My latest in PJ Media:
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has been heavily criticized for apparently trivializing the 9/11 jihad attacks when she characterized them as “some people did something.” However, in a recent interview (with Al Jazeera, which is as anti-Semitic as she is), Omar revealed what was really important to her about those attacks, in which 3,000 Americans were killed: she wanted to make sure that in light of them, no one thought ill of Islam or blamed all Muslims: “What is important,” she said, “is the larger point that I was speaking to, which is about making sure that blame isn’t placed on a whole faith, that we as Muslims are not collectively blamed for the actions of terrorists,” Omar added.
We hear this often: jihad terror attacks are committed only by a minuscule fringe of the global Islamic community, and so it is of paramount importance that we not point fingers at Muslims in the aggregate, or at Islam itself, as if they were responsible for those attacks.
And of course it’s true. No one should ever be held responsible for something which with he or she had nothing to do, and no one should blame innocent Muslims for the actions of terrorists. Everyone takes that for granted. But Ilhan Omar’s words to Al Jazeera only obfuscate the fact that jihad terrorists are indeed galvanized by teachings of Islam that mandate everlasting war against the infidel.
There is much more. Read the rest here.

She only says what she is told to say. So her statement means that the organisers and paymasters of terrorism should not be held responsible for the actions of the men who obey them.
This is totally immoral and in long term policing terms stupid. The man who gives the orders should get twice the punishment. A murderer could be hung until dead. The organiser of the murder could be hung for a few minutes then castrated and burnt to death.

Let’s settle this once and for all. The only one who can be blamed for having the ideas of be-headings and knifes is all in one place, no need to look for two years when it takes only minutes to find it. The book of the sword. The Quran is the only basis for any action of the Muslims. They only have the Imams to blame for being the blame for the atrocities of the world. The Quran is in full opposite of the facts, and stands in the truth. The truth is only for the people using it. Truth is an instance of quoting one or many of the facts while describing or discussing the subject. The difference between truth and fact is that fact is something that cannot be combated with reasoning, for it is logic itself. But truth is something which depends on a person’s perspective and experience. The Quran does not have the facts, the Quran is a book of truth, the truth that is the creation of Islam only. If it was facts, people would know the real meaning, and leaving the truth to Imams who are just Politicians hiding behind a false religion is as true as they say it is, but not the facts of anything pertaining to the Universe which they cant even understand either. If you follow the FACTS, things will never be false. If you follow the truth you will follow anything into the pit. You don’t need to investigate the facts, but there is an unending investigation of truths, as they can’t be pinned down to any Facts.

She’s dead wrong and here’s why: No other major religion’s theological blueprint except Islam’s authorizes the use of force by its believers to ensure that their religion becomes dominant across all the earth.
Every major religion threatens people with a very bad afterlife for not doing or believing this, that or the other thing. Every major religion also threatens people with possible punishment in this world by the deity or deities they believe in. But only Islam, among major religions, issues a “third threat,” i.e., that its own believers can use force in this world in order for their religion to be dominant on earth.
Herein lies the key to why Islam is such a menace to mankind as no other major religion remotely is. It is all tied up with the “third threat.” Take this third threat away from Islam (though you’d have to gut the Koran, hadiths, sira and the pronouncements of all the major Islamic schools of theology to do so and this is part of the reason why I think Islam incapable of reform) and then it just becomes “another religion,” spouting threats about what happens in the afterlife and what a deity might do to you here on earth, blah, blah, blah—and thus no threat to such good things as overall liberty and equality under the law here on this planet.
But, the “third threat” has not been taken away, now has it? Not even remotely. And this is why every supporter of Islam, whether Muslim or an obsequious dhimmi, gets a very big “something” that can happen to a very big amount of “some people” egregiously wrong, actually lethally ass-backwards to put it more bluntly.
Like Omar. Or the present pontifex maximus. Or George W. Bush. Or Tony Blair. Or Theresa May. Or Western elites in academia and the media by the bushel full.
Think the “third threat.” Minus it a site would like Jihad Watch would not have to exist. With it, a site like Jihad Watch is invaluable. Yes indeed, when it comes down to it, about overall freedom, equality under the law, women’s rights, fine beer and pork BBQ, not to mention overall fun, the damn “third threat” of Islam is where the real blame belongs. By now one knows this or should know it.

“The Third Jihad”
— Overcoming Radical Islam’s Plan for the West
by Michael Youssef
Radical Islam has been waging war against our global civilization throughout history—and now, it’s closer than ever to American soil. Dr. Michael Youssef, a Coptic Christian who was born in Egypt and now leads a megachurch in America, knows from firsthand experience that radical Islamists have goals that many American Christians believe are “unthinkable.” In this book, he warns Western Christians that it doesn’t help to ignore what’s going on. There’s a third jihad underway, and its goal is to take over the West.
The Third Jihad is a call for Christians to defend their families, protect their nation, and boldly share the good news of Jesus with their communities—especially their Muslim neighbors.
Packed with surprising insights from history, compelling and dramatic stories, and a practical agenda that one person—or one church—can immediately put into practice to make a difference in the world. Rich in encouraging biblical principles and prophetic insights, The Third Jihad leads the reader to an empowering conclusion in our troubling (and even frightening) times.
Michael Youssef’s insights will inspire Christians to take their faith seriously, share their faith freely, and to truly be salt and light in a world of increasing darkness and decay.

