Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iran’s Rouhani: Jihad attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities was a “warning”

Sep 18, 2019 11:00 am By Robert Spencer

Sunnis and Shi’ites have been waging jihad against each other for 1400 years, as The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS demonstrates. There is no reason for the U.S. to get involved.

“Iran: Attack on Saudi oil facilities was ‘a warning,'” David Rosenberg, Arutz Sheva, September 18, 2019:

A recent attack by Iranian-backed forces in Yemen on a Saudi oil facility should be viewed as a “warning” to Saudi Arabia to halt its campaign against pro-Tehran Houthi rebels in Yemen, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday.

President Rouhani denied that Iran was behind the attack, adding that Iran was not interested in a regional conflict.

“We don’t want conflict in the region,” said Rouhani. “Who started the conflict?”

The Iranian leader blamed the US, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and the Saudi government for rising tensions in the Middle East.

Despite Rouhani’s denial, the Saudi ambassador to the UK said Wednesday that Iran was ‘almost certainly’ behind the weekend attacks on Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

“Almost certainly it’s Iranian-backed,” Prince Khalid bin Bander bin Sultan Al Saud told the BBC. “We’re trying not to react too quickly because the last thing we need is more conflict in the region.”…

Get the US out of the ME. We do not need their oil.

Let the Shia/Sunni islamic infighting continue. The more they kill each other, the better off we are.

Let the Chinese and others who want the oil keep the oil flowing, waste their own resources in the process.

OK, get the US out of the ME. But how do we get the ME out of the US? The ME supplies funding to US universities and medical facilities. The ME in the the US could be more destructive to the US than have the US in the ME.

Excellent idea. My Canadian government is absolutely useless. North America could free itself entirely from Middle East conflict oil. The money that the USA would save would be in the trillions. And yes let China sink itself in that mess for once.

That’s actually not a bad response. I think we would have to be cautious because an abrupt change in the oil flow has an overdramatic effect on the Global Economy. Don’t we have a responsibility to not allow other countries to disrupt the system for personal gain. The world needs to discuss how to resolve those problems or make them irrelevant to the rest of the world’s economy.

Is CENTCOM still based in Qatar? It’s time for the US to relocate CENTCOM to Israel. Pull out all troops from the Gulf states.

Seriously, we’ve sold the Saudis some half a trillion worth of weaponry. If after that they can’t protect themselves from a ragtag militia on their south west or a country whose economy is in the toilet, thanks to sanctions, that’s not the US’s problem. Only thing – if Saudi Arabia falls to Iran, the US should militarily take out all the military hardware sold to the Saudis so that the Iranians don’t get a hold of them

When the fanatical, aging leaders of Iran kick the bucket, Iran will have a chance to return to a stabler more prosperous situation. The Iranian leaders have to be personally punished. Sanctioning companies that they personally own may be a good way to do it.

Mortimer, how many old Mullahs have kicked the bucket in the past forty years? Plenty, including Ayatollah Khomeini. Quite a few people thought that Iranians would rise up when he popped off in 1989, but this did not happen. What would be different now? There are plenty more vicious clerics in the pipeline there.

Gravenimage Exactly !! It is a regime that is established with Islamic dominance that has military and political support and with a large proportion of the population supporting it.

If this were not the case then a massive rebellion would have already occurred in response to the devastating sanctions that are crippling their economy.

No, the Islamic figureheads that we see in the Ayatollah and clerics IS the face of Iran and its society.

This means that there will continue to be replacements for the old guard Islamists, that are just as fanatical.

Did not the West learn from the rise of Hitler in the 1930’s? When faced with an aggressive Nation like Iran or Venezuela, we need to stand firm. Israel and Saudi Arabia are allies. Maduro in Venezuela today that they, along with Iran are wagging a “World War” against America .

    • Westman says

      Sep 18, 2019 at 2:02 pm

It seems much like pre-WWII, no nation willing to stop Hitler because the gravy train was still rolling and thinking, “Maybe it will go away and never come here”. 1979 was the time to remove the Iranian regime before the cost kept rising. Some keep hoping the citizens will rise up and demand freedom yet all we actually see is any forming resistance quicky destroyed in 7th century fashion.

A major conflict (war) between Iran and other powers is inevitable. It’s just a matter of when.

  4. Walter Sieruk says

Concerning that jihad attack by Iran in Saudi Arabia the jihadwatch article stars off with a sensible sentence. Which is “Sunnis and Shi’ites have been waging jihad against each other for 1400 years, as The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS demonstrates. There is no reason for the U.S. to get involved.”

Nevertheless, it is rather interesting that this time it’s Shi ‘ite Iran launching a drone attack in specific place in a Sunni Muslim Nation. Other times it’s Sunni jihad- minded Muslims attacking Sunni Muslims.

Still the follower of both branched of Islam believe that the founder of Islam was an actual prophet of God. Likewise both believe that the Qu ‘ran is the Word of God. All this leads to the need to understand the whole essence of Islam.

