A new “populist” political candidate in Denmark has taken the conversation about Muslim immigration by storm. In this brow-raising political debate below, 37 year old Rasmus Paludan addresses the “Great replacement” (Jihad by immigration) unabashedly. Paludan, a lawyer, leads the political party “Stram Kurs ” that he founded in 2017.
The General elections in Denmark are in June, while elections to the EU parliament are in the last week of this month.
Paludan has taken the public discourse about Islam to levels unseen in the political square, which include his many antics like burning the Quran, wrapping it in bacon and leading demonstrations which have turned into violent riots. He has advocated the expulsion of all Muslims who “believe they can decide what the limit of freedom of expression should be”, despite being quoted as stating that all Muslims should be expelled.
Paludan has stated:
“I am one of the most endangered people in Denmark,” says Rasmus Paludan, when we entered his secured office, where folders with criminal cases stand side by side with books about Islam’s invasion of the West.
No matter how offensive Paludan’s antics may be, of which any Westerner is within his or her rights to condemn on personal grounds– as with offences against Christianity, Judaism and other religions–the violent reactions to Paludan send the message that one religion alone stands above all others and must not be criticized without threats of violence and attempted “executions”.
Recently, Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache alluded to the impact of mass migration and demographic changes on the country, saying his party would fight against ‘population exchange’”. French Archbishop of Strasbourg Luc Ravel also spoke of the term’s concept in reference to a demographic shift, saying, “Muslim believers know very well that their birthrate is such that today, they call it … the Great Replacement, they tell you in a very calm, very positive way that, ‘one day all this, it will be ours’.”

Here’s to Rasmus Paludan !!!!
So right he’s got to be one of the most endangered men in Denmark!! Why would he not be (endangered) when he so bravely speaks truth to those who have no understanding of it & who pander to a ruthless religion that leads the battle against the West by blowing up her people / or ramming them with heavy duty vehicles / or raping or feeling up young Western girls / or flying airliners into buildings (including the Pentagon).
When are these idiot so-called “liberals” going to get with the plot (I use the word “plot” very literally) ? How can they be so unbearably stupid ? Is it because they haven’t +yet+ lost a relative to a suicide bomber or a truck rammer or a suicidal pilot ??? Well then I say the sooner they experience such pain and loss the better for the free world. Although I shall always feel for the victims, no matter their idiot relatives who pave their way to hell…
Anyone who speaks +truth+ about “the religion of peace” (islam) in a democratic country these days has to belong to an endangered minority group.
I dare not speak out where I live…. so where has freedom of speech gone ????? I ask with tears in my eyes !!!! Where has it gone ???
Why do so many of us have to dumb down to remain untargeted in the West, but these islamic fiends/devils and western leftist clowns can say and do as they please.
Western leftists/politicians/leaders are stoking up a fire of hell on earth. While those of us who see reality for what it is continue to remain passive… myself included, though I seeth wth frustration inwardly !!!!
Here’s to Robert and Team who deal with reality so courageously as they face Screwtape and his minions.
God help us !
That is a deep prayer to the ~living~ God !

Yes, he would be, but the government of the UK has done everything to keep those who should actually be in jail, those who aid and abed the Islamic violence against British citizens not only out of jail but on the dole. Strange, isn’t it?
Kessler says
I admire his courage and determination, but he is doing more damage than good.
As a fellow dane, I have been following his rise and the reactions.
In Denmark we have a party called Dansk Folkeparti. It’s what the media and opponents (probably same thing) refer to as “right-wing”, but all they do to get this label is pushing for a stronger immigration policy. And they have done so with great success. To the point where the socialist party had to adopt some of their policies to gain support. So we were doing just fine until Paludan came along.
Problem now is that this guy will attract some of the votes which would have gone to Dansk Folkeparti. He is hurting them at a time when they desperately need support. Election coming up next month.
Secondly, Paludan makes the mistake of attacking muslims rather than Islam. Robert Spencer and other freedom fighters would agree this is a mistake on many levels. There are muslims who idenfify themselves with their religion but do not practice it – like my Iranian girlfriend. They are cultural muslims and can be considered moderate. Paludan does not care and fails to argue convincingly when presented with this question.
The left is now using him as the face of everyone who dares to criticise islam. He is hurting the path we were on towards open conversation about Islam, as we are all lumped in the same boat as him.
fred says
You are making a mistake….this is the Trojan horse, wake up you should be thanking God for men like Paludan. You do not have an open conversation with a rattlesnake!

