What could possibly go wrong?
“Most dangerous countries in the world 2019 – ranked,” Atlas & Boots, April 29, 2019 — Pakistan comes in as the 11th most dangerous country in the world.
“Pakistan: where the daily slaughter of women barely makes the news,” by Mohammed Hanif, Guardian, May 9, 2019
“‘I was raped, starved and kept as a prisoner’: How an Australian woman, 30, travelled to Pakistan to meet the man of her dreams… only for him to lock her up, force Islam upon her and abuse her daily,” by Cait Kelly, Daily Mail Australia, January 24, 2019
How much did Forbes get paid for running this article, and by whom?

Knowing how gullible women are, this must have Muslim backing. Providing ‘fresh meat’ to the raping filth out in Pakistan.
Not content with 4 decades of unchallenged gang rape, torture, drugging and murder of very young under aged girls in the UK and Europe by predominantly Pakistani men, they now want western women to come to them! If any woman was stupid enough to go there on her own, that would be the last we would hear from her. There is no doubt with that!

Oh, I doubt it–most Leftists are in complete denial about the threat of Islam.
And leftist women are not more clueless than leftist men, in my experience.

IF some gullible woman from a western society takes this advice and gets raped/beaten/murdered, would Forbes be liable for damages? Just curious.
Lilith Wept says
Not this woman! I am well aware of what Islam is, how it views women…..and you couldn’t pay me enough to go to a Moslem country, much less alone!
I’d be arrested and stoned in minutes for my …outspokenness !
Maybe it’s young liberal leftist women that are gullible enough to believe that they can go anywhere in the world , especially Moslem countries, and do anything they want….
They try and prove that the “ sugar coated, warm and fuzzy feeling” fantasy version of the world ( and Islam) they’ve been taught in liberal college really exists….and when they find out it doesn’t, world really does have dangerous places, they reap the results …..of going to those “ dangerous places and people” and end up beaten, raped robbed or killed.
Liberal leftism is a mental illness anyway….

“More like “kick the Bucket” list. Someone should ask Forbes’ single female staff members to try out these “suggestions” before their employer publishes such trash.

This “advice” will kill women.
Do not go into Muslim countries unless you can guarantee your time will be spent in Western Hotels and hotel taxis. Zero contact with the locals. You will survive without many incidents. Definitely a few.

For instance, she said she had to dress in “loose” clothing, although she didn’t need to wear a hijab. I see it somewhat like an experienced tightrope walker recommending a leisurely stroll on a tightrope over a magnificent water falls. The view is definitely worth seeing, if you can avoid the fall.

Because no rational female wishes to have her loved ones witness her being kidnapped, raped, tortured, “converted” and then murdered. If it’s gonna’ happen, she wishes to spare her loved ones the emotional horror of seeing it happen to her. Therefore, travel “solo” on the so-called “bucket list.” And advise friends and relatives not to look for them to return until they see the whites of their eyes.
This is suggesting suicide for “solo traveling women.”
The U.S. State Dept has a list of countries that are unsafe and advise Americans not to visit. Pakistan is one of those. This article from huffpost says that the U.S. gov employees in Pakistan are not allowed to stay in hotels or use public transportation….due to security risks. How safe would it be for a “solo” female to go there? How would she travel and where would she stay?

James says
I remember long ago when I was young and the wars had not begun in the Near East, and I visited Afghanistan and Iran and Turkey using native buses. The trip was nice, a great adventure and I enjoyed it, but that the driving and roads were dangerous. People I have known have been killed in traffic accidents in safe old America, so you can imagine what it could be like in places like that, with all due respect for the many nice people who live there. Our drivers drove like crazy sometimes. There was one night when we were in the mountains with deep canyons next to the road, and there was rain and the driver passed vehicles on curves overlooking the depths of the mountain chasms, and one of the passengers on the bus said he held onto his seat the whole night long and could not sleep, he was so afraid. I recalled this adventure later at a Peace Corps interview, and I thought it was just an interesting anecdote and showed I had a spirit of adventure. The woman interviewer looked at me oddly and said, “You know you are supposed to respect other cultures?….” Needless to say, I was not invited back, and I never wanted to be in the Peace Corps after that either. This mentality of “you have to respect other cultures” used to defend reckless driving by a bus driver in a 3rd world country is typical of the multi-culti mentality of some people. It presumably explains the two young women who were killed in the Atlas Mountains by “youths” or the man and woman who were killed by “unknown assailants” while biking through Jihadi territory. Or the Polyannas like Chancellor Merkel and her multi-diverse political elite friends. They are happy to risk ordinary peoples’ lives for their high ideals. But not their own.
Westman says
You have to keep in mind that being the nation’s most powerful official, in a nation with multiple pecking order levels, is close as a post-stasi leader can aspire to slave ownership in Germany, and as close as her friends can become to actual Aristocracy. Making the decisions for the “little people” makes for a heady breakfast while being updated and scheduled in High German.

Nice sentiments, to be sure. You certainly embraced disaster.
Why can’t we just teach the world to sing in perfect harmony? If only we could give everyone in the world a bottle of Coke and have them stand around on a hillside singing together, all our problems would be solved!

