An update on this story. At his press conference, imam Hassan Guillet notes that his anti-Semitic statements were public, and that Liberal Party officials knew or should have known about them when they chose him as a candidate. So as always, it’s someone else’s fault. Islamic supremacists never, ever, take responsibility for their actions. And as for those non-Muslims who are now proclaiming their friendship with Guillet, his contrition may be sincere, and their friendship genuine. During one of their friendly encounters, they might consider asking him how, as a believing Muslim, he understands Qur’an 5:82, which says that the Jews are the worst enemies of the Muslims, and Qur’an 5:51, which tells Muslims not to take Jews or Christians as friends or protectors. They might even ask him what he makes of the statement attributed to Muhammad, ““War is deceit” (Bukhari 4.52.268).
“Imam Hassan blames Liberals for not thoroughly vetting his anti-Semitic comments,” by David Menzies, Rebel Media, September 5, 2019:
Imam Hassan Guillet was recently turfed as a federal Liberal Party candidate in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard-Saint-Michel riding after some old social media posts were flagged by B’nai Brith.
But at a press conference in which he lamented his fate, Guillet denied being anti-Semitic and he essentially blamed the Liberal Party for not vetting him thoroughly enough.
“Ousted Liberal candidate insists he is not anti-Semitic,” by Janice Arnold, Canadian Jewish News, September 4, 2019:
Imam Hassan Guillet, a former Liberal candidate who was ousted by his party after being accused of making anti-Semitic and anti-Israel comments, is speaking out against his removal.
On Aug. 30, B’nai Brith Canada put out a press release saying that Imam Guillet has a “history of radical and racist statements,” made as recently as January 2017, when it alleges that he, in since deleted social media posts, “celebrated the release of Raed Salah, a Hamas-aligned activist who has accused Jews of staging the 9/11 terror attacks and has claimed that Jews use children’s blood for baking ‘holy bread.’ ”
Imam Guillet, B’nai Brith discovered, hailed Salah as a “jihad-fighter” and “frontier-fighter” whom “Allah will surely support,” and congratulated Salah on being freed from “the prisons of occupied Palestine,” while praying that he would some day be successful in liberating “the whole of Palestine.”
B’nai Brith also found that, in a late 2017 interview with Radio-Canada International, Imam Guillet called Israel an apartheid state. He also accused Jared Kushner, the Jewish son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, of directing his government to support an “Israel-first” agenda. He accused Kushner of dual loyalty because of his Jewish background and inaccurately described him as an “ultra-Orthodox” and “fundamentalist” Jew, according to B’nai Brith.
Within hours of B’nai Brith’s press release, the Liberal party annulled Imam Guillet’s candidacy for the Montreal riding of St-Léonard-St-Michel, a safe Liberal seat, which he had won in a contested nomination in May. The party said it had conducted a “thorough internal review process that has been ongoing for a few weeks” and had concluded that Imam Guillet’s “insensitive comments … are not aligned with the values of the Liberal Party of Canada.”
Imam Guillet initially apologized to Jewish people, if they found his words offensive, adding that he has “evolved” since he made them. He has since said he is “completely shocked” by his dismissal and insists that he is not anti-Semitic. On the contrary, he is portraying himself as someone who has worked toward bettering interfaith relations.
At a press conference on Sept. 4, Imam Guillet tried to explain his previous comments and called on the Liberal party to reinstate him. He also said he would consider running as an independent in the Oct. 21 election if he didn’t get the nomination….
Imam Guillet had earlier issued a statement saying, “I confirm that I am not anti-Semitic. On the contrary, I campaign and will always campaign against all forms of racism, including Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.”…
Westman says
Can a Muslim who is not anti-Semitic become an Imam? Surely one must adhere to the dictates of the Quran to be a recognized spiritual leader in Islam.
And the Liberal party didn’t know this? Will Canada be forced to, “pass the jizya, please?”

Response to Westman: Good point.
An imam or mullah who is *not* anti-Semitic is obviously denying the validity of many Jew-hating passages in the Koran, Sira and hadiths, as well as in the canonical commentaries by authoritative Islamic writers from the Middle Ages who codified Islam. Such a mullah certainly does not ‘adhere’ to canonical Islam, but invents his own private, personal, watered-down, ‘liberalized’ version of Islam. Once he achieves high status within Islam, such a mullah can reveal his inner thoughts to a degree, but still, even then, more fanatical mullahs may want to kill him for expressing his sympathy and support towards Jewish people or their Allah-given right to create a Jewish homeland (which the Koran actually decrees).
If you keep heretical thoughts like these to yourself in Islam, the fanatics of today generally leave other ‘weak’ Muslims alone. Islamic heretics are only attacked when they clearly and openly express their disagreements with Mohammed and the Koran, thus suggesting they are not ‘inspired’. Most low-key apostates are left alone and not bothered. One out of three Muslims is a quiet drop-out.
Encouraging Muslims to doubt and thus to abandon Islam is unforgiveable. Jew hatred constitutes 9.3% of the Islamic Trilogy, and so it is hard to deny that Jew hatred is authentically Islamic.

