“Typical Zionist, shameless attitude,” ranted the anti-Semitic professional Israel-hater Miko Peled at this author during a July 23 presentation with the 13-year-old Palestinian Janna Jihad at Washington, DC’s anti-Israel Jerusalem Fund. In an uproar expunged from the event video before its posting online, the audience angrily exploded at any suggested connection between her and jihadist terrorism, an indication of her American tour’s fanatical cult-like followers.
Sporting business attire with a button supporting Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) economic warfare against Israel, Peled promoted the latest star from the terrorism-supporting Palestinian Tamimi clan. An anti-Israel propagandist who poses as the world’s youngest accredited journalist, Jihad is the cousin of Ahed Tamimi, who gained international notoriety for slapping an Israeli soldier, and her subsequent arrest. A fluent English-speaker born in Gainesville, Florida, Jihad’s appearance before about 50 sympathetic listeners (including Netra Halperin of Peace Films) at the Jerusalem Fund was one part of a recent capital-area speaking tour.
Like the July 21 event at the K Street location of the district’s radical eatery chain, Busboys and Poets, moderated by Peled’s like-minded anti-Zionist Jew, Code Pink National Co-Director Ariel Gold, such presentations have an unvarying message. As at a July 24 Longworth House Office Building panel organized by the reprehensible American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), a Hamas-derived proponent of destroying Israel, Jihad always plays the innocent victim of brutal Israelis. “Any child deserves to live, to just live a normal life” in a “world of peace, a world of love,” she stated alongside AMP to the BDS faithful including Gold, who also attended the Jerusalem Fund event. Meanwhile Israeli soldiers supposedly shoot tear gas canisters at Palestinian children “just because of us playing soccer,” Jihad told the Jerusalem Fund audience.
Jerusalem Fund audience members gushed over Jihad and asked innocent questions about things such as her life goals, but this author’s inquiry into her views on her aunt, Ahlam Tamimi, briefly shattered this idyll. Where an event video edit now exists at the 57:27 mark, this author caused two minutes of bedlam (whose only known record currently exists in his audio recording) by noting Ahlam’s leadership in the August 9, 2001 Jerusalem Sbarro pizzeria suicide bombing. Peled, along with his previously noted outburst, merely retorted the fake news that “she he was a not a key perpetrator and she was released by the Israelis” (in a prisoner exchange, as I clarified). By contrast, given the bombing’s American victims, the United States has unsuccessfully sought Ahlam’s extradition from Jordan.
Peled’s reaction was perhaps the mildest amidst the anger spasms that gripped the audience. “Are you seriously heckling a child” who is “asking for peace,” a young woman demanded, while Halperin responded to audience questions concerning my identity by noting my name and my writing for Jihad Watch. “You have no shame, Andrew Harrod. You just dehumanized this little girl. Go home and cry for what you did tonight,” the woman chastised while others yelled things like “a 13-year old girl” and “shame on you.”
Concerning terrorism against Israel, Jihad responded to audience applause by blaming the Israeli victim for violence and stated that the “question you needed to ask is, why is Israel killing children.” The audience further made statements that “it’s not terrorism” and cheered when Jihad declared that “in international law, we are under occupation, we can resist in any single way we believe is right.” Jerusalem Fund executive director and event moderator Mohamed Mohamed ended the contretemps by calling for supposedly more “constructive questions.”
The audience fury befitted the mythological remarks preceding Jihad of Peled, an Israeli general’s renegade anti-Zionist son, who had presented the Tamimis’ village, Nabi Saleh, as a Zionist-despoiled Palestinian Eden. Nabi Saleh “is one of the most beautiful spots in Palestine,” which “is one of the most beautiful spots in the world,” he enthused about what has historically impressed visitors including this author as largely barren except for Zionist development. Echoing the anti-Semitic commentator Marc Lamont Hill, Peled reiterated his complete condemnation of Israel’s existence and clarified that “when I say Palestine, I mean the entire country from the [Jordan] river to the [Mediterranean] sea.”
Peled used the example of “one of my best friends,” Bassem Tamimi, Ahed’s father (shown in a slide with all three of them together), to falsify the history of Palestinians as the region’s indigenous people. Peled related Bassem’s joke about his ancestors in Nabi Saleh encountering Adam looking for Eve in order to marvel at Palestinians and “how deep their roots really go.” In reality, the Tamimi clan originates in the Arabian Peninsula and entered the Holy Land sometime after its seventh-century Muslim Arab conquest.
By contrast, Peled derided Zionist Jewish settlement as a foreign imperial imposition, like Nabi Saleh’s neighboring “Israeli colony.” In a slide, this settlement appeared to him like a “picture out of somewhere in Europe” in contrast to Nabi Saleh’s “very Arab, very Palestinian, very local-looking village that is indigenous and blends into the landscape.” Belying his warped vision, Palestinians, relatively wealthy among Middle Eastern Arabs, live in monster mansions or shabby slums according to individual means and not any indigenous authenticity.
In Peled’s imagination of Israeli foreign usurpers, the “day-to-day struggles that young Palestinians have to go through is so far beyond what we could possibly imagine.” Murderous Palestinian terrorism was nonexistent in his alternative reality where the modern Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is a “terrorist organization terrorizing a people that have never held a gun.” In Nabi Saleh, “all they have is their flags and their firm belief in their rights to resist and to be free” during protests, manifestations of a “wonderful Palestinian spirit.” While lying that Palestinians only receive three percent of water resources in all “Palestine,” he demanded that American legislators “should be shamed, should be outed” for opposing measures such as BDS.
Peled’s self-righteous appeals for exposure ring hollow given the strident resistance shown by the event against any mention of the Tamimis’ bloody legacy, for which the youthful Jihad is providing deceptive cover. Precisely as one Israeli father mourns the grim 18th anniversary of the Sbarro bombing, in which his 15-year old daughter was among 15 deaths, Peled, Jihad, and the Jerusalem Fund’s fabrications demand refutation. But disturbingly, such individuals and their Palestinian fake news are now actually receiving a hearing in Congress’ hallowed halls, as a forthcoming article will examine.

