Demi Lovato went to Israel for a “spiritual experience,” without having any idea that our Leftist masters would be enraged: “This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT.”
Now she has apologized: “No one told me there would be anything wrong with going or that I could possibly be offending anyone. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention.”
This incident indicates how cruel, small-minded and controlling Leftist opinion-shapers really are. She is clearly a troubled person, having gone through a near-fatal drug overdose, and she went to Israel to get baptized. To rake her over the coals for this as if it were an endorsement of Israel and a repudiation of the “Palestinian” jihad is ridiculous, but today’s totalitarian Leftists don’t care about that: they just want to make sure that Lovato doesn’t venture off the reservation again and do anything that even has the appearance of rejecting their fanatical Jew-hatred. And from the looks of this story, she has learned her lesson, and will henceforth behave.
“‘Sorry I’m not more educated’: Demi Lovato apologizes for sponsored Israel trip and baptism in River Jordan as she blames others for not telling her it might cause controversy,” by Justin Enriquez and Kevin Kayhart, Dailymail.com, October 3, 2019:
Demi Lovato has reacted to backlash she has received over her ‘spiritual’ experience in Israel including being baptized in the Jordan River.
Many on social media blasted the 26-year-old songstress – who suffered a near-fatal drug overdose in July of 2018 – for promoting the country amid the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Lovato took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday night to write: ‘I’m extremely frustrated. I accepted a free trip to Israel in exchange for a few posts.
‘No one told me there would be anything wrong with going or that I could possibly be offending anyone. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention’
She wanted to make sure that everyone knew that she agreed to go on the trip for spiritual reasons and not to take a political stand.
Lovato explained: ‘This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT. Now I realize it hurt people and for that I’m sorry.’
She also apologized for not knowing more about the conflict.
The Stone Cold singer wrote: ‘Sorry I’m not more educated, and sorry for thinking this trip was just a spiritual experience.
‘Going against all advice right now and apologizing because it feels righ [sic] to me and I’d rather get in trouble for being authentic to myself than staying quiet to please other people.’
She concluded the note by writing: ‘I love my fans, all of them, from all over the world.’
This came just a day after posting a gallery of images from the trip including one of her being ‘baptized in the Jordan River.’
‘There is something absolutely magical about Israel. I’ve never felt such a sense of spirituality or connection to God…something I’ve been missing for a few years now,’ the singer wrote in the caption of four photos taken during her experience that she shared on Instagram….
