Imagine the outcry if someone had been arrested anywhere for selling a Qur’an. But of course that does not happen. Yet the world will take little, if any, notice of this.
“A bookseller from Iran was arrested on charges of selling ‘Bible,’” Mohabat News, September 12, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Mohabat News: Reports from Iran indicate that a citizen from Bukan was arrested and imprisoned on charges of selling the Bible.
Mustafa Rahimi, the son of Ali, was sentenced to six months and one day of imprisonment by 101st Branch of the Bukan Public Revolutionary Court.
Sources close to the family of the citizen confirmed his arrest on charges of selling the Bible.
Mustafa Rahimi, who had previously been detained by the intelligence agency on June 11, 2019, was sentenced to a fine and imprisonment but was released on 200 million toman bail. However, informed sources say that he was summoned to detention a few days later and is held in the Bukan Central Prison.
Bukan is a Kurdish town in West Azerbaijan Province in northwestern Iran. Rahimi had a bookstore in National Bank alley, Bukan. The Islamic Republic of Iran has severely restricted access to books with Christian content, as well as the prohibition of publishing, copying, and selling these books with severe punishment….
Walter Sieruk says
The reason that this ayatollah and mullah tyranny would arrest a bookseller for selling Bibles is because those Muslim clerics ,in power in Iran, are afraid that the Iranian people might actually start to read the Bible and then discover that the Bible is superior to the Qu ran .
So to keep the Iranians in total ignorance of the Bible is the demonic goal of those mullah and ayatollahs.
To keep the people with limited information and likewise no access to having a Bible those Muslim clerics will thus have the people stay inn.the darkness of Islam which his Islamic “republic” of Iran is based on
To stay in power is to keep the Iranian people from comparing and contrasting the Bible with the Qu ran is a terrible part of the Islamic agenda of this Qu ‘ran based and Sharia law based Islamic tyranny.
Alan says
I doubt the ayatollah or any Iranian cleric has read the Bible.

Islam in Iran is collapsing from within as many Muslims realize the Koran is flawed in hundreds of ways and is thus of human origin. All mullahs know the preposterous absurdities in the Islamic foundational texts that make Islam impossible to defend against ethical, historical, textual or logical arguments.
The Iranian mullahs are merely buying time, since they know of the reports out of Iran that a very large minority of Iranians no longer believe in Islam.
Iranian writer ALI DASHTI’S book is another threat to the Iranian mullahs … you won’t find it in Iran either.

I see that the appalling Peter Buckley is again sneering at concerns over Jihad.
Yes, some Iranians have protested forced veiling and similar matters, and I am glad to see it. But 99.4% of Iranians are Muslim.
And the idea that all Iranians have abandoned Islam is simply untrue. Here is one such ugly story:
“Islamic Republic of Iran: Woman dragged across street, beaten for not wearing hijab as crowd cheers”
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2019/06/islamic-republic-of-iran-woman-dragged-across-street-beaten-for-not-wearing-hijab-as-crowd-cheers
Peter Buckley is not applauding Muslim apostates here–instead, he is doing what he always does–hoping to convince the ‘filthy Infidels’ that Islam is not a threat.
We are supposed to ignore Iran being increasingly threatening.

Thank you for the reference, mortimer.
From that book about the Iranians and Arabs:
“It was in keeping with the national character of the Iranians that after the conquest [by the Arab Muslims] they sought to ingratiate themselves with their conquerors. They obeyed, served, and placed their brains and knowledge at the disposal of the new masters. They learned the language and adopted the manners of the Arabs. It was they who systematized Arabic grammar and syntax. There were no limits to their obsequiousness in their efforts to get the conquerors to employ them. They outstripped the Arabs in Islamic zeal and poured scorn on their own former beliefs and customs. They not only extolled the Arab nation and Arab heroes but even tried to prove that chivalry, generosity, and leadership inhere in the Arabs alone. They described Bedouin poems and trite aphorisms from pre-Islamic Arabia as pearls of wisdom and models of behaviour.
They were content to be proteges of Arab tribes and lackeys of Arab amirs, and glad to give their daughters in marriage to Arabs and to take Arab names for themselves.
Iranian brains were soon at work in the fields of Islamic theology and law, Hadith- compilation, and Arabic literature. Approximately seventy per cent of the principal Arabic works on Islamic subjects were written by Iranians. Although the first conversions had been induced by fear, after two or three generations the Iranians were more Moslem than the Arabs.” – p. 148
“The Iranians would not have been so credulous if they could have visualized the real circumstances at Mecca.,andMadina in the first thirteen and last ten years of the Prophet Mohammad’s mission.” – p. 149
Interesting that today the Iranians despise the Saudi Arabs, but love the Islam brought to them by Arabs !