A crucial difference to note is that “shameless” implies that someone does not feel any shame (for an action), whereas “shameful” does not at all imply this; the person may or may not recognise the shame of their action.

How many of you trust a person with the surname ‘JIHAD’ and a first name of Janna (Islamic paradise)?
Here’s another clown show trying to demonstrate a unique ethnicity that no Arab thought existed before the KGB invented them after the Six-Day War. Until then, ‘Palestine’ referred to the British Mandate and ‘Palestinians’ were considered to be Jewish. Arabs have always considered Israel to be part of Lower Syria (Shams).
In 1800, there were about 246,000 Arabs living in what became British Palestine. Concurrently as Jews arrived and settled in the region establishing business and farms, the Arab population grew through immigration from the surrounding Arab provinces of the Ottoman Empire. A large group of Arab immigrants came in the 1920s and 1930s ‘slipping under the wire’ illegally to seek employment. The British administration was not much interested in controlling these illegal Arab immigrants, but they restricted Jewish immigrants in a duplicitous manner.
Before the Six-Day War, there were only West Bank Jordanians living in the region and Israeli Arabs in Israel. ‘Palestinian’ is thus a recent invention of Soviet communist propagandists. The Left of today seems more in love with the Soviet era than ever. Nostalgia for the Gulag, no doubt.

“She’s only 13” they shouted to Harrod. But they’re the ones parading her as a political tool to be used against Israel. It should be open season to question her and her handlers motives, background and goals.

In honor of al lah,the pagan Arab god of the muslims:you know the one that insists in the koran that a woman’s testimony is always to be HALF that of a man due to what muhammed,a child raping{ 9 year old Aisha his ‘wife’}antisemitic, antichristian, misogynistic, chauvinist bigot said was “the DEFICIENCY of a woman’s mind”
sahih Bukhari # 2658
And Linda sarsour tells us muhammed was a feminist.
And just so the pro “palestinian” lefty liberals, misguided secular Jews etc know:
Even the koran insists Israel is the rightful land of the Jews{k5:20-26}
YES,THAT’S RIGHT:al lah IS OK WITH THE JEWS BEING IN ISRAEL.
The muslims and the “palestinians” probably don’t want you to know that:and the Israelis are ENTITLED to protect their homeland,a land which even al lah doesn’t deny the Jews the right to dwell in!
The “palestinians” shouldn’t have anything to do with Israel since even allah says Israel is the Jewish land.
