Of course. Why not? He fit right in with CNN’s editorial stance, and that of the politicians it celebrates. They had no trouble hiring this malignant personality, but imagine if someone who opposed jihad mass murder and Sharia oppression of women applied to them for a job. They would have said “We can’t use you” before he or she was finished saying hello.
Now Elshamy has resigned under pressure, but only because he got caught.
“CNN Hired Photo Editor Who Refers To Jews, Police As ‘Pigs’ And Called For People To Be Murdered,” by Shelby Talcott, Daily Caller, July 25, 2019:
CNN hired an Egyptian-born photojournalist who has referred to Jewish people and Egyptian police as “pigs” multiple times on his official Twitter account and also called for people to be murdered.
Mohammed Elshamy, a photo editor for CNN, was hired by the news outlet in 2019, according to an announcement on his Twitter. Past tweets by Elshamy include him referring to Jews and police as “pigs” and even calling for officials to be murdered. Anti-Israel comments are also scattered throughout Elshamy’s past tweets….
“We’re hunting you Israel,” a tweet from August 2011 reads.
This tweet translates to “We counter you generation after generation – we’re hunting you Israel.” (Screenshot Twitter/Mohammed Elshamy)
Elshamy referred to Jewish people as “pigs” and posted anti-Israel tweets on his official page. One tweet said that he was proud of the “army generation that liberated us from the zionist pigs” in 1973. The date written in this tweet refers to the The Yom Kippur War, when Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
“More than 4 jewish pigs killed in #Jerusalem today by the Palestinian bomb explode,” a tweet by Elshamy read in 2011. Another read that “Israel is the main enemy for the people of Egypt and shall always remain despite rulers who lick Jewish legs.”
Two tweets by Elshamy refer to Jewish people as “pigs” and contain anti-Israel language. (Screenshot Twitter/Mohammed Elshamy)..

Would we find out about things like this if not for Jihadwatch? Doubtful. Keep up your important work.

And this is not convict-able of Hate Crime? Time to remove ALL Moslims from our midst. They can not and will not ever leave the Mohammedan way of the Quran the Warlord is the perfect man for them as Moslims and are not willing to put down the sword and live in peace. They want nothing to do with Freedom and will keep pushing to get Sharia Law as the only law in the world. The Quran is not for Infidels and the Moslims say it themselves. The Infidels are not to interpret the Quran, only an Imam has the right to say what the Quran means in words. When is OUR American Government going to learn that you can’t separate the Evil from the Quran, it has been corrupted for 1600 years. There is nothing wrong with telling Islam that it can not fit into Western Countries as Peaceful religious people. Islam is an Ideology and can not assimilate into Western Society. Jail all Moslim that refuse to rebuke their Ideology or get deported. They don’t come here for America’s benefit, and change the laws. They come here to Dominate, force submission, and assassinate as soon as they are overpopulating the locals the areas they consume. This is not hate speech, this is the truth and if we continue to allow Political Correctness to consume common sense, then we will lose all of humanity for a Barbaric Ideology. Moslims never created a single thing that they did not steal from other civilizations. They have invented Jihad against Humanity and will destroy every country they slaughter to do it.

Very true, they will pop up in time and try to over take,
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
Isn’t this fired photo editor a Moslem? I bet Jeff Zucker, a Jew, positively puckers thinking about all the Moslems he employs and what a multicultural success he is. Diversity they tell us in inherently required, but where is the diversity in CNN’s content? Looks monocultural to me.
Norger says
And the issue is that this type vicious anti-semitism is hard-wired into Islamic theology. According (And not surprisingly) this type of hateful rhetoric is common among high profile Muslims (e.g. imams, political leaders etc.) if CNN were to just pay minimal attention. This man is hardly an outlier, he just got caught, at little too publicly. . Do you suppose CNN might consider publishing an expose on Islamic anti-semitism? NFW.

How can CNN a Jewish network news hire an anti-Israeli activist. All major American News networks are owned and operated by the Zionist organization according to the late report by a Jewish organization based in NewYork. Why Jews till this present day support Democrats and the leftist movements although knowing that the latter ones hate and wants the complete destruction of Israel, Jews of NewYork, Florida, and all Jews in the Congress are so much against our great President Trump one Mr. Trump did so much for the Jews. Is this a repeat to what happened during Hitler’s era?

