It is good to be back in Human Events, where I wrote a weekly column for ten years. That venerable publication had fallen into desuetude, but now the estimable Raheem Kassam has revived it, and it has quickly become one of the most important voices of sanity on the web. Here is my latest:
Ben Rhodes, Obama’s foreign policy guru, has been a relentless critic of Trump’s stance toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He recently tweeted “Trump’s administration has made every effort to manufacture a crisis with Iran,” declaring Trump “has created a major crisis by withdrawing from a Deal that was working, isolating the U.S., provoking the Iranians, risking both a resumed nuclear program and a war.”
Rhodes and other Leftists who are blaming Trump for ramping up tensions with Iran are ignoring that Iran has been working toward a war with the U.S. for decades.
On November 2, 2015, a commanding majority of the Majlis, 192 of its 290 members, agreed to a statement declaring “Death to America” was not just a slogan: it had “turned into the symbol of the Islamic Republic and all struggling nations.”
“Death to America” continues to be chanted at Friday prayers in Iranian mosques, as well as at anti-American protests.
A communal desire to destroy the United States and commit mass murder of its citizens is within the Islamic Republic of Iran’s very identity.
As Obama and Rhodes concluded their nuclear deal with Iran, regional political analyst Ali Wambold pointed out the Constitution of the Islamic Republic “proclaims ‘the ideological mission of jihad,’ which it defines as ‘extending the sovereignty of God’s law throughout the world,’ through Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.”
Thus, he said, “to treat with the Islamic Republic over the particulars of its weaponry while failing to address the very purpose of its bellicosity is delusional. The so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action does nothing to change the fact that, in plain Farsi, Iran is committed to world conquest by Islam, with its clerics as warlords. Those to be conquered include America (the ‘Great Satan’), Israel (the ‘Little Satan’) and the Sunni-led Gulf States.”
In July 2005, then–Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said essentially the same thing:
“The message of the Revolution is global, and is not restricted to a specific place or time. Have no doubt… Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.”
Was this just a pious hope for the success of Islamic proselytizing?
Hardly, given Ahmadinejad’s reference to the Islamic Revolution, the violent movement that had brought the Islamic Republic of Iran into being in 1979.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has emphasized that Iran’s foreign policy was “based on Islam and stems from the aspirations and goals of the Revolution.”
Khamenei’s predecessor, Ayatollah Khomeini, said from the beginning the goals of that Revolution were global:
“We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry ‘There is no god but Allah’ resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle.”
The Iranian politician Mohsen Rezaei once told a cheering Iranian crowd:
“We will build a force that will demolish the enemies of Islam, continue the path of our great prophet Muhammad, and raise the flag of Islam in all corners of the world.”
Journalist Elaine Sciolino noted in her 2000 book Persian Mirrors: The Elusive Face of Iran that a neon sign in Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport reads, in English, “In future Islam will destroy Satanic sovereignty of the West.”
Iran’s commitment to world conquest in the name of Islam—and to the defeat of America in particular—precludes lasting peace with the United States.
Iran’s Brigadier General Qolamhossein Qeib-parvar of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared:
“There are only two things that would end enmity between us and the US. Either the US president and EU leaders should convert to Islam and imitate the Supreme Leader, or Iran should abandon Islam and the Islamic revolution. If they are not going to turn Muslim, we are not going to abandon Islam or the revolution either. But I do not know why some people believe that some day we will make peace with the US and start relations with them.”
On September 23, 2015, two months after the nuke deal was finalized, Khamenei published an article entitled “The Idols Will Be Shattered,” illustrated with a drawing of the Statue of Liberty shattered in pieces.
In it he declared:
“The idol of the soul, the idol of pride, [and] the idol of sexual lust; the idol of tyranny and subservience; the idol of global tyranny [that is, the U.S.]; the idol of sloth and irresponsibility; and the other idols that shame the precious human soul—a plan that will spring forth from the depths of the heart will shatter them.”
In January 2014, the Chief Commander of the IRGC, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, boasted that “Islam’s leaders have long ago prepared us for a great and decisive confrontation… The sun of America’s imperialist civilization is nearing its setting.” He claimed “the US will never understand the Islamic Republic of Iran’s offensive scope.”
Offensive, not defensive.
The deputy commander of the IRGC, Hossain Salami, said in May 2015 that Iran actually wanted war with the United States:
“We have prepared ourselves for the most dangerous scenarios and this is no big deal and is simple to digest for U.S.; we welcome war with the U.S. as we do believe that it will be the scene for our success to display the real potentials of our power.”
All this was well before Donald Trump became President, and much of it came while the nuclear deal was being negotiated, or soon after it was signed….

It is the most macabre joke for Ben Rhodes to claim the deal was working when in fact the mullahs were provoking Obama’s regime constantly throughout the negotiations and after the deal was made. Their taqiyya is in endless supply. The only answer to the Iran situation is to put the mullahs out of power. This will take some very creative thinking. I think Donald Trump has a creative solution and it will not include WW III which is exactly what the mullahs want.

Correct and we should never forget the smiling face of Obama while the Iranians displayed our troops in chains. No other president in the history of the nation would have tolerated such an act, except maybe the peanut farmer.

