What one listener wrote is noteworthy: “How is Krept trying to justify the bar he said? It don’t matter about intention or if you’d don’t mock it or deny it, music is haram so why would using Quran verses in your songs not be?”
Whenever I note that Islamic law forbids music (aside from nasheeds, a cappella songs encouraging jihad), I am excoriated as a greasy Islamophobe, but it’s nonetheless true:
Hadith Qudsi 19:5: “The Prophet said that Allah commanded him to destroy all the musical instruments, idols, crosses and all the trappings of ignorance.” (The Hadith Qudsi, or holy Hadith, are those in which Muhammad transmits the words of Allah, although those words are not in the Qur’an.)
Muhammad also said:
(1) “Allah Mighty and Majestic sent me as a guidance and mercy to believers and commanded me to do away with musical instruments, flutes, strings, crucifixes, and the affair of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance.”
(2) “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of whoever sits listening to a songstress.”
(3) “Song makes hypocrisy grow in the heart as water does herbage.”
(4) “This community will experience the swallowing up of some people by the earth, metamorphosis of some into animals, and being rained upon with stones.” Someone asked, “When will this be, O Messenger of Allah?” and he said, “When songstresses and musical instruments appear and wine is held to be lawful.”
(5) “There will be peoples of my Community who will hold fornication, silk, wine, and musical instruments to be lawful ….” — Reliance of the Traveller r40.0
“Krept defends controversial bar in D-Block Europe’s Thoughts after he’s accused of ‘mocking Islam,’” by Louise Griffin, Metro, September 27, 2019:
Krept has defended his controversial bar in D-Block Europe’s new track Thoughts, with some accusing him of ‘mocking Islam.’
Duo Krept and Konan featured on the new track from D-Block’s album PTSD – but people aren’t too happy about one particular bar.
The rapper was heard reciting an Islamic phrase that translates to ‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful’.
However, listeners have argued that reciting the Quran in songs is disrespectful, with one writing: ‘How is Krept trying to justify the bar he said? It don’t matter about intention or if you’d don’t mock it or deny it, music is haram so why would using Quran verses in your songs not be?
‘Make it make sense please. Do whatever you want but don’t bring Islam into your stupid s***.’
‘What was krept’s thought process behind that,’ another asked.
‘Ahh s*** here we go again. I actually liked Krept too but he’s officially finished after this,’ one more unimpressed listener added.
Krept addressed the backlash on Twitter, telling one fan: ‘If you mean every line you say its definitely not mockery. Saying I will never sell my soul and praising God im being dead serious. So again your forcing outrage.’…
“Again” indeed.

Many artists seek to enrage people with their creations. Rap Music does this more than most, but they’re hardly the only form of art that does this.
The fundamental question is whether the British have any stones left in them to tell the people who are offended by this to “have a nice day.” If this guy is hit with some charge of blasphemous art and the courts allow it to stick, the Brits are done.
Note to any British who are tired of this nonsense: Emigrating to countries such as Australia or Canad is a good start. You’d even be welcome here in the US –if we could ever sort through our ridiculous immigration policy.

Well then what about Queen and Freddie Mercury singing “Bismillah” in Bohemian Rhapsody? Why haven’t the jjhadists gone after Queen?
gravenimage says
Bohemian Rhapsody came out in the 1970s, when Muslims had much less of a presence in the West.

I recall a discussion on whether it was an Islamic reference or not, given that Freddie Mercury was either a Parsi or an Atheist, depending on what one believes
gravenimage says
He was born into a Parsi family and was likely an Atheist later in life–but this would not prevent Muslims from becoming enraged over an Islamic reference in Queen’s work.

You probably don’t realize that Freddie Mercury was a ZOROASTRIAN who was not outwardly devout.
Freddie Mercury’s Zoroastrian Faith Inspired him to Follow his Dreams
https://www.thevintagenews.com/2018/09/13/freddie-mercury-was-a-zoroastrian/
Freddie Mercury and his Zoroastrianism were something largely kept out of the public eye. The legendary musician known as Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar (now part of Tanzania) in 1946. The Bulsara family are part of the Zoroastrian faith and Mercury was raised within this tradition.
His sister, Kashmira Cooke, discussed this in an interview in 2014: “I think what [Freddie’s] Zoroastrian faith gave him was to work hard, to persevere, and to follow your dreams.”
Mercury died of complications due to AIDS on November 24, 1991 at the age of 45. The funeral was a private affair attended by family and close friends. The ceremony was presided over by two Zoroastrian priests and Freddie Mercury was cremated in accordance with modern Zoroastrianism traditions.

Wait a moment. If they are not supposed to listen to music how do they know what is being said in it?
To catch a phrase or word you need to be listening very closely
william carr says
RAP is neither music nor art. It was elevated to the status by the chattering class and the left leaning media. In fact most music today is mainly caterwalling supported by semi naked dancers, it is more closely related to strip club performance

“Muslims enraged…”
A daily event. So tiring. Really getting old.
Muslims, your religion sucks for a ton of reasons. Daily “enragement” is merely one of them, but which deficiency pales in comparison to such other things as, let’s see here, dismemberment and death, which Mo’s deluded followers in droves pursue with an avidity that is both disconcerting and disgusting and all the while backed up by the Islamic texts, Sura 5:33 and the Bukhari hadith, 4.52.220 functioning as just two of many examples that could be cited.
Let me put “matters” another way, to wit, if Islam does not deserve to be placed on the trash heap of history, then nothing deserves to be placed on the trash heap of history.
Yeah, Muslims, your religion sucks this badly. Not even a close call. And I will close here by saying eff Allah, eff Mohammed, eff the Koran, eff the hadiths, eff the sira. In brief, eff Islam. Done here (for now).

