Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

“It’s flat-out stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs”: NJ mayor enraged at being questioned on return from Turkey

Sep 14, 2019 5:00 pm By Robert Spencer

“It’s flat-out insulting,” he said. “It’s flat-out stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs.”

Yet Islamic jihadis have committed over 35,000 jihad attacks worldwide since 9/11. Should Muslims be entirely exempt from this questioning? Or should only Muslim mayors be presumed to be stalwart patriots and never questioned? I myself have been detained and questioned more than once in airports, as well as when boarding Amtrak trains. Should I have whined about “stereotyping” or accepted it as the reality of the post-9/11 world? The effect of Mohammed Khairullah’s complaining will be that agents will be more wary of questioning Muslims who have traveled overseas; this will make it easier for Islamic jihadis to get into the country. Is that what Mohammed Khairullah wants?

“NJ mayor says he was asked whether he met with terrorists upon return from Turkey,” by Hannan Adely, North Jersey Record, September 13, 2019:

PROSPECT PARK, N.J. – Muslim Americans say they’ve been singled out, detained and interrogated at airports – and elected officials are no exception.

Mohamed Khairullah, the longtime mayor of Prospect Park, said he was held for three hours at JFK International Airport in New York last month, questioned about whether he knew any terrorists and forced to hand over his phone.

“It was definitely a hurtful moment where I’m thinking in my mind that this is not the America that I know,” said Khairullah, a public school administrator. “I am very familiar with our laws and Constitution, and everything that was going on there was a violation.”

Some people have been stopped because their names are on a federal watchlist of “known and suspected terrorists.” Dozens of Americans have sued over the watchlist, saying their names were wrongly added and they had no meaningful way to challenge it. Last week, a federal judge in Virginia ruled that the watchlist is unconstitutional.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson, who declined to be identified, said he could not address any individual case because of the federal Privacy Act but said the agency “treats all international travelers with integrity, respect and professionalism while keeping the highest standards of security.”
‘Stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs’

Khairullah, his wife and four children, ages 1, 2, 9 and 10, visited relatives in Turkey who are Syrians displaced by war. They visited a beach, historic sites around Istanbul and a mosque. Khairullah met with mayors of different towns to talk about government and business.

According to Khairullah, CBP officers who were at the gate Aug. 2 when Khairullah exited the plane told him they were doing a random stop. During the screening, he said, they asked him what he studied in college, where he works, his mother’s name, his nicknames and where he traveled.

Khairullah said they asked whether he’d visited any towns with terrorist cells and whether he personally met with any terrorists.

“It’s flat-out insulting,” he said. “It’s flat-out stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs.”

At the agents’ request, he said, he gave them access to his phone, which contained private emails and family photos, among other information. The phone was taken to another room. Khairullah said he called an attorney as he grew increasingly uncomfortable and said he no longer consented to the search of his phone.

Agents told him they’d have to keep the phone, Khairullah said. They held it for 12 days until a lawyer from the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations intervened and helped get it back….

They have to be to preserve the smokescreen. Its the way they are TAUGHT from day one, Its the CULTURE. Is it a racist stereotype to say Chines eat with chopsticks? Or Mexico makes tortillas? Or Catholics take communion and celebrate Christmas? Or that conservatives want to keep all guns, not just a self defense gun, but ALL kinds for entertainment/fun whatever including automatics killing hundreds of people at once? Racist? Islam teaches Warlord Culture. Even when we went to visit Saudi, they had us do a War Dance with them. Islam is violent and if not changed must be constantly watched or better just banned because they TEACH it to the kids. It goes on and on. and Politics is a form of Jihad for Islam and we are stupid to allow it just as we would be to make a Nazitype, KKKLan or any Supremacist a President or even Congressperson. Supremacists cannot be part of diversity because they hate diversity. Supremacists are not part of Freedom because they hate freedom/Equality for ‘others’. NO SUPREMACISTS can Practice in USA and all Supremacists have to be under strict watch if here…which they should not be here. It is not racist or Arab or brown or Chinese, Korean….it is BELIEF SYSTEMS they PLEDGE TO which hurt others and demand Supremacy.

“It’s flat-out stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs”: NJ mayor enraged at being questioned on return from Turkey
    ……………………….

