After the 1949 Chinese Communist “revolution took place, there was great progress and change. Honorable Mao Zedong, who was a great leader of your nation, established the foundation for high moral standards.” This outrageous praise for blood-soaked Communist China tyranny appeared in an April 9, 2012 letter to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao from the Ahmadi “caliph,” Hadrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, and exemplifies ludicrous Ahmadi political beliefs.
Ahmad’s various statements, as well as those of his predecessor in the de facto Ahmadi caliphate dynasty, his uncle Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, would probably startle many of the worldwide Western leaders who promote the Ahmadis. Yet as we have previously examined in this series, the small Ahmadi Islamic sect hardly merits the hopes of misinformed non-Muslims as an ideological cure for the dangers plaguing the globe that have justifications in Islamic doctrine. Ahmadi political views are just as skewed as Ahmadi anti-Christian and anti-Jewish cosmic caliphate visions, sharia sexual mores, and whitewashed Islamic history.
Non-Muslims who yearn for an Ahmadi Islamic faith compatible with Western society might be surprised to learn that Masroor Ahmad often does not reciprocate with any love for the West. He indicated such at the Ahmadis’ ninth National Peace Symposium in London on March 24, 2012, an annual event that began in 2004 at “which guests from all walks of life come together to exchange ideas on the promotion of peace and harmony.” For Ahmadis, “neither terrorists nor extremists are examples, nor are the cruel Muslim dictators examples to us, nor are Western powers examples to us,” he stated in an exercise in gross moral equivalency.
Masroor Ahmad similarly attributed global extremism to callous negligence by developed countries during a June 27, 2012 Capitol Hill address in Washington, DC, while supposedly “Islam has drawn our attention to various means for peace.” “The poor people of the developing countries have become so frustrated,” he stated and invoked the debunked theory that socioeconomic disadvantage causes jihadist terrorism, such that “extremist groups…have taken advantage of the frustrations.” He demanded that “developed nations put aside their vested interests, and instead help and serve the less developed and poorer nations with a truly selfless attitude and spirit.”
Masroor Ahmad previously had opined in a February 24, 2006 London sermon that the “Western world is aware that the Muslims are under their subjugation.” “Financial hardship, circumstantial hardship, all the hardships that are befalling Muslims today are due to the fact that the West has one set of principles for themselves and another set of principles for the Muslims.” Muslim responsibility for the precarious state of many Muslim-majority societies apparently did not occur to him.
Two days earlier, the Al Qaeda attempt to incite a Shiite-Sunni civil war in Iraq with a bombing of the landmark Shiite Golden Mosque in Samarra, Iraq caused Masroor Ahmad to engage in anti-Western conspiracy mongering. “No one has tried to stop and think to investigate whether this was a mischievous plot by the enemy to rile them up against each other,” he stated. “All the bombs and other weapons which they are receiving are being provided by these countries.”
Masroor Ahmad’s particularly Islamic reproach against the developed, non-Muslim countries is monetary interest, as expressed in an October 22, 2008 House of Commons address following the recent global financial crisis. Muslims “are not allowed to enter into the business of interest, with the warning that if you do so, it will be a war against God,” he stated. “The Holy Qur’an guides us by saying: avoid interest because interest is such a curse that it is a danger for domestic, national and international peace…he who accepts interest will one day be as one whom Satan has smitten with insanity.”
Ahmad’s uncle and Ahmadi caliph predecessor, Tahir Ahmad, had similar condemnation for interest in his February 24, 1990 speech at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Without any economic analysis, he strangely asserted that the “role of interest in any economy cannot be described as anything other than inflationary.” He also issued the yet as unfulfilled jeremiad that “Islam has a word of advice for the presently exultant capitalist countries built on a hollow foundation of usury and interest. They are ultimately bound to tumble down and shatter to pieces.”