So With Islam so much in the news and in such great power in some countries, as Saudi Arabia and Iran, it’s a good thing to define what Islam really is .Of the many ways Islam may be described, one of them is that a religion of denial. Meaning that Islam denies that Jesus is the Son of God. As in the Son of God Who is God the Father. Furthermore, Islam denies the Jesus is God the Son. In addition, Islam denies that Jesus is God. Before going over these three denials of Islam it first should the stated the Bible instructs the way to tell if a prophet or religious teacher is really from and of God or not is do the teachings and doctrines of that prophet of teacher really fit in accord what is found in the Bible ? For if that prophet or teachers and teachers doctrines that are in contradiction to the Bible then that prophet is a false prophet and that religious teacher is a false teacher and thus in doctrinal error and darkness.

Likewise if a religion had teachings and doctrines that are in contradiction that is religion is in error also part of the world of darkness and is therefore a false religion. As the Bible instructs in Isaiah 8:20. “To the law of the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” [K.J.V.] With this clearly stated, three things should be known.

First, that Islam denial that Jesus is the Son of God is in great contradiction to the teaching of the Bible . Which reveals the Jesus is the Son of God? As seen in ,for example Matthew 3:16,17. 16:15,16. Luke 1:35. John 3:16-18, 36. First John 2:22,23. 4:14,15. 5:12,13. Second, that Islam denies that Jesus is God the Son is in strong contradiction to the Bible. As found in Hebrews 1:6-8. With emphasis on verse 8. Third, Islam’s denial that Jesus is God is in great contrast to the doctrine and teaching of the Bible. That Jesus is God may be found in ,for example, John 1:1;3. Colossians 1:15-17. 2:9. Romans 9:5

Second , to further discover that the Bible teachings that Jesus is God all a person has to do is to compare the Old Testament with New Testament to see that Jesus is God. As in comparing Isaiah 45:22,23. with Philippians 2:5-11. Also by comparing Psalm 89:8,9. with Mathew 8:23-27. will reveal that Jesus is God. Likewise, by comparing Psalm 62:5-7 . with First Corinthians 10:4. shows the Deity of Jesus. Even by comparing the News Testament books together will show that Jesus is God. As in comparing Romans 14:12. with John 5:22. will show Jesus to be God. The list can go on but this should be enough, for all who are willing to see the truth, that Jesus is, indeed, the Son of God. That Jesus is God the Son and that Jesus is God.
Third, the imams and mullahs as well as the other apologists for Islam will try to “explain’ this all away by making the claim that the Bible had been corrupted by Christians ,through time, and that’s way the Bible reads as it does. This claim, very much, underestimate the Power of God to protect and preserve His Word ,through time , and to keep in intact and away from the corruption of men. In conclusion, in light and information of the Bible in can be seen that Islam is a awful and terrible doctrinal error concerning it teaching about the Nature of Jesus and therefore Islam is part of the world of darkness. So Islam with its strong contradictions to the Bible is a false religion, Proverbs 14:12. So all dear Muslims are thus invited to leave the false religion of Islam and come the and receive the Jesus of the Bible who is the only way to heaven, John 14:6. and the True Light of the world. John 8:12.

Please don’t call them Persia. That’s not the country of Cyrus, Darius, Xerxes or Yazdgird. It’s Iran – the country of the Samanids, Safavids, the Hashashins (from where we get the Assassins), Nader Shah, Khomenei and now Khamenei.

This attack by Iran on Saudi Arabia is a sidetracking distraction from the existential threat of Iran getting nuclear weapons.

    • Keys says

      Sep 19, 2019 at 7:29 pm

joanofark06, that is my opinion based upon the leaders and millions of people in Iran saying almost daily, “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”, and also based on what I have read here and elsewhere on-line.

The existential issue, to my mind, is preventing Iran from making (or getting) nuclear weapons, hence the reason for sanctions. So if Iran’s enemies put that on the back burner and make keeping oil lanes open, or responding to Irans provocations (shooting down drones, attacking ships, shooting drones in to SA, etc) the primary focus, Iran will buy time get the nukes (and I believe they will use them to please Allah by attacking “the Great Satan”).

I recall how Pakistan used deceit to get their nukes, and Zia said something like “It is permissible to lie for the sake of Islam”. Having the nukes is seen as good for Islam.

I hear Mohamed Atta urging passengers to “stay quiet and you’ll be OK” as the hijackers piloted American Airlines Flight 11 toward New York as an allegory for this non-conventional war.

I am not saying we need to send troops to Iran, but we should not “stay quiet”.

      • Keys says

        Sep 19, 2019 at 7:34 pm

More from the 911 hijackers from cnn.com (2004):

“Nobody move. Everything will be OK,” the voice said in a recording first played publicly in the commission’s final hearing.

“If you try to make any moves, you’ll endanger yourself and the airplane. Just stay quiet,” the voice said.

The announcement, which commission staff believe was from Atta, was the first transmission from the aircraft picked up by air traffic controllers in Boston, where the flight originated.

Ten minutes later, the voice again warned, “Nobody move please. We are going back to the airport. Don’t try to make any stupid moves.”
