The British government has already for quite some time been at the forefront of efforts to destroy the freedom of speech and silence critics of jihad mass murder and Sharia oppression of women, gays, and others. Not only has Theresa May likened me and other foes of jihad terror to jihad terrorists themselves, she has also banned many of us from entering the country, while jihad preachers are routinely admitted and speak freely in the UK. It’s also no coincidence that many of the prominent foes of jihad terror who have been banned from social media are British: Milo, Tommy Robinson, Anne Marie Waters, Shazia Hobbs, Jonaya, and many others: the palsied hand of the Home Office is clearly at work here.
In any case, the social media giants have been working actively to become Sharia compliant of late. Twitter notifies users that their tweets violate Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. Facebook’s Vice President Joel Kaplan went to Pakistan in 2017 and assured the Pakistani government that Facebook would remove “anti-Islam” content. This British Internet Security Czar will tighten the Sharia compliance even further. Before too long, no one will dare utter a word opposing jihad mass murder or Sharia oppression; anyone who does will swiftly not have a platform to do so any larger than his or her living room. And then the jihad will be able to advance unopposed and unimpeded, which is apparently what Theresa May and her globalist cohorts want.
“UK to unleash internet safety czar on Google, Facebook, Twitter,” by Katie Collins, CNet, April 8, 2019:
Social media companies will face huge fines if they fail to live up to their “duty of care” to internet users.
The UK government is taking a hard line when it comes to online safety, moving to establish what it says is the world’s first independent regulator to keep social media companies in check.
Companies that fail to live up to requirements will face huge fines, and senior directors who are proven to have been negligent will be held personally liable. They may also find access to their sites blocked.
The new measures, designed to make the internet a safer place, were announced jointly by the Home Office and Department of Culture, Media and Sport. The introduction of the regulator is the central recommendation of a highly anticipated government white paper, titled Online Harms, published Monday in the UK.
The regulator will be tasked with ensuring social media companies tackle a range of online problems, including:
As well as applying to the major social networks, such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, the requirements will also have to be met by file-hosting sites, online forums, messaging services and search engines.
“For too long these companies have not done enough to protect users, especially children and young people, from harmful content,” UK Prime Minister Theresa May said in a statement. “We have listened to campaigners and parents, and are putting a legal duty of care on internet companies to keep people safe.”
Google and Facebook didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The UK government is trying to decide whether to appoint an existing regulator to the job or to create a brand-new regulator position purely for this purpose. Initially the position will be funded by the tech industry, and the government is debating a levy for social media companies.
“The era of self-regulation for online companies is over,” Digital Secretary Jeremy Wright said in a statement. “Voluntary actions from industry to tackle online harms have not been applied consistently or gone far enough.”…

It looks as if they left out what “online problems” were listed after the word “including.”
Could these “problems” have anything to do with the Truth about islam, moslims, migrants, terror, shouts of an incredibly offensive and intimidating phrase during terror attacks by moslims, the word ‘jihad” and anything connected to anything the government doesn’t want the public to know?
And just who is an “independent regulator”? How “independent” from the U.K. government will they be? How “independent” from the moslims in the government will they be?

Freedom of speech is important. Some of the information she wants banned is information people have a right to know about. The dangers of Islam. It does not take away from Muslims who are not violent and don’t want to overthrow the country. This treading nicely so as not to offend “Muslims” is ridiculous. It seems you can say anything bad about Christians but in the case of Muslims you are not allowed to have an opinion.
mortimer says
Agree with JT: information people need to know … to be a well-informed electorate.
Islam is systemically totalitarian, so by banning criticism of this totalitarian ideology, we actually ENDORSE it and make it the DE FACTO STATE RELIGION.
I believe that such a COMMISSARIATE OF CORRECT THOUGHT would be unconstitutional under UK law.
James Lincoln says
Well said, mortimer,
Banning criticism of Islam is tantamount to endorsement.
And the people that you cannot criticize are your masters.
Let’s all think about that…

This is absurd on too many levels to comprehend! PM May has allowed the unfettered immigration of Muslims into England, paying them welfare and health benefits, etc , creating no- go zones, crimes of rape and murder are rampant, churches and Christians and Jews attacked, destruction and terrorist attacks on a daily basis, etc etc. and yet….all PM May is concerned about is internet content! Pm Churchill would be appalled and is not resting easy today!! Seriously England ,,,,,, wake up before it’s too late!

All cultures are not equivalent and certainly not all civilized to the same extent, thus they are not all compatible with one another.
Savvy Kafir says
True, Michael. The increasingly-totalitarian British government is setting itself up for a very bloody revolution. At some point, patriotic Brits will begin doing whatever it takes to reclaim their country and their basic freedoms from the Muslim invaders and the suicidal bureaucrats who support the invasion.

