Muslim advocacy group lashes out at Texas Agriculture Commissioner over comments about Ilhan Omar

May 18, 2019 1:00 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams

After Texas “Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller called on Austin Mayor Steve Adler not to attend a Ramadan event headlined by U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, the group hosting this weekend’s dinner fired back.”

‘Hate has no home here, Sana Shahid of Emgage, a Muslim American advocacy group, said…adding that Miller’s “immoral” comments “do not reflect the views of everyday Texans.”

Once again, CAIR resorts to one of its simple emotion-generating buzz words: “hate” which is completely inappropriate in this case. Politically charged words are routinely employed by CAIR leaders who warp and manipulate them to make it look as though Muslims are victimized without cause—just for being Muslim. Miller is not promoting hate; neither are most Americans who oppose the likes of Ilhan Omar, her crony Rashida Tlaib and Hamas-linked CAIR. Hamas is a truly hateful Muslim Brotherhood group that promotes intolerance, hate, violence and murder against Jews and Zionists. Ilhan Omar supports CAIR’s views and should be called out for it. She hosted a fundraiser for CAIR.

Miller rightly stated:

“It’s not inclusive to have a keynote speaker at a dinner who has repeatedly attacked the Jewish faith and its adherents…..Mayor Adler should help Austin stay true to its roots and use this opportunity as a teaching moment for Muslims, Jews, Christians and those of other faiths to come and break bread together in the spirit of unity and love, not hate.”

This  expresses the true spirit of unity, not hate as Miller was wrongly accused of spreading.

“Muslims decry Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar”, by Sami Sparber, Houston Chronicle, May 16, 2019:

After Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller called on Austin Mayor Steve Adler not to attend a Ramadan event headlined by U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, the group hosting this weekend’s dinner fired back.

“Hate has no home here,” Sana Shahid of Emgage, a Muslim American advocacy group, said in a statement Thursday morning, adding that Miller’s “immoral” comments “do not reflect the views of everyday Texans.”

Omar, D-Minnesota, is the keynote speaker Saturday night at the Annual Austin Citywide Iftar Dinner, a ceremonial meal to break the fast during Ramadan. Adler, who has attended each of the previous city-wide Iftars, is the guest of honor.

In November, Omar made history when she and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Michigan, became the first Muslim women elected to Congress. Since then, Omar has stirred controversy with comments seen as anti-Semitic and remarks viewed as dismissive of the 9/11 attacks.

Omar’s critics accuse her of playing into anti-Semitic stereotypes when criticizing Israel and its supporters. On Tuesday, Miller called on Adler, who is Jewish, to stay home and suggested replacing Omar’s participation with Jewish community leaders.

“It’s not inclusive to have a keynote speaker at a dinner who has repeatedly attacked the Jewish faith and its adherents,” Miller said in a statement. “Mayor Adler should help Austin stay true to its roots and use this opportunity as a teaching moment for Muslims, Jews, Christians and those of other faiths to come and break bread together in the spirit of unity and love, not hate.”

On Wednesday, Adler confirmed he will attend the event…..

Yes. Islam has DOUBLE STANDARDS. Muslims are commanded to HATE KAFIRS ‘for the sake of Allah’, but no one may criticize Islam’s HATEFUL TEACHINGS: “AL WALAA WAL BARAA” (comradeship and disassociation=Islamic Apartheid).

Is ISLAMIC APARTHEID lovey-dovey? No, it is not. Al Walaa wal Baraa is a doctrine of HATE directed from Muslims against the dirty kufaar … and it is NOT optional.

No self respecting American should set foot in any event with the islamist omar there. She is truly a supremacist. Somalia was a major player in the muslim slave trade. They ae a very supremacist culture. Somalia is the third most dangerous place on earth for christians. Pakistan is number five. There are no jews in Somalia. They traded slaves there openly into the 1930’s. they “made” sex slaves. Young girls were captured, mostly black africans. They were FGM’ed. then they often sewed up their vaginans. More valuable as virgin slaves. They also made male eunuchs. This is what somali society was based on from the beginning. Read Wikipedia, slavery in somalia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_Somalia

Vladimir utters threatening words while the ummah progresses and flourishes. The Russian federation is becoming more and more dimmified going from 7% of the Russian population onwards to 10% muslim. No adherent of the Koran can reasonably accuse anyone of “hate,” or even prejudice as we all know the text is overflowing with it. Reason indicates her concern, then, is not with hate at all but with something else–and we know that is an agenda of Islam. We’re wise to you, Shahid. Hint: We even know what “shahid” means and how Palestine, for instance, honors them.