This is incomprehensible. It seems like God has sent to the Western Cultures a spirit of foolishness. It is as if the West is in a drunken stupor. There is something wrong and this article is another example.
somehistory says
This reminds of the Bible’s account of the time when ‘all the spirits of God were gathered before His throne.”
There was an issue with the nation of His people on earth and the angels were suggesting different things they might do as a solution. It concerned Ahab and Jehoshaphat and whether they should go to war against Syria.
One angel suggested that the prophets Ahab was listening to, be given a bad idea. This was chosen as the solution and the angel went forth to carry it out. One prophet advised against the move, explaining how the other prophets came to think it a good idea. It makes for some interesting reading. And has a lesson for us.

No this stupidity of the Western world isn’t a result of ANYTHING God has done…it’s all mankind’s mess…and all a result of taking God our of our lives.
We have become arrogant , thinking WE know better, WE can manage our lives ourselves and don’t need God anymore, he’s become “ surplus to requirements” and the British say about something not needed any more.
And it’s because WE have decided that “anything goes” , all focused of what makes us feel gold and not worrying of it is a sin and displeases God.
God gave us free will, the ability to choose . And we have chosen very badly. We have rejected God and embraced Sin.

They are advising women to do something dangerous. Forbes needs to be sued royally. I’ll say what they should be saying: NO woman should go anywhere near Pakistan because her life and health are in serious danger! Do not listen to the advice of a pseudo-financial journal!

I’m a man, and I wouldn’t go to Pakistan alone even armed with an AR-15, two Glock 17s, several knives, hand grenades, a stun gun, a bazooka and a cartload of ammo.
Lotus says
I doubt you’d get all those weapons through airport security. The metal detector would go into overdrive. 🙂

I’m sorry sir, but you can’t take a bazooka on as hand luggage. It will have to go in the hold. Lol.

In the early 1970s, a ‘free spirit’ girl from our synagogue, age 20, went backpacking through Pakistan. When her parents hadn’t heard from her for 10 days, they started making inquiries.
Police found her raped, naked body on the side of a road.
Pakistan is a sh-thole of a country, populated by men living in the days of Mohamed.
Any western woman would have to be brain dead to walk alone through that country.
Forbes has done a tremendous disservice to western women and should be held accountable for what will surely happen in the future to women stupid enough to take their advice.

Have the editors at forbes forgotten the experience of the reporter in Tahrir Square in Egypt during the “arab spring”?
They should watch the old videos of the event and then think about the terrible advice they are giving to young women who do not realize that any woman is in danger when in the company of gangs of moslim males. In any country…any country…where a gang of moslim males may gather and surround the women…
Germany, Sweden, France, etc..and this is no different in those countries made up of a majority of moslims…as is pakistan.
Lilith Wept says
Or the women in Cologne Germany when the Muslim migrants played a little game with them….called taharrush jinsi ( sexual harassment ) ..or taharrush gama’el ( harassment game) where the women were surrounded by groups of moslem men ( who keep the women’s male companions away from her , preventing them from helping her) and sexually assaulted, groped beaten, bitten, and raped.
Previous to the mass migration of moslems to Europe this was confined to Moslem countries ( like Egypt during the so called Arab Spring) but now because so many Moslem men have invaded western countries, this sickening “game” has come to Europe.

Lotus says
Yes, that is a very good point, GI. Never get involved in fights and brawls abroad, no matter what the provocation. The locals will gang up on you in seconds and the local police will take their side.
That also goes for non-muslim countries. I have heard travellers’ stories of such altercations happening in China and Thailand. It always the Westerner who is arrested, fined, imprisoned or deported. The locals usually get away scot-free.

However, since you brought up that fact….President Reagan had “bodyguards” and still got shot.
President Kennedy had bodyguards and was shot and killed. One of the ‘pope’s back in the ’80’s had bodyguards and was shot. Robert Kennedy had bodyguards and was shot and killed.
Just because people have “bodyguards” doesn’t mean they are totally safe from what the ordinary girl or guy might experience.
As I wrote though, the security of those two ‘royals’ was not my point.

In Britain we have the Politicos covering up Pakistani Grooming Gangs and while discussing it I descidede to look at Sex Crimes Pakistan.
The group War Against Rape (WAR) has documented the severity of the rape problem in Pakistan and of police indifference to it.[35] WAR is an NGO whose mission is to publicize the problem of rape in Pakistan; in a report released in 1992, of 60 reported cases of rape, 20% involved police officers. In 2008 the group claimed that several of its members were assaulted by a religious group as they tried to help a woman who had been gang raped identify her assailants.[36]
According to a study carried out by Human Rights Watch there is a rape once every two hours,[37] a gang rape every hour [38][39] and 70-90 percent women are suffering with some kind of domestic violence.[37]
According to Women’s Studies professor Shahla Haeri, rape in Pakistan is “often institutionalized and has the tacit and at times the explicit approval of the state”.[5] According to a study by Human Rights Watch, there is a rape once every two hours[37] and a gang rape every eight.[39] Asma Jahangir, a lawyer and co-founder of the women’s rights group Women’s Action Forum, reported in a 1988 study of female detainees in Punjab that around 72 percent of them stated they had been sexually abused while in custody.[40]