Concerning the news of the recent arrests of that bookseller who solid Bibles further expose the intolerant brutal and murderous :mullah regime “ of Iran
First, it would be naive not to understand the those mullahs and ayatollahs didn’t have a hand in having their stooges , who are Islamic state police, the Revolutionary Guard s arrest that bookseller because those in power in the Islamic tyranny are ruthless and cruel.
Second, this is further proof that Islam is such a weak and fragile religion that the arrest of those few Christians was felt necessary by the ayatollah, mullah and imams of Iran. For those Muslim clerics are afraid that if the Iranian people even have a chance to examine and thus compare and contrast the Bible and the Quran the people of Iran might discover that the Bible of the super of those two books.
Since the foundation for the tyrannical regime of the Islamic “Republic” of Iran is based on the Quran, which is also the entire foundation for of Islam, the Muslim clerics fear that their power base might collapse. So the arrests and sentencing to death of Christians reveals extreme fear those Muslim clerics have of the Bible, For this also show that those Muslim clerics in power in that “mullahs regime” of Iran will use .the Islamic state police and their tools to stop Christians and keep the Iranian people in in ignorance of the Bible and in the darkness of Islam
Third, those mullahs and ayatollahs and imams of Iran with their falsehoods and deceptions of the many false doctrines of Islam in which they brainwash the Iranian people in believing is something that is both sad and tragic. Those ayatollahs and mullahs are, no doubt, just as deluded as the people who they thoroughly indoctrinate with false teachings of Islam. Of such demonic deception by false teachers who are also deluded such men a have been predicted in the Bible. For in the Bible it’s written that “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.” Second Timothy 3:13. [K.J.V.] All those mullahs and ayatollahs are, according to the doctrines of the Bible, Isaiah 8:20. false religious teachers .Meaning false teachers who teach and indoctrinate the false doctrines of the false religion of Islam into the hearts and minds of others . Such false teachers are described in the Bible ,in Second Peter 2:1. “There were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
In addition, it should be make clear that in the context and meaning of the above Bible verse Second Peter 2:1. The word “destruction” does not mean “loss of being but loss of well-being ,as the destruction of well- being . That is “going to ruin” by ending up and a terrible place of awful suffering which the Bible call hell, Luke 16:19-31.

But one should never forget that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. Averring otherwise serves as ipso facto evidence of rank prejudice. Of course it does.
To ALL Muslims: Your religion stinks. It’s replete with intolerance; an overwhelming proclivity for violence whenever you are offended, which is pretty much by everything; you have no true Golden Rule for all of humanity; anti-Semitism is as easily found in Islam as it is in Nazism; death for apostasy is still the norm as taught by EVERY major school of Islamic theology, Sunni or Shiite; your conception of women’s rights is beyond perverse; your holy book, the Koran, is a hate manual; and your heinous religion is a mortal enemy of liberty. Shame on all of you. No exceptions—only the degree of fault serves as a variable.

If the Iranian people read the Bible, they would discover that in fact it is the koran that is wrong.
The concept of “Love One Another”{the Second Chief commandment, found in Judaism and Christianity but NOT in islam}is alien to muslims:the absence of this supreme law of God is WHY we have Jihadism, the classification in the koran of humanity into infidels and muslims and 1,400 years of war and conquest.
The Iranians are enslaved by the “holy” men of islam who use fear and terror to control them:imagine how the concept of Love Others would interfere with their pagan religious cult:they would lose their power as the Bible’s Truth would set the Iranian people free.
No wonder they ban the Bible:Their koran is the corrupt book.
The Bible and the 2 chief Commandments are the greatest threat to the ‘holy’ men of islam.

I know Iran is a very hardline Muslim country, much like Pakistan. I’m not sure if the more moderate Muslim(like, maybe, Turkey used to be) countries would react as strongly as this to a person selling Bibles. But it does annoy me that our tolerance in our western countries towards intolerant Islam and its adherents is all one way. I feel that we are just too damned nice. I think that being tolerant towards intolerant, thuggish islam is a big mistake. I think it is morally wrong to be so tolerant towards intolerant Islam, which is always seeking to do damage to our way of life.
