Sure, but what makes the amputation of thieves’ hands acceptable in the Muslim world but not in the UK? It’s a Qur’anic command (5:38). Abu Usamah At-Thahabi’s answer would probably be that Britain is not a Sharia state or even a majority-Muslim country, and so Islamic law cannot be fully enforced. But if Muslims become a majority in Britain, which appears quite likely to happen at this point, then he would almost certainly be in favor of the imposition of this Sharia provision.
Abu Usamah At-Thahabi is an American. He was permitted at some point to enter Britain. The UK Home Office is apparently fine with a Sharia supremacist who supports the amputation of thieves’ hands, but in its mad pursuit of Muslim votes, the British government has long ago left behind any commitment to basic human decency. The Home Office some time ago banned Martin Sellner, Brittany Pettibone, Lauren Southern and Lutz Bachmann from entering, all for the crime of opposing jihad terror and Sharia oppression, and thereby made it clear that it is more authoritarian and unwilling to uphold the freedom of speech than ever – at least when it comes to criticism of Islam, Muslim rape gangs, and mass Muslim migration.
The bannings of Sellner, Pettibone, Southern, and Bachmann were just part of a long pattern. Pamela Geller and I were banned in 2013, apparently for life, also for the crime of telling the truth about Islam and jihad. Just days after Geller and I were banned, the British government admitted Saudi Sheikh Mohammed al-Arefe. Al-Arefe has said: “Devotion to jihad for the sake of Allah, and the desire to shed blood, to smash skulls, and to sever limbs for the sake of Allah and in defense of His religion, is, undoubtedly, an honor for the believer. Allah said that if a man fights the infidels, the infidels will be unable to prepare to fight.”
And Syed Muzaffar Shah Qadri’s preaching of hatred and jihad violence was so hardline that he was banned from preaching in Pakistan, but the UK Home Office welcomed him into Britain.
The UK Home Office also admitted Shaykh Hamza Sodagar into the country, despite the fact that he has said: “If there’s homosexual men, the punishment is one of five things. One – the easiest one maybe – chop their head off, that’s the easiest. Second – burn them to death. Third – throw ’em off a cliff. Fourth – tear down a wall on them so they die under that. Fifth – a combination of the above.”
Theresa May’s relentlessly appeasement-minded government also admitted two jihad preachers who had praised the murderer of a foe of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. One of them was welcomed by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Meanwhile, the UK banned three bishops from areas of Iraq and Syria where Christians are persecuted from entering the country. The asylum application of a Christian family facing a death fatwa in Pakistan was three times rejected. But an ISIS bride was let back in and given a taxpayer-funded house, despite the fact that she has an ISIS flag on her Twitter account. No terror charges for her, of course.
“U.K. Cleric Abu Usamah At-Thahabi: I Support Chopping Off Hands of Thieves, But Only in the Muslim World, Not Here,” MEMRI, September 1, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
U.S.-born Sheikh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi, the Imam of Al-Rahma Mosque in L iverpool [sic], U.K., said in a video that was uploaded to the Green Lane Masjid YouTube channel on September 1, 2019 that he believes in the Islamic punishment of chopping off the hand of a thief and of cauterizing the wound in boiling oil, and he said that he believes that this punishment is an effective deterrent. Sheikh At-Thahabi emphasized that such punishments should be carried out in the Muslim world and not in the West, and he said that punishments in the West are even worse. Sheikh At-Thahabi went on to say that there is no room for “flexibility” in Islam with regard to homosexuals, lesbians, and transgender people, and he added that Muslims cannot break the law and harm these people.
Following are excerpts:
Sheikh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi: This man, during the time of [Caliph] Omar, he stole something – they caught him and he stole enough to get his hand chopped off. They got ready and set up the program to chop his hand off. [The] hand is going to go. They chop your hand off, and in order to stop the blood, they put your hand in boiling oil, so that it will stop. Terrible! Obviously, we are not going to do that here. We are going to do that in the Muslim world. That’s what they used to do in the Muslim world, and in some places they still do it. And I believe in that. And I believe that it is a deterrent, as well. And I won’t bite my tongue for anyone about “Oh, look how barbaric that is.” Because if we were to start to talk about… The way they do punishment here in the West is worse.

Allah created you a boy. You are a boy, you are a boy, you are a boy, you are a man. Then the person comes and says: “Well, I think Allah made a mistake. So I want to change up this situation.” Yo, man, there ain’t no flexibility in that. I am African-American and I don’t want anybody to be racist towards me. I am a Muslim and I don’t want anybody to be racist towards me. Okay, what about the homosexual? What about the lesbian? What about the transvestite? What about this one and that one? Shouldn’t I, as a Muslim who is African-American, and people are prejudiced towards me and I don’t like that… Shouldn’t I look at it the same way?
[…]
Don’t you, as a Muslim, start coming with that stuff. There is no room for flexibility in that. The flexibility in this is… Listen, we are not going to harm anybody. We are not going to break the law with anybody. But does that mean that I’m going to say that what you are doing is okay?

Agreed! And the first step is ridding the West of Muslims. Every single one needs to go. It was insane to allow them into civilized countries in the first place. That mistake must be corrected, and the sooner the better.

It would be almost impossible to rid the west of Muslims unless e the west becomes a police state. One or two things can be done to curb their advancement….(OH IT IS STRSNGE TO BE AT WAR WITHOUT THERE REALLY BEING A SHOO WAR),,,,,, There are so many muslim organizations linked to the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD that one can’t keep up with them…they need to be scrutinized carefully by our security people….imams and their mosques need also to be checked carefully…and any and all who show any terrorist ties whatsoever should then be either jailed( or if the law permits, deported.. Our borders need to be tightened to the point of complete my stopping any that would possibly cause a threat.
These things might be a start to a better world…DISCRIMINATION?? No! Just plain good sense.

Agreed, Flavius and Savvy Kafir. The Muslim world was largely isolated from the civilized world for centuries–and we were largely safe from Jihad and Shari’ah then.

off topic. turdolt was threatened yesterday; appeared at rally with bullet proof vest and security people — terrible that this happened. people are commenting that this sort of thing shouldn’t be happening in a democracy. however, the basis for a democracy is freedom of the press and free speech both of which the dolt is encroaching on. m103 and the quid pro quo he has with cdn media. $600m no less to media who agree with him. sounds more like a totalitarian state to me

According to Trudeau, the poor unvictimized victim. But why would Trudeau hold a rally when a thousand other people had their lives at risk. Was he rolling the dice that the would-be perps would not put innocent people in danger? With that vacant jackass you just never know. It couldn’t be the Greens because it is too hot and uncomfortable outdoors these days.

Does Abu Usamah At-Thahabi want England to be part of the Muslim world? I’m sure he does–and the US, as well.

The false god Allah is harsh – The ONE TRUE GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is MERCIFUL, FORGIVING, not vengeful, Is LOVING and KIND and never changes!
Alah gets things wrong e.g. the Genelogy of Mary the Mother of Jesus – the Quran says Moses is Mary’s brother even though born centuries apart!
There are scientific and factual errors in the Quran as well!
One of the biggest is that Allah was a stone idol and one of MANY – but they say Christians worship many gods – an absolute LIE! There is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD and YHWH not the false god Allah!

Imagine the furor if an Islamophobic Group mentioned the forceful amputation of limbs from Muslims? There would be Hate Crime charges aplenty, but with Islam we all know the Thought Police have a different application of Hate Crime Laws.

”people are prejudiced against me”
How many people? Does it matter? I am sure that at least one person has been prejudiced against me in my lifetime but so far I haven’t taken that to mean that I have carte blanche in ways to treat others.
