Here is one from the Department of Corrections. Muddassar Ahmed, an advisory council member at the Atlantic Council in Washington writing in the Arab News, says I am “the notorious extremist banned by the UK government since 2013.”
This kind of defamation is nothing new, and ordinarily I ignore it, but I thought I’d state my position for the record in case there are any fair-minded readers out there who want to know the truth. What makes one a “notorious extremist” these days? Do I fly planes into buildings for my god, behead those who believe differently from me, take sex slaves from among women who believe differently, or exhort others to do such things? Sorry, no. I believe in a society that does not establish a state religion, and that guarantees and protects the right of all its citizens. Such a society must value and protect the freedom of speech. Accordingly I oppose Sharia, because it establishes Muslims as a special class having rights that others do not have, denies the freedom of speech, and institutionalizes discrimination against women, non-Muslims, and others.
If that’s notorious extremism, everyone should be a notorious extremist.
The fog of delusion, disinformation, and deception grows ever thicker.
And yes, I was banned from entering the UK in 2013. Here’s why: the letter to me from the UK Home Office said I was banned for saying: “[Islam] is a religion and is a belief system that mandates warfare against unbelievers for the purpose for establishing a societal model that is absolutely incompatible with Western society because media and general government unwillingness to face the sources of Islamic terrorism these things remain largely unknown.” This is a garbled version of what I actually said, which is that Islam in its traditional formulations and core texts mandates warfare against and the subjugation of unbelievers. And it does. Prove me wrong, Mr. Ahmed.
“I am a British Muslim, and Anjem Choudary does not represent me,” by Muddassar Ahmed, Arab News, June 18, 2019:
…Yet achievements such as theirs very rarely hit the top of search results when looking up “Muslims” or “Islam.” Instead, if a search does not end up promoting hate preachers such as Choudary who distort Islam from within, it often leads to webpages that defame Islam from without. Such websites include Jihad Watch, run by Robert Spencer, the notorious extremist banned by the UK government since 2013…
Despite the rampant fake news on these sites, their popularity means that Google continues to elevate them, driving a self-reinforcing cycle of viral disinformation that repeatedly pushes the same toxic message: Muslims and Islam are a threat to the West.
In reality, Google actively buries sites that tell the truth about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, including this one. But that’s not enough for Muddassar Ahmed: he wants even more censorship.
And as for Ahmed’s claim that Jihad Watch publishes “rampant fake news,” I ask him to produce even one example of something we have posted that is false. Not something you dislike, Mr. Ahmed, but something you can demonstrate to be false. Happy hunting.
Does the Atlantic Council know or care that a member of its advisory council traffics in such reckless and baseless defamation?

If it smells like rotten bologna, feels like rotten bologna, looks like rotten bologna…bits of green and white mold growing…and slings charges against those healthy and wholesome products, it’s likely to be rotten bologna.
When one is searching on the web for information about islam, one must know ahead of time just how to search, what exact words to use, and for what things to look…or one will be misdirected to the lies that are abundant.
And when one does know the right words and the successful ways to search, one is likely to be ***warned*** that the sites and articles found are ***harmful*** and should not be accessed.
Thank you Mr. Spencer for causing anger in the evil ones who lie. It just means you are hitting the nails of Truth straight on.

Ahmed is brainwashed, and is merely touting the company line…Since Islam is, by definition, unreasonable…You cannot reason with them…Since Islam is, by definition, “special”, they deserve all the special treatments they get…They will not change the ways of fourteen hundred years…Conversion by force, has been their modus operandi, since its inception…The only way Western society can win the upcoming crusade, is by adopting their methods, and fighting fire with fire…I hate the thought, because war well and truly sucks, but it will be necessary…
Jule Bacal says
It almost makes one wonder if Ahmed has ever read the Qur’an.
I read it without bias years ago out of curiosity and came away thinking..This is a Warlords Manual to Conquest and Complete control, especially over its own members. Its Colonization with brutality like the ancient times. How can anyone say this a True Religion? (in the way we know religion) But I also found out that many words we use have almost opposite meaning of the same words to a Muslim.

