My latest in PJ Media:
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Sunday: “If the Taliban don’t behave, if they don’t deliver on the commitments that they’ve made to us now for weeks, and in some cases months, the president is not going to reduce the pressure, we’re not going to reduce our support for the Afghan security forces that have fought so hard there in Afghanistan.”
Well, then, apparently we’re going to stay in Afghanistan forever and a day, because here is a news flash: the Taliban aren’t going to “behave.”
Pompeo’s statement comes after President Trump announced that he had scheduled peace talks with “major leaders” of the Taliban at Camp David. Pompeo explained, “President Trump ultimately made the decision. He said, ‘I want to talk to [President] Ashraf Ghani. I want to talk to these Taliban negotiators. I want to look them in the eye. I want to see if we can get to the final outcome we needed.’”
However, Trump canceled these talks after the Taliban killed an American soldier. The President suggested that these talks would be resumed if the Taliban changed their behavior. When he was asked Sunday if the administration’s talk with the Taliban were dead, Pompeo implied that they were not, saying, “For the time being they are.”
But the Taliban are not going to change their behavior, because that behavior is based on what they consider to be their responsibility before the god of the universe.
Even if the Taliban decide to give the appearance of “behaving,” it will be after the manner of the “Palestinians”: an insincere commitment to peace talks that they are only participating in so as to win concessions from the Afghan government and Trump that they couldn’t win on the battlefield.
This entire comic opera of negotiations with the Taliban never would have taken place if there had been a clear understanding of the nature, motives, and goals of the Taliban’s jihad, but there isn’t, because that would lead to the airing of uncomfortable facts about Islam, and while this administration isn’t as committed to fantasy Islam as the last one, it still has a long way to go to reach a realistic approach.
There is much more. Read the rest here.

There is no peace in Islam….. and unless ALL Muslims, not just the Taliban and all other Terrorist groups change and reverse their stance on Islam, then war with Muslims will continue till God says that’s enough. God has allowed Satan just so much authority here on earth and if one has the insight then one can see, Satan at work in Islam, probably more so than in any other area today and that insight can also show that there is no God in Islam……Maybe God is using Islam and their FAKE religion yo bring in the end times…..Something to consider.

Sadly, Pompeo and Trump are clueless about dealing with and fighting Islam and Muslims. The right idea is to simply kill them in battle and take no prisoners. The rule of engagement in this war with Islam is ‘kill the scum’. Expecting the Taliban to behave is beyond naive and stupid. The day I hear that Trump’s government is hiring Robert Spencer to again teach the FBI, CIA and military personnel about Islam I will know that at last he is on the right track. Right now, regarding Islam and dealing with Muslims, he is in fantasy world.

Very true. And they NEVER will! It was pretentious to say the least to think that we could have peace with the Taliban as if we were talking to the Brady Bunch. That being said, what about the US Afghan allies who are child molesters? https://thegreatarchitect.blog/2019/09/10/americas-afghan-partners-child-molesters-and-jihadis/

Agree with Robert Spencer … ‘comic opera’.
“This entire comic opera of negotiations with the Taliban never would have taken place if there had been a clear understanding of the nature, motives, and goals of the Taliban’s jihad.”
Indeed, the mission of the Taliban is supremacism. The motive of the Taliban is hatred directed from Muslim fundamentalists against non-Muslims and their cultures. The method of the Taliban is JIHAD UNTIL VICTORY.
How does one negotiate a lasting deal with an opportunistic supremacist? Who will enforce the contract? Not the UN.

The question is who wants to have peace? No doubt that would our soldiers and their family and who doesn’t? Definitely the Military Industrial complex because war in Afghanistan is their bread and butter and the taxpayers pick up the tab. As for the globalists they want to see America become 3rd world country and breaking up into pieces for them to take control over easier.

The idea that Jihad exists because of the “Military Industrial complex” is ludicrous. Jihad dates back 1400 years.

Pompeo is a good and smart guy but what he is saying is only about short-term tactical stuff. Strategically speaking, that is to say long-term, there is no possibility that the Taliban will “behave.”
The more devout the Muslim (e.g., the Taliban) the more a dead-ender they are. Which is rather fitting since Islam in its entirety is a dead-ender faith—loving death more than life and all that rot. And if one does not grasp this, then one is destined to forever function in a fog of geo-political and military Purgatory—or even Hell.
Islam is evil. Proceed from this premise and there is hope. Don’t proceed from this premise and there is no hope—perhaps a tactical victory here and there, but nothing lasting in the cause of liberty. Count on it.