Ah…right. What “Jewish organization based in NewYork (slc)” might that be? Of course, Ashour Malek does not say. But then, when have pious Muslims even cared about facts?

It looks as though Asjour Malek is saying that Jews deserved to be slaughtered by Hitler, and that it will be their fault if Muslims start mass murdering them today. Does anyone here believe that this Muslim is really in favor of President Trump’s standing against Jihad? I certainly don’t.

I feel sorry for the guy.
He basically put into words what all his peers at CNN believe to their cores and he gets fired over it. He was probably so indoctrinated with hate at CNN that he would recognize it.

I wonder if CNN would have done this if the “orange man bad” narrative wasn’t making them bleed viewers…

come on Jihad Watch….start including the email addresses of CNN decision makers…..dont you think it would be nice if your readers could click a link and be directed to CNN’s editor’s/CEO/VP/HR or SOMEBODYS email address so they know that we are watching and are horrified by their decisions?
gravenimage says
lisa was similarly enraged on other thread today that Jihad Watch had provided her with email links to Amazon. Good grief…
lisa says
Brother, if you think that is enraged, you need help with your people skills. I was not enraged with Jihad Watch. Nor was i complaining that jihad watch provided email links to amazon. The opposite. I was complaining that jihad watch writes stories about these people at cnn and amazon but does NOT provide email links to them. Now you and i both know that the far left liberals as well as the radical muslims EMAIL, BOYCOTT, let businesses know they will not buy their products if they associate with so and so, right? They will put the name of a company…..oh like say….that fast food chicken restaurant…. Chick fil a…on a hit list and go after every college, every tv station, anybody who does business with these people. WELL since jihad watch is in the business of reporting this type of news, why dont they take it one step further and include the email addresses of the people they are reporting to us? I would like to email them. WOULDNT YOU?
gravenimage says
No, I wouldn’t–because news stories as a rule do not include such information, nor should they.
I will provide contact information on this occasion, but you will have to find this out for yourself in future:

lisa says
OK, So GravenImage IS Jihadwatch? I am not an editor. Nor am i a liberal, a conservative or even jewish. I am a catholic who has never been involved in politics until recently. I was manipulated. I had my vote stolen by the main stream media. I believed the B.S. they broadcasted. And voted for Hilary. It took about a month for me to get suspicious…..and then a couple more months to realize just how bad the things were. But i am still very dumb when it comes to this stuff….I got blocked/banned on aol for pointing out there in accuracies….nicely. Not rudely. I got banned from my neighborhood blog because a lady loaded a picture of a possum and wanted to know what it was….30+ people told her possom…i uploaded a recipe for possom. It was a joke for GODS SAKE….doesnt anybody have a sense of humor???? So getting back to YOU…..what does AS A RULE mean? What is the legal definition and why do you believe that email addresses and contact information should not be included in stories where a broadcasting station that is blasting information to MILLIONS of people around the world is hiring blatant antisemites who are pushing hatred and praying for the death of jews….why shouldnt you list those decision makers contact information so that they understand the public feels about their decisions? Maybe they need to hear it directly from the public. But anyway, AS A RULE….what does that mean?
gravenimage says
No, I’m not Jihad Watch. lisa asked whether I believed that Jihad Watch should have to provide email addresses, and I said that I did not.
lisa wrote:
So getting back to YOU…..what does AS A RULE mean?
…………………………………
I mean that very few news stories include the emails of those covered in the story. All one has to do is to look at any news stories to see that this is the case.
If lisa has a problem with how virtually all news stories are handled, she should take it up with the news sources in question–that would be just about all of them.
If she wants to contact them, generally it is not all that difficult to find contact information. It took me under two minutes to find contact information for CNN.
I actually contact those in news stories quite often–I did so with CNN in the case of the story above (I always keep such contact polite and professional).
It is just that I do not believe that Jihad Watch is duty bound to provide me with such contact information.
I am also careful to always use business contact information, and not any personal contact. Doxing is all too common these days, and I don’t want any part of that.

