Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Nigeria: Kidnapped aid worker says Muslims killed Christian girl for refusing to renounce Christ

Jul 30, 2019 3:00 pm By Robert Spencer

Leah Sharibu may be still alive, and we hope she is, but there is no doubt that the Nigerian government has done nothing about her plight or that of the persecuted Christians of that country.

“Aid Worker: Boko Haram Killed Schoolgirl for Refusing to Renounce Christ,” by Edwin Mora, Breitbart, July 25, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Jihadis from the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL)-linked Boko Haram killed a 16-year-old Christian schoolgirl in captivity for refusing to renounce her Christian faith and convert to Islam, a kidnapped aid worker claimed in a video released this week.

Grace Taku, an aid worker from the non-governmental organization (NGO) Action Against Hunger (ACF), blamed the death of the schoolgirl — Leah Sharibu — and another captive identified only as “Alice” on the Nigerian government’s failure to fight for her release. Taku herself was kidnapped along with five other ACF workers on July 18.

She also held the Nigerian government responsible for the deaths of two Red Cross workers — identified only as Hauwa and Kabura — and a different aid worker, Alice.

Taku’s comments were captured on a nearly three-minute video, which reportedly disseminated online Wednesday by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a breakaway Boko Haram faction.

The footage purportedly shows Taku imploring her employer, the prominent Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and the Nigerian government to “do something” to secure their release and prevent them from suffering the same lethal fate as some of the captives, according to a transcript of the video carried by Nigeria’s Premium Times.

After highlighting the death of the two Red Cross workers, Taku beseeched, fighting to hold back her tears:

Do something to see that we are released. … I am begging on behalf of all of us here that please Nigeria should not allow such [death] to happen to us. And it also happen again with Leah [Sharibu] and Alice – because Nigeria could not do anything about them they were not released; they were also killed.

Some analysts have questioned the claim that Sharibu is dead, urging caution about jumping to conclusions….

In audio that surfaced in August 2018, Sharibu supplicated the Nigerian government, “Treat me with compassion, I am calling on the government, particularly, the President to pity me and get me out of this serious situation.”…

So many Christians are killed in Nigeria for their faith every year (2000 +), this must be considered a jihad-genocide.

Many thousands of Muslims are leaving Islam in Nigeria every year, because it is so obvious that Islam is backward and counterintellectual, leading to stagnation, corruption and woodenheadedness.

Muslims know that Islam and progress do not coexist because of the Islamic teaching of ‘BIDA’ which forbids progress.

    ………………………

I hope these Jihadist thugs are lying and that Leah Sharibu is till alive. But they have slaughtered so many Christians that they may well have murdered this poor girl in cold blood.

    God, I hate Islam.

I would rather be in heaven in the glory of Jesus’ presence than still in that situation for so long.
And the future is only going to get worse in the world.
I pray for God’s will for her and therefore all the best.
One day I will see her lovely face again.

Islam is a wicked ideology founded on the devil’s lies! The Jihadi murderers are disgusting – that they murder innocent and defenceless women and girls!
IF they were true warriors they would fight man with man – but those Jihadi’s are weak woosies and murder the weak and defenceless!
Shame on the Nigerian Government! They should ask for international help to rescue the women and girls!

Agreed. Perhaps at last Britain will do something. I wonder if we give aid to Nigeria.

When Boko Haram brutalizes a predominately Muslim village in Borno State and other northern states, it seems to grab a little bit of Buhari’s attention but when it is a Christian as in this sad incident, he seems to care not one iota. When the Fulani sub-humans slaughter entire villages, he does not even lift an eyebrow. Sooner or later, the Christians will have to stand up wipe these animals of the face of the earth. President Trump should cut off all the USAID aid that lines the pockets of the likes of Buhari’s pockets until the government begins to protect the Christians through out Nigeria. Both infectious plights could be eliminated in a matter of weeks if he ordered the Nigerian army to perform its function of protecting the innocent.

I am compelled to ask the question again. Where are the Christian preachers when it come to the persecution of Christians? I have had preachers nit pick about a person going to dance or a movie or having a beer or a lottery ticket. But they are silent on this. What a shame.

The hypocrisy of the #me too feminist is beyond mention. Where are they?

      Eric,
Preaching I’m afraid will have little impact.
Jesus told us that we his redeemed would suffer persecution. Our battle is not against humans but is against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. The weapons of our warfare are heavenly to pull down strongholds.
Only a worldwide Christian revival will turn matters round.
When we start to implore the Lord Jesus to glorify himself through us will matters change.
This part of future prophecy is often quoted without the final statement.
“…….And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death………” (Revelation 12)
It’s not hard to understand why it is missed out – Christians don’t want to be martyrs -unlike this young brave Nigerian Christian.

      • CRUSADER says

        Jul 31, 2019 at 10:36 am

Many churches conveniently pass over Revelation passages and do not attempt to address or explain it for assemblies. (Remember, fellow Christians, the encouragement; that in the end — we win!)

[“We Win” is a great song by MercyMe]

Indeed, modern Christians have currently lost contact with the necessity of becoming martyrs and saints. Too many have little understanding of the the full Gospel.

More church leaders feel they are social justice leaders instead….

I heard from church leaders at Episcopal and Presbyterian annual gatherings whereby the top 10 topics for churches to focus on would not contemplate Persecution of Christians. Instead they told me to take on the issue as an individual and wished me luck. They embrace relativistic ideology and dilute faith.

        What a bunch of hypocrites!

        And, here’s this:

For you dastardly Muslims reading this, I am sure you are encouraged by this diminishment of Christian fervor. But realize, please, that you follow a “River of Blood” belief, and a false faith, and are doomed if you do not repent and convert away from Islam.

          Jul 31, 2019 at 11:01 am

And it is also true that “the blood of martyrs is seed”. A martyr of course is a person who is killed for their faith (by opponents of that faith) – not someone who kills themselves and in so doing murders as many others as they can! The seed of true martyrs will be many people coming to faith through their witness. We may not see this happening yet in Nigeria, but it will happen because our God is faithful.
