The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is ostensibly a Communist organization, but it is wholly aligned with the jihad force. Ghassan Kanafani was responsible for the murder of 17 Christians, as well as eight Israelis, but that doesn’t matter to the Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church. Being woke is ultimately a suicidal act, but at least the members of Trinity-St. Paul’s can congratulate themselves that they were never “racist” when their own time comes and their jihadi friends turn on them.
“B’nai Brith Canada slams church for assisting event honoring PFLP terrorist,” by Ilanit Chernick, Jerusalem Post, July 7, 2019:
B’nai Brith Canada has condemned a decision by Toronto’s Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church to “provide a space” for an event that honors Ghassan Kanafani, a designated Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist.
The event, which is being hosted by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) on July 13, is listed as the Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts Scholarship Launch.
According to PYM’s Facebook invitation, the event will “be an evening of spoken word, music, and food to celebrate the artistic and cultural contributions of Palestinians in the diaspora and showcase the winners of the Ghassan Kanafani Resistance Arts Scholarship in this years anthology entitled ‘We feel a country in our bones.’”
Kanafani and the PFLP, were responsible for the Lod Airport Massacre in May, 1972, that left 26 civilians dead – including a Canadian, 17 Christian pilgrims from Puerto Rico and eight Israelis – and 80 others injured.
At the time of the terror attack, Kanafani was the spokesman for the terrorist group.
In response to the event, B’nai Brith Canada started a petition on Friday calling on the church not to host the scholarship launch.
In the letter that is set to accompany the petition, B’nai Brith Canada pointed out to the church that “the ‘Palestinian Youth Movement,’ the group holding this event in your church, has also hailed Mohammad Tareq, a Palestinian terrorist who stabbed three Israelis,” in the settlement of Adam last July.
At the time, PYM stated that, “we recognize that our youth are forced into becoming heroes because of the conditions in which they live, and that the people of Palestine will continue to resist until our land and our people are liberated from the river to the sea.” The movement also translated Tareq’s final message prior to the attack, in which he advocated violence against Jews and Zionists across Israel….
The organization added that a “Trinity-St. Paul’s spokesperson claimed that the PYM had provided a statement that it did not promote or condone violence,” and had since not responded to subsequent communications.

I hope they put out a large banner saying “Welcome to Hog Town.”

The United Church of Canada, formerly a Christian church, along with atheists of Jewish ancestry, led the fight for the establishment of Abortion Wrongs in Canada. It is united in sin.
Robert_k says
Sort of like the United Church of Mein Kampf.
Mike says
I don’t care about the abortion issue, but “The United Church of Canada, formerly a Christian church, along with atheists of Jewish ancestry” describes so much of the problem that we see that I just couldn’t pass up a “CHEER” for that one!
The United Church isn’t Christian any more. I realized that when I saw their web site recently – it’s more about social justice than about Christianity. They just keep the Christian stuff around not to get cut out of the will of some older members who don’t fully realize what happened yet.
Leftist secular “progressive” Jews are similar. They just use their Jewish ancestry as an extra weapon for the “progressive” cause, and do heavy damage to their fellow citizens – especially the Jewish ones, who are often the first victims of, say, Mass Muslim Migration… exactly the kind of thing promoted by these types!
The whole thing would be funny if it weren’t so sad.
Danforth says
Sad alright. A United Church in Calgary gives up its basement dining room to dozens of Muslims for their Friday prayers. Does this make this historic church a mosque now?
JM says
Well, it will do once the basement dining room is full to overflowing and the muslim worshippers need the rest of the building for their prayers.
Talk about suicidal!

So many in the West act just like sheep to the slaughter.
James says
Appeasement of evil. They probably think that if one displays love it will be reciprocated. But we know that is often not the case. The Palestinians are willing to take anything they are offered, but they do not give up the goal of having it all. Not part of the pie but the whole thing.
Tom says
James unfortunately the Christian philosophy of “love thy neighbour as thyself” is being leveraged and used by Islam as a wedge into the basic societal values we hold in the west.
Islam has a very pervasive and systemic method of gaining empathy and then turning that empathy around to its advantage.
It is a strategy that has been perfected over 1400 years of Jihad.
The difference is that for hundreds of years Islam was in direct conflict with a society based on strong Christian beliefs.
Today many of those professing Christianity are but empty vessels giving lip service to Christianity.
Angemon says
Well, if they say so it must be true then – who ever heard of a muslim or communist organization lying?…
JM says
Exactly! How could one NOT believe them? I mean, it isn’t as if either islam or communism has a history of violence, is it?!
Now where is that bridge I had for sale?

“From the river to the sea” means the total destruction of the nation of Israel and the death of all Jews.
The people of the church, in inviting this celebration of satanic evil into their midst, to eat and drink…are “eating and drinking at the table of demons.” One cannot eat and drink with satan and his demons and at the same time eat and drink with The One True and Holy God. They may as well just give the church building to the moslims in the area and stop calling it anything to do with the Apostle Paul, who wrote the verses about having a “sharing with demons” not “eating at the table of demons.”
Terry Gain says
The United Church is not Christian. Christ taught us that human lied is sacred. The United Church believes that human life has only utilitarian value.
somehistory says
And I didn’t say the church was “Christian.” I only said what the Bible says about having a “sharing with the demons.”
Any “church” that uses names from the Bible, should care about what the Bible says and will have the Judgments of the Bible as whet the church and its members can look **forward** to receiving…for good or detrimental.
BTW, Genesis teaches readers that “life is sacred.” That is a lesson anyone can learn.
Terry Gain says
I wasn’t criticizing you. Stop being so sensitive.
somehistory says
It wouldn’t matter if you were “criticizing” me. I just replied to your comment. Stop trying to show how superior you think you are, and trying to judge from words on a page how others feel. You are wrong a lot.
jewdog says
A lot of the mainline Protestant churches have become allied with left-wing causes, which they consider enlightened, including the “Palestinian” issue. In retaliation, Jews should organize picketing of this church.
Given the very well-documented violence directed at Christians by Muslims around the world, one can only wonder how the organizers of this event mentally compartmentalize that violence from what Israel faces. They must either be extremely ignorant, or very bigoted, or probably both.
There’s nothing enlightened about jihad.
Terry Gain says
There is nothing enlightened about anyone who thinks Islam is benign. This includes most Christian leadership and my Pope.
Tom says
A disgusting show of appeasement by a Christian church. Obviously following the lead of their pretend Pope.
Terry Gain says
The United Church has no use for any Pope. Except perhaps this one.

The church pastor could ask the scholarship about Ghassan Kanafani’s terrorist attack jihadi Jew-hatred and how the attack squares with the scholarship’s statement of not “promote or condone violence?”

Toronto: Church provides space for event honoring “Palestinian” terrorist responsible for jihad massacre
……………….
Just appalling. Thanks to the B’nai B’rith for exposing this.
UNCLE VLADDI says
No surprise. The United Church of Canada are all communists and Toronto is libtard central.
Lorensacho says
The church has come to its senses and has cancelled the event.
Giacomo Latta says
It has not come to its senses. It has sensed bad publicity. It shall soon be hosting another bunch of terrorists or their sympathizers, under the radar, they hope.
