The principle prevails everywhere: whenever Muslims commit mass murder of non-Muslims in the name of jihad and Islam, Muslims are the victims. If there is actual “hate propaganda” being directed against Muslims, that would be a shame; the problem is the UN and others generally consider honest analysis of the motivating ideology behind the jihad threat, which is rooted in Islamic texts and teachings, to be “hate propaganda.” If Ahmed Shaheed’s call is heeded, such analysis will be stigmatized and marginalized. Is that what he wants?
“Sri Lanka urged to tackle ‘hate propaganda’ against Muslims,” Al Jazeera, August 26, 2019:
A United Nations human rights expert has called on Sri Lanka to take urgent action on “hate propaganda targeting Muslim communities” following a spate of deadly attacks on churches and hotels on Easter Sunday.
Ahmed Shaheed, the UN special rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief, issued the call on Monday at the end of a 12-day mission to the Buddhist-majority country in the Indian Ocean.
He said there was a “serious deficit of trust among ethnoreligious communities” in the wake of the ISIL-claimed attacks in April.
More than 250 people were killed in the bombings, the deadliest since the end of a 26-year-civil war against Tamil separatist fighters in 2009.
“While the government promptly brought the situation more or less under control after the bomb blasts, many religious communities remain very concerned about their security because of incitement to hatred and violence by some religious extremists,” Shaheed said in a statement….

Yet another proof that the UN has lost its usefulness.

Can you expect an unbiased report from a Muslim on this matter? They can not find a non-muslim for such tasks! It its like appointing Scott Peterson to investigate how condemned prisoners are treated in California prisons. Off course, Scott does not like the idea of prisoners being locked up and want them to be freed. A Muslim, no matter what position he is in, always see the rosy sides of Islam and is blind to its ills.

Yes, the UN is pretty useless. I think what is ultimately sad is that while Sri Lankan Cardinal Ranjith condemned the bombings, he said that Islam was not to be blamed for them. I understand the fear, but such a position makes matters worse, I believe.

Agenda is behind this.
But, so is fear of reprisals.
People have an underskin dread of Muslim rage.
It’s almost primordial: fear of the land beast or the sea shark.
Muslims have become masters of manipulation of the human psyche fear cycle.
People lack courage and play into it, as “Jihadist Psychopath” book illustrates.

Yeah, when Muslims bomb your churches on Easter Sunday you need to devote more resources to ‘interfaith dialog’ and apologize to the Muslims for your oversight.
Sure you do.

This so-called UN human rights expert Muslim should rather request his brethren to show love, compassion and basic universal humanitarian spirit of fellowship to non-Muslim fellow human folks. But instead, this human rights expert, only asks opposite. How outrageous and biased UN has become now! The more UN is infiltrated by these guys, the more useless and stupid it becomes.

Maniacal Muslims. You can always tell who is on their side not only by listening to the rhetoric but by observing who they are not trying to blow up.

Direct hatred to Islam, not Muslims. Muslims are humans, Islam is an idea. All ideas must be debated. Jordan (King Abdullah II) updated the national school curriculum to omit the Jihadist/supremacist content of Islamic texts. France (300 leading intellectuals and President Macron) urged Islam to remove the violent contents of its texts. In China, only Islamic texts approved by the government can be used by China’s Islam adherents. So there is strong precedent for criticism of Islam’s violent/supremacist teachings. Direct hatred/criticism to Islam, not Muslims.

To be CREDIBLE the UN should sack Ahmed Shaheed, the UN special rapporteur for his wrong and biased report and instead have a GROUP of NON-MUSLIMS made up of Hindu’s Buddhists, Catholics, Jews and Christians (as representative of those whose people who were murdrered) to do a report of Sri Lanka post the Terrorist Massacre!

Sri Lanka: After Muslims murder 250 in jihad bombings, UN urges action against “hate propaganda” against Muslims
………………..
More insanity from the UN.
To have a Muslim–and one named for suicide bombings–s the UN special rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief, is obvious madness.
Here is Ahmed Shaheed trying to crush anti-Jihad security:
“National security is no excuse for limiting freedom of religion: UN expert”

In other words, trying to prevent Muslims from murdering us limits their freedom to practice Islam. *Ugh*.

Sri Lanka is unlucky that they don’t have a population of 1 billion+ and an economy to match. Just look at China, and how every Muslim country in the world either supports them vis a vis the Uighurs, or at least looks the other way. If Sri Lanka had as many people that the rest of the world saw as a market, they could have done what they did to the LTTE in the last decade, and no one would have noticed

Okay so, there is a major terrorist attack FROM muslims TO Christians, and they are surprised that muslims in general are eyed with suspicion afterwards???
And then, instead of worrying about the true victims, the persecuted Christians, they worry about ‘backlash’ against muslims as the perpetual ‘victims’, when in reality it would be justice?
And to take it a step further they are concerned about ‘hate propaganda’?
What exactly is that, according to their definition?
The truth about the violence in islam?
Since that is the truth, there is no such thing as ‘hate propaganda,’ since that implies that the information would be false, when in fact it is true!
Uh, the endless irrationalities!!!
Lydia Church says
And that would make it NEWS, not ‘hate propaganda’!

The United Nations has become a useless talking shop which has utterly failed in its original central reason for existence to prevent wars. Set up after the 2nd World War with high hopes, it has degenerated into a bureaucratic, self-important irrelevance that is not taken seriously any more.
The USA, according to 2017 figures, funds 22% of the entire budget of the United Nations.
One country, out of 193 countries in the UN, providing just over a fifth of its budget!
And the irony is that the UN frequently passes anti-American motions!
It’s quite obvious the USA should cut its funding to the UN and perhaps also force them to move out from New York and find another HQ in a different country.

Muslims drink interesting liquids: https://islamicvirtues.com/2013/12/02/benefits-of-drinking-the-blessed-urine-of-our-holy-prophet-s/
People who praise the urine of Mohammed, and the drinking of it, can hardly be expected to have a healthy sense of right and wrong.
A defense of the authenticity of the hadith about drinking his urine is linked to here: http://scholarspen.blogspot.com/2005/05/prophets-urine_10.html
Is a religion that praises its founder’s urine really one that deserves protection ? How debased and disgusting does a religion have to be, to lose the protection of the law ?
