Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkish President not happy his propaganda office was flattened

May 6, 2019 10:45 am By marc

The Daily Hurriyet was until recently a well respected independent newspaper. Like most media in Turkey have been taken over by the state, to hasten the demise of Ataturk’s secular Turkey and ensure Erdoğan’s presidency, the re-islamisation of Turkey and protect their friends in Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan strongly condemned an Israeli attack on AnadoluAgency office in the Gaza Strip on May 4.

“We strongly condemn Israel’s attack against Anadolu Agency’s office in Gaza,” Erdoğan said on twitter and added: “Turkey and Anadolu Agency will continue to tell the world about Israeli terrorism and atrocities in Gaza and other parts of Palestine despite such attacks.”

Anadolu Agency is a government news agency, part of the same group of state owned media, but they don’t mention that in the article below.

Israeli warplanes hit the building with at least 5 rockets after warning shots, AnadoluAgency’s correspondent in Jerusalem reported.
No injuries or death were reported.

The strikes occurred following reports that two Israeli soldiers had been injured by gunfire near the Gaza–Israel buffer zone on May 3.

At least six Palestinians were killed when Israeli warplanes struck Hamas positions in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

They admit that warning shots were fired, which is standard practice of the Israeli Air Force, to give the target enough time to clear the building to limit casualties unless there were specific targets.

‘Attempt to remove witnesses’

“Israel’s hitting Anadolu Agency’s office [in Gaza] is an attempt to get rid of the witnesses, a preparation of massacres in Gaza,” Palestinian government said in a statement.

“The targeting of the Anadolu Agency office is the attempt to remove witnesses and prepare for the massacres of Israel against Gaza,” Ibrahim Melhem, spokesman for the Palestinian government told Anadolu Agency.

“Targeting of @AnadoluAgency #Gaza office is new example of Israel’s unrestrained aggression,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Twitter and added: “#Israeli violence against innocent people w/out distinction is a crime against humanity.

Witness? is that what the Turkish state owned media is doing there?

Those who encourage Israel are also guilty.

Guilty as charged.

“Will keep defending #Palestinian cause, even if alone.”

“We strongly condemn Israeli attack on Anadolu Agency office in Gaza that intends to cover up its new crimes,” Turkey’s Presidential aide İbrahim Kalın said on Twitter.

“We condemn Israel in the strongest possible terms for targeting a building in the West Bank, in which the @anadoluagency office was located,” Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun also said on Twitter.

“We urge all governments that claim to defend press freedom, including @USEmbassyTurkey, to join us in condemning the Israeli government,” Altun added.

Vice President Fuat Oktay also condemned the attack.

Some more ranting, with calls to “defend press freedom”. That’s rich, coming from a country that has more Journalists in jail than any other.

“Israel’s reckless attacks against civilians are unacceptable,” Oktay said in a Twitter post.

A state propaganda office in another country is not really civilian, but anyway, they were not targeted, the building was, I can see from the Turkish state media that this hurt.

“I wish quick recovery for Anadolu Agency family which broadcasts the voice of the oppressed Palestinian people to the world,” Oktay added.

Turkish Interior Minister also wished Anadolu Agency for quick recovery and said that Israeli attack on Anadolu Agency office in Gaza Strip shows how important is Turkey’s standing up for oppressed people and transferring what Israel does to the world.

“We strongly condemn indiscriminate attacks by Israel in Gaza, which have been going on since yesterday, killing or injuring many innocent persons and also targeting AnadoluAgency’s Office,” Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“indiscriminate attacks”?  you were targeted, nothing indiscriminate about it.

“We call on the international community to take swift action to reduce the tension in the region, which has escalated due to Israel’s disproportionate acts,” it added.

If they really cared for the Palestinian people, they would call out Hamas, the real occupiers of the Gaza Strip, and their and Islamic Jihad’s indiscriminate targeting of civilians in the ongoing rocket attacks. “Proportionate”? who said this wasn’t?

Original rant here.

Well, attacks against buildings because of their architecture are becoming more common these days. They have an opportunity to build something much more beautiful now.

And not only could the new building be more beautiful but it could be more friendly to the environment also. They should check with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for ideas about how to do that — no energy wasting steel and glass skyscraper please. Think about the planet.

“Iced Tea” buildings go against para-LEED parameters of USGBC.

Why have to go through cooling down a heated up building?

I have a lot of respect for Dr, Pipes–he is a brave and knowledgeable Anti-Jihadist–but he is much too optimistic distinguishing between Islam and “Islamism”.

There is no mention of the (Western-invented) “Islamism” in the Manual of Islamic Law, “Reliance of the Traveller”.

If Erdogan had a true Ramadan spirit, he would be happy the building was demolished. It is in keeping with the season.
