The Minneapolis police are still reeling from the fallout after Mohamed Noor, the first Muslim Somali police officer on the force, shot and killed a woman who had called the police to report a possible rape.
Now the Boston cops appear to be dealing with their own ‘first’ fallout.
The first Muslim promoted to the rank of captain in the Boston Police Department was placed on administrative leave Monday — and the department is not explaining why.
Captain Haseeb Hosein has been the commander of the Area B-3 station that covers Mattapan and parts of Dorchester since 2014. … Hosein was promoted by former commissioner William B. Evans.
“This promotion speaks to the promise both Mayor Walsh and Commissioner Evans made to diversify the BPD’s Command Staff . . . We wish Haseeb . . . nothing but the best of success in his new position!”
It’s always about the diversity. Never about the competence.
Sergeant Detective John Boyle, the department’s chief spokesman, confirmed that Hosein was placed on administrative leave with pay Monday. He said Hosein is under investigation by the department’s Internal Affairs Unit.
The Globe reported in February that Hosein was the city’s highest paid employee, earning $366,232 in 2018. That total included $106,980 in detail pay, $62,696 in overtime pay, and regular pay of $146,893.
It’s odd that someone who was promoted not all that long ago was the highest paid employee in Boston.
According to a more recent report, he made almost $400,000.
It might be curious if the two were connected. Boston cops and the union are stonewalling questions about the Hosein investigation. That can provide cover for political pressure to be applied behind the scenes on the investigators looking into the diversity hire.
Hossein’s profile appears on “Boston stands with immigrants” where he claims that, “As an immigrant I am a living example of the greatness of this country.”
On his Twitter account, he tweets a story about the, “First Muslim police Captain in Boston working to educate people about his religion and unite community”.
Emilie Green says
“Hosein was promoted by former commissioner William B. Evans”
Evans, a wimp by any definition, was so easily pushed around by the PC police.
christianblood says
Was he plotting an islamic jihad attack?
gravenimage says
No–if he had been plotting a Jihad terror attack, Hosein would not be on administrative leave, but under arrest. It is more likely some financial or administrative malfeasance, or perhaps some kind of gross ineptitude.
Of course, christianblood must knows this.
Carolyne says
IMO if he had been plotting jihad he would have been given a medal and offers of help.
gravenimage says
Carolyne, things are not so far gone in Boston that they authorities there are lauding violent JIhad.

Frederick King says
That is a possibility. Making them “pray” in his office, in front of him ? This is not on the internet news.

This is also possible.
DirkaDirka says
Once a person hits the level of Lieutenant or Captain, they are typically management and as such are salaried employees, not eligible for overtime, unless there is a specific agreement that they can make OT. I’m guessing it was mostly financial malfeasance, with a dash of who knows what thrown in on the side.
SweetOlBob says
Sounds like Evans, who should have been a competent executive, was turned into a muslim pandering putz ! Also seems like the mistake was carried on, compounded and inflated by those that followed him.

Tell that to the family of the innocent lady murdered by the first somali officer in Mpls. He was “failed”, or did not pass the required police academy in a satisfactory manner and this was told to Mpls left leaning city mgmt. In the name of diversity he was pushed through, knowing he was not mentally ready for the force. This is why the $20 million dollar settlement went through in less than 24 hours from a guilty verdict.

“First Muslim police Captain in Boston working to educate people about his religion and unite community”.
That isn’t his job. His job is to uphold law and order WITHOUT any strings – religious or political – attached.. The people who are supposed to be educating about religious matters are priests and imams, and it’s up to the politicians to unite communities. The sooner Boston gets rid of this character, the better.

If you pander to, and promote a muslim, your reputation goes the opposite way ! That warm feeling you get for being multi-cultural, is the filthy muslim peeing on your leg.

So he was going around educating people about his religion on the city’s dime. Can you imagine the outrage if a Christian or a Jew was spending the city’s money going around trying to convert citizens to their religion at those citizens’ expense? Add to that the fact he was a police officer and you have the unspoken threat of force. If you have basically three different religions in a community and you want to “unite the community”, of those three religions, which two have to go?
Warren Raymond says
“working to educate people about his religion and unite community”- translation: doing daawa and bring unbelievers to convert to Islam.

