Although nearly everyone favors it, the “two-state solution” is not actually a solution at all. It would only embolden “Palestinian” jihadis to press on in their campaign to destroy Israel utterly. “Warren Threatens Israel: ‘Everything Is On the Table,’” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, October 20, 2019:
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) took a hard line on Israel Saturday saying “everything is on the table” in imposing a two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
“It is the official policy of the United States of America to support a two-state solution, and if Israel is moving in the opposite direction, then everything is on the table,” Warren said during a press availability with reporters Saturday.
In a formulation more commonly deployed by previous presidents in threatening the use of force against America’s enemies, Warren repeated the phrase but did not clarify precisely what pressure—military or otherwise—might be brought to bear.
“Right now, [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu says he is going to take Israel in a direction of increasing settlements, [but] that does not move us in the direction of a two-state solution,” Warren was quoted as saying.
Warren’s remarks come as the left wing of the Democratic Party has increasingly embraced boycotts of the Jewish state.
Her remarks are likely to raise eyebrows in the Jewish and pro-Israel communities, which, while largely Democratic, continue to favor the U.S. alliance with the region’s only democracy.
U.S. support for Israel has historically been a bipartisan issue. The aid the United States sends to Israel is largely used to bolster the country’s defense systems and is reciprocal in nature, meaning the technology developed is shared with and often employed by America.
Pro-Israel groups criticized Warren in recent months over the hiring of an aide who worked with IfNotNow, a group highly critical of the Jewish state.
That staffer, Max Berger, “has spread hatred of Israel, protested against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), demonized pro-Israel American Jews, and promoted INN-organized ‘Liberation Seders,'” according to the watchdog website Canary Mission, which documents the activities of anti-Israel activists across the country. “He has also defended anti-Israel agitators and supported the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.”…

Even of idea of some people of dividing Jerusalem as well as other parts of the State of Israel between the Jewish people of the Muslim/ Arabs is nothing but folly. To engage the madness of such “talks” is a hoax and a farce .This is because in the so called “negotiations” between the heads of the Jewish nation of Israel and the leaders of the “Palestinians” the Muslim /Arabs the “Palestinian” leaders will speak the truth only when in happens to fit their agenda. The rest of the time the will be speaking half-truths and outright lies. For their goal is to obtain all of the land of the State of Israel ,.Even in it takes much time and it means getting the land piece by piece. So those “peace talks” are a hoax. For the “Palestinian”leaders are employing what is the Islamic doctrine of Taqiyya . Which is the Islamic dogma that lying and deception are good things to do as long as it’s done for the cause of the advancement of Islam. The insidious scheme is part of the stealth jihad .Otherwise known as “Islamic Gradualism.”
This sly and something subtle strategy of disingenuous speech, lying deception of achieving the goal of all the land of Israel a war ploy that will be a disaster if the heads of the State of Israel are foolish enough to agree to divide the land of Israel with Muslim /Arabs ,the “Palestinians.” For if such a “peace dialogue” results in a divided land, the outcome will literally be murder. For “Palestinian” leader will allow the jihadists use that land as a base to launch murderous rocked attacks in to Israel. As for example, Hamas of Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Such false hopes for peace which are based on the foundation of lies are nothing new when it comes to Israel . For example, the Bible in Psalm 55:20, 21. Reads “Such men do violence to those at peace with them and break their promised word; their speech is smoother the butter but their thoughts are of war.” [N.E.B.]

OK, so how do you connect Gaza with West Bank? A road corridor would be used as a firing point by Palestinians.

They can use air transport. How do Indonesian people go from Java to Sumantra or Kalimantan? How do we go to Alaska w/o annexing British Columbia and Yukon?

The ignorance of the West is devastating, especially by good intentioned people. West really believes their own idea that Islamist want 2-states. Like Jordan was not the first State on 78% of ‘Palestine’. (Palaistine is the old GREEK name from when the Greeks ruled in Hellentist Era BC. Greek became the official language of the region. Palaistine in Greek means the same as Yisra el does in Hebrew. Philistine is also a Greek name meaning Crude or without culture and referred to the Sea people (Hebrew: Peleshet). The Sea people came from Aegean and first tried to invade Egypt. Egypt records them as PSLT. Egypt captured them and made a deal…they sent them to Gaza region & said they would support these pirates to rule there if they helped Egypt collect taxes (some of which they could keep) and helped with trade, especially slave trade, from the ports of Gaza. But it was GREEKs that called them the Philistines or Crude people. They were not Semite but did mix in. Philistine is Greek. The Septuagint, or Old Testament, was translated from Hebrew into GREEK BC times and read by the WEST. Palaistine is Greek…followers of the one who wrestled- as in Jacob who wrestled the old power EL. Yisra is wrestle/struggle in Hebrew. No one called the entire region Palaistine until Romans (who had read the old Greek Histories and Septuagint.) Romans dubbed all the region Palaestina with Latin specifically to dellute the idea of a Jewish Homeland. Rome even called Syria Palaestina and Jerusalem Capitolia something. Regardless… the Muslims of this region do not WANT 2 states. Jordan-Israel were divided two states already. They want all Israel and thought that after Brits/France removed Ottoman, they could have it all. (And when the Ottoman were first taken out, the region was sparsely populated with Muslim, Jews, Bedouin moving in and out, Christian of many kinds (Circassian, Greek orthodox, etc) but much of the country unpopulated.

