Domestic violence is common to all cultures, but only in Islam does it have divine sanction. A culture of violence, the foundational text of which commands men to beat women from whom they “fear disobedience” (Qur’an 4:34), is going to give rise to this sort of thing, just as that same foundational text’s calls for violence against unbelievers (2:191, 4:89, 9:5, 9:29, 47:4, etc.) are going to give rise to jihad violence.
“Limburg: Man smashes woman with an ax head – Rescue workers shocked,” translated from “Limburg: Mann zertrümmert Frau mit Axt den Kopf – Rettungskräfte schockiert,” Frankfurter Neue Presse, October 26, 2019 (thanks to Searchlight Germany):
Limburg – Hard-bitten policemen and firefighters, who have seen a lot of terrible things, are horrified. Rescue workers are shocked. The people in the region a little later were shocked and saddened. This bloody act is particularly cruel in how it unfolded and in its brutality. Behind a demolished car that has crushed a house wall, there is a woman lying with her skull smashed to pieces.
What happened?
Shortly after eight in the Weiersteinstraße, about 300 meters from the train station, a 34-year-old looks for his wife. He is sitting in his black Audi. At 8:25, he spots her on the sidewalk. The man accelerates and drives his car straight at the 31-year-old. The car dragged the victim around 30 meters: across the street, then across the parking lot of the Kreishandwerkerschaft, then through a heavy metal gate that had been accidentally left open, and finally crashed with great force into a Grade II listed brick building.
What happened after that in Limburg is stunning: the offender got out of the smoking car and seemingly calm, got an ax from the trunk. He grabbed the tool with both hands and struck five times with full force on the head of the defenseless victim. The unbelievable scenes were filmed by eyewitnesses and could be seen minutes later on social networks. The autopsy must clarify whether the woman was still alive before the attack with the axe.
A police patrol, on another order nearby, is quickly at the scene. The officials drew their weapons and the man was arrested without resistance.
The police and the fire brigade approached with a large contingent, closing off the crime scene in Limburg. However, the car and the body were clearly visible. A forensics team of the Kripo in white overalls took up the work. Investigators marked items that the victim has lost on impact: a brown handbag with a torn strap and a cell phone on the sidewalk, a sneaker in the middle of the road. The investigators spoke quickly of a relationship act.
Neighbors and business people from the area puzzled over the subject. The couple has lived in the Weiersteinstraße for three years, was always friendly and well-situated, they tell television crews. But they were mistaken, and described another couple that is still alive and well.
In fact, according to information from this newspaper, the spouses involved in this case have lived separately for a long time. He lives in their formerly common apartment near Mendig in Rhineland-Palatinate, about 70 kilometers from Limburg; she and their two children live in the Limburg women’s shelter. The man is of Tunisian ancestry and was born and raised in Germany; the Tunisian woman was a teacher….
