“Sikhs in Delhi, India, held a large protest rally outside the Pakistani embassy on Monday to protest the forced conversion of minorities to Islam. The angry demonstrators overwhelmed police barricades and burned effigies of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
Peculiarly, in Western societies, the voices of minorities who oppose barbaric practices and abuses committed in the name of Islam are ignored by the mainstream media and far-leftists, who prefer to play identity politics and pretend to care about “racism,” while they facilitate the “Islamophobia” canard.
Recently in the Nankana Sahib area of Lahore, the Sikh community was outraged over the daughter of a Sikh priest being kidnapped and forced at gunpoint to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was appealed to for help, but Khan is an adamant supporter of the sharia who also defends his country’s cruel blasphemy laws. Also recently in Pakistan, an influential religious and legal body — the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice — defended the practice of child marriage as one of the “tenets of Islam.” Pakistan is grounded in sharia, which carries with it abuses against human rights.
“Sikhs Burn Effigies of Pakistani PM to Protest Forced Conversions to Islam,” by John Hayward, Breitbart, September 3, 2019:
Sikhs in Delhi, India, held a large protest rally outside the Pakistani embassy on Monday to protest the forced conversion of minorities to Islam.
The angry demonstrators overwhelmed police barricades and burned effigies of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The demonstrators carried banners denouncing the “forced conversion of minorities to Islam” and demanding protection for the rights of all religious minorities in Pakistan. The incidents that incited the demonstration involved two young girls who were allegedly forcibly converted to Islam so they could be married to Muslim men.
One of the victims was the 19-year-old daughter of a Sikh cleric who was allegedly kidnapped and forced to convert at gunpoint before her wedding. The girl has said she converted and married her Muslim husband willingly and does not want to return home because she fears for her life, but the Sikh community believes she is still acting under coercion.
Videos of both her family demanding justice for her abduction and the girl claiming she became Muslim voluntarily became viral sensations in India, creating a political firestorm at a time of great tension between India and Pakistan over the contested province of Kashmir.
The other victim was a Hindu college student said to have been abducted from her campus by her Muslim boyfriend and forced to convert. Local police say they are still investigating the case and have not concluded whether she was taken by force or left with her boyfriend voluntarily.
Indian media almost invariably refers to both cases as unambiguous abductions and forced conversions.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan promised the Worldwide Sikh Conference in Islamabad on Tuesday that the rights of Sikhs would be protected, especially pilgrims traveling to the holy cities of Kartapur and Nankana Sahib, which he acknowledged are as important to Sikhs as Mecca and Medina are to Muslims.
Kartapur is a city founded by the first guru of the Sikh religion, Nanak Dev, while Nankana Sahib is his birthplace. 2019 marks the 550th anniversary of his birth. Pakistan has been working on infrastructure upgrades to allow more pilgrims to visit Kartapur…

Look … the point here is that Pakistan’s constitution guarantees freedom of religion and freedom of expression, but Imran Khan refuses to protect religious minorities in Pakistan from persecution because he is a bigot himself.
This is a responsible way of drawing the attention of the world community: Pakistan’s PM is a KING SIZED BIGOT.
Tom says
Sikhs and Hindus have long suffered abuse from Muslims and there is a long brewing anger that is sparked into action by incidents like the taking of a Sikh child and forcing her into conversion and marriage to a Muslim.
No matter where it raises its ugly head Islam is a destructive and oppressive force.

I suppose they would quote Cat Stevens: “ I would have hoped that it’d be the real thing“…

The former Cat Stevens is now a preposterous poseur who is actually a vicious bigot. He rides on the coat-tails of his former show-biz persona of a semi-hippy peace-and-love activist. His present reality is he is an intolerant bigot and religious supremacist.

Is the virtue-signalling mr Gurratan Singh still “standing with his muslim brothers” on this matter?
“My brother @the jagmeet singh told me to always confront racism.I will always stand with my muslim brothers and say hate is wrong” tweet
{see JW:
Canada;man smeared as “racist’ for asking political questions about political islam and sharia t muslim fest. sept 4 2019}
Yes:let us confront racism and say hate is wrong.Agreed!
Will Mr Gurratan Singh be standing with his Sikh brothers and say islamic “hate is wrong”?islamic racism?
Or is that just being “islamophobic”?
Will mr Gurratan Singh be confronting racism and standing with his Sikh brothers against islamic forced conversions of Sikhs to islam?
Hull-oh?
Who will he be standing with in opposing such islamic hate and racism?
His muslim brothers?.. who don’t see him{and never will} as a brother but as an infidel which is what we see in Pakistan?
FYI says
The dilemma..
Will it be with his Sikh brothers at his Gurdwara{protesting islamic atrocities AGAINST his fellow Sikhs in pakistan} ..or.. will it be with his muslim “brothers” who don’t see him as a brother{and are happy to ill treat the Sikhs}?
You cannot be on both sides at the same time.

If these protesters tried this demonstration against persecution and violence in Pakistan itself, they would likely all be killed.