“Educating people about his religion” has NOTHING whatsoever to do with his job. N O T H I N G !
Why on earth was he even permitted to state this in the first place ??
Why do we constantly see Moslems getting special privileges ? Enough already !!
Frank Riley says
Fear and appeasement of Islam.
Magyar No says
The reason Muslims get special privileges is because people in management are falling over on each other who is more politically correct and promotes minority. Gone are the times when ABILITY was a reason to be promoted. Now your skin color your religion are the determining factor. Very sad. If this continues our country is going down the drain. Because what good is it what religion are you when it comes to governing a company, or a city?

Any political appeasement o a filthy muslim marks you forever as a grasping, pandering, putz. One who always put political influence before sworn duty.

Lilith Wept says
Jayell, I totally agree. But anytime they put a under qualified or not qualified Moslem in a position, they say this. It’s like they are trying to prove to us conservatives and people who actually understand Islam, that moslems can be peaceful, can assimilate into American society…They are trying to prove that not all moslems are terrorists, and that a Moslem can do any job just as well as a non Moslem can….
It really bothers me that moslems are getting appointed to these kinds of positions….and it’s not just because they aren’t properly qualified and will botch the job ( and someone innocent dies as in the Noor case.
I have been studying Islam for quite some time and I understand that moslems are commanded to do whatever it takes , fight or immigrate, in order that all countries become Islamic countries and all people convert to Islam.
I am also a student of history, and it’s just as Dr. Bill Warner says, when Islam enters a country, given suffice time, then that country becomes an Islamic country.
And I see moslems getting appointed to positions of power, influence and authority so to further this Islamification of America that I see well on its way. These moslems will help and support other moslems to get appointed to these kinds of positions, and help further the spread of Islam even more…..a cycle. Until it reaches the inevitable conclusion, and America ceases to exist.
No it’s not going to happen in the next 10 years, but it will happen if something isn’t done to stop it. Just look at history….all the countries that were formerly Christian and Jewish ain the Middle East, that are now Isla ic countries with no Jews and very few Christians……it took a long time but Islam took those countries over……
Now having said that, I do understand that there are a few moslems that are moslems in name only ……but my question is, how can we tell the difference between those moslems , and moslems who are practicing taqyyia and want to spread Islam………And considering how violent and totalitarian the ideology of Islam is, how can we take any chances?
gravenimage says
Fine post.
joanofark06 says
Exactly! It’s so common sense, in an perfect package.
Marilyn Griffin says
And, especially how can we tell the difference since the so-called “Muslim in name only’ NEVER speaks up to condemn their terrible acts and practices. All Muslims are NOT radical violent terriorist, but, obviously, all muslims follow the tenets of Islam.

I’ve seen this before. It is rather compelling evidence that the true creatures are muslims.
Dawne says
Yes @Lilith Wept – this is the problem. Even IF a Muslim is promoted by virtue of being qualified and experienced enough for the position, they are bound by their religion to favour fellow Muslims and to promote their faith by force if necessary. There is no good outcome with Muslims in authority, even if they are competent.
eduardo odraude says
Even though many Muslims are only nominal, the leadership is almost always totalitarian in long term intent. And the nominal Muslims tend to conform to social pressures. As long as Muslims remain a small minority of a population, the social pressures lead toward real assimilation to the majority culture. But if the Muslim population grows beyond a certain size, Muslim leadership grows able to exert strong social pressures on the rank-and-file Muslims. As a rule, the larger the Muslim percentage of the population grows, the more likely it is that speech and religion become less free and the social ethos starts to become more Islamic and authoritarian.
abad says
I have said it before and will say it again…no Moslem should be appointed as law enforcement officer in the United States of America. None. We do NOT want some Jihadi Police(TM Pending) starting on non-Moslem American-born citizens. That is a HUGE no-no.

