My latest in PJ Media:
Mohamed Khairullah is back, and he’s mad.
Khairullah, the mayor of Prospect Park, New Jersey, recently enjoyed a junket to Turkey to visit relatives who are, according to the North Jersey Record, “Syrians displaced by war.” (Khairullah himself fled Syria in 1980.) Khairullah and his family “visited a beach, historic sites around Istanbul and a mosque.” The mayor also made the trip into a working vacation: Khairullah “met with mayors of different towns to talk about government and business.” But the warm glow of his holiday vanished when he flew into JFK International Airport, and was, he claims, held for no less than three hours for questioning. It was, he says, “hurtful.”
“It was definitely a hurtful moment where I’m thinking in my mind that this is not the America that I know,” said Khairullah. “I am very familiar with our laws and Constitution, and everything that was going on there was a violation.”
Khairullah says that when he and his family got off the plane at JFK, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials were waiting for him. He claims that they told him they were doing a random check, and asked him his college major, his place of work, the name of his mother, his nicknames, and where he had been. Worst of all, they “asked whether he’d visited any towns with terrorist cells and whether he personally met with any terrorists.”
This made the mayor furious. “It’s flat-out insulting,” he fumed. “It’s flat-out stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs.”
There is much more. Read the rest here.

Basically, Falsafa, much of the Middle East is a terrorist war zone BECAUSE of Islam. Moreover, gravenimage never spews nonsense and meanwhile just since 9/11 there have been over 35,000 DOCUMENTED Islamic terrorist attacks worldwide.
The real nonsense that is spewed in our time is that Islam is a religion worthy of respect. No, it is not and one knows this or should know it. Islam is putrid, a sorry-ass excuse for a religion, a rip-off of Judaism and Christianity which in their respective theological blueprints are not inimical to liberty and equality under the law, contra Mo’s sick creed big time.
Learn. But you won’t.

Anyone who knows anything about Islam , including Muslims themselves, knows that Islam should get no respect…any group that condones murder,, even though. “their murders” are not considered murders, in their sight …well murder is murder…..So.. I’m glad they stopped this guy at the airport ….but….he should have been stopped st the polls. Who elected him any way? Democrats I suppose both muslim and non muslim We don’t need more Muslims in elected positions……it will come back to haunt those non Muslims who vote for them.
Of course most know that the Democrats are going to use any and everyone they can scrape up, including Muslims ,Hispanic and all others both legal and illegal, for positions local, state and federal, to get their people elected so they can control all facets if government.
A lot of this comes back to those Republicans who are registered but don’t vote and those illegals who are not registered.
GET OUT GET REGISTERED ….VOTE! Voting is on of the few privileges we have left. Let the Dems in and even that privilege may be in jeopardy.

Islam is an ideology not a religion, Islam was invented by a warlord who had a plan to take over the world as he knew it. Muhammad may not have even existed, and if he was a prophet, why did Allah allow a woman to poison him? A Jewish woman to boot. Where is this Allah that was inserted into Islam? There was hundreds of idols in the Kaaba, and Muhammad took over and made one of the Allah, a moon god. The Kaaba holds many idols to this day and the Muslims circle the Kaaba for a black stone of Muhammad which is having idols as their main event to war. They practice what the great pedophile has done as the last prophet. He was a self declared prophet who conversed with Demons in a cave. You can’t take away my words by banning me. I have many ways to get the word out and the truth will always be FACTS Facts can not be changed they are what they are.

Turkey was/is a highway for jihadists heading to Syria. Turkish support of jihadists was a strategic decision by Turkish authorities with the goal of influencing Middle East affairs using non-state actors,Iran-style. Their ties with the likes of Hamas are simply one aspect of this strategy. Turkish authorities are fuelling anti-American and anti-Western sentiments. Then there’s the matter of the crackdown on Kurds under the guise of combating terrorism. So, yes, calling it a “terrorist war zone” is perfectly accurate.