Too many people, including many American Jews, have been duped into supporting the two state solution with its superficial connotation of fairness. It would be, if it could be implemented, more dangerous than the present situation. Thank you, Bob, for your support. Elizabeth Warren is surrounded by the wrong kind of people.
gravenimage says
When I was a teenager and first heard of the “Two State Solution” I thought it was a great idea. Of course, I was largely ignorant of Islam, and this was well before Oslo and the First Intifada. I still foolishly believed that the “Palestinians” were sincere about wanting peace.
Elizabeth Warren has no such excuse.
Hope Ramirez says
Elizabeth Warren is not only surrounded by the wrong sort of people. She IS the wrong sort of person. Liberals scream racist whenever they disagree with anyone, but are the most bigoted people in this nation, using race and cultural differences as weapons and to divide the U.S. in their quest for globalism. They are all ONLY bad for our freat nation. They are our worst enemies because they have a voice in our government…and hell-bent on our destruction.

I have written before that Israel is damaging itself by becoming dependent on US aid. I do not favor US aid or military support to anyone unless it contributes directly to US security. And I do not see any situation in the Middle East that directly affects US security if the US institutes effective border and immigration control.
I also do not favor US involvement in the affairs of other countries. It is a huge mistake for the US to try to micromanage Israeli affairs. A two-state solution would be a disaster. The Palestinian Authority already has day-to-day operational and policy control over their territory, funded by the US and, yes, Israel. Elevating them to a full state would have only one effect: give them the opportunity to obtain military equipment that would directly threaten Israel in the case of a wider conflict. So, it is in the vital security interest of Israel to not give the Palestine Authority the ability to secure military weapons. I do not think the US ought to be pressuring Israel to enter a two-state solution, any more than I think the US should have involved itself in the Golan Heights annexation.
But, it’s true that liberal Judaism has been strongly advocating a two-state solution for many years. So, in the unhappy circumstance that far-left socialist, liar, and opportunist Warren becomes President, I do wonder how the so-called “Israel Lobby” will react to her demands.

“Liberal Judaism” has been advocating a two state solution?
The entire nonJewish, largely Christian/atheist/Leftist world constantly forces Israel to compromise its safety and give in to jihadi Arabs over all its homicidal demands, not least of which is the spurious two stae solution, which everyone knows, but do not care, since it involves sacrificing Jewish lives, will result in more and more mass murders of Jews and the erasure of the Jewish state.
Max Berger may be nominally Jewish (since he is leftist) but Elizabeth Warren is not, and far too many Christian, “ecumenical” and Catholic groups and churches spend much of their time supporting driving the Islamic jihad and boycott against Israel.
gravenimage says
True–the idea that this is only a problem of naive Jewish people is quite mistaken.

Good grief, the lefty Israel haters are delusional! Israel accepted two state solution in 1948, 2000, 2001, 2006. It’s the Fake-a-stinians who have always rejected the two state solution! They still reject it and walk away of substantive offers of such a “solution” without even a counter offer. They actively declare to Arab media and audiences that they will “liberate all” of Palestine, i.e. Israel… how is *that* a two state solution?
gravenimage says
Yes–both Hamas *and* Fatah have the destruction of Israel in their very charters.

“does not move us in the direction” “Us”? What do you mean, “Us,” lying, idiot woman?
She is not “president”…and probably never will be…hoping she never gets that far…but she seems to believe she is, just as she believes she is Native American, smart, intelligent, can get by lying her way through whatever situation comes her way, etc.
She wouldn’t have to try to survive living in a “two-state” non solution if that ever happened.
The moslims don’t want any kind of “solution” that doesn’t have the word “final” before it and doesn’t mean that Israel would no longer exist. Nothing short of Israel’s demise will satisfy them, and that would for only a short few milliseconds; then it would be on to the next destruction, and the next.