Kessler says
So do you consider Robert Spencer wrong when his critique is aimed at Islam not muslims in general?
XVO says
Muslims are by definition people that believe in Islam. If they want to convert to atheism or Christianity (a crime punishable by death according to Islam) then they are welcome to do so and no longer be Muslims.
Leslie Fish says
Go, Paludan! THROW THE BUMS OUT!!! …And notice how Black civil rights in the US really took off when Malcolm X appeared on the political scene, making Dr. Martin Luther King look “moderate”.
Kesselman says
Unless you are a self-hating white person of leftist persuasion the future seems bleak. The Moslems are openly bragging of “nation-building” – not in their homelands – but in the very center of Europe. Denmark is a small country with only around six million indigenous Danes. They can easily be replaced by potent and aggressive invaders from the MENA-countries.

Tom says
With 1.6 billion followers throughout the world it doesn’t seem possible that Islam will be going anywhere any time soon. What is needed is a reformation within Islam itself.
Considering that the vast majority of those who follow Islam in its current, violent form, are in third world countries, and living within societies that are dominated by the Islamic Sharia, such a reformation seems unlikely at best, and probably impossible.
The only way that the scourge of Islam and its cult like followers can be prevented from taking over western societies and imposing their Sharia Law is for the governments of the west to demand suppression of the growth of Islam in the west.
The only way to achieve such a goal is for politics to swing to the right of centre in the west and for right wing governments to be elected.
Those elections of change are going on as we speak and the pendulum is beginning to swing just past the centre and toward the right. The EU elections will show just how much the people of Europe want change to occur.
Those who are afraid of change that protects our way of life and ensures that western societal and democratic institutions continue in the west remain dominant will be cast aside by the people and populists governments will be swept into office with the direct intent of combatting the rise of Islam in the west.
Do not underestimate the power of our democratic right to vote for those who have our best interest at heart.
But beware those who would take us beyond what is reasonable in dealing with the threat of Islam, and into the realm of open warfare.
Terry Gain says
Open warfare can be avoided by a ban on further Muslim immigration. Muslims who are already here should have the protection of our laws, but conquest is not a human right. Islam will never reform but enlightened people will leave Islam if laws against apostasy are abolished. The number of Muslims is grossly exaggerated. There are lots of non-practicing Muslims in Muslim countries where it is unsafe to declare one’s apostasy.

