Celebrate diversity! Diversity is our strength! And all that. But what happens when you bring in large groups of people who adhere to a belief system that itself does not respect “diversity”? This. And there will be much, much more of it in Australia, as well as many more jihad attacks against non-Muslims.
“The three men laughed and chatted among themselves as the judge took more than two hours to deliver his sentencing remarks. Moukhaiber whooped and danced after being led from the courtroom by security. The men smiled and waved at a number of supporters in court.”
Why? Because they have no respect for Australian law, which they do not recognize, and are happy in the knowledge that their firebombing pleased Allah by striking at heretics.
“3 Sunni Muslims imprisoned for firebombing Australian Shiite mosque,” AP, July 24, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
MELBOURNE, Australia — Three Sunni Muslim men were sentenced on Wednesday to prison terms of 16 and 22 years on convictions including engaging in a terror act by burning down a Shiite mosque in the Australian city of Melbourne three years ago.
A Victoria state Supreme Court jury convicted Abdullah Chaarani, 28, Ahmed Mohamed, 26, and Hatim Moukhaiber, 31, in May over the firebombing of the Imam Ali Islamic Center in December 2016. No one was injured.
Mohamed and Moukhaiber had both denied any involvement. Chaarani admitted his role, but argued he had been part of an act of protest, advocacy or dissent, but not terrorism. They each faced a potential sentence of life in prison.
Chaarani and Mohamed were also found guilty of attempting to commit a terror act over a failed attempt to burn the mosque down two weeks earlier.
The words “Islamic State” were also spray painted on the exterior of the building.
Mohamed and Chaarani had previously been convicted of planning a terrorist attack on central Melbourne locations including the Federation Square restaurant and nightclub precinct, St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral and Flinders Street train station on Christmas Day in 2016….
The latest trial heard evidence that after the first failed attempt to destroy the mosque, Mohamed and Chaarani returned with Moukhaiber in December with a 20-liter (5.3-gallon) container of gasoline and two car tires to keep the blaze going.
Their goal was to “strike a blow against, and terrorize, Shiite Muslims,” Justice Andrew Tinney said Wednesday as he sentenced the trio for their “callous, cowardly and vindictive” crimes….
Tinney said the men had sought to advance the cause of the Islamic State group. The three men laughed and chatted among themselves as the judge took more than two hours to deliver his sentencing remarks.
Moukhaiber whooped and danced after being led from the courtroom by security. The men smiled and waved at a number of supporters in court.

Fire-bombing a Shia Mosque is always the safest alternative. No one would be expecting that from a Sunni!!

Maybe they should be released on the condition that they continue the good work. They are sect maniacs! (lol)
James says
This is not surprising. I remember the Zionist fanatic who killed the Israeli prime minister. He laughed and acted like a big hero in the courtroom after his despicable crime. They do this in part because they know they are not going to be tortured or even executed for their crimes. So of course the attention they get in a trial is a reward for them.

Of course James has to go back decades to find a violent Jewish person.
Judaism does not, of course, teach disdain for the civilized rule of law as does Islam–nor does it teach murder. Nice try.

Well said, gravenimage.
You can always tell a Jewhater – they dig deep into the past to find something against Jews.
Whereas to find a jihadi incident one only needs to go back as far as a few hours before, or the previous day…Jihad is committed every day, not always punished.

In 1995 Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by Yigal Amir, a right-wing extremist who opposed the signing of the Oslo Accords….thinking that Israel would be giving away the store to the Islamists !
carpediadem says
The murder was deplorable and unjustifiable.
But he was right.
James Lincoln says
The feature article states,
“Moukhaiber whooped and danced after being led from the courtroom by security.”
And I thought the dancing was prohibited under Islam/sharia law…

Apparently not: Nothing like a dance party and what are they “smoking”?

Professor A.J. Caschetta said:
“The truth is that no amount
of respect will satisfy Islamists.
Since the end of World War II, U.S.
policy makers have nearly always sided
with Muslims against their enemies.
For decades, U.S. administrations sided
with Muslim Pakistan over Hindu India.
U.S. power and technology liberated
Afghanistan from the Soviet Union,
Kuwait from Iraq, and Bosnia and Kosovo
from Yugoslavia.
Americans have fought—and some have died—
to save starving Muslims in Somalia
and flooded Muslims in Indonesia.
In 1982, U.S. power even saved
the loathsome PLO from destruction
by Israel in Lebanon.
And, in spite of all this, the United States
remains the No. 1 target of Islamic supremacists.
U.S. policymakers should recognize that
no act of kindness, no amount of aid
and no military rescue mission will
ever be enough to appease Islamists.”

As you say, Robert, with appropriate sarcasm, “celebrate diversity”, such as this Muslim garbage. And, look, I do believe the diversity from Buddhist and Christian Asians and some others is fine. But it is so dumb for our countries to import this inevitable, vicious behaviour that Muslims bring to any country they get into. If they aren’t trying to kill non-Muslims, then these champions of endless intolerance are trying to attack one another, as in these Sunnis versus Shiites. It’s all such a negative for our countries. I just can’t see any positive in the crap they bring with them. The only answer is to keep Muslims out. They can live their revolting, violent lives, but not in our backyards. Unfortunately, almost all our politicians and the majority of our population in Australia still don’t seem to get it. Not enough of them have woken up yet. When it comes to Islam, I keep wishing that our people had woken up the way that the people in those Visegrad countries have done. It has to be the only answer to these problems that keep occurring..
CRUSADER says
Smaller states with more homogenous populations can do more things such as Visegrad has been doing.

I’m sure what you’ve said is right, CRUSADER. As I wrote up above, I’m happy with a lot of the diversity we have in Australia. Our Buddhist and Christian Asians, Jewish people, etc, and many other groups seem to get along well and the diversity makes life interesting. I suspect that more homogenous populations might be less interesting. I’d rather live in Australia than the Central European countries and not just for the better weather. I just keep thinking that those countries have come up with the right, the ideal, approach when it comes to islam. That is, just keep it out. Islam is nothing but trouble wherever it goes. I think in many western countries, including Australia, there is a determination to be really tolerant of all other cultures and ways of living, even including Islam, which the people in the Visegrad countries probably don’t have. I probably wouldn’t like other aspects of those societies. I also thought that Burma was right to throw its Muslims out even though they copped a lot of criticism for doing so. They were criticised for being heartless and all that. I figured they’d had enough of the trouble their Muslims caused (always seem to cause) and decided to expel them, which I thought made sense. I do hope many other countries adopt the attitude of the Visegrad group when it comes to dealing with Islam. I’m sure it’ll be a long process before that happens.

Pious Muslims target Infidels–or even other-sect Muslims.. God, I hate Islam.
tim gallagher says
I like that refrain of yours, gravenimage, about hating Islam. It is what islam deserves for all the evil it’s done. So I can only say, Amen to that . It’s a sentiment I share. Some Muslims are OK, but the hideous, vile ideology deserves to be hated.

Agreed, Tim.
