Another Independence Day is upon us. Each one presents to us a challenge: will we also fight for freedom and independence, or give them up? The struggle for freedom has not changed, and will never change. It is the eternal struggle over whether human beings will live free, or willingly submit to slavery.
All over the world today, slaves are seeking slavery. Slaves everywhere are defending and even glorifying slavery. As those who are standing against tyranny continue to be excoriated as enemies of the people, demonized, and marginalized, avoiding slavery will be harder than ever. People everywhere defend oppressors and carry water for bullies and tyrants, and think all the while that they’re serving the cause of freedom.
In reality, you are either fighting for one thing, or the other. If you’re not working to advance the cause of freedom, you’re working to advance the cause of slavery. The cause of slavery has so very many advocates today. Be an advocate for freedom — for what we must defend, not what we must fight against:
1. Governments deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
What we must defend:

What we must defend it against:

2. Equality of rights before the law.

This is a great article considering the focus on Islam. The focus on Islam makes the argument presented by the article unassailable. Concerning Islam and jihad in association with the United States view of government, my comment ends here.
Still, I want the US to be as good as it was set up to be, and, in many ways, as it good as it once was concerning the points raised. I share Robert Spencer’s obvious acknowledgement of the Declaration of Independence as a vitally important document concerning what the United States was formed into. I acknowledge that denying the full importance of the Declaration of Independence makes it easier to deny the fight for the second American Revolution. I was amazed that one of my history professors actually did that.
Moving forward in history, consider the first point. This point is an important element in republicanism. The US was founded as a constitutional republic. The consent of the governed concept is synonymous to self-rule to me. I believe this element was destined to fail in respect to what existed before when in 1861, the US invaded the South. It did fail during the war in the North and the South. But the North won the war, so it is important to consider the 14th amendment and how its passage (Or to be more precise, its entire failure to ever be legally passed.) and implementation have greatly insulted the notion that self-rule is likely to ever exist in the US as it once did.
Point #2, equality of rights before the law,” is also an element of republicanism to the extent that it acknowledges rule of law. This gets complicated for me the more I think about it. At least it is easy to say that this is not an advocacy of equality of outcome. Many religious people disdain natural rights perceiving them scientific while many scientific types disdain natural rights as based in religion. I believe natural rights exist and that I am morally obligated to recognize these rights as long as my natural rights are recognized. Concerning legal issues, I agree with the popular interpretation of the cited Declaration passage. When considering the privilege to vote, I do not know anymore. I do not know who should have the privilege to vote. Most people think everyone over a certain age should have the privilege today. In the nineteenth century most people did not believe that black people were fully human, or that women should vote. For me, the best I can come up with is that there should be an IQ test to vote, just like there is an IQ test to join the military.
Point #3 is freedom of speech. In spite of attacks against free speech, the US is the best country in the world regarding free speech. I am a free speech absolutist. This does not mean that I believe that all speech should be permitted, but I have a more broadly acceptable tolerance for speech I strongly disagree with. Free speech absolutism strongly correlates to intelligence. As IQ goes up, free speech absolutism goes up. Free speech is a foundational right. Those who have the privilege to vote should be able to conceptualize concepts of natural rights, though all should be protected under the rule of law.
Point #4 is freedom of religion. The founders meant this as a restriction on the federal government. We do not have a federal government anymore. We now have a national government. The modern interpretation of Jefferson’s letter concerning a wall of separation between government and religion becomes more delusional as misunderstanding of the letter and Jefferson increases over time. Jefferson always took his oath to defend the Constitution seriously, even if he disagreed with the Constitution (He did sometimes.) and even if he did not like what the sovereign states did (He did perceive the states as sovereign.).The only exception I know of might have been the Louisiana Purchase. I am not sure he was authorized to do that. Almost everyone now agrees that it was a good thing he did. But New England states objected and threatened to secede numerous times. I wish that had just gone ahead and did it considering what came later. Other accusations that Jefferson did not follow the Constitution I found to be without merit.

I do not think that. The problem of intelligence concerning governing of people is nestled in a bigger problem of humanity getting dumber. It is wrong to limit the choices of voters. Certainly there are some very ignorant members of congress and I do not begrudge them their “service” even if it saddens me. I do believe that many issues would be better handled if there were minimum mental qualifications for voters, like there already are for the military. There is a minimum IQ that was established by the military a long time ago. Those below that IQ have been determined to be more trouble than anything that they are likely to contribute.

