The Catholic archbishop of Colombo, Malcolm Ranjith, “met with ambassadors of Islamic countries who expressed condolences over the deadly Easter Sunday suicide bombings and assured him, he said, that there was ‘no connection to Islam.'” No one who thinks could possibly take this seriously. To understand the 1,400-year link between bloody jihad conquest and normative Islam, read The History of Jihad: From Muhammad to ISIS. Muhammad also instructed his followers that “war is deceit” (Bukhari 4.52.268).
Yet Cardinal Ranjith believes the ambassadors, who were from countries including Turkey (where leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan aims to “decimate” the Kurds, etc., and had Turkish soldiers recite the Qur’an before going out to battle them); Pakistan (known for its cruel blasphemy laws and violent persecution of Christians); Egypt (where Muslim Brotherhood violent persecution of Christians continues); Qatar (a Salafi state funder of jihad terror); and Saudi Arabia (a Wahhabi state funder of jihad terror). Ranjith was so pleased by the meeting that he fell for the ambassadors’ words of deceit, stating: “We are very happy and thankful to the ambassadors of the Islamic countries for having coming here to express their solidarity with us.”
Ranjith stands in stark contrast to high-ranking Vatican Cardinal Robert Sarah, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, who understands the nature of the jihad. Sarah has compared “the modern influx of Muslim migrants to the invasions of barbarian tribes that ultimately brought down the Roman Empire in a.d. 475.”
“Sri Lanka Cardinal Says Muslim Envoys Assured Him Bombings Had ‘No Connection to Islam,’” by Patrick Goodenough, CNS News, April 25, 2019:
(CNSNews.com) – The Catholic archbishop of Colombo met Wednesday with ambassadors of Islamic countries who expressed condolences over the deadly Easter Sunday suicide bombings and assured him, he said, that there was “no connection to Islam.”
The Islamic terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for eight bombings, whose targets included three churches and four hotels. The death toll has continued to rise, reaching 359 on Wednesday.
Sri Lankan police said eight suicide bombers have been identified. Deputy defense minister Ruwan Wijewardene said one was a woman and that most were well-educated and from well-to-do families. At least 58 people have been arrested as investigations continue.
A video released by ISIS’ media arm showed eight alleged perpetrators pledging allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. All are masked except one, identified as Zahran Hashmi, a radical Sri Lankan Muslim imam.
The ambassadors of more than a dozen Muslim countries – among them Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iran – called on the archbishop, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
“We are very happy and thankful to the ambassadors of the Islamic countries for having coming here to express their solidarity with us,” Ranjith told local media after their meeting.
He said the ambassadors had given their assurance that “what has happened is not something political or religious; it is something that has been probably the result of some misguided people, and maybe there are other forces behind those misguided people, but they are not – no connection to Islam.”
Ranjith said he told the envoys that Sri Lanka’s Catholics appreciate the country’s Islamic community, and that the attacks should in no way “harm the harmony and peace that exists between us – Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims together.”…..

It is hard to take seriously that any religion could promote this stuff UNTIL YOU READ THE QUR’AN/Hadiths. Then you might think, well its just an old version people have outgrown UNTIL YOU HEAR THE SERMONS of Today and al Azhar says NO CHANGES EVER TO THE UNCHANGING WORD OF ALLAH , which all good Muslims must ‘Believe’ or be tortured by Allah after death. And hear this taught TODAY as the only way to live, think, act. Incited in sermons and see the members acting out tends to let us know that any thinking person who allows this in their country is going to eventually attacked or politically taken over and punished for not BELIEVING exactly what Mohammed & his friends and cousin said and wrote as The Commands of Allah forever. But when you first hear about it…you think No Way. But yes Way of Islam. No other religion or group or immigrant is like this group. Its still new to many civilized people. And it is Unbelievable but Muslims kill even other Muslims as well as ‘others’ for saying so.

LIES, TAQIYYA and DISINFORMATION about Islamic ‘essential’ teachings …
IN FACT, the Koran has many verses that mandate RETRIBUTION or REVENGE against the DIRTY KUFAAR …
-K.11.173 “Believers, retaliation is decreed for you in bloodshed.”
-K.2.178 “O you who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the slain.”
– K.5:33 “The reprisal against those who wage war on Allah and His Messenger, and go about the earth corrupting it, is that they should be killed or crucified, or have their alternate hands and feet cut off, or be banished from the land.” Waging war against Allah is rejecting Him.”–Tafsir of Imam al-Bukhari
-Imam AbdulLatif ibn AbdurRahman rahimullah said, “It is not possible for someone to realize Tawheed and act upon it, and yet not be hostile against the mushrikeen. So anyone who isn’t hostile against the mushrikeen, then it can’t be said that he acts upon Tawheed, nor that he realizes it.” [ad-Durar as-Saniyyah 8/167]
-(The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land.) `Wage war’ mentioned here means: oppose and contradict, and it includes (opposing) disbelief.”–Tafsir Ibn Kathir “Surat al-Ma’idah [Q 5]”
-K. 2.191 And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.
-K.9:11-12 – But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and taunt you for your Faith, – fight ye the chiefs of Unfaith: for their oaths are nothing to them: that thus they may be restrained.
CONCLUSION:
FAR FROM OPPOSING REVENGE MASSACRES such as those in Sri Lanka, Islam REQUIRES SUCH REVENGE MASSACRES.

