at all large services, especially Easter and Christmas. I hope they will start doing so. At least some jihadists may be stopped by having an armed man come at them before they let lose.

God save us from the wrath of the supremacist Muslim.
