Those who believe, and there are many, that the global jihad is all about the alleged evils of Israel and the United States should take note of this. Neither one has anything to do with Jammu and Kashmir, but we see here the same rhetoric we see among the “Palestinians.” This is because of the Qur’anic imperative to “drive them out from where they drove you out” (2:191), which leads to the idea that any land that once was governed by Muslims belongs to Muslims forever, and must be “liberated.”
“Pakistan’s Top Minister Warns Of Jihad Over Kashmir; President Alvi Says India Playing With Fire,’ EurAsian Times, August 25, 2019:
Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province – Mahmood Khan upped the ante against India and warned that he will lead from the front if Jihad was formally declared on India.
“We will return from Jihad only after complete victory and liberation of Kashmir from India”. We fully support PM Imran Khan’s stand on the issue and are completely supporting the Pakistan Army in the fight against the atrocities of Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, Pakistan President Arif Alvi has said that India is playing with fire by revoking Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and the same fire will burn its secularism in an interview to Vice News.
Arif Alvi said that the Indian government is living in a ‘fool’s paradise’ if it thinks that it can improve the situation in Kashmir by revoking Article 370. Alvi said India, in fact, encouraged terrorism through the Constitutional changes for which Pakistan is not responsible….

Nowadays is different, won’t result in the desolation inflicted on Hindus by Tamerlane and Nadir Shah. Since 1948, Pakistan was defeated in wars it waged 4 times by Hindu Indian armies and the next time will mean its total destruction. And any resort to nuclear weapons, which it constantly threatens, will involve the countries that actually own its nuclear weapons and funded it, namely, China and Saudi Arabia. Quite clearly, these countries are eager to sacrifice their major cities to protect their ‘all weather ally’.
Infidel says
The problem Pakistan has is that on the diplomatic front, they have only one ally – China, and that too b’cos India separated out Ladakh and declared it a union territory. Also, while India nominally claims that Pak and Chinese occupied parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are still legally a part of India, they’re doing nothing to militarily reposses that (and can’t – at least not against China).
In the Middle East, the GCC countries, which have been losing customers due to the US becoming the world’s largest producer of oil and gas, are desperate to hold on to as much Indian sales as they can, and so declined to support Pakistan. What a contrast to 1991, when the entire OIC unanimously condemned India for not preventing the demolition of the mosque in Ayodhya. UAE just gave Modi its highest honor, pissing off Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia recently reined in Pakistan when they wanted support on attacking India.
It’s funny to watch Pakistan: when Imran Khan was elected, he had a grand dream of reconciling Saudi Arabia and Iran and forming one giant Islamic bloc. Instead, he finds his country rebuffed by the OIC almost on a scale of the Xinxiang Uighurs. Yet, they don’t have a choice: Pakistan is as fake a state as North Korea: just like Communism is the only basis for the latter existing, Islam is the only basis for the former

Question to this moron – when have they not waged jihad against India, they have been doing it from the day they were given their own country and prior to that since the seventh century when the invaded India. News to him – it is new India now and wage jihad at your own risk!!
Infidel says
Precisely! The India of Gandhi/Nehru is history, at least since Modi was elected first in 2014, and reinforced this year. The Congress is a laughing stock, and Rahul Gandhi at least had the sense to recognize that most Indians of today are as sick of his family as Americans were in 2016 of both the Bushes and the Clintons.
Besides, Muslims too are weakening worldwide – which is why they’ve acquiesced to what China does in Xinxiang, India’s revocation of Article 370, and for some Arab countries, Israel over Iran. But that needs to continue – Turkey needs to be recognized as an adversary, and so does Qatar. Also, the US should look closely at the Yemen war and the prominence of AQAP, but let UAE and Saudi Arabia duke it out in South Yemen, even while the Houthis and the South Yemenis duke it out along their frontier.
Oh, and Afghanistan – pull all US troops out. If Pakistan doesn’t think the Durand line is worth defending more than their Kashmir border, that’s on them

You both have said what millions of silent Indians would have said.
Nothing more to add.

Ghandi and Nehru are solely to blame for the creation of Pakistan. If they’d listened to the famous Yogi Sri Aurobindo (who also said Pakistan is a country without a Soul), and accepted the offer from Churchill and Cripps, Pakistan would never have been formed and millions of lives would have been saved.
This kashmir business is how Pakistan will slowly disintegrate – so that it can be re-integrated back into lndia..
gravenimage says
Of course, an India with the huge Muslim population of what is now Pakistan and Bangladesh would have been in deep trouble, as well–perhaps more so.
overman says
I don’t think it would have been as troublesome as it is now – probably more balanced, l think. Certainly wouldn’t have had around 4 wars. Pakistan has been a thorn in lndia’s side right from the start.
A million+ were killed during the transition alone. So, ultimately, l think lndia would have been in a much healthier state if Pakistan had never happened..
Infidel says
Without a Pakistan, India would have been a 40% Muslim country, and it’s then arguable of what the net politics of that country would have been. There is a risk that it could have become a Malaysia, which went from minority to plurality to majority Muslim, but then again, there is the possibility that riots would have culled an excess Muslim population.

Pakistan Chief Minister: “We’ll return from jihad only after complete victory and liberation of Kashmir from India”
……………………..
More threats from Pakistan to attack and conquer their neighbor India–and an acknowledgement that this is Jihad. I hope the world notices and condemns this aggression.
Infidel says
India and China, b’cos of their populations and resultant big markets, are lucky that the Muslim world today is much more reluctant to take them on than they used to. Take for instance the fact that not one Muslim country has supported the Uighurs. Or in case of India, not one OIC country has supported Pakistan. The GCC countries have been losing customers ever since the US became the world’s #1 oil & gas producer, and when India was forced to take Iran and Venezuela out of its supplier list, it took on both US and Russia. The GCC countries don’t wanna lose even more sales, which is why they’ve actively supported India, and totally glossed over the Islamic interests in expanding dar ul Islam. (Hopefully, if Venezuela comes online again, India can resume buying from them and reduce its GCC imports even more)

India is a Hindu country! I really can’t understand why they want to hang on to, fight for, an mostly muslim area, Kashmir
Pakistan is a muslim country. They should take Kashmir, NOT India! I am soooo confused, of why India INSISTS on going to war with Pakistan over it. It doesn’t make sense to me! Maybe someone can explain this to me?
Thought_Weaver says
You have erred in the very beginning of your ignoramus comment. India is a secular democracy and the largest one at that.
India recognises all the 72 sects of Islam and consider its adherents as ‘Muslims’ unlike Pakistan which systematically discriminates against Shias, Ahmediyas and the likes, not to mention the dire straits non-Muslims are in. Hence going by your crazy logic, since India is taking care of all Muslims and treating them as equal citizens, it sure deserves Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Aksai Chin.