Good for you Mr. Spencer, I always want to be “notorious” myself!
Angemon says
Does Choudary consider you a muslim?
Jayell says
Choudary promoted himself as an islamic ‘priest’, that’s how he’s seen in the UK and that’s how he (correctly) defines islam to the British public, however much it might blow a hole in this Ahmad character’s ambitions to infiltrate the UK establishment with the usual contrived whitewashing drivel. And as for Mr. Spencer being a ‘notorious extremist’ (a) you need to have created a widespread reputation amongst the general public to be ‘notorious’ in any way, which Mr. Spencer hasn’t done, and (b) you normally need to be excessively active in some sort of religious or political movement to be an ‘extremist’ – and Mr. Spencer is purely an academic commentator on matters islamic. So, like the rest of his brethren, Ahmad reveals himself as a linguistic ignoramus sadly lacking in honesty and intellectual integrity, and no better than a third-rate salesman who would peddle any fatuously-fabricated verbal garbage to sell his fifth-rate merchandise.
simpleton1 says
Does Choudary consider you a muslim?
Choudary would allow to Ahmed to continue on, as he serves the “stealth jihad” part.
Once Choudary and his ilk gain enough power, enough strength, then the unofficial “hudna” is over, just as Mohammad advised and would have practiced.
keya says
Actually Anjem Choudhary is a good and perfect Muslim. Mr.Ahmad is either clueless about Islam or in denial. The sad part is many fools will flock to this Ahmad guy..
Charles says
The question arises, is Islam a feeling? Is Islam a race? Is Islam an identity? Is Islam a doctrine? If a Muslim testifies to the Shahada and pledges that the Quran is the immutable word of Allah, and that Muhammad is the perfect example of a man, then we must call it a doctrine since we can read the Quran and we can read the Hadith narratives of Muhammad and his exploits. The written imperatives and the action upon those imperatives create a narrative of revelation, and subsequent action. It is abundantly clear that the early Muslims attacked, killed, plundered, and enslaved on the single pretext of disbelief. The imperatives are easily read and the narratives of brutal warfare and enslavement are also easily read. They try to hide the truth with equivocations and obfuscations. They use ironic orwellian statements like “Islam is a religion of peace”, or “you are quoting out of context”. But there are no contextual qualifiers, and the imperatives are unequivocal. Patterns can easily be sourced in historical behavior. Its not a matter of “hate” or “bigotry”, its a question of whether or not we value our culture enough to preserve it, and resist the inevitable encroachment of Islam.

I try to be very careful with my posts on Jihad Watch. I consider it a privilege to be able to discuss Islamic Jihad with others in a factual, evidence-based manner.
In the past year, I have posted close to 1,000 times and – have tried to be painstakingly accurate. I have probably come up short on several occasions but I am always open to learn the truth.
That being said, I am certain that the UK would deny me entry into their country if they were aware of my posts on Jihad Watch.
Very, very sad.

Grimly likely, James.
Norger says
Discussing Islamic jihad in a factual, evidence-based manner; what a novel concept! The MSM and our political “leaders” don’t just refuse to do this themselves, they do everything they can to prevent anyone from doing so. Taking an honest, unflinching look at authoritative Islamic sources and actually quoting them verbatim; that’s somehow considered “hate speech.” (Pay no attention to the obvious hate dripping from the quoted material ).The “rules” around what may (and may not) be said about Islam, an IDEOLOGY, are positively Orwellian.
James Lincoln says
Norger,
Your post is very well written and 100% accurate – my compliments.
And much thanks for the reply.

“garbled version of what I actually said”………. that was obvious as soon as I read it, as Robert Spencer never writes in such a substandard manner. I always know when there are charges against him just whose account is counterfactual. And I always count on Mr. Spencer to be clear, concise, and scrupulously factual and accurate. Unlike his detractors.

The world has been engaged in WW111 for some time against Militant Jihadism. It is simply unacknowledged by Western political leaders. Until such time as Islamic society experiences an Enlightenment it will remain as a Medieval Doctrine attempting to enslave the world in its darkness.
Westman says
This “negative” recognition means that by expressing only truth and evidence from Islam’s own scriptures, Mr. Spencer has had the maximum impact that can only be rejected by name calling, threats, derision, and lies.
Muddassar Ahmed has simply confirmed that Mr. Spencer is having a very significant effect while Muddassar only has Mudd to throw. Methinks Ahmed dost protest too much.
Linde Barrera says
To Westman-I agree with you 100%. I tried to contact Mr. Muddassar Ahmed to leave a polite and civil comment that he is incorrect in his branding of Mr. Robert Spencer, but I was unable to do so. I checked the Department of Corrections in Washington DC: 202-778-4952 and there is no extension for him there. I also called The German Marshall Fund of the US: 202-683-2650, but because he is a Visiting Fellow from overseas, they have no extension number for him there. So I guess the only way to contact him is by using Twitter but since I am not subscribed to Twitter, that is not an option for me.
Perhaps some truth seeker here at Jihad Watch will contact Muddassar Ahmed on Twitter and quote Quran verses 8:12 and 9:5 to Mr. Ahmed. If Mr. Ahmed sees the light and responds, then Mr. Ahmed will apologize to Mr. Spencer and say that Islam is the “religion” of notorious extremists. I pray that Mr. Ahmed’s eyes are opened to the truth.
Norger says
The problem is that many people simply look at the fact that Robert Spencer was “banned” from the UK and conclude that this constitutes compelling evidence, if not conclusive “proof,” that Spencer is a bigot. The reality, of course, is that Winston Churchill would be banned from the today’s UK for his stated opinions about the “religion of peace.”