Actually, just about everyone who has been visiting terrorist hot spots is questioned–as they should be. This is not “racial profiling”.

    More:

“It was definitely a hurtful moment where I’m thinking in my mind that this is not the America that I know,” said Khairullah, a public school administrator. “I am very familiar with our laws and Constitution, and everything that was going on there was a violation.”
    ……………………….

As if trying to protect America from Jihad terror violates the Constitution.

Mohamed Khairullah knows just enough about our laws to try to use them to destroy us.

This thug also tried to oust a board of education member for opposing Shari’ah law:

“NJ: Muslim mayor demands resignation of Board of Ed member for ‘Islamophobic’ remark”

    https://www.jihadwatch.org/2017/06/nj-muslim-mayor-demands-resignation-of-board-of-ed-member-for-islamophobic-remark

Dan Leonard said he would not “apologize or resign”, which is refreshing anti-dhimmitude.

What religion stereotypes unbelievers? Says they are worthless? Has a book that says, “kill them wherever you find them..”

No Muslim can legitimately claim stereotyping above their own stereotyping of unbelievers and Jews. Pure hypocrisy.

I’m thankful for everyone who stereotypes muslims.I WISH THEY COULD BE PROFILED EVEN ON THE STREETS. We need more protection…
If the so called non militant muslims don’t like this then CHANGE the militancy and POLITICAL in their so called religion.
Our government needs to pass a new law defining just what a religion should be.
Muslims are the only large group of people on earth that are trying to take over the world and have used murder to reach this goal….They are not using a military force so there is no military war, yet there is a WAR so any killed are not in military war and therefore any death attributed to this GROUP is out and out MURDER.

    well, if the shoe fits….

Why didn’t he and his family just stay in turkey? Law enforcement is allowed to stop people and ask questions. A person has the “right to remain silent” but they do not have the right to not be questioned.

If he is so knowledgeable about the Law, he would know that he could be subject to being questioned when he arrived back in the country. Because of his bros and their cult of terrorism, it is now standard practice to pull suspicious people aside for a conversation, and when that one has visited one of those countries known for terror. If he knows the law and the Constitution, he should know “elected officials are no exception’ when it comes to obeying the law and being subject to being stopped and questioned.

He should blame his belief that tells his bros to commit terror acts.

Such a whiny creep..”it was definitely a hurtful moment where I’m thinking in my mind.” Well, there’s your problem right there….attempting to “think.”

And there is the usual “suspects”…cair, the un…but should be…indicted. they will want him to sue.

moslims will sometimes have a non moslim attorney, usually when they have been charged with serious crimes of terror, murder, etc.

However, when they have not been arrested, but have been questioned and they call it “unconstitutional,” they always call cair.
cair has a bunch of creepy attorneys and they rush right in and begin with the phobia defense because they know that no crime has been committed on the part of the police and they don’t wish the crimes of the moslim client to be discovered.

moslim gets in trouble with the law and calls attorneys who belong to the group of un-indicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land foundation trial regarding funding the hamas terror group.

One criminal calling his criminal buddies to get him off…and maybe sue the government.

          Sep 15, 2019 at 5:52 pm

The hon. Mayor seems to have a very “cozy relation” with CAIR.
CAIR, of course, is an “unindicted co-conspirator” with the Blind Sheik in the First attack on the WTC, just across the river from NJ…
An “unidicted co-conspirator” means there was Enough Evidence to indict, but for some reason, the prosecutor didn’t move on that evidence at the time … perhaps stratigically to focus efforts on “the bigger swine” at the time…
So the Mayor is in cahoots with these “con-artist-conspirators.” (CAIR) How many of his citizens are aware of this???

It is well past time to revive the evidence, & bring it back to court. CAIR needs to be prosecuted, at long last, in a court where the evidence will be weighed properly, so that conviction may follow.

I always trust my enemies to do the best that they can to deprive me of my possessions and my life. In that regard they are very dependable. President Warren G. Harding had a similar perspective. “I have no trouble with my enemies. I can take care of my enemies in a fight. It’s my goddamned friends, they’re the ones who keep me walking the floor at night.” In our highly political society, that would be our “loyal opposition”; liberals, progressives, Democrats, socialists, Democratic Socialists, Communists and everyone not more interested in doing what is right for our nation and society than obtaining money and power.
It seems that almost all politicians and political parties have forgotten their oath to maintain our democratic republic and the terms of our Constitution. Our government is founded upon principles that guarantee individual liberty; not special interests, not a special class, and not a special demographic. America was founded upon capitalism and rugged individualism. To change that entails radically changing our form of government for a totalitarian regime and centralized planning. This will occur only if we are betrayed by the enemy within; our friends who seek to control every individual under the guise of paternalism. There is no greater danger to our nation than their hypocrisy and their ambition.

