Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

France: Authorities baffled, ask “How could this have happened” regarding Muslim police official who killed four

Oct 6, 2019 5:30 pm By Robert Spencer

“‘There are a lot of questions, and there is a lot of anger,’ said Yves Lefebvre, a union official. ‘The police are asking, “How on earth could this have happened?”‘”

Seriously? The answer to that question couldn’t possibly be easier. This happened because all the warning signs — the defense of the Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre, his arrest on domestic violence charges (cf. the Qura’n’s sanction of wife-beating, 4:34), his shunning of women — were ignored by authorities who were dogmatically determined to avoid charges of “Islamophobia” and not appear “racist.” They also weren’t trained to recognize those warning signs in the first place, because such training would itself be “Islamophobic.”

“In Paris Knife Attack, Police Ask How They Missed a Killer in Their Midst,” by Adam Nossiter, New York Times, October 5, 2019 (thanks to Kamala):

…At a news conference on Saturday, France’s antiterrorism prosecutor, Jean-François Ricard, said the killer, a 45-year-old computer technician who worked in police intelligence, had tried to justify to a colleague the killings in January 2015 at the magazine Charlie Hebdo and had done the same for other radical Islamist killings.

The disturbing statements he made after a dozen people were killed in the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris were reported to higher-ranking officers, a police union official said Saturday, but nothing was done.

The fact that this and other potential clues — including a video the killer posted on Facebook that imitated throat-cutting — were missed by the police administration that surrounded him, at the heart of an organization dedicated to fighting terrorism, has shocked the ranks of the national police….

…The killer also had contacts with “several individuals suspected of being part of the Salafist movement,” Mr. Ricard said, referring to an ultraconservative movement within Sunni Islam.

The prosecutor also pointed to dozens of religious-themed text messages the killer exchanged with his wife shortly before the killings, suggesting these showed he adhered to a “radical vision of Islam.”

In addition, the killer had stopped having “certain kinds of contacts with women,” the prosecutor said, without specifying.

The information now surfacing is creating an uproar among the French police, several union officials said Saturday.

“There are a lot of questions, and there is a lot of anger,” said Yves Lefebvre, a union official. “The police are asking, ‘How on earth could this have happened?’”…

Mr. Castaner told reporters after the attack that the “behavior” of Mikaël H. had not posed “problems.”…

On his Facebook page…are exhortational Muslim videos, films about suffering in Syria and the Palestinian territories, and a curious video in which a line of smiling men tap one another on the shoulder and trace a line across their neighbors’ throats, in imitation of throat-cutting. That video was posted in June. At least one victim’s throat was slashed on Thursday.

People in the attacker’s neighborhood of low-rises in the northeastern Paris suburb of Gonesse said he was “nice,” “simple” and “someone who liked people.”

In 2009 he was brought before a local court on domestic violence charges but ultimately received no penalty, the prosecutor said….

      MESSAGE TO FRENCH POLICE … you are being attacked by SALAFI ISLAMISM …

      Here is a brief explanation for French police of the ISLAMISM they are experiencing … https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salafi_jihadism :

      QUOTE : “Salafi jihadism or jihadist-Salafism is a transnational religious-political ideology based on a belief in “physical” jihadism and the Salafi movement of returning to what adherents believe to be true Sunni Islam.”

      Here is a very fine summary-description of ‘Islamism’ by Fr. Henri Boulad SJ:

      Your own puzzlement, and your sympathy are unfortunately misplaced.

      European authorities have decided on the suicide of Europe and its culture, and are pursuing several routes towards their objective. They are now half way there, and without some massive upheaval, the clock cannot now be turned back.

      You should turn your attention away from the hopeless state of affairs in Europe and look to how you can prevent the same thing happening to your own countries.

    That is a very valid question. France has aided Islamic states since they decided to coordinate attacks on the Austrian Habsburgs with the Moslems.
    I could list the trade in weapons and other goods with Iran & Iraq, and a few other states. Keeping in mind the sanctions on those countries.

    They didn’t miss him they brought him onboard. As with most western nations, in their quest to combat islamophobia they gave him a job and there are many more of them out there or more appropriately, in there. The citizens of these nations have no idea how deep this poisonous virtue signalling goes. It is beyond the point where citizens can trust anyone in authority.

    When I look around at what western authorities are doing today a question crosses my mind, are they smarter than a fifth grader?

