Pakistan: Christian cleared of blasphemy charges after suffering torture in prison at insistence of Muslim groups

Jul 13, 2019 9:00 am By Robert Spencer

“He allegedly suffered mistreatment amounting to torture while in custody for six weeks when investigators were said to have been under pressure from hard-line religious groups.”

This is a glimpse into the future of the West. Presently in Western countries, foes of jihad terror are simply defamed, marginalized, vilified and deplatforming. Prison and torture are the next steps for the incorrigibles. Our friend and ally Pakistan is leading the way.

“Pakistan court frees pastor charged with blasphemy,” by Kamran Chaudhry, UCA News, July 12, 2019:

A court in the Pakistani city of Lahore has acquitted a Pentecostal preacher two years after his arrest for alleged desecration of Islam’s holy book, the Quran, and insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

Judge Zafar Iqbal cleared Jadoon Masih of charges under the nation’s penal code.

Masih, an ordained pastor of the Nasiri Pentecostal Church, was arrested by law enforcement officers on Feb. 2, 2017, two months after local Muslims reputedly found 150 pages of the Quran lying on the ground.

Some 100 of these pages were said to have been “martyred,” according to a complaint filed at a local police station.

The name of a Christian faith healer named Babu Shahbaz was said to have been inscribed on the pages with a blue marker pen. It was alleged that a similar incident occurred in 2016. Shahbaz is now heading the Nasiri Church in Kamahan village near Lahore.

Lahore’s High Court released Masih on bail in 2017. However, the 50-year-old kept living in hiding with his six children while his case was still under trial.

His defense attorney, Nadeem Anthony, told ucanews.com that although technically free, the pastor was not able to return to his church and had become a heart patient.

He allegedly suffered mistreatment amounting to torture while in custody for six weeks when investigators were said to have been under pressure from hard-line religious groups.

The Catholic lawyer has successfully defended four Christians and one Muslim woman who were all accused of blasphemy.

The alleged insulting of Islam has sparked lynchings in the Muslim-majority country. Hundreds of Pakistani Christians have fled abroad to avoid persecution and possibly death because of their religious beliefs….

PAKISTAN’S BLASPHEMY LAW IS INHERENTLY UNJUST, BECAUSE IT IS SO EASILY EXPLOITED BY DISHONEST MUSLIMS. A false accusation motivated by base reasons (such as greed or spite or personal dislike) is often enough to start a slander against a non-Muslim and under Sharia law, the kafir’s word is of less account than the word of a Muslim.

In the matter of blasphemy accusations, Muslims believe that a kafir’s word is without value, he doesn’t deserve mercy and that a trial is an unnecessary waste of time. The mullahs want the kafirs to ‘know their place’ in the Islamic state. They want to skip any testing of the facts and proceed directly from accusation to the punishment of a kafir.

Meanwhile, facebook, twitter and google are gradually imposing Sharia blasphemy law in their systems imposing de facto Sharia law even in formerly free Western countries.

There are no dishonest muslims, how dare you! With taqiyyah they are allowed to lie or trick according to satan , I mean allah…. oh, what’s the difference. Talk about intolerance and hate, that’s what comes to mind when I hear the word islam. What a bunch of self righteous pigs, yes PIGS, double down on the bacon please.

There is no such thing anyway as blasphemy against islam or anything related to it, since none of it is sacred. There is only blasphemy against Christianity; what is in the Bible. Of course I’m speaking from the perspective of God’s reality. On that note, we could institute similar laws here in the West and go after any muslims simply for disagreeing with what is in the Bible (i.e.; teaching the koran, etc.). But we don’t, because that is the difference between us and them. And like many have said, they use their aggressive ways to invade, and then use civilized society’s ways against them to succeed further with invading. For instance, using freedom of religion…can we go over to a muslim country and build a new church? Exactly. But can muslims enter the West and build a mosque? Exactly. And that is the problem I’m referring to. So it’s good that we are not like them, but we must be on guard not to be too flexible with them as well. I would simply say, “No, you cannot build a mosque here, because we cannot build churches there. Or for every new mosque, we must be able to build a NEW church over there, and for every church attacked over there or here by muslims, a mosque here will close.” Sure they will cry over it about how ‘unfair’ that is, etc. But oh well, it’s not.

    “insulting the Prophet Muhammad”

I’d like to think ‘journalistic’ references to ‘the Prophet Muhammad’ are unique to a news outlet which concentrates on Asia, but I’d be fooling myself.

Do they ever ask themselves what Mo actually prophesied?

Not to diminish this story and the horrid conditions suffered….

But, just… Food for Further Thought:
    ————————————————-

A court in the French city of Grenoble has acquitted a Moslem woman two years after her arrest for alleged desecration of French laws, and insulting the sensibilities of French people by her wearing a burkini at a public swimming pool…..

She allegedly suffered mistreatment amounting to torture while in custody for six weeks when investigators were said to have been under pressure from hard-line legalistic groups. She then was eventually released….

The only real reason that Muslim nations, as Pakistan, have “blasphemy laws” enacted is because Islam, with its many falsehoods, is such a weak and fragile religion that it can stand up to or hold up to criticism, at all. No matter how very mild those criticisms might be.

Does it make a bit of difference that he was ordered freed?
How many of those accused of blasphemy have been freed from prison after being found innocent of the charge, only to be killed by a mob for the very charge that the court found not guilty?
How many have been killed for insulting Islam before they could be arrested and tried? The official response to their murder has been “Inshalllah:.

Pakistan: Christian cleared of blasphemy charges after suffering torture in prison at insistence of Muslim groups
    ……………………..

And will Jadoon Masih be safe now? So often, as noted, even when Christians or other Infidels are released by the Pakistani courts, they are then murdered by the Muslim mob.

    More:

…local Muslims reputedly found 150 pages of the Quran lying on the ground.

Some 100 of these pages were said to have been “martyred,” according to a complaint filed at a local police station.
    ……………………..

How insane *is this*–they think an inanimate object can be “martyred”, but think that torture of innocent people is fine.

And it must have been obvious that Masih was innocent, or the biased court never would have released him. So there is a good chance that he was set up by his Muslim neighbors. Will they leave him alone now? I would not count on it…