revereridesagain says
He got promoted to captain about a year and a half after two of his brother slaves of Allah killed and maimed Boston Marathon watchers and murdered a police officer across the river in Cambridge. The Boston politicians, which included now former commissioners Evans, yell “how high?” every time the Islamic Society of Boston says “jump!” so that was hardly surprising. But Evans retired last August. Perhaps some things have changed under Commissioner Gross, who replaced Evans.
This should be interesting.
CRUSADER says
Interesting about Evans…
————————————
Evans ran the 2013 Boston Marathon and was at the Boston Athletic Club when he was informed by an officer that two bombs went off. Evans returned home for his uniform and then went to the temporary command post at the Westin Hotel. There, he and Commissioner Edward F. Davis designed a plan of action, which Evans took to the streets to implement. Under Evans, the department secured a perimeter around a 20-block radius, swept the scene for secondary devices, and began processing the evidence.
When President Barack Obama came to Boston to attend an interfaith service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Evans and his team were responsible for securing the area. They developed a plan to get the President and First Lady in and out of the five different hospitals they visited.
Evans also played a role in the manhunt and capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. He helped secure the area of the Watertown shootout, process the crime scene, and evacuate nearby houses, as there were live explosives on the scene. He remained in Watertown during the manhunt and stayed even after Governor Deval Patrick lifted the shelter-in-place order. After the 911 call reporting Tsarnaev’s location came in, Evans, two BPD Lieutenants, and a Watertown Police Officer were the first officers at the scene. Evans took control of the scene and was the incident commander during the standoff with Tsarnaev. Shots rang out at one point during the standoff and Evans commanded the officers to hold their fire, as he wanted to take Tsarnaev alive for information. After talking with an FBI negotiation team, Tsarnaev surrendered to authorities

American leftists are desperate to show that it makes no difference what religion, color or belief system people have, as soon as they get to America or Europe they will agree that leftism is the future, it is the only logical thinking process, and multiculturalism and equality will soon consume the world. To bad reality is constantly contradicting them. Not that reality is necessarily enough to change the policies of the left, especially when delusion, censorship and lying is still available, and security is good enough to stay in delusion, as well as the standard of living being high enough not to need to demand answers above the typical demands for more handouts.
Thank G-d, that He has created the laws of economics, the laws of conflict and war, and every other law that will continue to rip apart the ignorance, silence and lifestyle of the left, until the conversation is impossible to ignore. They also have the reality of half of America, the vast majority of white males who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the economy and security situation, and national defense, are all republican voters of the spirit that specifically offends the left. The left can either lock them up or boycott them, assuming they are able, but the results will be disastrous and lead to the American people consenting to locking up the left, their violent members and their advocates for fascism. Just like the bible and many movies predict. In G-d I trust.

That’s a lot of money for his position. Something’s not right about that. Then he says he’s about educating about his religion and uniting the community, but that’s not a police job. Police should know about the communities they work in and get to know people but they’re not in the uniting business and educating about his religion like he’s a policevangelist could lead to a bias problem. Police have no business educating people on the job unless he means that he does that in his spare time.
I repeatedly say this, hiring someone because of their religion is as bad as not hiring someone because of their race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, or a disability that can be accommodated. This is like religious affirmative action and it’s wrong to do. I wonder how many businesses have lost out on better employees because of this.
We have a secular government so this accommodating religion rubs me the wrong way. Perhaps we should have an atheist president. Good luck, religious people of all stripes gang up on atheists.

Just curious. Is it in Islamic sharia law or somewhere in the scripture or only in some Muslims attitudes that raped women should be put to death. I’m not suggesting anything about incident, but there is dots to connect if you like some good old slander around.
gravenimage says
It is definitely considered the woman’s fault if she is raped. And since rape cannot be “proven” in Islam unless there are four adult male Muslims to swear that it was not consensual on the woman’s part, then if she reports the rape she is considered to be guilty of “Zina”–unlawful sex outside of marriage. She can then be put to death.
Here is one particularly horrifying case:
“Amnesty International: ‘Woman’ stoned to death in Somalia was 13-year-old rape victim”

It is multiculti baby. We need to inform people about our cultures. If Muslim police chief doesn’t promote his law abiding version on Islam, who does? Hosein was caught padding his hours, inflating his overtime and working unauthorized details back in 2007. When caught red-handed, he filed a discrimination complaint against the BPD. He claimed he was being discriminated against for being a Muslim.
Years later, he makes Captain and rakes in the serious dough.
Now he’s on administrative leave once again and the public is being shielded from the details. Where’s the transparency?
This is a most disturbing case. As a resident of Massachusetts, I’m ashamed and bewildered by this. We were warned multiple times about the brothers Tsarneav. We allow seven Muslim trespassers at the Quabbin walk free mere weeks after the marathon bombing.
Furthermore, the FBI refuses to answer inquiries regarding their undercover agent’s role in Garland, TX. Officer Mohamed Noor murders an innocent pajama-clad woman concerned about a possible sexual assault in an alleyway behind her home.
I see a pattern.
And I don’t like it.
So yeah…I would be most interested to learn if there is a video depicting Haseeb Hosein being inappropriate with children.