So Khairullah went on a personal “junket” to Turkey to “meet his displaced relatives from Syria”, and then while there (and to write this off as a business trip and get reimbursed), he grabbed the opportunity to meet “mayors of different towns” (was it on a whim and without appointments?) and talk about “government and business”. Really? Prospect Park, NJ has a lot to learn from small towns in Turkey on how to their govern their subjects and attract new business? I wonder what he really did there.
How can one misconstrue this act to be wrong and abnormal?
I smell a Tlaib here.
James Lincoln says
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials were doing their jobs. They were appropriately profiling.
Profiling is the practice of identifying people who are more likely to be involved in criminal activity.
And Muslims, especially ones arriving from countries like Turkey, are more likely to be involved in criminal activity-including terrorism.
I say, let the mayor be furious. After all, he still is a Muslim-a member of a group that advocates for the replacement of the U.S. Constitution with sharia law.
Falsafa says
@JLincoln says“And Muslims, especially ones arriving from countries like Turkey, are more likely to be involved in criminal activity-including terrorism.“
The level of ignorance and prejudice – ie American ignorance couples with the bigotry of being a Spencer fan is not suprising but it is revolting nonetheless.
gravenimage says
Is the ludicrously self-styled “Falsafa” trying to pretend that there is not a long, ugly history of Muslims waging violent Jihad after returning from Jihad terror zones? This has been especially common with Muslims returning from Syrian camps, which are hotbeds of ISIS, but it is also true of all parts of Dar-al-Islam.
Saying that measures intended to protect Americans from Jihad terror are “revolting” should not surprise.
Wellington says
Falsafa: What you fail to grasp, among so many other matters, is that Islam is one gigantic belief system of ignorance and prejudice. Meanwhile, America over the past century or so has done more to preserve freedom than any polity in history, even ancient Athens. You won’t get any of this, but then the total metaphorical tonnage of what you don’t get approaches the incalculable.
Get lost. You will make no headway here at JW with sundry regular posters who know the true worth of Islam, which is to say the enormous rot which can be found in the Islamic faith—for starters, death for apostasy. Oh yeah, go away—but if you don’t I predict anything you write will only make Islam look all the more decrepit because EVERY defense of Islam, once cogently examined, merely reinforces just how rotten Islam truly is.
James Lincoln says
Falsafa,
My post, as written above is factual and evidence-based. Since you cannot factually refute it, you choose to throw around words like “ignorance, prejudice, and bigotry”. This is right of the playbook of both Muslims and leftists.
You can’t handle the truth.
Herb L says
If the United States refuses to identify an enemy, because of Islamophobia, then we have to admit that OUR government has sold us American Patriots out, and has submitted all of us to Islam. Don’t you understand that a Muslim take Mercy and appeasement as submission to Islam? We did not vote for OUR Government to sell us to the Muslims or Islam, but here we are with their propaganda machine that call us names for being alert to known Terrorists and they all follow the same book. They have no choice as they are not allowed to transcribe the Quran, and a Imam is the real dictatorship running this ideology of Islam. Re, “Every muslim is suspect. Their qur’an tells them to be enemies to us”
Correct – and for just that very reason. Therefore, EVERY muslim is a potential Sudden Jihad Syndrome (SJS) event, just watiing to happen at any such time any one of them decides to seriously act on their qur’an’s commands (demands) to kill all the rest of us wherever they can, whenever they can, and however they can. Anybody who does not regard this as being a serious factual reality, and keeping it in mind, must be gullible and stupid.

moslims lie and commit acts of terror. Many of the acts of terror involve airplanes. In times past, hijacking and forcing the flight to go where the terrorists could escape capture. In recent history, flying them into buildings, carrying explosives on-board…in their shoes, in their underwear…and computers.
Because moslims did all of these, and more, everyone else has to be searched and researched, handled and mishandled…a lot of the time by moslims.
This ugly creep goes to a country where the leader regularly threatens everyone else with sending moslim terrorists to flood their countries, etc. He says…and never trust a moslim to say what he was really doing…he was on a vacation, but went to meet with other “mayors” and “businessmen”….none Americans, but turkeys who live in a moslim country where they have the ability to persecute non moslims with impunity. He also met with his relatives from syria…..who can say that these relatives aren’t terrorists in waiting or haven’t already committed some terror?
This ugly creep wants to be treated special…not be stopped and questioned…even at random.
He wants to breeze on through, esp when the inspectors find out that he is a mayor someplace. When they find out he visited turkey, they have every reason to “profile” him.
Profiling is a tool crafted years ago to help law enforcement find repeat criminals, such as serial rapists and serial killers. Repeat criminals exhibit traits that help law enforcement identify and catch them. It makes for interesting study.
If it can be used to **prevent** criminal acts…such as terrorism…then it rightly should be. Can this guy be trusted to tell the truth about his visit? If he doesn’t like the heat, perhaps turkey has a town that needs a mayor of his girth.