During the same address, Tahir Ahmad reflected another longstanding Ahmadi theme, namely animosity towards Israel. Reflecting his scaremongering concerning interest and possibly anti-Semitic tropes about greedy, capitalistic Jews, he bizarrely called Israel “perhaps the world’s most capitalist country.” In reality, Israel in recent decades has struggled to abandon stifling economic regulation that historically resulted from founding Zionist socialist ideals.
Reflecting upon the revolutionary upheaval ending the Cold War, Tahir Ahmad additionally engaged in Israel-hating conspiracy theories. “There is a real danger of revival of the historic Christian-Muslim religio-political rivalries in the new climate created by the momentous changes in the USSR and Eastern Europe,” he warned without explanation. “If this happens, it would certainly be of advantage to the cause of Israel. Israel cannot be conceived in the role of a disinterested and uninvolved observer.”
Pillorying Israel has continued with Masroor Ahmad, who has one-sidedly blamed Israel for continuing Middle Eastern conflict. He wrote in a February 26, 2012 letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that “[i]f the leaders of your nation had remained firm in obedience to the Prophets, they could have been saved from enduring various misfortunes and adversities.” Ahmad likewise during his December 3-4, 2012 visit to the European Parliament cited international neglect of Palestinians as “causing grievances and malice to increase in the hearts of the people from Muslim countries.”
By contrast, Masroor Ahmad and Ahmadi publications have only kind words for the Islamic Republic of Iran. A 2016 compilation of his speeches and writings praised the recent “mutually acceptable nuclear accord with Iran.” The compilation also contained his March 7, 2012 letter to Iran’s vile Holocaust-denying president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in which he wrote that “Israel exceeds beyond its limits, and has its eyes cast upon Iran.”
Writing to this leader of a dangerous Iranian state terrorism sponsor and would-be nuclear power, Masroor Ahmad once again emphasized Muslim victimization by evil world powers rather than jihadist threats:
It is undeniably true that the major powers act with double standards. Their injustices have caused restlessness and disorder to spread all across the world. However, we cannot ignore the fact that some Muslim groups act inappropriately, and contrary to the teachings of Islam. Major world powers have used this as a pretext to fulfil their vested interests by taking advantage of the poor Muslim countries.
Such statements make a mockery of the fawning attention received by Ahmadis from their non-Muslim boosters, as Chinese fortune cookies offer more enlightenment than the Ahmadi caliphs. Ahmadi leaders are false prophets in numerous ways, including as any sages who will supposedly lead an Islamic reformation. This is particularly so given the hostility Ahmadis often show towards free speech critical of Islam, as the final article in this series will examine.

no doubt that was a big part of it. nevertheless, the chinese commies, never ones to put up with competition for power, appear to have the only successful islam amelioration program on the planet; i don’t think the effort will do ahmadis – or any other flavor of muslim in china – any good. besides putting QR codes identifying the purchaser on every single knife and cleaver sold in the Xinjiang UAR (Uighur Autonomous Region) and requiring all commercial users to chain them down, all sales of same must be registered, and troublesome pious muslims are being “re-educated.” finally, the commies seem to be taking children away from pious parents and sending them elsewhere to be adopted. all of these together, especially the last practice, besides being as brutal as islam, are certain to quickly reduce the influence of the cult. and once the “west” as a whole begins to collapse into fascist dictatorships (much as the commies have become fascists, so as to keep the economy going) that care nothing about anybody but the dictatorial elites, i’m positive that this last practice will be greatly expanded, so that once the last re-educated muhammed dies (whether of old age or re-education), chinese islam will essentially die.
there is little that the chinese commies do of which i approve, especially removing children from their parents. in a genocidal/commie sort of way, one could even say that the commies are treating the uighurs gently; they could just as easily have rounded them all up and murdered them, as they didn’t hesitate to do (to millions) during mao’s reign … but they haven’t, so far.

The founder of the Ahmadiyya, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, spend a great deal of his life quarreling with a Christian priest who gave him a run for his money. The declared purpose of this sect is to destroy Christianity. It is as simple as it is primitive, but that’s what Islam is.