    Problems are:

    1. Christians cannot participate in a holiday from a false religion. Refraining from this is not ‘hate’ but loyalty to God.

    2. Christians have no fellowship with non Christians, so we can’t ‘break bread’ together. We have no unity to begin with. We can attend a meeting (as long as the purpose of the meeting is okay) and sometimes be friends with non Christians or share a meal as the Bible says, but that is not fellowship. Christian fellowship is special because we are united into one body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.

    3. In the end (now) the push will increase for ‘oneness’ of religion, government, the economy, ecumenism in church, race, gender, etc. Embracing sin under the disguise of love, the war on truth, and buzz words like: inclusion, tolerance, unity, brotherhood, love, world peace, harmony, etc. will be used to usher people into the desired position. Also words like: discrimination, bigotry, hate, hater, hate speech, homophobia, islamophobia, etc. to push from the other end are being used. As Christians, we are not ‘one’ with any of this. The one world tyranny will be under the antichrist. We are not a part of it. We are one with Christ. You can’t have both worlds. You will embrace one and resist the other.

    • Wellington says

Per your own words, Lydia, “Christians have no fellowship with non Christians….”

Really, you want no fellowship with Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, agnostics, atheists, et al.—-none of whom pose a threat to liberty in this world and all of whom, along with Christians, are threatened by the one religion which seeks to dominate the entire earth. And you want no fellowship with such folks? None? Truly?

What the hell are you thinking? Can you not for once think outside the box and realize that unity among ALL non-Muslims is imperative in order to defeat the one major faith which is evil to its core? Your approach only helps to divide any anti-Islam coalition—and this is highly foolish—and you know this or should know this. Sadly, you still don’t.

I’ll put it to you more plainly: Your version of Christianity is stupid and extremely limited and if Jesus is in accord with you, then shame on Him also.

Damn dangerous is your “approach.”. Reconsider (but you won’t, will you?). Clowns to the left of me and jokers to the right. You come to mind here somehow.

There is fellowship among people in the temporal sense, sharing what is material and an emotive psychological “spirit of connection”….

Then, there is Fellowship which is of the eternal sense, which is everlasting, and centered around the Godhead, not around what people perceive is “common”, yet which does not last — no matter how old the school ties or how deep time spend in the foxhole together may seem.

        May 18, 2019 at 7:41 pm

CRUSADER: Do you really think “Lydia” with her posts is adequately distinguishing between these two?

Imagine you’re a Hindu, Jew, agnostic, et al., reading Lydia’s 5:33 P.M. post, do you really want to argue what you just have? Really?

Frankly, I am tired of the “eternal life stuff.” There is no evidence for it. None. Let me repeat that, NONE!. It is all made up and all religions put forth extraordinary claims with no extraordinary evidence, contra science and philosophy. Do you really believe, CRUSADER, that Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, all the Roman soldiers who manned Hadrian’s Wall in the second, third and fourth centuries, all the Chinese by the hundreds of millions who lived and died throughout the centuries, ditto for all the many hundreds of millions of Hindus who lived and died over the centuries, the many millions of American Indians who lived and died even before 1492, et al. still exist somewhere? What is your evidence? Religious literature? Is this all you got?

ALL religious literature is tendentious and proves nothing except man’s gullibility. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Faith doesn’t “cut it.” Oh, I am ready to cut all major religions except Islam respect for their ethics (particularly Judaism and Christianity which place such a noble importance on the dignity and worth of the individual and thus work optimally with democratic tenets), but enough already with religious claims which require faith (or else) which philosophy and science never require.