3 police lieutenants are cited for alleged detail abuses
By David Abel, Globe Staff | August 23, 2007
Three Boston police lieutenants are together facing hundreds of disciplinary charges after an internal investigation concluded that the highly paid officers persistently abused the department’s paid-detail system, police officials said yesterday.
The internal audit of shifts worked in 2005 concluded that Lieutenants Haseeb Hosein, Timothy Kervin, and Ghassoub Frangie engaged in untruthful reporting of hours, performed details that conflicted with a scheduled tour of duty, and received details through unauthorized means. Hosein and Kervin were also cited with breaking the law, but officials did not provide details on the alleged infractions.
The charges were announced less than a week after police cited Sergeant Jacqueline Creaven with 119 disciplinary violations by allegedly abusing the same system.
In 2005, the lieutenants earned much more than their base salaries of about $75,000. Kervin earned $237,272.34, more than any other city official that year; Hosein made $228,807.33; and Frangie took home $171,916.94, according to city records. In the same year, Mayor Thomas M. Menino earned $150,000 and Kathleen M. O’Toole, then the police commissioner, made $160,000.
Elaine Driscoll, a police spokeswoman, said police will decide in coming weeks whether to file criminal charges against any of the officers.
In a phone interview, Sergeant Mark Parolin, vice president of the Boston Police Superior Officers Federation, defended the officers.
“We believe the charges are trumped up, and we’ll fight it through every legal process that we can,” Parolin said. “We haven’t had a trial board yet. If these charges are true, why did they let it get this far? Why didn’t they do something then?”
He said Hosein, who is Muslim, has filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Hosein declined to comment, and Parolin said neither he nor the other officers would answer questions.
On Tuesday, Creaven, a South End patrol supervisor accused of lying about the hours she worked and making side deals with outside vendors who hired her to monitor their premises and construction sites, filed a lawsuit against the Police Department in Suffolk Superior Court. The 16-year veteran contends she is a victim of gender discrimination and says she is being punished for airing internal grievances.
“These adverse actions are the direct result of [Creaven’s] attempt to bring to light important concerns about sex discrimination, disparate treatment, and selective enforcement within the department, and defendants’ retaliation against plaintiff for bringing these issues to light is blatantly unlawful,” her complaint says.
Driscoll declined to comment on the complaints filed by Hosein and Creaven.
The lieutenants, all of whom have surrendered their weapons, will join Creaven on desk duty until police Commissioner Edward F. Davis decides on the appropriate action, officials said. For the time being, none will be allowed to do paid details.
“Prior to my appointment as police commissioner, the Boston Police Department had been proactively and diligently working to uncover what is clearly a scheme involving the detail system,” Davis said in a statement.
“Such behavior will not be tolerated by this department, and we will continue to be proactive in our efforts to prevent, uncover, and when necessary, discipline for actions unbecoming and inappropriate.”
The investigators accused Hosein, a 19-year veteran, of 203 violations that include 80 counts of inaccurate reporting on a detail card, 16 counts of receiving details outside the system, 24 counts of accepting a detail scheduled during his regular patrol shifts, and one count of breaking the law and conduct unbecoming an officer.
Kervin, a 20-year veteran, was charged with 191 violations that include 68 counts of inaccurate reporting on a detail card, 46 counts of receiving details outside the system, six counts of accepting a detail scheduled during his regular patrol shifts, and one count each of breaking the law and conduct unbecoming of an officer.
Frangie, a 29-year veteran, was charged with 84 violations that include 34 counts of inaccurate reporting on a detail card, 10 counts of accepting a detail scheduled during his regular patrol shifts, three counts of receiving details outside the system, and two counts of conduct unbecoming an officer.

In other news… I walked into my first southern California CostCo today… and what did I see? Muslim men with their black burqa clad women in tow… shopping within. That is right… not a single other “westerner” looking person within save for three young, college age, Jewish lads. We were outnumbered by Muslims and not in a good way. Democratic Party should be outlawed for being a terrorist organization.

Leftists hate Christianity because they say Christians are intolerant, but they fall all over themselves adoring Islam, whose followers stone women to death for adultery and throw gays from buildings.