It’s outstandingly hard to believe that the Catholic Archbishop of Colombo can be so totally naive and gullible as to actually believe the ambassadors for Muslim countries came to meet him and told him the lie and cover up line that those deadly terrors attacks which occurred in Sri Lanka “had no connection with Islam. ”
That outstanding lying falsehood those Muslims told this Cardinal is such a false claim that ,maybe this Cardinal that it might really wanted believed it. Could it be really believed that bogus claim told him by those Muslim apologists for Islam because this false false belief in the “peaceful nature of Islam” would not than ,in any way , contradict the false statements by pope Francis about Islam being a “peaceful religion.” ?
Nevertheless, the truth be told, those deadly terror attacks did have everything to do with Islam .For example the Quran instructs “in Surah 47;4. “When ever you encounter the disbelievers strike off heir heads until you make a great slaughter among them.” Using many bombs as those Muslim terrorists did in the churches and hotels in Sri Lanka is a much more murderously effective method of making ” a greater slaughter among them than a a sword can .
In addition , it should be remembered that the religion of Islam with its “holy book” ,the Quran, gives further instruction for violence and killing for the advancement of Islam than just in 47:4. . As in, for example 2: 191, 5: 33. 9: 5, 111,112.

Those Muslims who told that Cardinal that there is “no connection with Islam” to those murderous terror attacks in Sri Lanka which occurred on Easter Sunday , this year. What blatant liars those Muslims ,by their lying words , have proven themselves to be !
For the Quran instructs “O you who believe ! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you…”
So lets a reality check, those Muslim terrorists of Sri Lanka did ,indeed, fight those fight ,with bombs those people who were not Muslims who were close to them .
Thus those /Muslims who were also jihadists had followed ,to the letter, the instruction for the jihad found in the Quran.

gravenimage says
I take your point–but Sri Lanka is only 10% Muslim. Are you saying that we have to lie about Islam even when Muslims just make up a small percentage of the population? Might as well just surrender now.
ahem says
There are even fewer Christians and ISIS, having failed in the ME, is now on the offensive in several other countries, including Sri Lanka. The Christians depend heavily on the majority Buddhist population for support, and who knows how that goes? We know little of their local politics. Perhaps the cardinal is afraid of pouring fuel on a fire than can only destroy the remaining Christian population and turn the island into a hell hole.It takes so little to motivate these demons, and they’re dying for a fight.
Surrender to Islam is out of the question—it’s the battle to preserve western civilization. This particular priest is just not really in a position to do anything other than what he’s doing now. He’s in great danger, but his first duty is to his fellow Christians.

So if the Islam and the Quran have nothing to do with terrorism why did King Abdulah forbid Jordanian Imams from teaching the Jihadist versus of the Quran. He must believe that Islam’s Quran is inherently dangerous.
Add to that the fact that French President Macron issued a request that Islam remove, based on an analysis and report by 300 leading French intellectuals, the verses of Jihad violence from the Quran. — it caused mayhem, the request was instantly rejected. But Islam needs a reformation, would it be a good idea for liberal Muslims to create and market a non-violent Quran?

The international leadership of the Catholic Church, with some notable exceptions, is theologically and morally bankrupt. They are shepherds who invite the wolves to devour their flock. I agree with Pope Benedict who envisions a future with a much smaller, but more faithful Church. Cardinals and bishops like Ranjith, participants in sabotaging their professed faith, should just join the sclerotic Church of England and be done with it.