Highly appropriate comparison, Angemon, and coming a decade and a half apart, indicating that nothing has been learned by very well educated and powerful people, does not instill hope but despair.
My God, all of you Rices and Pompeos out there, get it though your heads that Islam is the proto-type for Nazism. The former preached a master race just as Islam to this day preaches a master faith. The hijab and sundry other Islamic attire = the swastika.
Holy Hell, no more excuses. Learn.

Our political elites are refusing to learn the mission, motive and method of Islam. They prefer the fantasy version of Islam that they gulp down at superb luncheons with Westernized smooth-talking Saudi princes.
Our political elites are intellectually lazy in the matter of learning about Islam’s authentic and eternal doctrines.
‘Eternal’ doctrines are not reformable, Condoleeza.

Oh, they’ll behave…just as they always have.
In an old cartoon, the police caught the big bad wolf who wanted to eat Red Riding Hood. They gave the wolf the third and fourth degrees and asked him, ” If we let you go, will you go straight?”
The wolf answered, “Yes. Yes, I’ll go straight.” And as he leaped from the chair and jumped out the window, he yelled, “ill go straight. Straight to Grandma’s house.”
“Can a…..change his skin, or a leopard its spots? Neither are you able to do good— you who are accustomed to doing evil ( Jere 13:23). “

I don’t know why people can’t get this, but Muhammad himself said that everything you need to know is in the Quran. Just read the book but read the verses in the order of their revelation. Allah says in the book that the verses at the end are to take precedence over the verses at the beginning. So, in order of revelation, Surah 9 is actually the second to last Surah at 113. READ IT. All treaties before the revelation of this particular Surah are immediately null and void except those with a specific expiration date are those are not to be renewed when they expire. Therefore, Muslims are to FIGHT until the entire world submits to Islam and any treaties are to be made only with the “People of the Book” and then only if they submit to the terms of Islam and pay the Jizya willingly and in humility. Otherwise, any pauses in the fighting or truces are only because the Muslims need a rest period to regain their strength in order to resume the fighting later when they may have a better chance of winning. These Taliban are students of the Quran. Study the Quran if you want to know your enemy. President Trump, just read a few chapters each evening. I know it’s a boring read but do a little bit at a time and you can get through it.
mortimer says
CES, you oversimplify. Islam’s foundational texts are three: the Koran, Sira and hadiths … the Islamic Trilogy from which the Words of Allah and the Words and Example of the Prophet are derived … that is, the Koran and Sunna. Without the Sunna, there is no Sunnite Islam. 90% of Muslims are Sunnite. (This is not ‘my’ opinion.) You must read the Sunna in order to learn the METHOD OF MOHAMMED … jihad is mainly in the SUNNA.
CogitoErgoSum says
Mortimer, yes, but of the Islamic Trilogy the Quran seems to me to be the best place to start if a person knows little to nothing about Islam. There are many things that will come up while reading the Quran that people will not understand and I hope they will be curious enough to look for more information and this will lead them to the hadiths and the life of Muhammad. However, I’m probably being optimistic by even thinking that people will take the time to read the Quran and make it all the way to the end. The Meccan verses (if they read the Quran in order of revelation) will probably bore them to death before they even get to the later Medinan verses. I’m doubtful that most people would even know what you were talking about if you told them to read the Hadiths and Sira.
By the way I notice you use “Koran.” I think I’m going to switch to that because I always feel like I should put the apostrophe in after the r in Quran to make it Qur’an but I am too lazy to do it. So, yeah, I’m going to use Koran from now on and maybe that apostrophe will stop bugging me.

Not a chance that you can believe anything the Taliban leaders say, they only have a small amount of power over the radical subgroups they represent. On top of which it is their intent to lie and deceive their enemy. As Christian’s we are the enemy in their minds and belief system. Islamic ideology is never going to be at peace with the rest of the world unless we become islamic or their slaves. The fight will always continue between Islam and the rest of the world.