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748704409004576146001069880040

    One classmate witness told investigators that Hasan sought every possible opportunity to share his radical Islamist sympathies. His highest obligation, he told classmates, wasn’t to the Constitution, which he had sworn to protect and defend, but to his religion.

    His Islamist sympathies would attract the interest of the FBI, which soon picked up on this U.S Army major’s contacts with a terrorist suspect, unnamed in the Senate report. The agency would, however, have no continuing great interest in Hasan. Among other reasons, its agents had seen the impressive evaluation reports characterizing Hasan as an authority on Islam—one whose work even had “extraordinary potential to inform national policy and military strategy,” as one of his superiors put it in his officer evaluation report.

    The same Hasan who set off silent alarms in his supervisors—the Psychiatric Residency Program Director at Walter Reed was one of them—would garner only plaudits in the official written evaluations at the time. He was commended in these as a “star officer,” one focused on “illuminating the role of culture and Islamic faith within the Global War on Terrorism.” One supervisor testified, “His unique interests have captured the interest and attention of peers and mentors alike.” No single word of criticism or doubt about Hasan ever made its way into any of his evaluations.

    Some of those enthusiastic testaments strongly suggested that the writers were themselves at least partly persuaded of their reasoning. In magical thinking, safety and good come to those who obey taboos, and in the multiculturalist world, there is no taboo more powerful than the one that forbids acknowledgment of realities not in keeping with the progressive vision. In the world of the politically correct—which can apparently include places where psychiatrists are taught—magical thinking reigns.

    A resident who didn’t represent the diversity value that Hasan did as a Muslim would have faced serious consequences had he behaved half as disturbingly. Here was a world in which Hasan was untouchable, in which all that was grim and disturbing in him was transformed. He was a consistently mediocre performer, ranking in the lowest 25% of his class, but to his evaluators, he was an officer of unique talents.

    He was a star not simply because he was a Muslim, but because he was a special kind—the sort who posed, in his flaunting of jihadist sympathies, the most extreme test of liberal toleration. Exactly the kind the progressive heart finds irresistible.

      The case of hasan also came to my mind when reading this article about the Paris attack.

      People are so wrapped up in their own little worlds, or are so focused on not offending the moslims that they just can’t see what is right in front of them. It’s like the driver who has his radio on so loud, windows up and singing along, he doesn’t hear the ambulance, two fire engines, and half a dozen police cars trying to get in front of him on the road. None of the flashing lights or screaming sirens is enough to cause him to look around and see.
      They don’t want to acknowledge the truth because they don’t want to have to do something after acknowledging. If they say, “the toilet is overflowing,” then they must do something about the resulting mess it made.

    • Joe says

      Oct 7, 2019 at 9:06 am

      If they didn’t give him good reviews because he was a Muslim convert, would they hurt their own careers? For the average police officer, it is better to risk attack than to be labelled a “racist”. Yeah, I know it isn’t racism, but that is the charge.

        That’s true. One of the main reasons he was not picked up is because in bureaucracies everyone is afraid to speak up. The nail that sticks out is hammered down. So best just to say nothing and continue shuffling paper.

      ———————————————————————————–
      Are those really the comments of supposedly sane and sensible serving military officers ? This is the kind of slimy self-serving stuff one associates with lawyers and politicians, not those charged with ensuring the security of their country. They wrote what they knew their superiors wanted to hear, and what they thought would benefit them personally and ignored the obvious danger-signals.

      Although it’s no excuse for their obvious dereliction of duty, those American army officers and French police officers were operating under political pressure not to rock the multi-culti boat.

      What is the excuse for the Left-wing “Acting Beyond Authority” police here in England who repeatedly misuse their powers in order to “get-even” with their perceived “class-enemies” – invading the Houses of Parliament to confiscate lap-tops from Government Minister Damian Green and breaking their own rules by revealing confidential information to the press ? Lying about an argument between Govt Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell and police at the House of Commons and faking “evidence” against him with a police-concocted false statement by a non-existent member of the public ? and in the debacle of “Operation Midland” – setting-out with the flimsy excuse of unsubstantiated claims by Carl Beech – an obvious fantasist – of sexual abuse and murder that wouldn’t fool a four-year old, on a multi-million pound witch-hunt against Conservative politicians and a retired head of the Armed Forces, and dragging their own country through the dirt by naming the former Prime Minister, Edward Heath, as a paedophile?