Indiana Tom, by coincidence I was re-reading “Anthem” today, thanks for mentioning it. It’s not “cute”, it’s profound in its way and anathema to Muslims. Islam is inherently hostile to individual freedom. (Hard to be free when you’re banging your head on the floor and waving your butt in the air 5 times a day in submission.) Yes, that book would be considered a “threat” by a groveling dhimmi like Theresa May. The resurgent threat of Islam was “before Rand’s time” but I can imagine what she would have had to say (in her Russian accent!) about the fantasies and schemes of the slaves of Allah to destroy Western civilization. No doubt DhimmiMay would have barred her from the UK too..
“Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech…”. Those 10 words stand between us and the cowardly surrender of that freedom by people like DhimmiMay, and we’ve got plenty of them here in the U.S. who would just love the excuse.
James Lincoln says
And now we will have “The Regulator”.
Sounds like something from Fahrenheit 451…

Loved that book, just the technology has sort of changed. Now it is even easier to change or delete information than when it was printed.

I will probably need to cut and paste this comment a lot:
Censorship.
Coming soon to a platform near you.
This is what the future looks like. One piece at a time, for one excuse or another. But sooner or later they are coming for all platforms that speak the truth. I agree, it should not happen, it should not be possible, it should be stopped. It is wrong. It is against freedom of speech and human rights in general. But all the right reasons won’t stop it from happening because the globalists, who have much more power than all of us combined, want this. It is their Orwellian dream.
And this foreboding morsel:
“The era of self-regulation for online companies is over,” Digital Secretary Jeremy Wright said in a statement. “Voluntary actions from industry to tackle online harms have not been applied consistently or gone far enough.”…
… a portend of things to come!
In other words, no more autonomy. All must fall under one big tyrant. And according to them, all the censorship so far “has not gone far enough”. No mention that it has all been one sided and biased. Perhaps that it has not been so consistently enough… now they want to stamp out every last shred of conservative truth. Yup, storm clouds on the horizon for sure.

Rod says
It hasn’t occurred to ANY of you to ask just what the new UK “duty of care” requirements are? Isn’t that the FIRST thing an intelligent reader would want to know? Don’t you agree that posting live film of a mass murder should be prevented, or at least discouraged? You haven’t wondered why NO details which would warrant the word “censorship” are provided here for you to read?
Instead you swallow whole Mr Spencer’s edited, deliberately slanted assembly of half truths. How CAN you people be so gullible, allow yourselves to be so easily manipulated? You can find facts elsewhere if you want them.
elee says
In fact I for one and I am sure a lot of “us” don’t agree that posting a live film of a mass murder should be prevented. Courageous men and women died in Europe a lifetime ago trying to bring the world pictures of Hitler’s industrial-scale inferno. I’m pretty sure the same thing happened for people who tried to document Stalin’s filthy work. In my youth a picture of a Vietnamese child burned by napalm brought home to our nation what our government was doing, which was very much our business as citizens of a democracy. And I don’t believe we should censor ISIS propaganda films of decapitations of kafirs, or the incineration of the Jordanian pilot they captured. People should see and know this stuff. I don’t believe we should be shielded from anyone’s evil. Informed choices about anything begin with becoming informed, even if it’s uncomfortable. Those who prefer pablum can certainly find lots of media that cater to their tastes. So if you don’t like Mr. Spencer’s media excerpts, show me where it says it ain’t so. I keep throwing that challenge and I’m still waiting for some examples.
Rod says
So you’re quite content to be told it is censorship, even though it isn’t, and you’ve been given no evidence that it is. OK. But don’t pretend to be well informed.
Hitler and Stalin thrived on people like you.
James C. says
Some kinds of censorship are entirely legitimate. The seemingly universal liberal consensus that all censorship, of all kinds, is in all circumstances totally bad, needs to be questioned. And seeing as how most more or less regular posters on this sight are opposed to Islam, their position implies a rejection of the legitimacy of propagating Islam – IOW, it implies agreement with censorship of propagation of Islam.
There are Terms Of Service on most or all boards – which, however mild, are in effect a kind of censorship, because they limit what can be said. Those of us who favour some sorts of censorship instead of totally unlimited free speech in all its forms no matter what, are merely a bit more consistent than most of the posters on this thread.

May is a genuine fascist. She was the most authoritarian Home Secretary since Castlereagh was Secretary for Ireland. She will leave quite a legacy, chiefly the destruction of the Tory Party.