Ashkenazi jews tend on average to have very high IQs. That does not mean that Ashkenazi Jews are best to run governments. Mental issues exist aside from intelligence. For example, there is a tendency of those with high IQs to be low in conscientiousness and empathy. I think this is true statistically of Ashkenazi Jews as well. I support Israel and would not wish for them to be generally ruled by Ashkenazi jews, at least Ashkenazi Jews alone. The United States had towering geniuses among its founders. I am very fortunate that this was the case because their formative documents even today contribute to my life in the best country in the world. There is not much that I can do, but I believe that understanding various issues and being willing to meet them head on may slow decline.

He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire on his home, saying it was no longer his home but was now the headquarters of the enemy. The home was subsequently destroyed. Nelson died bankrupt.
Frances Lewis had his home and properties destroyed by the British. They jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year, he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and all of his 13 children vanished. He never saw them again.
The two patriots most responsible for the Declaration of Independence, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, both died on the same day: July 4, 1826-the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration. Daniel Webster gave the eulogy for both men on August 2 of that year. He concluded his remarks with these words:
“It [the Declaration of Independence] is my living sentiment, and by the blessing of God, it shall be my dying sentiment. Independence now and independence forever.”
Amen! This should be the living and dying sentiment of every American:
Independence now and independence forever.

These things have been rolling around in my mind for some time. With these groups, islam, antifa, etc, they are terrorists and operate in that mode of warfare. But one strategy is to try to get into their minds to anticipate the thinking of one’s enemy. They obviously think they are right. But they are not. Some claim to support freedom while others don’t, or only as false advertisement. If a peaceful deal cannot be reached by reason and discussion, and the other side insists on continued violence, war is inevitable. Their logic is off, their thinking is wrong, their strategies and actions are false and self contradictory. In the case of the left, they want to win their way by silencing others. In the name of opposing fascism, they use the tactics of fascism to suppress their opponents. What can be more Orwellian? And after they supposedly win, of course then there will be sudden freedom for all of society, with no more censorship or coercion. Oh sure! And how much swampland do they also want to sell us???
If one could convince them of this, great! But if not, they will remain hell bent on violence and there will be no other means to oppose them aside from violence as well. Yes, we must continue to fight. We must also keep all the possibilities in mind and be prepared.
Remain ever vigilant!

Antifa vandals are accused of defacing an American flag mural on the side of a veteran-owned restaurant in New Paltz, New York.
Maria Lisanti runs La Bella Pizza Bistro. Lisanti’s restaurant became the epicenter of a political debate after she allowed an American flag mural to be painted on the side of her restaurant.
In response, she faced backlash and protests from those who believed her mural was politically motivated.
Joey Garcia, a New Platz resident and veteran, couldn’t believe Lisanti was facing this backlash for her mural and wanted to show his support for her and the American flag.
Garcia hosted an American flag appreciation event to support Lisanti, but it ended up attracting the ire of antifa protesters. They carried signs that said, “What is there to be proud of?” and accused those supporting the event of racism.
“They didn’t want a flag. They thought that it meant a political position and they were opposed. […] I did have a few people come in and say they couldn’t support my store any longer because they felt that I took a political position, so they couldn’t spend their money.”
Garcia explained that he felt the protesters were there to intimidate Lisanti and shout down discourse rather than promote free speech, as traditional protesters would do.
“They disagree with it, so they’d rather it just go away and not be there. They didn’t want us to be out there [supporting the flag] that day. We had 400 or 500 of us. There was, like, 20 of them. Our chants were ‘U.S.A.!’, their chants you can’t say on TV.”
Although the mural was destroyed, Garcia was able to raise money to have it replaced.

Happy 4th of July America loving patriots. I have been watching this weeks America hating leftist parade and I don’t see any way our nation can continue in freedom and independence without their removal. Today they are showing their utter disdain for the Republic, the 4th of July and America loving patriots. Refugees are swarming our border trying to get in while the vile left burn our flag, scream death to America as they insult every patriotic American living and or dead. The vile left deserves to join a column of refugees leaving this country that they so obviously hate. Witnessing that would truly make this a great 4th of July. When this erstwhile leader visited Australia in 2012, he spoke at a local university. In answer to a question about ‘9/11’, Ihsonoglu replied, “That was a great mistake for us, because now we have had to confront the West before we were ready.” I was dumbfounded that the man could have been so brazen in his reply – as was the plain clothes policeman sitting nearby. We both shook our heads in disbelief. There were a few other questions about jihad etc, which he summarily dismissed; and after I asked him why the Quran contained so many violent verses against Jews and Christians, the dhimmi MC spoke up and said that “all religions contain violence” – and he then closed the meeting a half hour early. Perhaps Ihsonoglu thought that his audience were all Muslims or a group of students doing Middle East studies.

One writer who a great influence in shaping US history was Thomas Paine .In one of his books which is titled THE AGE OF REASON Mr Paine wrote a sentence that may be applied to the religion of Islam.