The end of Mr. Spencer’s article (not printed above):-
“The ominous aspect of Mohamed Khairullah’s rage and complaints is what their effects could be. In the future, agents may become more wary of questioning Muslims who have traveled overseas; this will make it easier for Islamic jihadis to get into the country. Is that what Mohamed Khairullah, the patriotic mayor of Prospect Park, New Jersey, wants? Is that what any American should want?”
This surely is the whole point. The syndrome of ‘he who doth protest too much’ is symptomatic of the ‘devious’ criminal who attempts to preempt an expected negative outcome of proper scrutiny by attempting to assert a spurious facade of righteous innocence. It’s the sort of thing that should set the alarm bells ringing for any arresting police officer. Just one question – what sort of area is Prospect Park? Is it heavily enriched by disciples of the ‘Religion of Peace’? Because, if it isn’t, what’s the reason for it having a muslim Mayor if the that sort of person doesn’t reflect the majority of the citizens there? I ask that question because, over here in the UK, we seem to have fashion for muslim Mayors and Deputy Mayors who seem to represent a only small minority of the local electorate. That might seem innocuous enough at first glance, but there is now something of a case history of corruption and malpractice once devotees of the Great Prophet get themselves into influential positions, the worst recent case being the ‘Islamic Republic of Tower Hamlets’ in London, where Central Government had to take control of the place following near-total corruption of the borough. Has anything like that happened across the pond yet?
Trick_or_Treat says
WHY the hell are people from foreign counties, who have been in your country for proverbially the ‘two shakes of the lamb’s tail’, and/or who hold dual nationality citizenships (aka alliegences), being allowed to attain such public office positions like, Members of Federal Congress, Governors, Mayors, Police officers, or Police or Emergency Service Commissioners, etc, etc? This is insanity!
At least here in Australia, under subsection 44(i) of our Australian Constitution, any such people are prohibited from standing for ANY public election or holding ANY public office whatsoever – be it even an alderman of a local council. This even includes ME, because, although I was born here as an Australian (many decades ago now), also hold Citizenship and passports other than Australian.
A person has to renounce ANY foreign citicenships/alliegences they have, and also be and Australian citizen, BEFORE they are legally allowed to stand for election, or be commissioned to ANY public office – AND, unless you were born here, you also have to have resided here for a certain length of time before you become eligible for to apply for Australian Citizenship. It’s not that long, but some of us think it should be longer, or at least should have riders and caveats re running for Public Office.
Many of us believe that just renouncing any other citizenships alone does not go far enough, and that one should also have to swear renunciation of ideologies or doctrines that are deemed contrary and incompatible to Australian society, standards, and principles (and this would have to include anything that is hostile to, or anti Judeo-Christian).
NotALibNoMo says

I’m a blue-eyed, blonde, native born Christian American Pastor who returned from a trip to Turkey in June, 2015, and was also detained and questioned at the Atlanta Airport by homeland security agents, who asked me almost exactly the same questions. They were interested because I’d visited several towns a few miles from the Syrian border, as part of our guided trip itinerary. When they realized I’d been on a Seminary trip to the region of the Old Testament’s Abraham, and heard from others in my group the same story, they were satisfied. I left the airport puzzled by their polite questioning, but then a few months later, ISIS got going publicly and it became clear to me that recruits were crossing into Syria right where I’d visited. Good job, guys! Get off your high horse, Mayor ‘I’m Too Damn Important to Answer Questions!’ You’re not more special than me, or more ‘persecuted.’