I heard him refer to teh bombers as “animals’. I’d say the pope has told him what to say.
The pope has still not settled any “refugees” in the vatican.
The pope should lead by example.
tim gallagher says
I also saw him, Peter WF, on the TV news in Australia, say that the people involved in the bombings need to be treated “mercilessly” because only “animals” act as they have done. I thought he sounded like a pretty tough character compared to many other pathetic Christian Church leaders. When I read this report, I also thought, like you, that the Pope must have rung him and told him to fall back into line with the pathetic pro-Muslim garbage the Pope always espouses. I do like the sound of the church leader, Cardinal Robert Sarah, mentioned in the report above. He seems to see the truth and tells it exactly as it is. So many of the other church leaders are complicit in barbaric evil the way they support Islam. It is the opposite of what they are meant to do as supposed moral leaders..
CRUSADER says
Perhaps replace the word “animals” with BEASTS or MONSTERS ?
People become more like devils than most animals ever can.
tim gallagher says
What I thought when I saw the Archbishop make his statement about how the people involved should be treated “mercilessly” because they had behaved like “animals”, was exactly what you mention, CRUSADER. I believe only some types of human beings can act in such evil and sadistic ways, animals never do. But, of course, it is just an expression that many people use. He or she acted like an animal or a wild animal. You are right though, it is an insult to animals. He should have said they had acted like devils or monsters. As I said above, he sounded pretty tough at first, so I am disappointed at the sort of weak statements he seems to make now. I suppose he might have been speaking just after the massacre and was showing the anger he naturally felt. I was struck when I heard a Christian church leader say to treat people “mercilessly”, which was pretty unusual, although, I thought, thoroughly justified. I have a question for people here at Jihad Watch. I said I am impressed by that Cardinal Robert Sarah and what he said. Then I thought, how would he, with such different views from the Pope and his allies at the Vatican, get along with the Islamophile types at the Vatican? There must be some tension amongst the Vatican churchmen when they have such different opinions. Sarah seems to be one person who understands the Muslim invasion. I wonder if the Pope and his supporters will shunt Sarah aside.

The Catholic Archbishop of Colombo, Malcolm Ranjith must have been personally selected and trained in stupidity by Pope Francis, to spread Islamo-Sharia-compliance,,,,,,,,,,,,,
James Cameron says
From Wikipedia:
“[Ranjith] is a Sri Lankan cardinal of the Catholic Church. He is the ninth and current Archbishop of Colombo, serving since 2009. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 2010.
“Ranjith previously served as auxiliary bishop of Colombo (1991–1995), Bishop of Ratnapura (1995–2001), Adjunct Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples (2001–2004), Apostolic Nuncio to Indonesia and East Timor (2004–2005), and Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments (2005–2009)”.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malcolm_Ranjith
PF had nothing to do with any of the above. JP2 and B16 are the ones responsible for putting Ranjith where he now is. And the Pope who started the Islamopandering was Paul VI, in 1964. Not PF.
It will not do to blame PF all the time, for all the Islamopandering. Do people really not know, care, or think it important to know, that his predecessors set, and followed, this bad example ?
gravenimage says
This is true, James–but Pope Francis has indeed been *far* worse than any of his predecessors.
James Cameron says
Worse ? In regards to Islam, I’m not sure. But even if so – & IMO it is arguable – he is not responsible for Ranjith’s career. A lot of his pontificate seems to be taken up with dealing with the heinous mess left by his recent predecessors.
It would take a minor miracle for him to disavow the bad example of Paul VI, which was itself prompted by words of Vatican 2. The example of 3 recent Popes (two of them canonised) and a recent Ecumenical Council carries very great weight and authority in Catholic teaching and practice. And that is without considering the authority of Papal utterances since 1964 to the present time: so it is anything but surprising that PF, and the bishops generally, are so woefully out-of-touch with the realities of Islam.
So far, and with that major exception, I think he’s a very good Pope. After the seemingly unending scandal given by JP2, I can understand why many Catholics are deeply upset by PF; but living through JP2’s pontificate has made me a lot less easily upset by Papal scandalousness than I used to be. So for me, PF is not a problem. My opinion of JP2 is probably as low as many Catholics’ opinion of PF seems to be (apart from the idea of being an antipope – a lot of Catholics think that of PF, but I never seriously thought JP2 was one: one can perfectly well have good intentions, and cause an atrocious mess as Pope).
Thanks for the reply 🙂

Madrassas teaching Wahhabism and strict Salafism have nothing to do with Islam. Daily Muslim terrorist attacks in 50 countries have nothing to do with Islam. Educated suicide bombers just feel like giving up their lives for a cause and weren’t persuaded by Islam, martyrdom and Paradise. Many of the terrorist groups state they want to make the countries follow sharia law, but sharia law has nothing to do with Islam. Desecration if churches, Buddhist temples, Hindu shrines has nothing to do with Islamic thought and teaching.
These ambassadors from Islamic countries have no shame. They lie and lie while they fund and support martyrs for Islam. How do they explain the majority of terrorism in the world today is perpetrated by Muslim people? How do they explain that these Muslims do the the exact same things that have been done by Muslims since the 7th century?