        Sep 15, 2019 at 8:51 am

Michael P. I agree with everything you have said, however I do believe we are a Constitutional Republic with a Free Market Economy not a Democratic Republic. In a true Democracy, a majority vote can remove freedoms and rights, but in a Constitutional Republic, such as the US, we are guaranteed our freedoms and rights per the Constitution.

Let’s clear something up…Islam/Muslim Is NOT A RACE. It’s an ideology and a way of life masquerading as a religion.

Islam as an ideology is, at its core, incompatible with the U.S. Constitution and the freedoms espoused therein. Women are subservient to men and lower than second class citizens. Gay people are just flat out killed. Honor killings are rampant. Those who don’t believe are either killed or forced to pay a tax just to live.

While the Mayor is within his rights to be upset, he should be taking it with a grain of salt. Had 19 people of his very same ideology NOT killed nearly 3,000 Americans 09/11/01, he would not be profiled. Not to mention, the country of origin is a hot bed for jihadist terrorists. Further, if he’s not a terrorist, he should be greatful the TSA is doing their job keeping America safe.

In my opinion, it is un-American of Mr. Khairullah not to insist on his Fourth Amendments rights (with which he seems not to be “very familiar” after all), and to docilely give government agents access to his phone. Even CAIR-NY knows that.

Yes, indeed it is, Mu’min, Mohamed Khairullah …

For anyone to think –worse yet, to even be so bigoted as to actually conclude – that, just because someone affirms he/she is a proud Muslim, a “Believer,” perhaps even a proud Arab Muslim; so unfair — for anyone — to thus think or conclude, just because of such affirmations that one is, as stated, a Muslim, a true mu’min.

So unjust…. So unfair… — to say little, if anything at all about how illogical such is…

“’ this is not the America that I know,’ said Khairullah.”

It is certainly not, Khaiullah, it is certainly not – typically, “America” pretends for one to claim he/she is Muslim means nothing more than one affirming their proud heritage (“traditions” they hold dear, cherish, and practice…), it means absolutely nothing more than that. Absolutely nothing.

This guy is a mayor in New Jersey that tells me something about New Jersey and it’s not good
If he so worried about stereotyping then get his fellow Muslims to give up terrorism ,fat chance
He should go back to the middle east where he is welcome and fits in but of course he wants to convert us
He’s under no moral requirement to tell the kifar the truth about anything
I think I spelled kifar correctly

How this guy is even a mayor of an American city should be a red flag! Islam is waging a world wide war….and it would appear that they have figured out that migration and not war is far easier and more effective. Scary and sad. I wonder if or when the uprising begins?

So it’s OK for the rest of US citizens to be just short of strip searched by TSA but not you? Question is; WHAT WERE YOU HIDING???

Being stopped is annoying I must agree. However, we are not living in a normal world anymore. Certainly America is often singled out for terrorist attacks. Recently, Americans commemorated its biggest terrorist attack, obviously it will not be forgotten. In addition, many Muslims celebrated the destruction caused by various blasts or acts. It also noted that some Muslims rejected such insinuations. They always do. Other people also commit terroristic acts but it is the Muslims with countless terroristic formations that are in your face movements or groupings that is a concern. The bottom line is Muslims will always be suspects unless their religion grows up, unless the mayor grow up, unless they fit seamlessly into the communities they wish to be in…This is never going to happen because they don’t respect the Western legal system and way of life

I bought deck screws one day and threw the little bag in my purse, months later when I tried to board a plane for Vancouver, I was pulled out of line, A few of the screws worked their way into the lining of my purse. After an hour of explaining I was allowed on the plane. I have always thought it was the beeping noise that kept going off when they moved my purse with the deck screws in the lining—but maybe they just picked on me because I have red hair—yeah that was probably why they detained me. I want money, I will settle for 10 million—poor me.