..and eff moslems being outraged, and offended!
Eff off to an Islamic country all offended, and outraged moslems!
I just hope our elected elite stop living tomus, stop supporting Islam , and pandering to Islam during what’s left of my lifetime so I can laugh at all the pissed off moslems as we begin to treat them and the cancer that is Islam , as they deserve!

Please, Wellington, now tell us what you *really* think.

I get your irony mortimer. Wellington always tells us straight what he thinks, as undiluted reasoned analysis and I think he would be prepared to act on it
. Wellington has plenty of what we used to call gumption.

I do believe, mortimer, that I should cease being so diplomatic and begin just stating what I think about Islam straight out. I’ll work on it.

UK: Muslims enraged, accuse rapper of mocking Islam for using Qur’anic phrase in a song, say music is un-Islamic
………………..
Krept probably was not mocking Islam–but, as noted, his intention does not matter.
Angemon says
“People”, eh? As far as I know, muslims are still a minority in the UK. And muslims aren’t exactly the demographic that pops into my mind when I think of bars. Why should their feelings be allowed to dictate what… oh, right – the violence when they don’t get their way…
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
This report seems to be written in a language that is closely related to English. Apparently, someone set up an alcohol-serving bar in the D-Block of some prison, and is being criticized for the anti-Islamic nature of this penal reform. Before commenting, I’ll wait for this report to be translated into English.
FYI says
Here’s a phrase from the koran that rappers should feel free to use and muslims really cannot complain about it.
Do you know why?
Because NOBODY knows what it means..NOBODY.
“Above it are nineteen”
Koran 74 v 30
nineteen…what?
Chickens?Galaxies?DVDs?
What comes after nineteen can be absolutely anything:it is an inconclusive statement
Laughably…
“Lo!This koran is a conclusive word”
koran 86 v 13
Now ,how can the koran be ” a conclusive word” when it has an inconclusive statement like “above it are nineteen”???
Logic and islam;separated at birth
will this rap do?
Yo yo word up
Let’s set the scene..
Cos above it are nineteen
look:I didn’t even mention muhammed’s WINGED FLYING FANTASY HORSE WITH A WOMAN’S FACE that nobody ever saw as we don’t want to ridicule any “prophet” do we?
mortimer says
FYI referred to “WINGED FLYING FANTASY HORSE WITH A WOMAN’S FACE” … Doctor Freud, please discuss these symbols with the patient.
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
FYI ponders the mysteriosity of Quran 74:30, “Above it are nineteen.” One explanation involves “The Magnificent 19” who carried out the coordinated jihad operation of September 11, 2001. Another theory is based on the logo of the Clinton Foundation, seen here:
http://static2.businessinsider.com/image/5a4f293a3225de9b198b4738-1190-625/us-justice-department-reportedly-launches-investigation-into-the-clinton-foundation.jpg
Why is this symbol in the form of an Islamic crescent? And why does it have as many stars as it has? (Count ’em!) The Clinton Foundation has an address in New York City that is just down the street from Trump Tower. I mailed a handwritten letter to the Clinton Foundation inquiring about who designed this logo and the reason why this shape and this number of stars were chosen. I never received a reply.
KWJ says
74:30 is referred to as 19 angels and guardians of Hell. You have to read verse 31 as a continuation. 19 is in the Torah so by Muhammad saying 19 Jews and Christians will be able to see the Qur’an/Islam as truth since it agrees with Bible.
Of course the pilfered stories and prophets aren’t the same but 19 is, so it must be true. Allah is semi-consistent not All Consistent.
FYI says
And do you know what ridicules islam?
islamic teachings about allah, muhammed the “prophet” and the “perfect” koran.
al lah{“The BEST of deceivers” k3:54}……
al lah has TWO RIGHT HANDS{sahih muslim 1827} and ONE leg
al lah has THREE pagan godess daughters k53:19-20
al lah gets Astronomy and the Anatomy and Physiology behind human reproductive Biology wrong{see on YT “scientific mistakes in the quran”:take note of the Biology ones
What sort of stupid god doesn’t understand about Stars or babies?
A pagan Arab god:al lah.
muhammed the great prophet?
He FAILED the POISON TEST administered by a Jewish woman who outsmarted him thus exposing him as a fraud {and he even admits in al tabari 6:111 “I have fabricated things against God and have attributed to him things he has not said”}the great warrior didn’t get to die in battle and allah didn’t save him from poisoning. He didn’t see that coming.
muhammed the “perfect man”?
Well,if a fat cross-dressing,African slave trading dwarf is the idea of perfection, sure I guess
{ Abu dawud 40:4731″When ubaydullah saw him he said ‘this muhammed of yours is fat and a dwarf”
Sahih Bukhari 2442:muhammed like to wear aisha’s dress whilst channeling “allah”
sahih muslim 3901 slave trading mo}
The “perfect” koran?No,it is full of errors{scientific,logical} including Theology howlers{Christians are not polytheists,mary is not part of the Trinity,Jesus[haha} NEVER had the Gospel k5:46,the Jews don’t believe in any Ezra being the son of allah k9:30 and of course “Abraham was not a Jew” k3:67 because of course…. in islam,all JEWISH Biblical prophets have to be muslim since allah is violently antisemitic}
Oldone says
Shh!!!…FYI….Don’t let them know, that we’re on to them…The Cross and the Star of David will put the crescent on history’s trash heap, eventually…But, I fear the cost in blood and treasure, will be most onerous…