They’ve got a long way to go on any “reformation.” They tied themselves in a number of theological knots back in the Middle Ages, you know, that purported Golden Age, in the time of Alfred the Great and Charlemagne. There were atrocities against one or another sort of heretics in the west in those ages, but we never abolished that old Socratic stuff about reasoning together. In Islam the way of settling disputes, theological or otherwise, has always been the sword, and they decreed that it would remain so and “innovators” would die. Long story short, the West finally looked at the havoc of the Thirty Years War and reasoned that anything would be preferable……a conclusion not permitted in Muslim culture. That was half a millennium ago, and they haven’t got any keener on reasoning together since that time, they’re still happily blowing each other up and us too. They’ve got to join the 10th or 13th or 17th centuries before they can become “Mecca Muslims,” discover the freedom to find resonance in some verses and not in others, oh and maybe stop being sleepers for Satan.
Michael Poulin says
Islam cannot be reformed. Islam reformed simply devolves into Wahabism…the root of Islam is Mohammed, a twisted and violent man….
CRUSADER says
Figure that half of the Muslims are “secular”.
Not sure what “secular” Muslims are. Just caught up in Arabic-primary cultural, perhaps? Otherwise, how are they Muslim?
“Reform” Islam? How? Most reformists are either pluralistic (Irshad Manji for example)
or they are hard core conservative traditionalist (salafist/islamist) — former cherry picks their religion… latter returns to the fundamentals of the FULL Koran (which is perfect and inalterable) ….
If Muslims want to remain as believers in monotheism, they can stay with some familiarity by converting either to Judaism or to Christianity. This worked for Mark Gabriel, a former imam.
Remember, as Brigitte Gabriel reminds us, democracy was a method in how Islamists took control over the levers of Lebanon…. They had a different situation as much of the West, but Muslim populations are beginning to burgeon in many Western nations !
Rufolino says
It’s true, many Moslems today “can’t be bothered” with their ideology.
But tomorrow, many Moslems might well decide the (appalling) ideology is a good thing.
For example: a recent survey demonstrated that those children born in Germany to Moslem immigrants were, as a rule, markedly more devout about Islamic ideology than their parents who moved to Germany.
Westman says
“..they tell you in a very calm, very positive way that, ‘one day all this, it will be ours’.”
To quote Barak Obama, “you didn’t create that”. And, in the manner of Bill Clinton, it depends on what the meaning of “this”, is.
The central economic problem of Islam is the need for subsidy. Zakat, Ushr, Jizyah, prohibited monetary interest, and Sharia inheritance laws are wealth redistribution schemes of Islam that are compulsory and have been largely successful. We see this today in the building and staffing of European Mosques at Saudi Arabia’s expense(and indirectly by the West’s oil purchases).
It is no accident that Islamic nations, without oil deposits(free wealth), are unable to compete in the world marketplace nor are engines of development. Without interest and with compulsory inheritance, the capital formation for large-scale enterprise cannot occur and non-oil Muslim nations devolve to maintenence levels.
Here is a good explanation of why Islamic redistribution of wealth is able to persist from a Pakistani educator: http://seajbel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Distribution-Of-Income-And-Wealth-In-Islam-Dr.S.Ghiasul-Haq.pdf
Aggressive Western socialists, like Bernie Sanders, Warren, et all, should look at Islam which does the only socialism that ever, “worked”, and ask which non-oil possessing Muslim nation would be a great place for their children.
The real problem for Demark and its Muslims is that when Islam controls Denmark, “all of this” will no longer be the former, “this”.
Anjuli Pandavar says
Westman, this is a great post. Thank you. And thanks also for the link. I’ve been looking for discussion of the political economy of Islam. I’m not sure I agree about oil-rich Muslim countries being fundamentally any different to those not endowed with oil, for the simple reason that “free money” is “free money”, whether it takes the form of oil or jizya. The point is that whatever the source, once that money is in hand, it can go nowhere but be conspicuously squandered.
Countries that have industrialised and developed have done so on a fraction of the resources available to the oil-rich Muslim countries, none of which can industrialise. Even Dubai is a great big glitzy squander. So I think that oil wealth is no exception to your general point about the inability, under Islam, to turn money into capital. Even the capital for oil production comes from outside the Islamic world, as does the expertise for its extraction. But that is the point: it can only extract; its industry remains primary (or Department I, if you prefer). Of course, I’m oversimplifying for sake of brevity.
Dr Haq’s paper might prove me wrong, but as I currently understand Islamic political economy, Islamic rules about jizya (of which slavery is simply a more primitive form), riba, zakat, etc., are all designed to regulate the excesses of a tribal plunder economy. To impose Islam on any society more advanced than one based on tribal plunder is to necessarily destroy that society. The more advanced the society that is Islamised, the more catastrophic the collapse. I look forward to reading Dr Haq’s work, and thanks again for the link. I appreciate it.
Keys says
A component of Saudi (and other oil-rich Muslim countries) wealth that they may not be squandering is investment in Western countries – industry, transportation, business, banking, technology, entertainment, hotels, utilities, agriculture/food, etc. This gives them an element of control. Their contributions to universities and colleges gives them influence and positive public relations.
Financial support of hundreds of muslim groups across the world buys them political and cultural clout. Who knows what clandestine support they give to muslim military jihadists across the world ( Boco Haram has state of the art military rifles, uniforms, no job but get paid, etc.). No doubt they give out much “bribe” money, as well (Clinton Foundation, ….. )
Who knows how much money they really have (the Swiss ?), but they must have an unbelievable amount. So much that western leaders support them dispute their horrendous human rights violations. Probably over 20% of their population are foreign workers under the kafala system.
Much of this “investment” is probably not obvious, transparent, or divulged – just like their building thousands of mosques across the USA and the west. Stealth jihad paid for by for by those they hope to conquer.
gravenimage says
True, Keys–very troubling.
Anjuli Pandavar says
Oh this is very true, yes. I didn’t go into the flip-side of the coin: expenditure on jihad, as this is particular to Islam and not a feature of tribal plunder economies in general. I think I touched on this in another post a while back. At the humbler end of the scale, the PA “invests” part of its meagre resources in paying families to offer their sons up for human sacrifice. Thank you.
Keys says
Thank you for your responses, gravenimage and Anjuli Pandavar.

