No surprise. In their classes, all that they heard was about how Britain and the West were the sources of oppression and had victimized the world’s Muslims, who were noble, pure, and guiltless. Then it’s likely that there was jihad preaching, and possibly outright recruitment, in their university Muslim student groups, and if university officials were aware of this, they were too afraid of being called “Islamophobic” to intervene.
“At least seven from my university joined IS, says captured fighter,” by Steve Swann, Daniel De Simone and Daniel Sandford, BBC News, April 1, 2019:
An Islamic State fighter held in Syria has told the BBC he was one of at least seven students and ex-students from University of Westminster to join IS.
Zakariyya Elogbani abandoned a degree in business management which he was taking at the university in 2014.
Another student had been studying while on a terror protection order which was made less restrictive by a judge, a BBC investigation has found.
University of Westminster says it takes its safeguarding duty “very seriously”.
This is not the first time that students at the university have been linked to violent jihadism – the notorious IS killer Mohammed Emwazi, known as Jihadi John, studied there until 2009.
The BBC’s investigation now exposes the secret funnelling of fighters and funds from the UK to IS in Syria.
Elogbani, who grew up in east London, was captured by Kurdish forces in Syria nine months ago.
Speaking to the BBC’s Middle East Correspondent Quentin Sommerville, Elogbani said: “Obviously we came here intending to fight. That’s the honest truth. But I don’t think it was a love for blood.”
He said there was a group at University of Westminster who had already left for Syria before he even began his studies.
“They kind of opened the way,” he added.
That may have been a reference to Mohammed Emwazi, who studied information systems at the university and left for Syria in 2013. He became infamous after appearing in videos in which he killed Western hostages. Emwazi died in a missile strike in November 2015.
Elogbani denied knowing him but admitted seeing another of the British kidnap gang, known as The Beatles, in Syria.
Another former University of Westminster student who went to Syria was Akram Sabah, a recruitment consultant who left the university in 2011 with a degree in biomedical sciences.
He and his older brother Mohammed were killed in fighting in September 2013.
The BBC investigation reveals that Elogbani travelled with fellow Westminster student Ishak Mostefaoui.
His Algerian family had settled in London when Mostefaoui was five. He was a popular, football-loving boy, brought up in a home that was opposed to extremism but his father, Abderrahmane, told the BBC that his son changed in 2013.
He believes his son was radicalised by people at University of Westminster….

My local university & hospital have become infested with bearded, military-age Muslim men (and a few women in hijabs). The university admissions board & med school are obviously seeking out Muslims and giving them preference over all other applicants. You would think the Muslim population in the U.S. is at least 30%, instead of 1.1%. The university’s “Diversity and Inclusion” department has been very busy!
I’m expecting a jihadi attack any day now. Of course, the university bans guns on the premises, so no one (who obeys that stupid rule) would be able to fight back effectively. And when it happens, I’m sure the university will remain resolutely clueless regarding the cause, and focus on reassuring Muslims, and worrying about Islamophobia and backlash against their precious Allah junkies.

Scary.

A Muslim can be radicalized almost anywhere, particularly if he can read jihadic materials on line. There are many pdf books and sermons that can be sent by email.
Once a Muslim (like lebel) learns to HATE KAFIRS ‘for the sake of Allah’, then violent JIHAD is only a step away.
It is almost impossible to detect a Muslim terrorist, since they often conceal their intentions following the SUNNA of Mohammed, right, lebel?
You do follow the Sunna of Mohammed, don’t you, lebel … or are you practicing ‘bida’ ? Are you only a half-hearted hater of kafirs? A lukewarm hater?

The ‘University of Westminster’ is, I believe, one of the latest brand of UK ‘Universities’ that were created in large numbers a couple of decades ago by giving Techinical Colleges and Polytechics ‘University’ status. So they would probably usually attract the kind of student who wouldn’t make it into one of the established institutions – and, apparently, lack quite a lot of integrity as well. So no great surprises here.

What makes you think that “the established institutions” are any better ?
Tariq Ramadan, the scholar rapist was an academic from Oxford, and Cambridge just revoked Jordan B Peterson fellowship offer.

Formerly Christian institutions are convincing people that the civilization founded with Christian principles must be destroyed.

-Err, how do we know that? The musselman upbringing producing a cozy jihad at an early stage, starting with a halalist falafel serving in the kitchen. And only later does it grow into a giant, blood-thirsty, muhamadist finger-licking kebab.
‘He believes his son was radicalised by people at University of Westminster…’
-Err, sure! Somebody else might have influenced the jeehadi spring chicken. And in occurrence with that, it must have been the toxic Western influence, mostly through Westminster high schooling (the good ol’ royal hotbed of extremism and Shakespearean madrassa).
I am sick and tired of the stereotyped mohamedist fathers in shock about their son’s unholy deeds. A muhamadan family nurturing a jihadi. Who would have thought?

And the UK denies those Christians entry! Go figure!

Hey Brits, hey Yanks, if you want to work and pay taxes to create and support jihadis, rejoice, you’re doing it already! If not, you might consider incorporating information like this article into the funding criteria for
“educational” institutions . And if you’re worried about “suppressing” a “viewpoint” in the marketplace of ideas……don’t worry, (1) Qatar and Turkey are probably already funding your local jihadist professor and (2) your local university is probably aiding and abetting Islamiisation with trigger warnings and safe zones….just in case anyone was thinking about advocating for Jews, Christians, apostates, vaccinators &c &c &c….

……………….
What about the idea that Jihad is caused by ignorance and lack of access to education?