And yes, Westman is right. The Liberals have been forking huge cash gifts to various Islamic ‘charities’ whose monies have been traced to international Islamic organizations that give ‘charity’ (zakat) to jihadists. Canadians are such dupes they don’t even bother to learn about it. A legal case about this conspiracy in the courts.

Gullett blames the Liberal Party for not realizing that Islam is inherently anti-Semitic … and so do I.
The Canadian Lib-Jihadist Party is a bunch of smug, stuck-up, smarmy Pollyannas who wouldn’t know jihad from a wudu or a kafir from a dhimmi or a hadith from a Sira.
The Lib-Jihad Party keeps its members and the public in the dark about their complicity with the Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood organization that runs the Islamic front organizations in Canada. Without Hamas and MB there would be virtually no Islamic lobby groups in Canada.
The Laurentian-based Lib-Jihad Party of Canada is the equivalent of the Deep State in the US.

Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy (PhD) was Grand Mufti of Egypt 1986-1996 and Grand Imam of Al Azhar 1996-2010. He was the expert on Jew hatred in Islam.
He wrote his 700-page doctoral thesis about the Koranic depiction of Jews. Quote from thesis: “[The] Koran describes the Jews with their own particular degenerate characteristics, i.e. killing the prophets of Allah [Koran 2:61/ 3:112], corrupting His words by putting them in the wrong places, consuming the people’s wealth frivolously, refusal to distance themselves from the evil they do, and other ugly characteristics caused by their deep-rooted lasciviousness…only a minority of the Jews keep their word {Koranic citations here]….[A]ll Jews are not the same. The good ones become Muslims {Koran 3:113], the bad ones do not.”
Statistical Jew Hatred in Koran and Hadiths:
– The grand total of Jew Hatred in KORAN = 10,242 words / 152,006 total words = 6.7% Jew hatred
– Total number of Jew Hatred VERSES in Koran: 123 verses Jew hatred
– 17% of Medinan Koran is Jew hatred
– 1% of Meccan Koran is Jew hatred
– 8.9% of hadiths are Jew hatred
– 12% of Sira is Jew hatred
– 9.3% of the Islamic Trilogy is Jew hatred
– 7% of Mein Kampf is Jew hatred by comparison
– Koran of Mecca filled with Jewish stories plagiarized and distorted.
– Jews of Medina did not validate Mohammed’s prophecy, so he then exterminated the Jews, stole their property and enslaved their women and children. -Mohammed entered Medina with his people as refugees, but within a few years there were no Jews left in Medina.
– Mohammed provides the example of Jew hatred that Muslims must follow

And when the Grand mufti {or the islamic wizard of ala khazar or whatever} died guess who got to judge his soul?
A Jew.
Jesus Christ.
muslims won’t get that.
“All of the figures from the Hebrew Bible were muslims” tantawai once said
Really?Abraham,Moses,Elijah,Jesus?Go figure…
Not according to Jesus Christ{JEW}!
“We JEWS know whom we worship because it is from the Jews that Salvation comes”
Jesus Christ{JEW}
JOHN 4 V 22
Now don’t you think Jesus would KNOW more about Jews than an antisemitic islamic bigot like tanatawi?
The koran says “Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian” k3:67:possibly the most idiotic statement one can imagine as it is clear that the author of the koran al LAH{“the BEST of deceivers” k3:54} desperately wants to replace the Jews as Chosen people status{CONFIRMED by Jesus in john 4:22} with the muslim Arabs.
In islam it is the muslim Arabs who are the chosen people so of course the author of the koran REFUSES to believe that Abraham etc were Jews.
How awkward it must be for a grand imam,an antisemitic nazi or bolshevik to be judged by a ..JEW.
islam and logic:separated at birth.

Why can’t we do that here in the US. I have a list of 3-4 that’d go today
Don McKellar says
Where’s Turdeau? Doesn’t he want to correct this gross misunderstanding and grovel before the imam? After all, his party KNEW that the imam was an observant moslem and had made these public statements proclaiming his faith. Turdeau doesn’t want to offend other moslems does he? Grovel, Turdeau!

Potential candidates are elected to become candidates by a vote of card carrying party members of the constituency. The party leadership may remove a candidate from running under the party banner if they wish to do so.
It is probable that his overt anti-Semitism was not generally known at the time of his nomination but it is questionable that, had it been known, there would have been a different outcome.