CNN’s Muslim photo editor who refers to Jews as pigs and celebrates jihad murder of Israelis resigns under pressure
……………………………..
Well, I’m glad he wasn’t promoted or given a raise. But how many more Muslims does CNN and other news media have who think just like this?
lisa says
You only have to watch the main stream media news to find the answer to that question….
lisa says
wait a minute….who are you talking to? I am lisa…..are you talking to me? I am confused…..I have talked to you directly…havent i? Or have i??????? Are you gravenimage ??? Who are you responding to? Are y ou responding for Jihad Watch? Do you wish you were Jihad Watch? Did i miss your definition of AS A RULE ? Do you believe that JIHAD watch is main stream media?
gravenimage says
I was just posting as myself–as I always do. I don’t think there was anything confusing about my comments.
I was not posting as Jihad Watch, nor did I in any way imply that I was doing so.
And while I have indeed replied to lisa elsewhere on this thread, I was not doing so immediately above.
I’m unclear on what she is so confused about.
lisa says
you may have been posting AS yourself but who were you posting to? If you are responding to me, then why do you post: ” I’m unclear on what she is so confused about.” Wouldnt you post “i am unclear on what YOU are confused about? ” This is what is confusing to me…who are you responding to if you are not responding to me? And the reason i thought you were jihad watch is because you responded as if YOU WERE JIHAD WATCH..i posted: “WELL since jihad watch is in the business of reporting this type of news, why dont they take it one step further and include the email addresses of the people they are reporting to us? My post on the 26th was not in reply to anyone–it was just a comment on the above story.
My post above on the 28th was in reply to lisa, since she had replied to me..

This makes no sense, because the first time lisa asked who I was replying to, I was not replying to her at all, or to anyone else.
As for the use of the third rather than the second person in my post above from the 28th, this should not be confusing either. If someone seems to be a rational action I reply to them n the second person–if not, then the third person does nicely. This is the case with lisa, who was first demanding that Jihad Watch supply her with emails for anyone she might possibly wish to contact, then started going after me when I gave her with one of the requested emails.

I never replied as Jihad Watch. The “wouldn’t you” appeared to be addressed to posters here. I said that I did not believe that Jihad Watch was duty bound to provide email addresses for anyone–this is still the case.

I was nice enough to supply information that lisa appeared to be unable to locate herself–she can insult me for this if she so desires.
If she believes that Jihad Watch is not giving her what she demands, she can contact them at the “Contact Us” box on the right-hand side of the page. I’m sure such demands will be given the attention they deserve.

Robert_k says
Isn’t CNN Islamophobic for firing a Muslim because of his beliefs in Jihad and Jews being pigs – as per the Jews (who break the Sabbath) being the descendants of apes and pigs?
lisa says
They did NOT fire him….he resigned supposedly under pressure. Wouldn’t it be nice if we knew what really happened? I mean the people who hired him surely knew what he believed in since he did not keep it a secret…he was apparently quite proud of it…posting it on his social media page open to the public. Right? And since the RULE OF THUMB is not to divulge the contact information of the people who make the hiring decisions, or any of the companies employees, who was supposedly pressuring this guy to resign?
Giacomo Latta says
Why was the Twitter employee responsible for translating and posting Mohammed’s hate speech not sacked? If it is done automatically by computer where are the subroutines that could detect and flag this crap?
lisa says
Graven Image. You are still replying to somebody about me. Who are you replying to? You keep mentioning my name LISA but who are you talking to? I know how to contact jihad watch and i know how to find contact information. I did not make a comment to you. My original comment was to jihad watch. You answered for them. AND you have been responding ever since but not to me….but about me. So who are you responding to? Do you believe you have an audience? If you do have an audience, i am unaware of it.
Angemon says
gravenimage’s audience is the same as everyone else’s: whoever reads it…
gravenimage says
Exactly, Angemon.
lisa says
well he is not replying to me angemon. I was talking to him and he was talking to everybody else. So i guess i should not address any of my comments to anybody but then why did he respond to my question?
gravenimage says
I was certainly replying directly to lisa initially–until, as I noted, she proved to be anything but a rational actor.
More broadly, any poster can reply to any other poster’s comments here.
I thought the demand that Jihad Watch supply contact information for every story was concerning and worth addressing.
Kay says
lisa,
How is this site different from your neighborhood blog? It seems to me that it is like any other online conversation–which is much like real conversations. Someone says something. Anyone reading (or hearing, if in real life) may comment, agree, disagree, question, emphasize, etc. Because it is a public space, many people might read; some might comment but most won’t. You are free to take part in such conversations . . . or merely to read what others write.
