Let’s sit down and negotiate with these charmers. What could possibly go wrong?
In reality, the Taliban, like the “Palestinians,” would only use negotiations to advance their jihad. Sitting down with them is entirely pointless.
“Afghanistan’s Taliban tells teachers, students to block presidential elections or risk death,” by Abdul Qadir Sediqi, Reuters, September 18, 2019:
KABUL, Sept 18 (Reuters) – Afghanistan’s Taliban insurgent group on Wednesday warned teachers, students and other education workers to avoid the upcoming presidential vote or risk dying in attacks on election centres.
“Do not allow election organisers to turn your schools and institutions into electoral centres, and teachers and students should not work as electoral staff,” said the Taliban statement.
“We do not want to cause the loss of lives and financial losses for civilians, teachers and students,” it said.
In 10 days, Afghanistan will hold its fourth presidential election since United States-led forces toppled the hardline Islamist Taliban from power in 2001. The insurgents have sworn to violently disrupt the vote, which comes in the aftermath of collapsed peace talks between the militants and the United States….
On Tuesday, Taliban attackers killed nearly 50 people in separate suicide bombings, one targeting an election rally for incumbent President Ashraf Ghani, who is seeking a second five-year term….

Such a PEACEFUL religion… 50 deaths… Such peace… Lies, lies, lies…

270 million dead from Islam more than Communism and Nazism combined.

They should introduce electronic voting in Afghanistan that we can tamper w/ and rig, so that people don’t get killed having to physically go to voting sites that’ll get blown up by the Taliban, al Qaeda or ISIS. Afghans can then just sit at home and vote via their Chinese made smartphones, and a government would then get elected ?????

The idea that we are the problem with the lack of democracy in the Muslim world is quite mistaken.

Must have been the radical Taliban who did this and not the peace-loving, moderate Taliban. Who but an Islamophobe could doubt it?
Infidel says
Maybe they should excavate Gen Colin Powell out of retirement and have him replace Khalilzad as the chief negotiator. He’ll find the moderate Taliban he should talk to, and then we can execute a withdrawal based on that ????

This Taliban intolerance that leads to murderous violence is a preview of the Islamic chaos that will occur after the”peace negotiations” with them are over and they regain power in Afghanistan and then renege of most of their promises , if not all of their promises.
For any “peace” agreement with Taliban is a “Deal with devil “ in other words a “fools deal.” The very idea of having actual, real, genuine productive “peace talks” with those brutal ,cruel misogynistic Taliban characters is an absurd and fool idea of folly.
One thing is for sure, even if even attempting to engage on “peace talks” with Taliban it would be best not to be naïve about them and take at face value anything that they might say or promise. To just “give trust away” to those Islamic characters who compose the Taliban would be foolishness and folly. For when trying to have genuine negotiations with the them ,it need to be kept in mind that there is an Islamic doctrine called TAQIYYA This is the Muslim dogma the lying and deception are good things to do, if and as long as the lies and deceit are done for the advancement of Islam.
For the deceptive and disingenuous Taliban have proven many times over, by their own actions, that they are a ruthless, brutal vicious gang of thugs with no honor. So in any kind of “dialogue” the Taliban will most likely speak the truth only when it happened to suite them. The rest of the time they will be speaking half-truths and also be outright lying. Likewise, the Taliban will keep their word in anything that they may happen to promise only and long as in fits into their agenda and no longer. So before engaging of the foolishness of attempting to have genuine “talks for a peace alliance” with Taliban, the officials of the current government would do well to heed the wisdom of Sun Tzu found in THE ART OF WAR. For it instructs “We cannot enter into an alliance neighboring’s princes, until we are acquainted with their designs.” To put this in a more updated and current way, it may be said that “We cannot enter into a peace alliance with the Taliban until we know the actual intentions and real schemes.”
Furthermore, if attempting to engage in “peace talks” with Taliban it would be very naïve to take at face value anything that the Taliban might promise. For example, the Taliban might say that they will respect the rights of women and girls, for they ,many times, employ the Islamic doctrine of Taqiyya In those so called “negotiations” with officials of the West .Taaqyia ids the Islamic teaching that lying and deceit
So it may be nothing but foolishness and folly to even try to have worthwhile constructive peace discussions with lying brutal cruel men who make up the Taliban . For having a genuine practical peace compromise with Taliban might be impossible
As the former US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, had well-spoken when he said “There has never been – there never can be – successful compromise between good and evil.”

Near the end of this ,above, jihadwatch article it gives the information that “On Tuesday, Taliban attackers killed nearly 50 people in separate suicide bombings…”
For many times the jihadist members of different Islamic terror groups , as those of the Taliban , have gathered together and chanted the words “We love death, they love life.” Likewise those jihadist/Muslims don’t stop with those awful words; they carry through with jihad suicide/homicide attacks. Any sane person would ask “Why do those jihad –minded Muslims have such a mindset of murderous madness?” The answer is that they obtain the way of thinking and believing from the “holy book” of Islam, the Koran. As some people call it the Qu ‘ran. For example the Koran in Sura 9:111 instructs “The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, they kill and are killed.” Therefore it may be conclude that Islam is actually a death cult.
In great and wonderful contrast to the death cult which is Islam there is Christianity which is centered on Jesus and His teachings. For Jesus did not teach killing and death but taught and gave life, a good peaceful well lived life and more. For example Jesus declared “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. [K.J.V.]

Lets look at this logically.
Vote against the Taliban and they will kill you.
Don’t vote and the Taliban take control of the country and,,,,,you get killed!
Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place.
My heart goes out to the Afghan people. For the most part, they just want to get on with their lives without half the nations on earth stomping their country into dust.