Islam enshrined the 6th century Arab thinking on wealth: it comes from pillage, at the point of the sword. Their economic doctrine and practice has remained there since, with as little innovation as possible. Now that white men have found oil under their sands, do Muslims accumulate capital and create domestic production of, well, anything but jihadis? Who was the Muslim ruler in early-Muslim Syria who learned that some of his former freebooters had taken to farming on their pillaged lands…….the one who correctly pointed out that this occupation was unsuitable for Muslims, Muslims don’t create wealth, they seize it? He burned their first year’s crops as a theology lesson. Oh and something you have to discover on your own ’cause you sure won’t learn it in school: when the goldsmiths of Italy and the Hansards of the north invented cooperative ways to accumulate and deploy capital, the biggest economic engine in the Three Continents was the Muslim slave markets, where Muslims imported and exported and traded captives from Europe and Africa and Asia.
Anjuli Pandavar says
elee, “6th century Arab thinking on wealth: it comes from pillage, at the point of the sword.”
—
Yes, indeed. This is one of the standard forms of economy prior to the great slave economies. It parasitises on agricultural economies either by plundering them for goods, including slaves, or by exacting tribute. With the dhimma, it partially internalises this arrangement. Islam provides the ideological cement that regulates the whole thing. Unfortunately for Muslims (this is my understanding), at that time ideology could only take the form of religion, and the idiots were shortsighted enough to claim that their religion was perfect, thereby condemning themselves to a permanent tribal plunder or pillage economy and hence permanent backwardness. Is this how you understand it, too?

I’ve always wondered at the political term “populist”. What does it mean, is there some subtle definition that we don’t know? In fact what it means is that the “populist” politician is expressing what the people want, instead of the desires or recommendations of the ruling elite or even worse academe.
As Islam becomes more obvious to people, there will be more populist politicians. That, of course, will lead to violence, both from unhappy Moslems and of course delusional Marxists (aka progressives, aka liberals). There will be murder at political rallies. In 2016 there was just the threat of violence… at Trump rallies. Look for the threat to evolve into actual acts of murder.

I’m not sure about Danish law, but the big problems would be in making Islam illegal and deporting Muslims that are there legally. All illegals and so-called refugees with “temporary” legal status should be able to be deported. Apparently, Rasmus Paludan is a lawyer and feels that these issues can be dealt with.
Outside of those two *possible* legal problems, everything else that he said was totally factual.