Wellington,
You have brilliantly distilled down the clear and present danger of Islam – the “third threat”.
Much thanks…
What the heck, it’s Saturday afternoon – enjoy some fine beer and a pork BBQ!
Wellington says
Thanks, James.
Yes, It all comes down to Islam’s unique “third threat” among the major religions of the world. Wish some like “lebel” would address this. Hell, wish folks like Republicans and Democrats would grasp this too.
Anyone who tries to pass off Islam as just another major religion MUST ignore the third threat I have mentioned. Don’t think George W. Bush gets this at all. Ditto for Pope Francis and other silly people like Macron, Merkel and Trudeau.
Having that fine beer with salami, cheese and crackers as I write this to you, James. Delicious. Hope you and yours are well and well away for the day, optimally forever, from the “third threat,” compliments solely of Mo’s creed.
You know, not characterizing something correctly is a mistake. When not characterizing Islam correctly it can be life-defeating and nation-destroying. Yes, this is how terrible Islam truly is. You’d think by now most everyone would have gotten this. But ain’t there yet—and so Islam continues to “prosper.”

In the case of the 1st and 2nd Threats
— where Christianity is concerned, and stemming from Judaism ✡️
— the First has to do with rejecting our walk with God’s Will, and how separation makes us feel the suffering of that, eventually even if we don’t see that or feel that now, while we express our free wills and we engage in our individualized lifestyles…
— the Second has to do with how we exist in a Fallen World, and are susceptible to the hazards of it, and to the influences of furthering sin and to the workings of demonic persuasions, distractions and deceptions….
“….Every major religion threatens people with a very bad afterlife for not doing or believing this, that or the other thing. Every major religion also threatens people with possible punishment in this world by the deity or deities they believe in. “

In the case of Christ coming at 1st, He came to comfort and to warn us out of deep care and longing to have us come to His bosom. In the case of Christ coming a 2nd time, that is when threat becomes palpable, but we are being given plenty of chances and examples to repent prior to then by our Redeemer.
Wellington says
But my overriding point here, CRUSADER, is that the first two threats do not impinge upon liberty here on earth. Islam’s “third threat” most definitely does.
Not being religious in the least, I don’t give a damn about the first two threats (except in the sense that it helps to retard the worst in the human condition and does give many hope). Others might care about these first two threats, indeed multitudes do, but I don’t. But being invested in the importance of liberty on planet Earth, I most definitely care about Islam’s unique “third threat.”
The “third threat” of Islam is, in microcosm, why Islam serves as the turd in the punch bowl of world religions, to put it less than politely, which I regularly like to do when I can where Islam is concerned.
Wellington says
Not to sound or be irreverent, CRUSADER, but I simply don’t believe in Jesus or anyone else as a Redeemer. I think all religions are fairy tales and one, Islam, is a very menacing fairy tale.
May I suggest your reading Michael Grant’s tome, Jesus: An Historian’s Review of the Gospels, as indicative of where I am coming from on the “matter” of Jesus.
But know full well that I would enthusiastically welcome all Muslims waking up tomorrow devout Christians. My skepticism of all religion does not extend to not seeing how one religion, in this case, Christianity, is infinitely preferable to some other religion, in this case, Islam.
I am keenly interested in responsible freedom and true equality under the law here on earth. Christianity’s and Judaism’s theological designs are in accord with these. Islam’s is not. Therefore, I can endorse the Judeo-Christian ethic without embracing its theology while I reject, vehemently, both the Islamic ethic and its theology.
CRUSADER says
Indeed, Wellington.

You forgot to add that ‘allah’ (according to Mohamm) promises rich rewards in paradise for killing infidels. At least to the men.
Wellington says
I did not forget, w, since the “Islamic promise” you mentioned is not a threat but rather a reward.
It’s a moronic, childlike, never-gonna’ happen reward, but it influences confused Mohammedans (at least the men as you mentioned) to this very day. It’s utter stupidity and nonsense but it’s not a threat but rather an enticing promise.
Of course, every last one believing in this BS should be held in contempt, only the degree of contempt being a variable and which is dependent on the ardor with which the confused Mohammedan (excuse the redundancy) buys into this Islamic rot.