      (The ludicrous claims that a Conservative MP had tried to cut off Carl Beech’s wedding-tackle with a pen-knife, could have been disproved in 2 minutes flat by asking him to drop his trousers and show them the scar / checking doctors’ records and hospital admissions etc, but this – of course – would have been far too simple: They didn’t even bother asking Beech’s parents whether their son had ever spent a night away from home when a child…)

    People should proudly embrace being called an Islamophobe instead of hiding from the label.
    An Islamofile supports genocide (of the Jews);
    -believes in eliminating Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, and every non-Islamic belief system;
    -seeks out and buries every aboriginal culture;
    -believes that Muslims are the best of people and everyone else is the worst of creatures;
    -believes that the smartest woman in the world is only half as smart as the dumbest man in the world;
    -wants to destroy every archaeological site across the globe;
    -wants to destroy every great library of stored knowledge;
    -believes that a girl is marriageable at the instant of birth and can be mounted as soon as she can bear the man’s weight;
    -holds that Sharia is the only way for everyone to live by including horrendous barbaric punishments;
    -must make sure every woman must endure FGM as per the koran
    -hates Democracy, independent thinking, and Capitalism based on sharing inventions;
    -professes that the earth is flat,
    – the sun sets in a murky pond,
    -camel urine cures everything,
    -dunk both of the fly’s wings in one’s soup so the consumer will not be infected by E.coli bacteria,
    -always shake your penis 3 times after urinating,
    -leave the congregation and perform wudu again if one farts stinkily, ……
    -And many, many, more ignorant beliefs too numerous to jot down – but those who have specialized in informing themselves will be able to add to the Islamic belief list and proudly work to undermine Islam’s clerics’ attempt to rule the world at the expense of everyone else.
    Too bad Paris police have gone politically correct, because politicians are afraid to call in the army to take back the no go zones

    The Left, as Dennis Prager says, believe that man is by nature good. So by displaying trust, they expect to receive trust in return. It reminds me of a Bevis and Butthead cartoon where a hippie, new age teacher illustrates trust to the two delinquents. He leans back and lets himself fall, expecting them to catch him, but they let him fall on the floor instead. This is what we can expect from the Islamists. Or behavior like the Muslim who was made a policeman in Minneapolis and after a year or so he killed a woman who had called in for help. she thought the police are there to help citizens. But the leftists in charge of appointing police and the mayor thought that the police were supposed to serve as a model of assimilation for people from primitive, anti-feminist cultures. The trusting nature of the left. But they only trust the most reprobate sorts. They do not trust Trump or conservatives and have the most vile things to say about them. Yet when it comes to undocumented, dubious persons from the worst corners of the uncivilized world, their trust and confidence knows no bounds. The same with the EU globalist internationalists in Europe or the anti-Brexit politicians in the UK..

    Here’s the question that *should* be asked in the wake of this murderous ghazi raid: *how many more men – and women! – like this are there, out there, embedded in all kinds of positions of trust.. and how long will it be until they, too, do what this man did.. or worse, much, much worse?” Imagine the behijabbed nurse-midwife in charge of a nursery.. how easy is it for her to just quietly get rid of an infidel baby here, another there… or imagine what happens if one day, rather than being content with carelessness in infection-control procedures, intentional dangerous ‘accidents’ here and there, she decides to go full-on jihadi and slit throats or stab the defenceless.. ?? Or a Muslimah working in an aged care facility…??? The opportunities for a/ acts of sabotage, both small and larger AND b/ acts of outright open murder, going Full Jihad.. are myriad. And.. *any* Muslim can ‘turn’ like this zealous convert did.

    How many more people like this are there, out there, both men *and* women, embedded in positions of trust. not only in the police, say, but in .. health services… public utilities.. you-name it. It’s only a matter of when, not IF, more of them start a/ carrying out acts of sabotage, small or great and b/ ‘flipping’ and going Full Jihad.. coming to work with a knife, a gun, an explosive vest and.. killing their unsuspecting co-workers.. or, say, a bunch of helpless old folks in the aged care facility in which they’ve gotten a job as a cleaner or carer, or a bunch of little kids in the school where they are a teacher, or teacher’s aide, or librarian, or cleaner, or groundsman… It is *when* not IF. Sooner or later, more of this will happen. A lot more. I’d hazard the guess that plenty of low-level sabotage is being engaged in already.. contamination of food, intentional non-compliance with infection-control procedures when working in a hospital or nursing home, that kind of thing.. small sneaky nastinesses.
