Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iran, Russia, China to hold joint wargame to send “message to the world”

Nov 28, 2019 4:00 pm By Robert Spencer

Russia and China might live to regret allying with one of the foremost sponsors of the global jihad.

“Iran, Russia, China to Hold Joint Wargames in ‘Message to the World,’” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, November 27, 2019:

Iran, China, and Russia will hold in the coming weeks their first-ever joint war drills, which leaders say are meant to send a “message to the world” about increased military cooperation between the rogue countries.

The commander of Iran’s navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, said Wednesday that the Islamic Republic will team up with Moscow and Beijing within the next month to hold the mass war drills.

“When we talk about joint wargames, we are talking about two or more countries with a high level of relations in various political, economic and social fields, which culminate in cooperation in the military sector, with wargames usually being the highest level of such cooperation,” Khanzadi was quoted as saying in remarks to Iran’s state-controlled press.

“A joint wargame between several countries, whether on land, at sea, or in the air, indicates a remarkable expansion of cooperation among them,” the military leader said.

The joint war drills will be aimed at sending a message to the world, particularly Western nations, like the United States, that have sought to constrain Iran’s expanding military ambitions.

“The joint wargame between Iran, Russia, and China, which will hopefully be conducted next month, carries the same message to the world, that these three countries have reached a meaningful strategic point in their relations, with regard to their shared and non-shared interests, and by non-shared I mean the respect we have for one another’s national interests,” Khanzadi was quoted as saying….

What message? The message that the modern axis of evil is alive and well? Do evil people know they’re evil? Do the revel in it? I guess they must.

One would think that cash strapped Iran had better things on which to spend huge amounts of currency. What will they be doing holding the others’ coats and who will be mock fighting who?

China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran are preparing nuclear electronic pulse attacks from space in a future conflict to cripple the U.S. military and plunge the United States into darkness, according to a declassified study.
“The United States critical national infrastructure faces a present and continuing existential threat from combined-arms warfare, including cyber and manmade electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack, and natural EMP from a solar superstorm,” says a recently published report from the congressional Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack.”

I find hard to understand the fact that Iran would join forces with China, a country which is persecuting the Uyghurs. It makes no sense.

No Muslim country cares about the Uyghurs, so why should Iran (since the Uyghurs are Sunnis, not fellow Shias)

Islam has been a warlord religion ever since Mohammed. A warlord fights to subdue others and cares not who stands in the way of victory. In this case, the Uyghurs are a part of another country, so Iran does not care. For warlords, caring about one another only extends as far as military power. The Uyghurs are of no use to Iran.

Russia is competing with the US in two places: Northern Europe, where the US brought one of the USSR satellite countries into NATO and is hovering over bringing in others. They’re competing in the Ukraine, right next door to Russia, where the US is sending Javelin missiles and making a national fetish of Russian hostility. The US has put anti-missile emplacements surrounding Russia, which could also be used as offensive missiles. In the Middle East, Russia is allied with Iran to push back the US-sponsored Suni forces in Syria, where Russia is pursuing the use of a warm-weather port and also wants to exert its influence in the region.

China is a genuinely expansionist power.

So, all have an interest is facing against the US. The Iranians don’t likely know much about the ungars and probably care less. The Chinese probably don’t have anything against Islam in particular, as long as the Muslims in question are not inside China. The best solution would be for China to allow the Ungars to secede and have their own state, but the imperialist Chinese are interested in expanding their territory, not shrinking it. China, the really powerful enemy of the US, is an ally of convenience for Russia and Iran.

An awful thing to do. China was supposed to be the new America, democratic and capitalistic. Now it seems like it is the new totalitarian giant allied with two countries linked historically with totalitarianism. Russia was supposed to be newly liberal and democratic. And Obama said it would be good if Iran was a “regional power” with nuclear weapons financed by the unfrozen assets and tons of cash provided by the US. What has happened to the nice new powers?

Big mistake beginning 20 years ago when we needlessly turned Russia into an enemy particularly with Clinton’s criminal war against their little brother Serbia. It’s also understandable given their history that constantly pushing the Western alliance right up against the borders of the heartland of Mother Russia would be of concern. We would also be concerned if Russian advisors and weapons flowed into Mexico. When Trump tried to improve relations the Deep State was quick to make that impossible. Another big mistake beginning in the 90s was trashing our manufacturing in order to build up China.

Re Uyghurs, both Shiite and Sunni jihadists have made the quite rational calculation that it’s much better to focus on the weak, self-hating and crumbling West than to take on the rising China.

      • rbla says

        Nov 30, 2019 at 11:36 am

This foolish campaign against post Soviet Russia began before Putin came to power. And this hatred goes both ways as we see from the desperate attempts of our deep state intelligence operatives to conjure up “Russia!” in an attempt to depose Trump. Recall that despite his animus toward the U.S. it was Putin’s government that warned us about the Chechen bombers in Boston and it was our ‘protectors’ in intelligence and law enforcement that decided to ignore it. If Putin and them Russkies really hate us so much nothing makes them happier than the way we are destroying ourselves as we turn into a third world nation overrun with Muslims,

        • gravenimage says

          Nov 30, 2019 at 6:02 pm

It is true that Russia did give us a head’s up about the Boston Marathon bombers, and I am grateful for this.

But the implication that this ergo makes Russia an ally of the free world is much mistaken–as is the idea that Russia is only joining forces with the most unfree countries on the world because America wasn’t nice enough to Putin.