I don’t understand why ALL politicians, including our US mayors, are not briefed by accurate intelligence before they start making decisions. Get down to SIMPLE basics. Its really very simple.

I’ve been in this world long enough to know how the political game works: in the primaries you have good chances if you can appeal to a specific group, in the general election you try to appeal to as many people as possible, even if it means going back on what you promised in the primaries. I’m certain Fauxahontas is trying to gain the anti-semites on the left (“everything is on the table” tells us nothing about what she believes to be on the table – economic sanctions? Military intervention? Tweets? A strong-worded letter?). Still, it lets us know she’s strongly supportive of a “two state” “solution” – i.e., more of the same failed policies.

Israel will NEVER go for a two-state solution which doesn’t include protecting its security and an acknowledgement of its right to exist. Israel will NEVER go for the so-called “right of return” either nor will it totally abandon East Jerusalem as it did in 1949. Anyone who tries to broker a two-state solution will trip over these issues.
NO solution is possible without a change of attitude on the part of the Palestinians. There’s a better chance that I will be on the next moon mission.

This woman pretended to be an American Indian for her entire life to gain preferential treatment. A person such as this has no business running for president or anything else. After getting caught doing something like that most people would be hiding out in shame but that’s what the democrats are, lowlifes on steroids. If the Israelis want to be lied to and sold out I would advise them to listen to democrats. After all, democrats have lied to and sold out the people of America that they supposedly represent. Just imagine what they would do to non Americans.

Dear visibly-pregnant Cherokee
By two-state solution, do you accept Israel’s right to preclude Arab Muslims who left the area b/w 1948 and now from returning? B’cos that’s a key part of any Pali demand – that not just the people who left, but their descendants as well – should have the right to return and flood Israel, and demographically make Israel a Muslim majority state – much like Malaysia or Kazakhstan.
===================================================================================
On a different note, support for Israel is no longer a bipartisan issue. The only Dems who support Israel are probably the same Dems who support private health insurance i.e. the ones polling at <2% – the John Delaneys, the Tim Ryans and so on. Joe Biden is Obama's #2 – I don't see him being any different. Bernie is the chosen candidate of the Palis – Sarsour, Omar, and probably Tlaib going forward: I don't see Tlaib supporting Warren b'cos of this statement. Warren – she's just spelt out. The others – Beto, Boot-edge-edge, Kamala… are all pro Muslim, and pro Pali as well
The Dem party of Pat Moynihan, Joe Lieberman, Alan Derschowitz is dead when it comes to this issue.

The Gaza Strip is an example of what happens when Israel trades peace for land. They gave up the land but did not get peace. A two – state solution is the same thing. There is already a long ago imposed two states solution.
The original Palestine, with borders drawn by the League of Nations was originally was created, ostensibly, in order to establish, in Palestine, a national home for the Jewish People, in Palestine.
The British, entrusted with this task, proceeded to faithfully and promptly, to excise 82% of the original Land of Palestine, and artificially create a Muslim State, in which no Jew was allowed to settle, and called it, not Palestine, but Trans Jordan.
There were no real Palestinian leaders there, so they imported, from the Hejaz, Abdullah bin Hussein, bin Ali, the second son of Hussein bin Ali, the then Shariff and Emir of Mecca, and installed him as the Emir of Trans Jordan, later made King of the renamed Jordan.
Now, Jordan has a population of just under ten million, but their land is about 4.6 time the size of all of Israel with approximately seven and a half million Jews and just under two million Arabs, plus the occupied West Bank and the no longer occupied Gaza, with a total population of about three and three quarters more Arabs, whose fundamental article if faith, as reproduced and clearly articulated in the last paragraph to Article Seven of the Hamas Covenant, is not only to destroy the all of Jewish Israel and commit genocide against all Jews there, but to also, once that objective was obtained, to eradicate all Jews from the rest of this planet, before they continue with the quest to conquer and rule all the rest of this planet, violently force as many as they can to join their cult of death, then selectively take the rest as labour and sex slave and kill of the rest.
Two state solution indeed. The one, Deir Al Harb, and the other Deir Al Islam – The Islamic state.

Israel is being forced to expand. They have no choice. Muslims all over the world are attacking and persecuting Jews. They have to move to Israel to save their lives or be executed, raped and murdered by the religion of Peace and haters like Warren. The country is full and desperately needs more room. Warren wants to declare war and genocide to eradicate Israel from the map of the world. I doubt she grew up in a one room teepee with her whole family sleeping on one blanket.