Methinks religion doth protest too much. Exceedingly and even obnoxiously so. Yes indeed, stunning and instructive how all religions, including (and especially) in theory, none more so than Islam, must use fear to compel acceptance. Science and philosophy don’t work this way. Kudos to them for this. Shame on religion for this because doubt of a proposition, whether religious, philosophical or scientific, only addresses the best part of human nature and not its worst. Sadly, religion, virtually all religion, misses this, indeed condemns it—on pain of one’s immortal soul, blah, blah, blah.

If there is a little schism between Lydia Church, maybe Crusader too, and you Wellington, I stand wholeheartedly at your side. With your eloquent reasoning with which I completely agree. However I want to spare the feelings of Christians.

Because in answering Lydia you made another eminent point IMO that we should cooperate among religions and atheists against the aggressive dictatorial Islam.

And you made also the terrific point to acknowledge the good moral contributions Judaism and Christianity made in history.

So, let Jews, Christians, the other religions and Atheists be pragmatic and cooperate against Islam and for the Western Democratic system (which allows peaceful coexistence) despite the profound differences between them. For anti-democratic Islam would if it could “devour” them all, as is amply proven in history.

In view of the timeline of religions and political systems; Islam was born before full blown democratic political system. And so let the other religions and atheism show their progress in adopting this system while Islam remains in the dictatorial past. Or so I see the big struggle.

Julius Caesar, as pontifex maximus had a view to the eternal.
As to where his soul departed upon his body’s burning, that
was determined at the weigh station of the spirit… j.c. had a
lot to account for in front of the bigger JC.

Let’s say that after we all pull together — Islam as an ideology
gets defeated…. then what? What’s the bigger picture?

Why does the Eternal / Spirit World have to fit into our human
sized viewpoint on the universe? Are we all that smart?
Are we so arrogant? Are we so ignorant?

    Christian Fellowship = Christian Companionship

(“Where two or more are gathered”, Christ is there among them.)

Christian fellowship occurs when two or more Christians are in one another’s company. The dictionary defines fellowship as “friendly association with others; companionship.” Christian fellowship, then, involves friendly association with other Christians. It means you choose Christians to be your companions.

Christian Fellowship – What Does it Mean for Me?

Christian fellowship begins through a process of adoption. Are you a Christian today? If you are, you have been adopted by God. You may have heard it said that we are all God’s children, but the truth is, we don’t become God’s children until we are adopted, through faith in Christ.

If we were all God’s children by virtue of being His creation, then adoption wouldn’t be necessary. Ask any parents of adopted children and they’ll tell you the process is long, hard and painful! Why would God choose adoption if we were already His children? Because God longs to have you as His child, He sacrificed Himself, in the person of Jesus Christ, on the cross in order to purchase your salvation.

So if you’ve received Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, congratulations! You are now a member of God’s family.

    EmgageUSA.org

Website has lots of smiling youthful Muslims on it’s team page…..
    …. you know the type: “All-Americans” !

This is what EMGAGE says about itself:

    ”

We understand the importance of bridging the gap between elected officials and their constituents. We strive to build the political awareness and capacity of Muslim Americans to engage on key policy issues that affect all of us as Americans, but especially as Muslims.

Are you concerned by the Muslim Ban? Do you feel that our elected officials are not always well informed about our community?

Bringing the change we need requires proactive and consistent civic participation. Engagement requires an understanding of the political process, how to engage with elected officials, and how to form partnerships with other constituencies in support of common policy positions.

Emgage is a 501c(3) that implements an ecosystem of programs to develop the capacity of the Muslim voter to ensure that our narrative is part of the American fabric. Our programs include civic educational events such as issue forums and town halls, voter initiatives including Get Out The Vote (GOTV), and specific programs for the youth in order to mentor and support the next generation of leaders.

    ”

    NOTE: Operatives words: “…change we need…” and “…next generation…”

Wish there were more brave and intelligent women like Christine Douglas -Williams, Hirsi Ali and Yasmine Mohammed. Yasmine came from being covered head to toe, marrying an al qaeda sleeper to being an apostate. Check her out below in this two -part interview.