There is no such thing as ‘collective guilt,’ and with the new propaganda of ‘white privilege,’ it is based on that logical fallacy. Anyway, the problem with her comment is that islam IS responsible, since the koran is the one that mandates such terrorism. The ‘few’ that carry it out are living out the muslim faith, the rest are the exception that don’t obey the commands of islam, however many or few they be. So yes, we can judge the blame to be on the religion of islam. That in contrast to some other religion that has no such mandates, and a few lone crazies commit terrorism in contradiction to the commands of their religion. But of course then they will blame the whole religion and everyone in that religious group, knowing their backwards thinking. We need to come up with a new term for it. I propose: Backwardthink!
CRUSADER says
Oh but there can be collective shame.
Villagers who do not protect girls from being taken, rapped, murdered…
for instance….
elee says
I’m not sure shame, or a sense of moral responsibility, is part of Islam. The Muslim is specifically directed not to deliberate about this stuff: Koran 81:30; 33:37. I can’t recall ever hearing a Muslim express shame about the millions they have slain, maimed, raped and/or enslaved, nor can I recall any Muslim other than Maajid Nawaz suggesting that one should not emulate every last barbarity claimed by or ascribed to their Prophet.
CRUSADER says
As quite a few authors mention from their studies in the Middle East about the Arabs, the Bedouin culture is steeped in a social system of shame, and thus why blood for blood only will solve deep rooted animosity and why daughters must be killed up on “disgracing” the men’s pride….. etc….
Guilt is a different matter. No guilt felt. No empathy possible.
Islam is hugely influenced by Arab Bedouin tribal ways.
Not divinely inspired at all, but purely from pagan roots and Bedouin blood lineage with a heavy dose of male ego, blood thirsty demonism.
That’s Islam in a nutshell. Words in Koran are just raided and pillaged and pieces together as an excuse for a burgeoning empire….
CRUSADER says
ISLAM ☪️ = Shame Culture blended into a sham religion!
Although shame and guilt may seem similar, shame is highly correlated with addiction, depression, and aggression. In contrast, guilt is linked to empathy and understanding other perspectives.
What’s the difference?
Shame is a focus on self, guilt is a focus on behavior.
Shame is, “I am bad.” Guilt is, “I did something bad.”
How many of you, if you did something that was hurtful, would be willing to say, “I’m sorry. I made a mistake?”
How many of you would be willing to say that?
Guilt: I’m sorry. I made a mistake.
Shame: I’m sorry. I am a mistake.
But it’s not just a petty matter of semantics.
Shame is highly, highly correlated with addiction, depression, violence, aggression, bullying, suicide…
Guilt is inversely correlated with those things. The ability to hold something we’ve done, or failed to do, up against who we want to be is incredibly adaptive. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s adaptive.
Clinical psychologist Mary C. Lamia explained in “Psychology Today” that bullies are particularly shame-prone. She wrote, “That means they are afraid their failures or shortcomings will be exposed. A person can have problems with shame and still have high self-esteem, and this is what makes a person act like a bully.”
Shame contributes to violence and anger arousal.
Islam is rank with Shame Culture of Bedouin origins. Nothing divine nor inspiring about it!

Jihad has been nipping at the heels and toes and hands of various civilizations and cultures and sects for centuries, yet that message and the lesson from this seem still to fall flat mainly upon deaf ears and blind eyes, generation after generation, despite what history clearly has demonstrated.
Think of how dense people are, and it has been described for us that people are very much like dim-witted sheep who do not learn well and need extreme amount of care and guidance. How each of us falls short of our potentials. No wonder we need a Savior and Redeemer !
Aussie Infidel says
Omar is just another Muslim apologist for Muhammad’s hate-fueled medieval madness. All Muslims were not blamed for the 9/11 jihadist attacks – or any of the thousands of others which have occurred. The attackers certainly were blamed, but they were the products of their Islamic societies and culture. Ultimately, the blame must fall fairly and squarely on the violent, supremacist ideology – ISLAM – which permeates these societies, and drives their dysfunctional culture.
“And fight them until there is no opposition and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease – then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.” (Quran 8:39).
“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Quran 8:60).
“And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists (Pagans & Christians) wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Quran 9:5).
Anyone who has read the Quran, and still believes Islam is a ‘religion of peace’, is either a fool or an apologist who is willfully aiding and abetting this despicable, militant creed.
Islam has no place in a civilized society.

Thanks Aussie for pointing out a kind of moral conundrum about this Muslim business. Of a billion and a half Muslims in the world, how many are Muslims because they were beaten and bludgeoned into it as children? How many became Muslims as adults given the option to convert or (be subjected to a lot of degradation and/or) die”? So for most of them it’s not a volitional free choice to adopt evil and set themselves to destroy everything else. On the other hand aren’t the mute millions more dangerous than the few actual jihadis? Who subsidises, camouflages, aids, abets, shelters conceals and protects the actual criminals? Would they qualify as accomplices if their thoughts and deeds were known? And can we preserve civilsation as we know it and indulge ourselves with nice distinctions of moral responsibility?

Bit of a tangent…
Does anyone else think that Omar is infuriated with Islam but just doesn’t know it and wouldn’t accept it? From birth, she has been abused by a system which is misogynistic like practically no other, wrapped in a disposition which left her at odds with people who are, quite frankly, of a far more normal and healthier mind frame, and so was on a collision course resulting in disappointment and thus the hard feelings and acrimony. It would almost be like if you had a middle finger or swastika tattooed on your forehead but were forever unaware of it. You would find yourself growing increasingly resentful of the reactions. What a disaster for our country.

True enough. I would say she’s eminently aware of being infuriated (in fact obsessed with it), but utterly unaware of the mind-bendingly misdirected nature of it; as are many of her coreligionists whom you allude to.
