“It’s a great read, well researched, and very important for any student of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to consider the information being presented. Even for people who are well read on the subject, there are many new details to learn and absorb.” — DOV HIKIND, former Democratic New York State Assemblyman (1983–2018) representing Brooklyn’s Assembly district 48

Great, I’ll order it.
Change of subject. Has anyone wondered where the Leonardo Da Vinci painting Salvadore Mundi is?
It was bought by the Saudis, and has disappeared. It was not put on exhibit as planned, nor is it at the current Louve exhibition with 11 other Da Vincis.
Islamists and Saudis in particular are inclined to smash art, especially art of a person, and most especially art of Jesus. This is well known, established and verified, but it seems that truly greedy people have sold the most cherished western, Christian, Italian and world culture to the highest bidder just so it can likely be pulverized one day when it is surrounded by islamists drooling to do so. Not just ISIS has smashed art. Numerous art and artifacts have been destroyed. For example, see the Buddha collection at the museum in the Maldives.
And wrapping back, the Islamists (I used the term broadly to be anyone who is practices unreformed Islam) near and in Israel, aka Palestinians, have also a long history of destroying Jewish and Christian artifacts whenever they can.

Yes–I am terrified that the hideous Saudis have destroyed this priceless treasure:

Unfortunately, some people well read on a subject think they know all about it and whatever it is that contradicts their beliefs must be, by definition, wrong…

He’s a good man, Dov Hikind. But… he is susceptible to such as Imam Tawidi, who has claimed acceptance of Israel and derision of jihadis but who denies Quranic origins. Here is an article about such an event with Tawidi that Hikind bought this past spring.

I campaigned for Dov Hikind in his first political race in 1977 when he ran for City Council from Boro Park, Brooklyn. He lost that first race but won for State Assembly a few years after, and I am so glad he went on to become a voice for Boro Park in the NYS Assembly. (He would remember me by my former last name, Helmbrecht.)
I plan to order Robert Spencer’s new book “The Palestinian Delusion” very soon.

Just ordered my copy – Dec. 3 release in Canada.

After the plethora of commentary that the subject of Israel/Palestine has occasioned, it takes a bold mind to weigh in on the matter at all. If anyone can do so with clear-eyed originality, Robert Spencer is probably the man for the job.