Brigadier General Qolamhossein Qeib-parvar left out the WORST IDOL of all …
“the idol of the AYATOLLAHS’ tyranny” over the Persian people.
Walter Sieruk says
Yes, it’s an awful tragic and sad truth that “Iran has craved war for decades.”
For this sentence fits in with the real legacy of Ayatollah Khomeini who was the Imam who was so powerful that he played large role in the establishment of the current Islamic tyranny of Iran which has the official title of “ The Islamic Republic of Iran” Khomeini had declared “ Jihad or Holy War ,which is for the conquest of [other ] countries and kingdoms , becomes incumbent after the formation of the Islamic State in the presence of the Imam or in accordance with his command. Then Islam makes it incumbent on all males…to prepare themselves for the conquest of countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world… those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. The goal of this conquest would be to establish the hegemony of Islamic law.” [1]

Walter Sieruk says
There is a wise saying which ,does ,strongly apply to that violent “mullah regime” of Iran. The saying is that “Evil is always looking for an excuse.” In which sanctions against that aggressive and oppressive Islamic tyranny provides only an “excuse” for war.
This likewise also fits with bounds of the actual legacy of Ayatollah Khomeini is the of violence and war. To be more specific Islamic violence and war. Strangely, there are many young people and strangely many older people, who are Westerns who in the United States as well other countries of the West are, no doubt sincere but very misinformed ,as in misled, therefore say ,because they believe it, that “Islam is a peaceful and non-violent religion .” To those people the first and supreme Ayatollah Khomeini , who was the very head this current Islamic regime of Iran knows better stated about how he feels about those naïve Westerns .For he declared “Islam grew with blood….Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels” He also said “Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war….I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” [1]
So, in other words Ayatollah Khomenei felt nothing but arrogant contempt for those people who say that his religion “Is a peaceful religion” and understand that they in ignorant and uninformed.
Therefore the West needs to wake up to the reality of the truth about the actual violent essence of this religion.

Leftism certainly is Evil.
Relentless at poking at others who disagree and won’t buckle to their politicized agendae.
Character assassinating at every turn, calling anything “racist” to see if the mudslinging will stick,
and where it sticks they press more, and gain adherents who themselves as ignorami become mudslingers, perpetuating the hatred and putridness.
Walter Sieruk says
The mullah and ayatollahs who have so much terrible ruthless power in Iran and who have complete controls of the Muslim members of Iran’s official parliament are ,indeed, Muslim clerics who are viciously jihad –minded in the most violent and deadly ways possible .
So much so that their character may be well described in Psalm 73:6—9 which read “Therefore pride is their necklace:: they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil ;their evil imaginations have no limits. They scoff and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.” [N.I.V.]

Trump Derangement Syndrome… No, seriously, that’s an actual thing – the official name is “Trump Anxiety Disorder” though.
CRUSADER says
This really is where Spencer’s “History of Jihad” comes in….
Logging the long record of Islam’s spread of dread… and incessant need to “conquer” the others of this world, and then to force them into submission (aka “islam”).
Westman says
Muhammad created Islam to free the Arabs from the Malthusian Trap, a situation in which the population was outstripping the food supply, creating poverty, and Arab female babies were being buried in the sands.
Europe escaped this endemic poverty situation via the Industrial Revolution while Muhammad accomplished it by creating a religion, Islam, that authorized conquest and theft from non-Muslims. Islam did not gain its early wealth by industry. Now, in a modern militarized world, no longer unable to continue conquest, the non oil producing Islamic states have found themselves far behind the unbelieving West.
Iran is an irrational enigma, as an oil producing state. It cannot hope to improve its economic position through conquest yet has its fingers in terrorist groups and threatens powers that can destroy it. Iran truly has irrational leadership who represent the worst of Islam.
Iran’s leadership has no friends but other Shia, placing it at less than 9% of Muslims. The Sunnis are tired of Iran’s bellicose attitude that tarnishes the image of Islam, threatens Sunnis, and are shifting toward allowing Iran to be attacked by the US, Israel, and possibly some Arab states. The irrationality, seen within the Iranian military, will likely lead to a misstep and war.

One of Iran’s Last F-14A Tomcats Just Crashed
Oops.
I t is said that the IRIAF only have some twelve to fourteen operational F-14A and F-14AMs left.
The picture in this post features the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) F-14A Tomcat that crashed yesterday .
According to Scramble Facebook News Magazine, it is now (still unconfirmed) reported that the aircraft involved is F-14A 3-6003. According to the picture of the fatal Tomcat, the airframe is completely destroyed.
As we have reported yesterday, one of the few remaining IRIAF F-14A Tomcat fighter jets was involved in a crash at home base Esfahãn-Shahid Beheshti International Airport (Iran).
The IRIAF F-14A from the 8th Tactical Air Base crashed while it was landing. The aircraft reported an emergency to air traffic control during its training flight, subsequently the fighter was approved to make a quick landing at Esfahãn, but the aircraft was not able to hold position and skidded of the runway. Both pilot and Radar Intercept Officer (RIO) were forced to eject. They parachuted safely to mother earth.
It is said that the IRIAF only have some twelve to fourteen operational F-14A and F-14AMs left. The IRIAF faces large problems to keep their Tomcats in the air (the AM version is locally modified and equipped with new avionics and multi-function displays in the cockpit, counter measure systems, radar warning receivers and an inertial navigation system).
The U.S. Navy retired the iconic Tomcat on Sep. 22, 2006 and today the F-14 remains in service with IRIAF.
In January 2007, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) announced that sales of spare F-14 parts would be suspended over concerns of the parts ending up in Iran and in Jul. 2007 the remaining U.S. F-14s were shredded to ensure that any parts could not be acquired.
However in Oct. 2010 IRIAF commander stated that his country was overhauling its F-14s and mentioned that Iran-made radar system had been installed on the fighter.
Moreover in the summer of 2010, Iran requested that the U.S. deliver the 80th F-14 it had purchased in 1974, but delivery was denied after the Islamic Revolution.
